20 Best Woven Dental Floss (2022 Updated)

After looking for a worthy replacement for the five star Gore Glide Dental Tape, much missed, this product is a worthy contender. Having several crowned teeth and other dental issues, this tape is very easy to use, flattens out when between the spaces, and the light wax coating makes it glide.

No shredding or breaking, well designed holder and excellent value. No silly flavour either. I would recommend it as a first class product. At last an end to trying every floss/tape on the market, I’m sticking with this.

Please don’t discontinue it.

This is a great dental tape. I had been seeking a replacement for my long-term favourite in another brand which, like a lot of good things, has been discontinued! I’ve tried out numerous other brands but this is the closest I can find.

It is indeed smooth and waxy, doesn’t get stuck between your teeth and most importantly doesn’t shred! So for me, a really good product. My search ends here and I will be buying it again. and again!.

Good product. Better than regular dental floss.

This is the best dental floss I’ve ever used. It’s much gentler than anything else. It’s thicker and doesn’t cut into the gums. Also, you hold the floss more loosely than regular floss, so that it can fluff up and pick up more particles, and this lets you clean between your teeth effectively without scraping so much.

My gum health has noticeably improved since I switched to this dental floss. I also suggest looking up the “C shape” flossing method on YouTube. I used to press dental floss more against my gums than the sides of my teeth, and I think that contributed to having gum inflammation.

There are a few things I feel could be improved on: -More information about what this floss is made of. -Less plastic involved in the container & packaging. -I go through each container surprisingly quickly, so I wish they had a larger size to reduce waste (and possibly expense).

Nevertheless, it’s still the best, and I’m going to keep using it for the foreseeable future. I’m also interested in trying Cocofloss, which I’ve heard is also very gentle. Swanson, if you carry it, I will buy it.

As somone who hates to floss due to tight teeth I resorted to using a waxed floss just to keep it from shredding during the process. Then my hygenist told me that waxed floss was terrible because it doesn’t clean as much as non-waxed.

Then I discovered this floss and gave it a try. The product flattens a bit making it easy to navigate the tight teeth and in the process removes more from between the teeth and the gumline making the results feel amazing.

Love the flavor, too. I even brought it to my hygenist to take a look and she was amazed and approved. Never thought I would get excited over dental floss but here I am.

I have a couple of small gaps between my back teeth and food always gets trapped between them. I year or so ago I was trying to get a piece of steak out from one of the gaps and accidentally jabbed my gum with a toothpick.

Not only did it hurt and bleed but I was worried that I would get some kind of an infection from it. I had the dentist look at it and he said that it was small but I had to rinse after I ate anything until it healed up.

That’s when I switched to using noting but dental floss to get food out from between my teeth. The Reach Gum Care Mint Floss has 50 yards of floss per package. It has a nice mint taste to it when you are flossing with it and even though there is a minimal amount of wax on it to allow it to slide between teeth without fraying, that never gets left behind on your teeth.

I have never had this slide into my gums when I have been trying to get food out from between my teeth and it does a much better job than a toothpick and it is a lot safer. The only problem that I have with it is getting rid of the used pieces.

If I throw it in the trash in the bathroom the ferrets pick up on the mint scent and knock over the trash can trying to get to it. The dogs used to do the same thing until one of them ended up with it stuck between his teeth.

I have no idea how long it was stuck there but when I came home he was sitting outside the bathroom door with a piece of it hanging out of his mouth. That was the last time any of the dogs went in the trash in the bathroom.

A container of this lasts me a couple of months; I don’t use it when I brush my teeth (even though my dentist recommended it) but when I am getting low on it I always buy another one to have on hand when I need it.

I prefer this to other dental floss products that I have tried. The taste is pleasant and I have never had any problems with it fraying or getting stuck between my teeth.

Env: development Reach Gum Care was recommended to me by my dental hygienist several years ago. She felt that since it is thicker, it does a better job of cleaning between teeth. I also feel like it does a better job of cleaning between my teeth than the regular thin floss.

It does a better job of getting food particles out. I like knowing it has fluoride, so I am protected between my teeth. It has a minty flavor that I like, and I also like the scent. One negative to this floss, and the reason I can’t give it a ten, is that it sometimes shreds between my teeth and leaves small pieces of thread.

It can also be hard to get off the dispenser because it can shred, and the woven strands sometimes separate. It is also more expensive than regular floss. I feel that the higher price is worth it because I’m getting floss that does a better job of cleaning between my teeth.

The flouride it leaves behind on my teeth also makes it worth paying more for. Env: development.

One problem I’ve had buying dental floss online is low quality knock-offs that shred and break. Compared visually to the same product store-bought, the online floss appeared slightly thinner. However, I’ve had no problems using it.

It doesn’t seem to shred or break more than the store-bought floss. (Though, if there’s a difference, it might come out in someone with teeth more difficult to floss than mine. ) To be fair, this might be the genuine article.

Sometimes manufacturers change the product. Perhaps its the same floss but when wound on larger rolls it compresses slightly and appears a little different. Bottom line: Works fine for me. Terrific price.

I am a daily flosser, but I usually get Oral-B Glide. I also use the GUM Soft Picks, so I’m familiar with the brand. Well, I picked this up floss yesterday because the price was good. Big mistake. I went to use it this morning, and 4 hours later, I am still trying to get it out of my teeth.

It felt horrible going between my teeth, but I figured that was because I was used to the waxed tape. Then, it got completely stuck between two of my teeth and began shredding. The harder I pulled, the more it began to hurt, and finally I yanked it free, but part of it stayed behind.

I am grossed out, and will be going to get my Glide after work.

Ok this is the worst floss ever. I had to buy it because my usual one was out of stock and went with this one with many regrets lol. It is just terrible and does not allow for easy flossing. I will admit I bought it because it came with a cute little purple one to carry in your purse hahah so they get two stars because of that.

This floss is a great value and very strong and effective. It is not as slippery as I prefer since I have pretty tight teeth. No shredding, but I need a long strand each time to have a fresh section to slide between each pair of teeth.

Nice light mint flavor.

Quality, price and delivery. None better. This product is not available in local stores and the price is very manageable for being shipped halfway across the country. I have been using G-U-M Butlerweave for decades and always online.

Other dental floss breaks and comes in tiny little containers.

Super strong floss, doesn’t fray at all. Really, really happy with this purchase and so much better than the Georganics one. I bought this first and it wasn’t great at all, so I already had the dispenser for it.

This floss also fits in that dispenser which is great. Definitely going to re-purchase when needed.

Wouldn’t recommend especially if you have narrow gaps in your teeth. The floss frays and snaps much too easily.

I absolutely am in love with this floss however Mr. Reen likes to discontinue a good thing This floss was absolutely amazing it was very gentle on your gums had it good flavor to it and left Your mouth very Fresh and clean.

I’m a dental hygienist and I would regularly recommended this floss because unlike other flosses this floss would actually get the black stopped to it and pulled it away from the tooth unlike wax Floss which feels like you’re just moving it around.

I agree with others that this woven floss isnt as good as it used to be. Its loosely woven now, and shreds easily between teeth that arent totally smooth or next to a crown. The cinnamon taste is okay; the former mint flavor was much more refreshing.

That being said, its the only woven floss I can find, and I dont think the others clean as well. Its not a good value, though, because of the current price gouging. Eight dollars for shipping First Class? Seriously?.

Ebay wrote to me and asked me to “help millions of people shop smarter on eBay”. Given the opportunity to “help millions of people”, how can I say “no”? This product is great! Most dental floss products hurt my gums.

They are made of simple waxed string or a band of waxed something that when it pushes through, where my teeth are close together the other floss crashes against my gums and sometimes cuts right into my gums, leaving me bloody and sore.

This “gentle woven” floss has never done that. It simply gets the food stuck in the crevasses out, which is all I’m asking for when it comes to dental floss. For some reason, this “gentle woven” floss is hard to find in stores now, so I’m forced to search for it on the internet.

I do recall that I was promised a 6-pack of this product in the original ad that I clicked on, but before I finalized my purchase I was pretty sure I was only going to be getting one pack, and indeed that is all I got.

It would have been an even better deal, had I received all 6, but c’est la vie. So “millions of people”, I hope this review helps you shop smarter.

I used to HATE Flossing! No matter how many Dentists had admonished me to “. Floss regularly,” I simply hated it. Other flossers got stinky, kept slipping through my fingers, cut into my gums. , all in all I couldn’t/wouldn’t do it, until.

Happily, I uncovered “Dr. Tung’s Activated Charcoal, Vegan Lemongrass Smart Floss;” it changed everything! Now, I rarely miss flossing regularly, and actually ENJOY Flossing! This floss does not keep slipping through my (“trigger fingers”), it expands, as I run it through my teeth, it does remove even chewed Almonds, stuck between the teeth.

It does not stink, nor does it cut into my gums, which means I ACTUALLY, DO FLOSS now. The reward, last year has been NO Admonitions by my Dentist and cessation of previous gum disease. Instead, I was praised for taking such good care of my teeth.

I love Dr Tung’s floss and like this simple packaging, because it doesn’t have any plastic waste like Dr Tung’s regular floss. That said, I wish the regular uncoated or flavoured floss was available this way.

I also don’t really get why this one has the word “VEGAN” on it. What isn’t vegan about the other floss? Seems gimmicky like writing gluten-free on a basket of apples.

I will never buy any other floss ever again! I found this floss at Sprouts and love how it seems like the only floss that actually “brushes”between my teeth. i told a dentist about it and they told me about the one they recommend.

I like this floss much better than the prior brand of silk floss I was using. I haven’t had any issues with it shredding or breaking. It is very thin but that has been a good thing since it can fit in between all my back teeth.

The spool fits just fine in my re-usable glass container from another brand.

I bought this to replace silk floss I purchased from another company. This floss is better wound and a little stiffer so it never gets stuck when unwinding in the dispenser. Being slightly stiffer also makes it feel better between my teeth.

I need to know if your bamboo toilet paper is safe for septic tanks and city sewers??? Your floss is marvelous!

These are great ! My teeth are very close together and this gets in between them without tearing. They do not hurt my gums at all and the floss is very smooth. The only problem is that they are a bit tough to find, I received them in a Little Life Box and can only assume they sell them at all natural/ organic stores, as opposed to more common ones.

Gave it one star because zero wasn’t an option. I usually taste one berry to make sure they are sweet but today I regretably did not. they are do sour I cannot eat them and will return them. seriously,really sour.

This floss works great for cleaning plaque off teeth. The reason I try to buy your products is your environmental responsibility. However, I hate having to throw these little plastic boxes away!! It would be so easy and so much more environmentally responsible to make REFILLS and pack them in recyclable cardboard.

I would buy them in bulk if they were available. I see many others agree with me. So let’s do it. We’ll buy them if you make them!.

When I first bought this floss, I noticed the plastic case opened and the floss roll could be removed which made me very excited because I assumed you could buy refills instead of purchasing a new plastic container each time.

Unfortunately after much hunting for the elusive floss refills I learned that an entirely new plastic container must be purchased each time. Why is this? I would pay the same price for a roll of floss to refill my current container.

I wince each time I have to purchase new floss even though I love this this product! Even my dentist has been impressed with my level of flossing which I account directly to Tom’s excellent floss. In the end though If I can find a comparable floss in a reusable container or just by the spool I will switch products in a heartbeat.

A slightly mint- scented floss that is thick and well waxed. Never breaks or shreds and cleans around gums very well. The thin floss by other brands cut gums, breaks apart and hurts fingers. Even my dentist uses a thick floss but had hardly anything to clean, because I used this the night before my appointment.

I have used it for years with no issues. It is really like no other! I would not consider it flat like ribbon though. The flat kind does not clean my teeth very well. It is like very thin robe that clings to plague for a good cleaning.

I do wish that the mint was a stronger refreshing peppermint and not spearmint. Other than that I hope they continue to make thick floss like this!.

The main reasons I use and like the Eco-dent flosses are 1) vegan, although that seems to be less of an issue these days 2) good value for money 3) environmentally friendly packaging. The floss itself is actually a bit on the thin side and I prefer thicker material.

But it doesn’t break easily or anything. I’ve been using this brand for over a decade now.

LOVE LOVE IT. Be careful when opening it. What you see here is the box that holds it. I like that it is must longer that the normal dental floss. I am a lifer for this floss. It is a little hard on tighter teeth but I can get them all.

But judge for yourself try everything once cause you might like it more (not possible) or even less than I did.

Fast shipping. The floss is sealed in plastic to maintain the flavor. I only bought it bc I thought there was no plastic involved.

I don’t know if it’s an issue with my teeth or the floss, but I keep tearing the string between my molars. I normally use the teflon type floss with no issue, but was gifted this product by a friend.

Also, not a critique but a suggestion: there should be floss loops! Saves your fingers and material. I normally tie my floss in a loop, and I tried both loop and finger wrap methods with this floss.

I wanted to love this product. Zero-waste and vegan? Sign me up. Unfortunately this floss is practically useless. I can’t even get the floss between my teeth without it breaking half way in. It then gets stuck in my teeth leaving it very difficult to get out and frankly uncomfortable.

Wow, best floss ever! It doesn’t slip from my fingers when I’m flossing and I’m able to get into some tight areas between some of my teeth. Feels like a really deep clean every time without any harshness or plastic-waste.

Flossing is important and I’ve been using aim as my go to floss my whole life. The little tooth design, the quality of the floss and the easy usage makes it impossible to change brands! It does the job right and I enjoy using it as part of my routine!.

I like this refill floss because it’s thick. It removes debris between the teeth very well. The biggest pro is that it reduces packaging. The only downside is that it tends to slip out of my fingers when I’m cutting the floss and it slips into the glass container, so I have to open the glass container to “fish” the floss out.

I’ve gotten better about it but definitely happened a few times when I first started using. Maybe if the roll were taller it wouldn’t have this issue.

Love the eco materials and packaging decisions. I can slowly get through most of one jaw before it tears, which is largely the floss thickness and the strain of trying to get it between my tight teeth.

I used the glide style floss for years before realizing it was PTFE (argh) and most options have fluoride coatings. Really hope there’s more R&D potential for floss–I genuinely wish this product worked as well for me as it does for the rest of the reviewers.

The floss has a great feel to it. When using it, it feels au natural and is worth the money. Better deal to wait for a sale to see if you are able to order without paying 59 a year for a membership account.

But other than that, this floss and the shampoo and conditioner are amazing and you feel great using something that is environmentally conscious.

I’m wondering if the reviews on this are real. ??? I ordered two of these based on the raving reviews, but I wish someone would have shared how THICK the dental floss is and how it separates into little threads that are easily lodged in-between your teeth when flossing.

Now, I’m stuck with two full items that I’ll never use. Perhaps if you don’t have teeth that are tightly aligned and close together, this would be a good floss. ?? Otherwise, I’d steer clear, way to thick and comes apart while flossing.

Works great on areas that are not tight or my crown. My crown snags and tears it leaving threats stuck between there that I have to use other brands to remove. Same goes for a back molar that had a filling and left a tight gap.

If your teeth are in great shape, this will work fine. If you have very tight areas or dental work like crowns, not so much.

I haven’t used fluoride in 5 years since I learned of a health condition, and it’s hard to find non fluoride flosses that work well, so I bought this. I do find it easy to use and easy to go through my very tightly spaced teeth, which is another problem I find with commercial flosses; they are difficult to use.

I have and would purchase again.
