20 Best Work Backpack Women’S (2022 Updated)

This is my second TUMI backpack. My first one was still functional when given up but the black color was fading after almost 10 years in the Arizona desert environment. My first backpack was a bit smaller and unable to carry much more in the way of electronics than a standard size iPad.

The Hilden Voyageur can handle my 13” MacBook Air + some other stuff with no problem. Like all the extra compartments and there is nothing on the outside that can fall out because all compartments are zipped.

Two key chains are nice to have as well. My old one did not have. The light blue leather accents make it look very attractive. I would definitely purchase TUMI products again, they are a bit pricey but worth the extra in the long run!.

Love this backpack. Wanted something not to big and not too small- this is perfect especially for women that are shorter or slender. Purchased the dark turquoise color and it looks great. It actually holds more than I thought it would.

I was able to fit change of clothes along with iPad mini, phone, keys, glasses, small wallet, hand sanitizer, small cosmetic bag, water, snacks, etc. Enough compartments that are fairly easily accessible, but not so many that you forget where you put something.

I like the water bottle compartment that is hidden. It gives the bag a more elegant professional look. This backpack has no loose straps hanging anywhere which also contributes to a more sophisticated look.

This one is a miss for me. I have the Tumi Sheryl tote in black nylon which I love. However, I travel a lot for work and I’ve been wanting a backpack style for airports. This bag is just an inch too small in just about every way.

My work-issued Surface Pro and regular iPad both fit together in the laptop sleeve so that was fine, but I would be limited on the size of any future laptop purchase if I wanted to still use this bag.

All other pockets are generally too small to be functional. I can just barely fit the bare travel essentials such as my a thin wrap scarf that I take for chilly airplanes. My iPhone 12 Max with slim case does fit in the top pocket but there is no extra space, meaning I have to use two fingers only to grab it out.

Same with the side back pocket. It’s quite small and can only fit my phone if I put it at the exact right angle going in and coming out. For security purposes I like to keep my phone and wallet in the back hidden pockets but that’s just not practical with this bag.

Others have commented on the water bottle sleeve and I agree. Too small to be functional. My bottle fits in the sleeve but I can’t get it out of the side zip so it can’t be accessed without opening the main compartment.

I was thinking about using that pocket for my wallet, but I’ve decided that there are just too many negatives and I plan to return it. The pros: the lily indigo color is gorgeous, although the gold bling is just ever so slightly too much for my taste.

The quality is top notch as expected from Tumi. The straps were comfortable for me. Improvements needed: Slightly larger. Need something between this size and the Carson. Also the Carson colors and style are a little too generic.

Bigger, more functional pockets. Would have preferred the back luggage sleeve to have a zippered bottom and magnetic-close top to use as a secure pocket when not needed for luggage. Functional water bottle sleeve.

Need a larger, elastic interior pocket for laptop charger. My Sheryl tote is also lacking this and my charger just has to be loose in the bottom of the main compartment as the other pockets are too small with tight openings.

If you are petite and/or looking for more of a daypack instead of a work travel bag, this might be a great bag for you.

My biggest issue was the fact that I had to wait a month just for it to go though processing. After that it took three days to get to my house. Once I finally got it, I was disappointed with how small it was and how loose the straps where.

Otherwise, The bag looks nice but that’s about it. It’s meant for aesthetic and maybe a computer, iPad, and one cord. Anything else would make the backpack heavy. If you want it for actual work like school or something like that, then its not worth it.

You’ll be carrying more stuff in your hands then in the bag.

I’ve only had this backpack for a week so I can’t speak to its longevity. But I’ve been able to put so much into this bag! I’ve fit my full-size laptop, a full size keyboard, 2 mouses, a binder, a spiral notebook, a legal pad of paper, multiple pens, my calculator and sticky notes! The inside of the bag is lined and padded very nicely.

And the blue/gold exterior of the bag is really classy and seems like a really great quality material. I would definitely recommend this backpack!.

I bought my bag about 4 months ago. The quality is very durable, unisex, professional and it always looks clean. The interior is a beautiful royal/dark blue with Kenneth Cole logos (very subtle) throughout the material.

Plenty of internal zipper pockets of multiple sizes. The zippers are very good quality, never snag and don’t fade considering they are gold colored. It’s very well designed and overall cannot think about anything negative about this bag.

The compartment for the laptop truly fits a large tablet or a small computer however the largest/rear zipper compartment fits my 15′ computer and cords very nicely and is never an issue. I take it EVERYWHERE and use it as my school pack while surviving my master’s program and also travel often using it as a combo purse.

I have had many compliments! I don’t believe the pictures online give this bag justice! I plan on purchasing a second bag so that I can replace it when the time comes. Plus, I think the price is fair considering how fashionable it looks and how pricey bags can get.

This is my first Tumi piece. It is the perfect size to carry on while traveling. It is sleek, smart and stylish for a woman to carry. I really like the cell phone pocket on the side, and I wish one side had a water bottle holder as well.

That would make it convenient to fill up a travel bottle once getting through gate security. On my first trip with this backpack a lady next to me spilled apple juice on it. UGH! It wiped right up and did not stain in any way.

My only complaint is that the zippers seem to get stuck, and I feel like at this price range the zippers should flow smoothly. I wish the store we bought this at had had the black quilted version! Overall, I am satisfied in this purchase.

This is a luxurious backpack with some areas for improvement. It’s not as big as I would like. After loading it with my laptop, iPad and travel pouch, I feel like I’m stuffing it in. If the inside is stuffed the outside pockets are hard to access.

I carried this I. Mexico and it was hot- the lack of breathable material in the back was noted. My back got really sweaty. The inside liner stains easily. After one use I noticed a mark in the laptop pocket, which seems weird.

The zipper work well, but occasionally the flap on the front pocket gets in the way. This is solved by rolling the flap up. I do like the bag, but for the price I wish I loved it.

Bought my bag in a store so I can see before buying. I’m using my backpack as a diaper bag for daily use and I already love it. The adjustable straps have the ends folded in, which I love so no dangling things! The bag is super light weight, but no support or padding.

I didn’t mind at all. I love the pouch it fits in. I use it for my personal stuff when using the backpack as a diaper bag. The front pocket is huge! Perfect for my small wallet and iphone plus. The only thing I wish was that the straps were a little thicker.

I pack lightly so it doesn’t dig in my shoulders. But if I was to add a full water bottle, I’m sure it would get uncomfortable.

I got this in the mail today and I am excited to use it for work. My work laptop is 14 inches long and fits perfectly in the laptop compartment. The bag itself seems very sturdy and the green is a great color.

There are pockets and plenty of room in the main compartment so I can fit a water bottle, headphones, my mouse, and wireless keyboard with room left to spare. This is the perfect backpack for work as it looks more professional than a school backpack.

I am so impressed with this leather backpack. It is light weight. It has so many pockets and are large enough to put cell phones, etc in them. It is soft leather, bendable and durable. I have purchased many back packs before from other merchants and they were way too heavy for my shoulders and back, but not this one.

It is worth every penny, although I do wish that it cost a little less.

I jump back and forth from home, office and different work sites so I have been looking for a sleek “professional” looking back pack with compartments that doesn’t make me look like I am going to school.

I decided to invest in this bag for those reasons. Not only does the leather look great, it will last much longer. For those who are considering buying this bag but are hesitant I do have some honest feedback.

The hardware is gold. I bought the bag in black so maybe the contrast brightens it up but I was hoping for a more toned down brass. The zippers are also pretty stiff but maybe over time they’ll be worked in.

The compartments are there but there’s not much you could fit in any of them. I was hoping to organize my charger, mouse and other cords in them but once my 15″ laptop is in, its pretty tight. And finally, the straps at its tightest fit are still pretty loose.

I like to have my bag snug to my back but right now its just loosely hanging off. They are also very thin. I am still happy with my purchase. It does what it needs to do and looks good at the same time.

I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend simply because as an investment piece and the straps just aren’t adjustable enough to be comfortable to wear for a long period of time.

I bought this pack for traveling with a family. I have large and small hiking packs and a couple of small daypacks but I wanted something in between. This fit the bill. It obviously is not meant for hiking so I would not consider it if that’s what you need.

But it is easy to adjust for comfort, has enough structure to stand itself up, the back is well padded and ventilated and the straps are wide so it won’t cut into your shoulders when it is loaded with weight.

That is an issue with some other daypacks. The front pocket is a decent size but there is no small 3rd stash pocket which would be one of my only complaints. The other thing to know is that the zippers are very fast and smooth.

Which is usually a good thing except they can open a lot further than intended. The fabric seems durable and kept the interior dry in light but steady rain. It does have an integrated laptop / tablet pocket and for students this could probably last your entire college career.

Overall a very good pack for the price.

I bought this online without seeing it in person. I ordered the blue and received a dusty rose colour (which isn’t even listed as an option?). I actually like the dusty rose colour so didn’t contact MEC for a return or anything.

but it’s not what I ordered. It also doesn’t have a ton of pockets, which you can sort of tell from online, but in person you realize how limited it is. It has “space” though, so I’ll just purchase some separate pouches for items to keep them separated.

It does feel really well made and fits everything I need in it, which I wasn’t sure of when I pulled it out of the bag. I also like that it stands up (sort of) on its own. If you have a ton of thick books I’m not sure it’d fit everything you need, but it fits a normal sized binder, my large sized Happy Planner, and my iPad with some extra space (I could probably fit two more normal sized binders if I tried).

I’ve now taken this backpack on two trips, and really love it! The padded, cellular back and shoulder straps are really comfortable even when the pack is loaded. The front pocket only goes halfway down the bag, which took some getting used to.

You can’t put too much weight in it or the bag is very top-heavy. But I just made sure I put only light items in there and everything else in the main compartment. The side pockets are really useful for holding a water bottle and sunglasses case!.

I purchased this backpack to use as my work bag for school. It has two spacious sections, one holds my laptop. There is also a smaller pocket that can hold pens, cell phone and other small items. There are 2 side pockets that can hold a water bottle, keys etc.

There are adjustable straps to get the best fit. I would recommend this bag.

I love love love this bag. I commute to work on the train, so a backpack is much easier than a shoulder bag. I really wanted a professional looking backpack and considered Tumi for bit, but this is a great, less expensive alternative.

I don’t feel I’ve sacrificed anything with this reasonably priced option. The size is great, very spacious without seeming oversized. Also, I love how light the bag is, even with my thinkpad laptop. Another review had problems with the zippers, but I haven’t had any issues.

This is a great backpack. Perfect size for airport traveling and for women who get loaded down with the normal size backpacks. I also like all the pockets. Would recommend.

The metallics are my favorites. I have 15-20 metallic kipling handbags. Some more than 10 years old. They look like new. They don’t get dirty or ripped or worn. I started using them because they are lightweight.

Now, this backpack will help me carry more for a trip or to evacuate because of a hurricane. The color is beautiful and the inside compartments are perfectp.

I love my new backpack. It’s got lots of pockets and so light to carry. I had a previous model for many, many years and needed a new one. I like the improvements of a water bottle holder. And the elimination of the Velcro/strap for the laptop inside.

This backpack is very well made and feels like it will last a very long time. The straps are comfortable and the zipper opens and closes smoothly. I will say that the front pocket is smaller than expected, it is only half as deep as the larger back pocket.

However, the front pocket does have smaller compartments that allow for organization of small items (e. g. pens, airpods, etc). I am also a bit disappointed in how small the side pockets are. My 21 oz hydroflask water bottle barely squeezes in the pocket, although the pocket has stretched a tiny bit since I’ve had it.

Overall, this backpack works well for me since I mainly use it to transport my laptop and tablet with a few miscellaneous items. It is cute and high quality. However, if you are looking for something with a lot of storage space, you may want a larger bag.

I got this backpack for college and it’s been great! The lightweight and solid back are good for walking around campus. It holds its shape well so that it doesn’t sag down when full. That was the problem with my last backpack, which was causing a lot of back pain.

For this one, it did take a few days to get used to the stiff back and extra padding, but I haven’t had any pain since I started using it. 🙂 I’d say it’s the most comfortable backpack I’ve owned. The storage capacity is a little on the small side, so if you carry a light load like I do this will be perfect.

Otherwise, you may want to consider a larger backpack. (Usually, I have my laptop, tablet, water bottle, lunchbox, a jacket, and a few small things in the front pocket). Overall it’s an excellent product and well-made.

I bought this backpack one year ago. It was literally used year round as my granddaughters school only closed for for one month for covid and then she used it for summer day camp. It’s as strong as my LL Bean one but cuter( unicorns for our now 6 year old) and has way more features and pockets.

I like the little pockets for extra masks, sunscreen, lip cream etc. Now school has started again (1st grade) and she is using it for a second year. It washed up perfectly in the machine in cold water.

Possibly not recommended but I wash a lot of things successfully. Lol. i bought her a lot of nice clothes and could not see wasting $ on a new backpack when this still looks new and is so sturdy.

I use this backpack for school and occasional travel. So far it has held up really well. I’ve used it for 2 years now. The top small pockets are perfect for storing my pencils and erasers sine I can easily access them.

It also hold my water bottle great. My bottle’s never fallen out of the side pockets. I do however have to use the side straps for that. My water bottle is a tiny bit less than 12 inches tall. The topmost small pocket measures 7 inches, while the lower small pocket measures 6 inches.

The lower one can fit a pencil just fine. On the bottom of the backpack there’s also straps that you can use to carry a rolled up blanket.

This is a very lightweight but very strong bag that has pokets for everything imaginable. I found pokets that would serve for pens and penils, notebooks, audio equipment, lines, and earphones of various sizes.

There were also spaces large enough to acomodate a laptop, books, and even a hange of clothing if you want to use it as an overnight bag. It has room for a thermos or water bottle on the outside, and room to attach a rolled up (tightly) sleeping bag, so if you want to take it on a scouting weekend, it would also work for that.

I am a 70 year old woman and am omfortable with its simple aqua and white coloring, but it would also be OK with kids and college students. I can’t imagine anyone who would NOT like its variety of compartments and size.

It is not too big, nor is it too small. The exterior offers clips and straps to help add other things, or to help juggle the weight of the load. It’s a 10 out of 10 in quality and usefulness.

Bought this for as a day backpack for my hiking weekends- the mesh side pockets looked perfect and it is water- repellent, plus it has padded back. Looked really good, however there are not many pockets and the front one is just on the top half of the rucksack bizarrely, so as soon as you put your mobile and wallet, it falls over, unless there is a permanent laptop in it to balance it.

Self-standing it is not, it is worse than my old rucksack, which had a full-front pocket at least. It looks like it is made for students solely- I am frankly quite appalled how badly designed it, and for a single purpose.

Will keep it as have used it and glad I do not need to use it more often.

This is a nicely made backpack but the straps look a bit cheap considering it was more expensive than many of the other options. I put on another buckle (from my old backpack) to stop the ends of the strap trailing.

The straps are thinner than on my old pack however the zips look high quality with the Eastpak logo on them. I love the simple classic styling of this backpack. It is quite practical having a separate place for a laptop and a structured external front pocket.

It also has a small mesh pocket inside the main compartment for your wallet etc.

Perfect backpack of excellent quality, trendy for at least a decade if not more, it is among the most requested backpacks by young people. It offers the right space for books, notebooks and laptop that takes advantage of the practical dedicated compartment.

So I read through the reviews and I noticed there’s some hate for this bag. “It’s smaller than I expected,” or “I thought it would be a full size backpack,” and “The straps are too complicated. ” First off- the dimensions are right there in the product description.

It’s clearly not marketed as a full size backpack. The straps being “too complicated”? What? It isn’t complicated- like at all. The straps move fluidly and adapt quickly. My favorite ways to wear the backpack so far are exactly that- as a backpack, and as a cross body bag.

I do enjoy being able to quickly use it as a shoulder bag too- this bag is just super adaptable and the perfect size for my everyday use. It’s super sturdy and feels perfectly solid. I love, love, love this bag.

Let me start by saying I love carharrtt, beanies, hoodies, tee’s, pants and jackets/coats. This bag however is a big disappointment. Two huge design flaws, first the straps are a mess and annoying. However the biggest flaw is the two side pockets, if you put anything in them then you can not put much in the bag itself.

I get the bag is made of their tough cavas but if you’re going to have side pockets for drinks or anything for that matter those pockets should not be made with the same stiff canvas, they need to be made with stretchy material.

Total waste of my money, wish I could return it but sadly I can’t. I also with I could give it negative stars.

I wanted to love this bag but I agree with others about the design flaws. My gripe is with the straps. As a backpack, I need to hold both straps and then put it on. Since the strap has different uses/ functions, this can be awkward.

The straps will shift the backpack. As awkward as it is, I think this is probably the most comfortable and successful way to use this bag. As a crossbody, it’s not good. Where the top of the straps end up, it ends up tilting away from your body.

Also because it is attached to the bottom of the bag, it puts pressure on it and results in the bag wanting to fold in half. For the top straps to be the same length, there’s extra straps. It’s just weird.

It’s a convertible bag but the straps are not successful in the 3 ways it can be worn. Otherwise I love this bag. I love the outside pockets. I can fit a 24 oz water bottle in the side pocket. The inside is roomy but not huge or too small.

The material feels durable. The straps just need something.

This product is a burgundy and brown color mixed together. The backpack has about 4 pocket holes, one for folders, one for your regular books, one for pencils and pens, and the last one is for small things like money or chapstick.

The backpack also has two water bottle pockets, it has adjustable straps for both your chest and the strings on your shoulders. The backpack has a lot of space in it, especially the book pocket, you can fit a lot of books in there.

This product has been the best for me. Usually, for school, I have to carry about two big books for two of my classes, and I also have to carry a really big computer case with the computer in my backpack, and somehow everything fits perfectly.

I also travel a lot and take a lot of my personal belongings with me like makeup bags and purses, also my computers and all of my chargers, and when I travel during school I also have to take my books and computer with me.

The reason why I purchased the product is because I saw how much space it was and how organized the front pockets were for small things. One of the best things that worked for me with this product is how it has a lot of space, and how organized is it it stretches a lot when putting things in it, I like how comfortable the shoulders straps have a lot of cotton in it, which makes it more comfortable to carry all the heavy things in the backpack.

The backpack also has a clip that brings the shoulder straps together for a more comfortable and secure use. There are two things that I really didn’t like about the product. One was the last pocket, the one by the shoulder straps.

The only reason why I didn’t like it’s because the pocket is very tight. You’re only able to put folders in there if you try to put something else in it, it’s going to be too tight. The other thing that I really dislike about the product is that one of the water bottle holders has a whole on it, it’s like an adjustable hole but things that are not a water bottle always slips out and sometimes even the water bottle slips out and I don’t like it, it’s not safe.

This product was 100% worth all the money, it has very pretty colors available overall. I’ve had no problems with the product. I would recommend it if you’re a college student or just a person that travels a lot and needs to put a lot in your bag if you buy this everything will fit perfectly and be organized.

I want to buy the product again but in a different color. It’s comfortable and adjustable and it’s not that big and it has a lot of comfort on your back and shoulders. I would 100% recommend you buy it and you won’t regret it.

I have been using this for university for three years now. It still looks as brand new as it did the first day I got it, and that’s saying something coming from me, who pretty much always ends up breaking or staining everything I own.

I’m honestly not very gentle with it, and it has faced many spills and torrential downpours, but genuinely still looks like new. The design is VERY cute and stylish, while still being simple enough so you don’t get tired of it.

There are plenty of pockets to aid in organization, which is really helpful! It is also very comfortable! My shoulders don’t hurt even after long days of commuting and walking with this backpack. My only complaint is that it is not as roomy as one might think.

I think I’ve seen much cheaper backpacks with much more roominess and space. When you look in this backpack, the space you see is pretty much the space you get. This backpack only really allows for vertical stacking of flat objects.

For school, I can easily fit my laptop in its case, a laptop charger, a notebook or two, a novel, a planner, my phone, school supplies, and sometimes my lunchbox (but that needs to be *shoved* in lol).

So, it definitely serves its purpose for school or work if you don’t need to carry too much around beyond the basics. However, I’ve tried to use this backpack for camping trips and it really did not go well.

It was a struggle shoving everything I needed into the backpack for even just a few days, and once it was packed, it was difficult to navigate through everything to find what I needed. So, overall, it is a very beautiful, durable, backpack that I really love and am so happy I bought.

However, it is not super spacious and not ideal for traveling or anything beyond the basic daily necessities.

I’m normally reluctant to purchase expensive backpacks, but I decided I’d trust in North Face and I’d purchase something that hopefully lasts. This bag, without a second’s doubt, has become the worst bag I have ever purchased.

I will begin by saying I liked the design, I’m a taller guy and the vertically longer design is better for my back. The style and color are nice as well. Immediately I realized the bag is not structured to hold anything but air.

If the zippers are not completely closed, they will fall down and everything will spill out. The front pocket, while seemingly larger, cannot have much added to it because the front pocket falls inward and the zippers fail.

Multiple times now, I have had the front pocket simply unzip by itself and everything (my pens and other smaller items) come spilling out unexpectedly. Also, no matter if this bag is empty or completely full, it will not stay up straight.

I try to set it down and it will just fall forward. No matter if I give it this extreme incline against the wall, it will magically rock itself forward and fall over no matter what.

I Really Love This Backpack Somehow When You Put It On Your Back No Matter If It Is Full Or Empty It Feels Balanced. no Pulling On Your Shoulders Which Is Great With My Shoulder Injury. What I Really Love Is How Comfortably I Can Carry All My Books And Papers.

This is just about the most pack one can comfortably handle without getting load lifters above your shoulders with a rigid frame. For everything from a challenging half-day to 36-48 hours out this pack is perfect.

Works decently well for airline travel too as a carry-on. The absolute miracle here though is that the pack is so light for its size, comfortable, airy, and compresses so well that I want to use it for most of my regular day hiking as well.

Compressed, with a low weight, it feels nimble and body-hugging like the best daypacks for the sake of weighing just a couple ounces more than minimalist packs that you will never notice on such a comfortable suspension.

And you get great features (big usable belt pockets foremost) and a level of durability that you’re unlikely to find on a smaller capacity daypack. The only time I don’t want to pick it up is when I feel like I’d look silly wearing a large-ish, hip-belted pack on a highly trafficked local trail, or I’m really only going to be out long enough to need liter or two of water and a jacket.

Although really, in a muted color and compressed, this pack can look as sleek as many. Having used much lighter packs that were always a compromise in some way, and heavier, more luxurious models that were never worth the extra weight, I’m a little mad at myself that I didn’t give this pack a try earlier in my “career”.

My only gripes are that as much as I appreciate having a brain instead of zippers or a roll-top, it is permanently attached on the shoulder strap side, and can look a little disheveled when the pack is compressed.

(You can loop bungee the pole holders together to meet in the middle and hold it down for a tidier look. ) It’d be great to be able to fit a foam sleeping pad beneath a floating brain for overnights instead of being limited to just smaller items like jackets.

I’ve been a big fan of Osprey packs since the beginning, owning 7 different ones over the years. With this model, the size is just what I was looking for, and I appreciated the adjustable torso length.

I can’t understand why they designed a ‘fast and light’ style pack like this with placement of the side water bottle pockets which makes them impossible to reach while hiking. They could have added a side entrance to those pockets, as they do on the Aether and Atmos models.

The tiny, weird pocket on the shoulder strap also seems pretty useless, and a waste of valuable space that could have been used for a larger, stretch pocket which could actually hold a smartphone or GPS.

The hip belt pockets were decent in size, but also placed strangely far back on the belt, and extending the hip belt padding another inch or so forward would have been more comfortable as well. I unfortunately got the black model, which is entirely black, including all belts and buckles, making them impossible to see or find in dim light.

Making them a contrasting lighter color would make sense. I would also liked to have seen the top lid be both ‘floating’ and removable, rather than sewn on.

I’ve used this for two semesters of post-grad now, in all weather conditions. The drink pockets suck, but I’ve gotten around that by using bottles that have carrying handles, so that I can strap them in.

The laptop pouch performs well and protects my laptop. I have to carry a lot of stuff, including many books and lunch, and this is where it kind of falls even more. There’s a pouch on the top portion of the big pocket, so if you put anything in that (pens, etc) is cuts into the only space where you would be carrying books, lunch, notebooks.

I feel like that’s a big design flaw. Additionally, I have had two classes that use those stupid loose leaf books that you have to put in your own binder – this pack is filled very quickly by a binder and doesn’t want to hold much else after that.

It’s like a tiny bit narrow. It seems like too much space was given for the laptop area that should have been devoted to the book/larger area. Moving to the smallest outside zip area, which does only have one zipper as others have mentioned, it doesn’t really fill OUT but instead fills IN so if you put things in the bottom of it, it will push into the book area.

It looks really big but just doesn’t pack very well for my needs. It is comfortable on my shoulders and has the expected quality of osprey, it just kinda falls in how it packs.

I like this backpack. I was looking for something low-profile for work. I essentially wanted a good laptop sleeve and space for a jacket, but not much more. For those criteria, this pack is great. Some of the interior pockets are meh–one doesn’t close so it kinda hangs open and my stuff falls out of it, which kinda bugs me.

I like the glasses/phone mini pocket, it’s lined with a soft material which is nice. The bottom part of the diagonal. thing? I thought was more of just a design element, but it’s a meshish stuff-it pocket.

I never use it, because if it was any more stretched out than it already is, it’d look floppy and dumb. My BIGGEST beef with this backpack, however, is that the water bottle pocket is BARELY TOO SMALL FOR A NALGENE.

Haha I know for most folks this probably doesn’t matter, but I was so sad when I realized that! So close to loving this pack, but I’ll probably stick to Osprey next time.

Horrible backback!!! The weight distribution is terrible. The laptop slot that rests on your back when you have it on, is wayy too long and stiff. I understand it is meant to protect electronics but it’s just awkward.

It’s a women’s bag, so why does the back panel need to hit my butt and go all the way up to the back of my neck?! It DOES NOT STAND UP even if you have heavy books in it. Meaning the bottom is too narrow, it is roomy in the middle but then the bottom tapers to nothing.

Normally there would be more of a “rectangular bottom”. So when you throw stuff into it, it sits in the middle and nothing slides down because it it too tight. What backpack in the history of backpacks falls face down on whatever nasty floors and surfaces you set it down on.

Think of school, work, and commuting with your back pack, there are no hooks to hang it up, so you set it down. Well I’m here to tell you it WILL BE FACE DOWN AND DIRTY. Zippers don’t zip and unzip easily, straps are too stiff and make it hard to get out of your vehicle when you are grabbing your bag to go to class.

Filled the top inside pocket with some stuff, and it blocks you from getting stuff past it to the main compartment. I mean everything is so flawed design wise. Love North Face clothing and jackets, but I won’t be buying another back pack from them!!! ZERO STARS.

The storage compacity is actually perfect in my opinion. 17 liters is just enough for my computer, hoodie, jacket, accessories and any essentials. What I dont like is the outside mesh pocket, it’s flimsy, loose and should have some zipper or whatnot on the top.

The shoulder straps are also way to thin and stiff and makes it somewhat uncomfortable to wear, especially for a long period of time as Im out and about for many hours a day. I haven’t tried the old model but it actually looks a little smarter compartment wise than this new model.

That being said, I love the look of it, I love the storage capacity, the organization is smart enough, although could have been even better. It’s a really good bag but not the best.

Let me start by saying the last North Face backpack we got is still in great shape and we got it during a gift exchange over 14 years ago!! Both my husband and son used it for everything from camping to shooting practice (filled with heavy bullets).

There isn’t a tear or scratch on it and it’s been stuffed full many times. With that being said, my son was starting his first year of college this year and having used the same backpack his entire high school career, it was time past time for a new one.

As our other TNF backpack had lasted so long, this was an easy choice, even though we normally wouldn’t spend this amount on a backpack. We bought the black patch one and I will say, it’s the cutest backpack I’ve ever seen.

I purchased it at the end of November, gave it to him for Christmas (he loves it), and as he didn’t start in-person classes until around February, he saved it until then to use. When he finally did use it, it was only for a couple spiral notebooks, writing utensils, maybe a few protein bars and possibly a textbook (although I’m not sure if he even had one at the time).

Anyhow, it was nothing too heavy. After using it for about 3 weeks, the seam on the inside top of the main flap began to seperate. It’s nothing that is noticable from the outside, but it’s definitely something that will get worse, quickly.

Even though he only used it for a few weeks, we are outside of the return window. So now, my options are to just ignore it and use the backpack until it’s completely falling apart (which wont be too long considering where the issue is), or spend around $20 to mail it in for (possible) warranty work.

If it was a year from now, I wouldn’t be too upset about it, but after three weeks of mild use?? There’s just no excuse for that. It’s such a shame, I’m left feeling as though TNF just isn’t the same quality it used to be.

I wanted a more sleek backpack to force me not to lug too much back and forth to the office and the black Women’s Everyday Leather Backpack does the trick. It is elegant and not fussy. There is enough room for my MacBook, an 8×10 notebook, all my cords/cables, keys, lip balm, a sweater, etc.

, with room to spare. I like the sling in the bottom of the laptop compartment to protect my computer. I love the pass through on the back so I can easily attach it to my roller bag (every backpack should have this!).

I appreciate that the middle section zipper is big enough to allow the opening to open wide so it is easy to slip items in and out. The key clip has a long ribbon so I never need to actually detach my keys to open my door! Ways it could be improved include feet on the bottom so it doesn’t show wear/wear out quickly, better clasps on the shoulder straps because one side keeps slipping, and a sturdier top handle.

The top handle feels a like it may not hold well and it is how I hang the pack on the back of bathroom doors, etc. because I refuse to put a bag on the bathroom floor! Overall, I’m really pleased with my purchase.

Cute design, good size for work. Not big but I can put in everyday essentials in, plus my 13-in laptop. The only down side is the color. I ordered cognac because I own a laptop tote from Samsonite that is cognac and I love that color.

However this one came in darker than my tote and the texture was different. I went back to the website, enlarged the image and saw details. The picture does match the product. Should have been more careful, but I decide to keep it.

I researched backpack purchases attempting to find one that was serviceable, a good quality and not so overwhelmingly large or heavy that it wouldn’t lay properly on my frame but I needed it to carry a lot.

The outer material on this bag is a beautiful pebbled leather. While it holds a lot of my things ( 3 zippered compartments) it’s not bundle some. I love that I’m able to comfortably slip the back flap over my extended handle on my luggage if I choose not to carry while pulling my luggage.

In addition it blends well with any color purse you wish to carry. Thank you Samsonite for such a great product.
