20 Best Workbenches For Garage (2022 Updated)

I was very surprized at how sturdy and well designed this little table is. Sometimes I need something for support of tools or construction materials, but don’t like the hassle or large size of saw horses.

It was on sale, so not too much lost if I didn’t like it. Boy was I surprized. It sets up easily, is a perfect height for working, so nice that it folds up for storage, and super stable and sturdy. My fiance and I both have older homes we’re always working on.

I would have no concerns using it as an extra kitchen helper to hold a couple of heavy casseroles if needed for a gathering even as long as I protect it from heat because it’s so stable. I can’t even make it wobble! You could easily add a protective padding on the top and cover it with a sheet, and it would make a great grilling table helper too.

It will be great for potting plants or any sort of construction helper. We could take it camping or for picnics. I see so many uses for this! It does come with the product id’d clearly on the box if you plan a surprize shipment, but I highly recommend this table.

It locks in place to the base also. My first one was a gift, but I was so impressed, I came back and ordered another for myself even after sale price was gone. I’ve been looking for something like this for years but had not found anything impressive until now.

This is great! I wouldn’t hesitate to sit an open gallon of paint on it! The top is plastic, but surprisingly thick and sturdy. I’m not concerned at all that it will warp, crack, or give away –but i wouldn’t leave it outdoors in sun for days.

I plan to use it sheet rocking soon. I’ve not seen these in my local Lowes or H. Depot. Thanks for offering this Worx and Q! Love, love, love it!.

This is a great little work table if you can get it on sale. Most things are over priced now days. Anyways, I bought 4 of these during the Veterans Day Sale for a very large frame I was building. I own the Pegasus and Ketter tables, but these were so nice and light to carry and support 300 lbs.

They don’t have the lower shelf or clamps, but I rarely use those anyways. They do have a couple of indents to place your screws or small parts. If they ever go below $50 again, I’m buying more! Whoever invented this was genius!!!.

Over the years I’ve accumulate 6 Sidekick Portable Work Tables when they have been on sale on your web site. I’ve use individual tables with covers when entertaining or all 6 connected together for my crafting projects.

The light weight of each table means that I can setup the tables when and where I want them on a moment’s notice. I living in a townhouse, floor space is a premium and at 65 yeas of age it really extends my independence in my home.

I don’t have to worry about heavy furniture, clutter, screws, hand tools, or any other items needed to assemble other tables on the market.

This cart surprised me, expected it to be pretty flimsy, not much above junk but good enough for my purposes. Normally I buy the best tools I can find but this cart was only intended for occasional use so I bought this inexpensive one.

Turns out this cart is great, quite sturdy, plenty strong enough for big projects like lifted Jeeps, engine repairs, oil changes, etc and all sorts of other projects including my competition rifle and shotgun gunsmithing and reloading.

Had to spend an little time to get it level, added some shim washers under the castors but it is now level in both directions and rolls quite easily. Definitely recommended, would not spend more on any of the many more expensive copies of this little gem.

By the way, it arrived fast, 2 days ahead of schedule and in perfect condition, nothing bent or missing. UPDATE:Had this cart for a couple of weeks now and I love it even more. It is rare but this cart is one of the very few things I have purchased in the past 10 years that was not a disappointment but rather exceeded my expectations.

I would definitely pay triple for this cart after using it and making one upgrade. The casters that come on the cart are ok but I decided to use the cart in my reloading room which is carpeted. The stock caster wheels are a little too thin for thick carpet and sink into the carpet making it a little hard to push so I bought a set of wider casters with 3″ wheels and now the cart can easily be pushed with one hand even when loaded with tools.

Even the drawer of this cart is great, opens and closes easily and solidly. No downsides, it is amazing.

Super easy assembly, just read instructions before you start to avoid surprises. I wasn’t paying attention and assembled the legs facing the wrong way, which placed the holes for the brace in the front instead of the rear.

Once locked in place, it’s next to impossible to remove the legs without causing damage. Luckily, the front and rear of the tabletop are virtually identical. This workbench is very strong, and can be adjusted to varying levels to fit the task.

I’m very impressed by this table and am glad I made this purchase. The table was shipped home and was very well packaged for its long journey on ground transportation. The instructions were easy to read and set up took less than an hour.

This is a STURDY table. It has a beautiful, heavy wooden top and strong supporting legs. 5/5 great purchase, hope to add another table to my workspace in the future.

Very impressed with the quality of this workbench, and it just happens to match the Seville Classics workbench I’ve had for several years. Assembly instructions are clear with no language translation problems.

Perhaps most impressive was the packaging. Think of Apple packaging, except for a 79-pound object. Everything arrived scratch free and identified. Assembly was a no brainer.

I must admit I was a bit nervous buying this thru the website, but good news it is perfect for the garage tool room. Pros: 1. Sturdy – weighs over 115 pounds, once put together, it is solid. 2. Ease to put together – at first seeing over 100 screws, I was a bit nervous, but the modular design made the assembly easy.

They have stickers on the parts pointing to top, front, bottom, etc. It is fool proof for assembly. 3. Light is very bright and focused Cons: 1. Nothing against the product or Sams, but Fedex delivered it to the wrong house, heck wrong house on wrong street with wrong number, but fortunately I have great neighbors.

2. A bit heavy if you are by yourself, but again it is sturdy I definitely recommend, pros outweigh cons and gives you the perfect workbench for your garage or home hobby space.

This is my second Seville UltraHD workbench. My first one is grey and I have been using in my garage for about five years. My recent purchase is graphite workbench which I replaced a wooden work/hobby bench in a bedroom that I use for hobbies.

The price for this workbench from SAMMS is cheaper than just the table without the shelf, pegboard, and light from other sites. The workbench comes in enough packing to prevent damage. The instructions are clear and I assemble this with my wife in about an hour and a half to two hours.

Once assembly this is a sturdy bench and the legs adjust for leveling. The USB ports on the power strip come in handy by charge my phone and smart watch. I also have my Dremel tool plugged to have it at the ready.

The draws are easy to assemble just make sure you extend the rails all the way out before screwing on the drawer. The draw comes with two dividers which organizes my tools by type such as cutters, sanding sticks, and blocks.

I like the direct light over my work area. I have attached a small clip on fan on one side of the shelf where I can get get a little air moving on me working in my garage. I am completely satisfied and highly recommend Seville Classics UltraHD Lighted Workbench.

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised of the quality fit and finish of this workbench. The wood top alone must weigh 60-70 lbs. Finished beautifully, great installation instructions. Sturdy, high quality and looks like it cost much more.

Installation was perfect. Everything aligned as it should and every piece was labeled even noting installation direction (front, back, etc. ). Allow yourself a good half day to unpack, assemble and clean-up.

I assembled it myself and only needed help putting the drawer on its tracks. A few minor bends in the bottom back panel from shipping but was able to straighten out to the point of being not noticeable.

Highly recommended!!!.

I own two of the “Keter Folding Table Tool Stand Workbench with 2 Clamps” and just gave my son-in-law one for Christmas. It’s one of the most useful tools I own. It’s incredibly portable, surprisingly stable, and has more utility than a helper.

I use it as an impromptu work surface, desk, tool stand, material holder, and so much more. I tend to work alone and it’s like having a great partner who doesn’t talk, eat lunch, does exactly what you need and never gets tired.

I use a pair for larger projects. I get a kick out of the origami like way they fold and unfold. The included bar clamps are a great asset and especially, how they integrate with the work surface interface and store in their own out of the way compartments.

They have held up very well despite years of hard use. I would buy again in a heartbeat if mine are ever stolen, as that’s the only way they will getaway.

Great design that folds away flat when not in use, easy to carry and store. Workpiece clamping options maybe not quite as flexible as a traditional workmate but this unit does provide a good solid bench.

It would appear there are 2 types available (I think identified by different colour detail). The one Toolstation sell can take up to a 450kg load where as a competitors could only handle 180kg. Very pleased with the discount that was available through Toolstations eBay store at time of purchase.

I bought this to replace an old Stanley folding work table Ive had for twenty years. This one is heavy duty with metal legs and a center support on the work surface. This thing will take some weight and is very stable.

Sets up easy, breaks down easy and carries easy with the built in carry handle. The included clamps store in the lower table area and attach to the work bench easily and are easy to operate, I havent used them yet with any actual work, so I cant say how theyll hold up.

This is a nice portable work table. Use it as a work surface or a tool stand, its rugged enough.

Really nice bench and extremely easy to put together. I had bought the workbench with the peg board and work light and thought it would be a great addition to have. It worked out perfectly with both being the same height.

The additional work space is great and like the lighted workbench you can add a vice to the table with no issue. Because only 3 side are joined at the bottom you either have room for you feet or as in my case room for storage.

The only thing with this bench and the lighted bench is that the wood can get scratched very easily, however, I did find workbench matts on Uline that work perfectly. Overall I would give this an enthusiastically “Highly Recommend”.

My wife got tired of me using the top of the food freezer for a work bench and offered to buy me a real workbench for my birthday. After looking at a number of options on-line I decided upon this workbench.

It’s very sturdy and should not have a problem with anything you throw at it. It is well finished. I have it in my basement but it would not be out of place in an office setting. At 35 inches tall it’s a perfect height to work at while standing.

It would be too tall for seated work but I don’t plan on being seated. The size was perfect (4′ wide, 2′ deep) as I have limited space. It was easy to assemble. It’s an excellent value.

One little part under the solid worktable top was defective. I contacted Seville & they said they would send a new solid wood table top. They did not send the right part & then said they wanted to have me repair it or change it to a lag screw.

I already contacted Sam’s Club for a refund and have sent the product back to Sam’s Club. Customer Service has been awful these past few days. Just hope you don’t get a defective one if you do order one of these.

Maybe they’ll do better customer service after they see this, if they see it. Sam’s Customer Service was not very good the past few days either. They did not handle things properly yet but I’m hoping they will take care of things correctly soon.

I don’t have a photo that can be downloaded from my computer but if Sam’s Club will allow me to write more again later I’ll try to add the photo of the misaligned section on the tabletop when I use my cell phone.

If Sam’s does not post this or allow for added photos there’s nothing I can do about that.

We bought 2 of these Seville Classics UltraHD Rolling Workbench’s from Sam’s Club. The are well worth the money. We purchase them for the Tiles with Style showroom and homestead, here in TN. We have a small commercial kitchen where we process all of our foods for the year.

These cabinets work perfect with any stainless steel decor. It was a flawless assembly process. They boxed the parts in order of the assembly, which made it super easy. It does take about 5-6 hours to assemble one cabinet, and you WILL need a second person to handle the top, and to flip over the cabinet, to screw on the wheels, and turn it over again.

The castors are heavy duty; about 2″ wide. They roll easily from one location to the other. They are in our living area that is connected to the kitchen, so we can easily roll one over into the kitchen for an extra work surface and easy tool access.

The cabinets come with pre-cut shelf foam liner. Just slip them in place, and voila; you’re ready to fill them up. We are very pleased and will probably order some other Seville Classic products. I would recommend purchasing them from a local store and not having them shipped.

The boxes take 2 people to lift and they could get damaged along the way if shipped to your house.

This purchase makes the 6th piece I bought from Seville. Their instructions are standardized and very straight forward for all of their products, so when you buy different sized cabinets from them you are already familiar with how they assemble.

They mark every piece with arrows to help with proper alignment ( front/back/left/right), mark every bag with numbers for the nuts, and even include the screwdriver. I now have 4 HD ultra cabinets, this workbench and a little table cabinet.

AS you build it, you can see the clever engineering that adds strength as you go. Fit and finish was perfect. Boxing was perfect. The delivery guy was literally dragging it up to my house over the concrete and no damage inside.

I’ve never had such a good experience with build it yourself furniture than this company. I’d give it 6 stars if i could.

Our FP toploader was only partially emptying and after several attempts at putting a load through, would not empty at all. We bucketed the water out of the bowl then tilted the machine back against the wall and removed the pump just to check there was nothing stuck in it.

It all seemed fine. (be careful you will get wet!) Then we tried another load, it didn’t empty. We also checked that things were clean up top by removing the bowl. Lots of dirt but no socks or blockages.

So we ordered the pump and after we installed it have had no problems. Everything works just fine. Water empties out every time. We also got a lint filter, almost as the same price as the pump! But a lot less junk is going through the pump now.

Dell Latitude rugged tablet kickstand is exactly what I needed. It has a lot of friction so you can put it in any position and it will hold the tablet up.

Later models use a more energy efficient model running on 100v while this type runs on 230v. Because of the frequent load and fuses used with this electric circuit, these pumps tend to be the first thing to go on these washers.

After having waited for a year for this to become available again, I finally ordered it and got it really quick. It’s still available today but the price seems to have gone up somewhat (+120$ or so) The table is sturdy and the tabletop is very nicely done.

My recommendation would be that before you attempt to assemble, read all the instructions thoroughly and make sure that you know what you will do for the optional steps (The bottom brace can be assembled one of two ways and you have a choice of wheels or feet).

Some steps are not immediately clear as to why they are done a certain way but when you put it together, you get it. So when they say “finger tighten only”, they really mean that. When the time came to put the centre brace, I had done more than a finger tightening job and I had to loosen it up to get it in place.

My bad. My only complaint is that one of the legs was hard to put in place and one of the screws had fallen off and I couldn’t align the leg correctly; I had to go back a few steps but that’s probably more my error than anything else so I can’t fault anyone else for it.

The other problem I have was with the delivery and I totally understand that Home Depot does not do delivery themselves but I was disappointed how their carrier of choice did it. They left it by the side of my house, no doorbell ring or anything and with the wrong side up, in the rain.

Home Depot should maybe ask their delivery contractor to make sure that instructions on the box as to what side is up should be followed. Again, that’s not really Home Depot’s fault but they pick the carrier and if no one tells them, they’ll never know.

In the end, everything was ok and no damage came of it. Once the table is assembled, it’s very nice and the mechanism to change the height works very well. At first, I thought it was hard but then, I thought about it and it makes sense as you don’t want the table’s height to change while you are working.

All in all, a great buy and I highly recommend it. At the price I paid, you can’t go wrong. With the new price, I would maybe hesitate a little bit. It’s seems high now. (The 52 inch was actually cheaper than the 46 inch version of this table by a lot for some reason.

by almost 70$) If it’s in stock, don’t walk, run to the website!!! ;-).

Quality table. Strong and sturdy Too heavy though I am using this table to setup my workstation. I have a laptop, keyboard, mouse and two screens and everything fits perfectly on it. I like the quality of the table.

Especially, the board. Overall, a very elegant table. However, being a home user I wouldn’t mind if it were half of its weight. It’s just too heavy. Fortunately, it has wheels to move it around my place with ease but carrying it to my place when it initially arrived was a major task.

Also, I am not sure how I going to transport it if I move places.

This workbench is incredibly well engineered. I have purchased 3 Seville products this year and they have all been well thought out in design and made with top quality materials. My primary use for this one will be for a 12 inch Miter Saw, I have a vacuum on the lower shelf for dust collection that stays with the saw when it I move it.

I just got this assembled. The top is solid wood with a polyurethane coating, so smoothing out the surface should be easy (just add another coat. ) Everything assembles with machine bolts and lock washers.

no self tapping screws, so it is very solid. The legs are heavy steel, and the wheels are heavy duty locking wheels. All four wheels lock. I’ll be putting a bench drill press and drill press vice onto it, to use as a mobile drill press station.

It’s almost too nice to use as a mobile workbench! 10/10 would buy again!.

This is a super value for the quality of the unit. It was packed well and assembly was very easy. All the tools you need are provided in the box. We also purchased the 6ft Rolling Workbench. The Mobile Workstation tucks in nicely beside the Workbench providing a long, continuous place to work in the garage.

(I had thought the handle on the Rolling Workbench would interfere with the Mobile Workstation placement but the handles fit under the Workstation top. ) The only issue is the Mobile Workstation is 24″ deep while the Workbench is 20″.

We don’t anticipate that to be an issue, though. We purchased several storage pieces from Seville for our garage and are very happy with the quality of materials and workmanship of the units.

I love these cabinets. I bought 6 for the garage. They were simple, if a little time consuming, to put together. Just keep the MANY MANY MANY screws organized, be patient and double check you have the panels aligned according to the instructions and square before you tighten everything together.

I used a ratchet screwdriver instead of a drill to prevent stripping and it worked perfectly. Now my garage looks neat and tidy and everything stays mostly dust free. I lock the cabinets where I keep anything that could be toxic, and don’t have to worry about kids getting into it.

The casters don’t have leveling adjustments, so one or two of the doors are slightly wonky due to uneven floors, but they still close and lock. Only I really notice they aren’t level but I like things perfect so I will work on a solution! It is SO great to have large sturdy cabinets on truly heavy-duty locking casters that can be moved easily even when loaded.

These were a fraction of the cost of Gladiator, but Gladiator does not have a similar size cabinet on casters anyway. Be aware when planning to load your car that the boxes are not long and flat, but more square since the cabinet is broken into panels.

look at the box dimensions. I didn’t check and had to make two trips to bring all 6 home. My garage is not damp, so I can’t comment on rust resistance if that is an issue for you. I much prefer these to my prior solution of open wire shelving which always looked messy.

The threaded pop rivet nuts are very susceptible to spinning and stripping out making assembly very difficult. Manufacturer customer service not very satisfaction guaranteed centered. Would not ship missing parts without an elaborate return process.

Would not ship missing parts and defective parts at the same time. The shelf brackets are susceptible to falling out and the whole cabinet is not strong enough to resist racking on even slightly irregular surface someone.

I do like the magnetic door closures and so far it appears to be rodent resistant. I purchased separately a rust inhibitor emitter going inside each of them. The antique tip over straps on the back are very low quality and easily ripped and would not hold a full cabinet.

The other big negative for me was that the shelf bracket slots do not accept standard hangers which could have been easily accomplished and that would have made the unit much more versatile. It has been over 3 months and I still have not heard back from customer service about replacement of defective parts and missing parts I have had to purchase separately to get the construction done and to be usable.

I will keep looking for a better nail design and built.

I bought 2 of these and these comments apply to both. Instructions were a bit hard to find. Thought they weren’t included, so I went online. Halfway through the assembly, I found them. They were very clear.

All parts were very clearly marked and included text and not just pictures. The packaging was great, though it used a lot of styrofoam, which protected very well, but I have to throw away (it can’t be recycled here).

Not only did I get all the parts, but they nicely included some extras (thank you!). There was no damage to the product during shipping. I was able to assemble these by myself very easily. Only 1 screw didn’t fit as well as it should have.

I had to drive it in with a drill, but it worked out fine. The second cabinet had no issues. Thank you also for the magnetic screwdriver – this was invaluable assembling this by myself. The cabinet itself looks great and rolls great.

It does seem like it will topple easily, but I haven’t put anything in yet. Overall, I think these are great for the money and will purchase more.

So I ordered the 9 piece Pro Series red cabinets with the bamboo work top in Nov of 2021 and was given several ship dates. Due to Covid materials shortages (understandable) i ended up not taking delivery on the cabinets until April of 2022 and I wanted to wait a few months to give an honest review after using them for awhile.

A little info on myself, I have been a professional mechanic for 30 years and have built both custom cars, motorcycles, and boats over the years and I demand the best in my tools and organization in my workspace.

I began building my “dream shop” last year and did tons of research on what cabinet systems to purchase and kept going back to these New Age Pro cabinets especially after seeing them in the shops of several nationally reknowned car and bike customizing shops on television and online.

As I said the order took quite awhile to arrive but New Age was constantly emailing and updating me on the order process delays which was really nice and kept me at ease. I had called at one point to see where we were at with shipping and the rep couldnt have been any nicer to me, he took the order number and was having some computer issues and said he would call me right back.

I thought “yeah, ok” but 15 minutes later called back with all the info on the order. That is some great customer service right there. They texted and emailed me when the delivery was scheduled and their shipper was amazing also.

On delivery day instead of dropping them at the end of the driveway they were able to load it right into my shop since I was solo and the pallets were extremely heavy to move. I unboxed them and I have to say i was shocked at the incredible quality of the cabinets, it was far beyond what I had expected at that price point.

The cabinets are very heavy duty steel panels, all quality welds, and heavy duty hardware is included. They are pretty time consuming to put together but well worth the time. I assembled these myself but I would definitely recommend a helper, especially if you are not used to moving around heavy things by yourself.

The colors on all cabinet doors matched perfectly and the fit and finish is top notch. Soft drawer and door closers surprised me as its not common except for my Snap-On tool boxes. The bamboo work top looked great and is really heavy and thick with a quality finish on it.

The shelves are super quality, i have them pretty heavily loaded with no distortion or sagging in them. The keys that were included all matched so only 1 key locks all 8 cabinets securely with a full length door lock which was really useful for me.

Aesthetically they look really nice in my new shop and again the quality is amazing. My neighbors and many of my mechanic friends spent quite a bit of time admiring them and everyone has been impressed with the build quality.

I cant say enough good things about these cabinets, if you arent sure I can assure you that you will pretty happy with these as I am. Great job New Age, alot of thought and engineering really turned out a superior product.

I am extremely pleased with the quality and good looks of my10 piece Pro Series garage cabinets. The cabinets were extremely well packaged during shipping with no damage to cabinets. However, be prepared for a large quantity of wooden skids and packing material waste.

I used the large plastic bags that the cabinets were shipped in to help dispose of cardboard and Styrofoam. It took me a whole afternoon to unpack and inventory all of the cabinets. The other issue that I was not ready for was my garage wall was out of plum by 3/4″.

I had to use backing lathe to level and mount the cabinets. This did take me longer than I expected. I would check your walls prior to be ready for the extra work and material. The wall cabinet bolt holes will not align if you do not level and plum them properly during mounting (not slotted).

The other thing that happened was the shipping company would not let me write on the shipping information log sheet which boxes were damaged. This is what the Newage receipt inspection instructions tells you to do.

The shipper told me that if you write anything on the shipping papers regarding damage, they have to return the material or open boxes for inspection. Some of my boxes had tears or dents in the cardboard.

So, we had to open all of the boxes with the driver present that had tears or dents to inspect contents before driver would leave. This took almost 45 minutes to open everything and inspect. Fortunately, there was only some minor paint nicks on the cabinets and bamboo tops.

The cabinet assembly instructions were very good with no issues. All hardware comes packed in blister packs and you get more than you need. Newage does a great job with assembly instructions and hardware.

The cabinets are also fairly heavy it helps to have and extra person. I also pre-drilled all the lag screw holes before for securing cabinets to the wall studs. This made the whole install much easier.

I hope this information helps and the Pro Series Model is definitely worth the extra money if you are having trouble deciding between Pro and Bold.

The delivery boxes came damaged, but nothing was dented. However, there was much scratching on the bottom of the two short cabinets. Luckily this is out of sight, so no great problem. Out of the six cabinets that have doors on the front, only one closes properly, and I was told by customer service, that the doors are non-adjustable.

None of the doors line up in the front of the cabinets. Most of them rub on the top or the bottom of the opening, not allowing the door to close and also scratching the white painted finish. Only one wall cabinet closes completely on its own, as they should.

The white paint finish on the perimeter of the cabinets with exception of the scratched bottoms is very nice, but on the front of the doors of one of the tall universal cabinets, the paint finish has glaring flaws in it, and also on the one short cabinet.

The stainless handle on one of the wall cabinets has a chunk out of it. I previously had a sink cabinet from NEWAGE which I think is very nice, and I was excited to have the new cabinet set for my new garage.

Turns out, I am very disappointed!.

Bought these for storage and working surface in our new shed. They will hold over 250lbs and I believe it. These are well built and easy to assemble. We coated the bare wood shelf for added protection Excellent value if you are looking for a strong, storage/work bench setup.
