20 Best Wool Baseball Cap (2022 Updated)

Bought this hat in blaze orange to be visible while hiking during winter hunting season. While hiking up hill the hat is too hot, but I found that if I turned it backwards it sat high on top of my head it left enough room to ventilate the heat.

While not moving it was lovely for below freezing temperatures. Ears, neck and head were all warm. Camped at 10F and it kept my head comfy the whole night. Extremely well made, quality product. Regarding sizing- I measured my head with a flexible tape measure and the size on the size chart was a perfect fit.

I bought 3 sizes. 7, 7⅛ and 7¼. All technically fit if I wasn’t being picky. 7 was my measured size. Fit like it was made for my head, but I was afraid that it’d be too snug over time (sweat and wool maybe shrink).

7⅛ was goldilocks fit perfectly but left just enough room for no brain squeeze. I ultimately choose the 7¼ because it stayed on my head in big wind gusts but also left room for ponytails and a balaclava.

You know prepared for really cold weather. Mossejaw was amazing with customer service. Highly recommend this hat.

After considering the photos, text in the catalog listing, reputation of the manufacturer, being made in the USA, availability in numerous specific sizes, and the price, I expected to receive a superior replacement for a 25 year old warn-out insulated winter hat.

I carefully measured my head several times before selecting the proper size to order. Once in my hands, and on my head, the Stormy Kromer turned out to be considerably thinner, a much tighter fit, and much less insulating than I expected.

It appears to be well sewn and fashionable (not one of my priorities), but a far cry from what I expected, especially for the price. I see it as a suitable early fall general purpose hat albeit outrageously expensive for that purpose, but my search for a suitable winter hunting hat has not been met with the Stormy Kromer.

Who in their right mind would buy a wool cap in the middle of summer? Well, I never said I was in my right mind! When I read how a female character was wearing a Stormy Kromer cap in a mystery novel, I had to have one even though I didn’t know what it was.

That’s how much I trust Sheriff Walt Longmire. A quick online search brought me to the Mountain Steals website and there it was–the perfect cap for me. The women’s Ida Kromer with hardware was on sale and a respectable bargain, considering how it was summer and all.

I wasn’t sure about the size, but Mountain Steals made it a snap with helpful instructions for measuring my extra-small noggin and converting inches to a size 6 ½ cap. I immediately added it to my shopping cart.

My cap arrived in just a few days, carefully packed to maintain its classic shape. I pulled on my new Stormy Kromer right away and it felt like it was made just for me. Boy Howdy. I sure did hate to take it off while the weather is warm, but I’ll be wearing it again soon enough.

As we all know winter is coming.

It would’ve helped if ASOS had a proper size guide online, as I had to visit another website to find this out for kangol hats. The hat is very nice, however, I could not shape it smoothly how it looks on the models head, which was actually what I was expecting.

So I felt it was a typical situation of buying something online where the image and the end product do not line up unfortunately. That’s just my opinion.

I love this hat. I bought it in black and blue. I have a slightly bigger head than most people and find that usually the front feels too narrow. It feels like like a hat that could last but the leather strap along the back doesn’t seem like it would take loads of wear.

The color, the shape, the quality. All are impeccable, the fact that I can wear it year round makes me not regret paying full price, I’ve already gotten my cost per wear

Bought the blaze orange for hunting hat, but either the wax dulls the BLAZE or it is just not a great blaze orange fabric to start. Great hat, just needs to be brighter or thicker material, so take a look at it in person before buying if you want it blaze.

Great hat, love the waxed cotton idea just needs better execution. My wool blaze orange is brighter and it is 10 years old.

Our daily lives in the winter is taking care of cattle which means going out in the snow, wind and cold to feed them and make sure they have water. My daughter would love to come out and help but, because she would easily get cold it was difficult to come out in the extreme cold.

After purchasing the cap not only has she been helping more, she has been eager to get going from day to day. She stays much warmer and she adores the flower. It’s a durable cap yet stylish at the same time.

I bought this hat because I like the vintage hunting/outdoor style. This hat is very warm and the ear protectors pull-down nicely when the snow and wind are blowing. The front bill is just enough to keep the sun out of your eyes.

I would definitely buy this hat again and would absolutely give this hat as a gift.

I purchased this hat directly from the brand in a beautiful blue. It is since sold out. However, any of these colors is just as lovely. The hat is adjustable. The black tab adjusts, you can gently pull it out of the slide section it?s in for ease of adjusting.

It did fit tight out of the package but you just adjust to your liking. The Sherpa fabric matches well with the Sherpa coats on trend now. I slightly bend the bill of the cap to my liking and it fits well.

It?s a bit pricey but I don?t regret the purchase. It is a substantial cap from a good brand.

I have this hat in a few colors. My sea-foam colored one fits a little better than my cream one, so each hat is definitely made slightly different. The logo on the cream one is also off center which kinda bothers me but oh well.

The photos online aren’t always accurate either. The cream shows a black strap in the back but it’s actually white. Nice cap, but inconsistent.

Love this cap! Fabric (polyester made from recycled bottles) has a lovely, subtle sheen. Olive night is a warm olive green. This hat is fully adjustable! Just make sure to look for the end of the strap tucked inside the band.

This is a great feature, since the strap doesn’t dangle and look sloppy.

This is the ideal warm winter hat for those who believe that wearing a hat during the winter months is an imperative. The nice long bill protects my glasses during Vancouver BC’s ever-present showers.

I spray the entire cap with a waterproofing treatment for good measure and can confidently wear the cap in all but the heaviest downpours. It’s also nice to know that ear flaps are folded inside in the event that I need them but, hey, Vancouver’s temperate weather rarely requires it.

I have owned this product for more than a year and like it a lot. This is a hat that is good looking and of high quality. It is comfortable as well. My one disappointment with the hat is that the buckle at the back of the hat – that is needed for adjustment of the fit – does not lock down tight enough.

It too often loosens up thereby requiring that I take the hat off and readjust it. The space provided for tucking in the fitting strap is also not adequate.

This is the second one of these I bought in 5 years. The old one is in great shape, but it’s been used very well and isn’t the best looking with sweat stains from long days in the woods. It’s my everyday hat when it’s below 40 out.

It’s worth the price.

Outstanding hat, looks great, warm and lightweight. I wear a 7 1/2 fitted hat and there’s still about 1/2 inch of adjustment left on the strap. The lining keeps the wool from being itchy and helps keep the wind out.

Loved the look of this hat online, but I had a few complaints and ended up returning it. First, the hat runs large. It’s an elastic fit and I ordered the Small/Medium, regardless it still felt a bit loose.

Second, the front panel is actually quite large and firm. As a result the hat sat pretty tall on my head (unlike my standard fit baseball caps, which I would say have a slimmer profile). It felt bulky and looked almost more like a snap-back or trucker hat style in that regard.

That said, the color is great and texture is very nice. If you don’t mind the sizing / front panel, it’s worthwhile.

I have had this for about a month in use and it has done everything it has promised to do. It keeps my hair hidden and the sun out of my eyes. I gave it one less star as it is thinner material than what I expected (I worry about longevity, but it is wool, so it should still hold up).

Also, the forehead height is a little higher than what I thought. Just a stylistic thing, but it is somewhere in between a fitted forehead height and a trucker hat. I prefer more fitted. The fit is on the larger size.

I have a big head and the large is just a touch loose on me. In high winds, it can blow off, but no so much that I felt I needed to return it.

This hat is HUGE! I fit into most “one size fits all” and other hats, so I know I don’t just have a tiny head; this thing was way too big. I tried the s/m size and there was no way it was even close to fitting my head, way too roomy.

Bummed because this seems like a great hat. If there were a smaller size I’d buy it! Definitely try it in first if you can.

This baseball cap style of Winter hat is exactly what my husband was looking for. Something lined, with a peak to keep the blasting sun reflecting off snow out of eyes when doing his daily 5 km. walks.

Well shaped and expensive looking, great fabric, well lined. And the ear flaps, when used, shockingly don’t look silly as expected. They are sleek, hug your ears and are warm. Great buy and highly recommend.

I just picked up the hat from the store. It fits very nicely and extremely warm The only dumb thing is the strap the goes under the chin. I wear a large hat, so when I went to use the strap, it is so short, I gather they used the same length of strap as with the smaller size.

If I was out in the winter and needed to secure it properly, this would be very annoying. Otherwise, it’s a great hat.

It is my husband experience. I purchased him a wool ball cap for Christmas. Who would know we would have such a cold cold winter but he wears it and keeps his head& ears warm. Thank You so much for your design of a ball cap it does run a little big on him.

Love these shirts however the size chart listed is NOT CORRECT. For example. A medium shirt is listed at being 25. 0″ LONG and 20. 0″ WIDE. In reality the shirt is only 21. 5″ LONG and 19. 5″ wide. I have ordered several of these shirts over the past year and couldnt figure out why I had so many size complaints when people claimed to be using the size chart.

Turns out these shirts are NOT as described and you are NOT getting the measured sizes they are claiming. VERY DISAPPOINTED and hope they get this serious issue resolved quickly.

I HATE high crown / structure hats. This profile is perfect. I wear a 7 1/4 fitted. like to pull my hats low to my glasses frame. The M/L works perfect. Not too tight. not too big. and definitely not high crown.

Ordered 4 of them total after receiving the first one. Hate snapbacks and high crowns. this fit is excellent.

Great material and hat overall. More of a mid crown fit than high crown with two over/under front panels. Pretty picky about hat sizing and normally wear a 7 3/8 fitted ball caps. This one provides plenty of room with the snap back, even with a lot of hair.

I would recommend this hat. The fit is great and anyone looking for a basic Titleist hat with no logos on the side. This hat is for you. It has a moister wicking and repels well during drizzly rounds.

Colour fits the description and it fits great! Highly recommended.

A good quality hat. One that appears to be durable to last a very long time!!! I had an issue with the company about only receiving a partial order of one hat, with no notification about a split-shipment.

I received the other two two days later, so the order has been fulfilled. But as far as it goes, this was my first OpenTip order. I now feel that the company is reputable and they do offer goods at nice prices.

I will continue to check their inventory and hopefully find more great deals in the future! I feel you can buy this great hat and other products with confidence!.

I really loved the simplicity of this Burberry cap. I bought it with high hopes. Unfortunately, not only was it too small, but it was also very stiff which would not have allowed me to shape the brim to my liking.

The cap itself was also a bit higher than I prefer, which doesn’t show in the picture’s angle. I really wanted to keep it, but knew I had to return it. Too bad.

I love the look of this hat but the under rim around the fore head is super hard and leaves my forehead feeling bruised! Also the snap on back look great but u can not adjust to ur exact size. I was Between the second and the third snap, when snap was too small ones that was too big and there’s no way to choose in between.

Super cute hat but didn’t work for me.

The hat is just not good looking. It feels cheaply made, and is almost impossible to adjust. And this is for Nordstrom. If you spend that much on a hat it should come in a Burberry box, and be wrapped well.

Not thrown in a bag, and tossed in a box.

I used these hats for embroidery. They turned out great. The material is on the thinner side. There is a good size space for embroidery before you reach the eyelets. I think 2 inches by two inches looked nice but you can probably go up to about 3 inches by 3 inches or maybe a little more without hitting it.

The picture with just eeyore is on the child size cap. The other three hats are this product.

These hats are wonderful and fit everybody. The bill offers sun protection and the hat adjusts to fit around ponytails, or not, as the case may be. They fit over big hair and little heads and they look just great on everyone.

I did not plan to do anything crafty with them, but at that price, and with the huge variety of colors, I have found they make great personalized gifts with just some fabric paint and a few minutes of time.

I have bought several sets of all the colors, kept many, given many, and I am always gift ready now. For under $3. 50, including time and materials, my gifts are the best! People are so impressed and I am thrilled!👍👍👍😜😜😜😎😎😎.

I purchased these hats and tee shirts for a customer who wanted to do a fundraiser for lupus. The products were true to the description. They held up well under the heat press. They looked very good once we added the embellishments.

The other best thing about Jiffy. was I had never used them before. and I ordered 1 day and recieved the very next day, the purple hats came from a different warehouse and they came the following day!!! Now thats good business for us both !.
