17 Best Wow Pve Server (2022 Updated)

We have purchased over 15 of these in the past 1 1/2 years for our wine tasting venue. I love the concept, but the quality of the workmanship is lacking. We returned about 50% of them and reordered because the stems that are welded on are not level and glasses can easily tip off when using as a serving instrument.

This do a good job for glass storage, but I’d check them out closely if you are using them for serving wine.

Love the product, tried to purchase from a large national brand and found they were more expensive and when they arrived three of the six were heavily damaged. Hayneedle took care in the product they were 100% perfect when they arrived and I ended up paying less, huge fan of hayneedle!.

I did not purchase this for the intention of serving flights of wine. I have limited cabinet space and needed a safe way to store and display wine glasses. This works perfectly for my very limited upper cabinet space.

Quality appears to be excellent and with the wine glasses inserted, creates a classy/elegant look.

For Warcraft Fans. this was thrilling. For the average Joe, there were a few small things that did not work. I hope we see more movies like this. All of us Warcraft fans wanted to see more of the Races, Classes and Cities.

But is was cool to see Stormwind. Before I showed to movie to my friends, I hooked up one of my computers to the big screen and booted up World or Warcraft. I flew around the areas the you see in the movie.

They loved seeing the game first and then the movie. Even if your not a Warcraft player, it is still an excellent movie with a good plot and great character. I highly recommend this movie!.

I think Legendary films did an amazing job with this film. It can’t be that easy to bring an MMO to the big screen. The special affects were amazing, and the acting, plot and storyline were good. I only think that the film didn’t do that well at the box office because World of Warcraft was already on the decline when the film finally came out.

That’s a shame too, because I believe that films of the expansions would have been amazing.

There’s not a lot of movies available in 4K, and having just purchased a 4K player I wanted a movie that would show it off. This movie, while not academy award film making, does show the additional sharpness and detail of the 4K medium.

Be aware that there may be compatabilty problems between color circuits on the 4K player and your 4K TV and I would suggest buying a player the same brand as your TV if possible. Of course if you have an LG, that’s not possible bc they don’t make a 4K player yet.

A big mistake on their part, and not particularly considerate of their customers. The movie does have excellent sound and color. It’s also pretty good in regular HD.

I love this thermal server! It is lined to keep liquids hot or cold. It holds about 8 cups of liquid so t easily serves 8-10 small to medium cups of coffee or tea. It keeps liquids hot for long periods of time.

The lid secures quite easily, and has a spout that opens when you press the lever with your thumb (unlike other servers that you have to unscrew the lid to pour). It has a stylish swirl design. I bought one in white and black to use for serving coffee and hot water for tea at my cooking club events and it has worked very well.

Our events go for about 2-3 hours and these servers have worked beautifully for our needs. I would buy again and I would recommend them to a friend!.

I was so happy to receive them however after using them one of the tops is defective and doesn’t close right. All of them hold the coffee in the lid when you unscrew it coffee spills all over I’ve also noticed some of them do not keep the coffee hot I won’t purchase these again.

The white server also looks worn, especially on the lid. My church is considering replacing our current servers, and I ordered these for them to look at. After seeing them, the committee wholeheartedly declined.

I previously sent you both box and server pictures and my comments regarding both, and I have been waiting for a refund. The cost, including shipping and handling, was $56. 29.

Setup was incredibly easy. I simply put the drives in, and it was away and setting up the RAID in moments. It took about a day for the RAID 5 to be ready, and then I thought I was good to go. Sadly, that is the ONLY aspect of this NAS that has worked well.

Connection speeds to all my computers are pitifully slow. Even on a 1megabit connection (which I know isn’t fast), the speed varies between 4 and 40 megabytes a second, most of the time averaging around 20.

Sometimes it’s so slow it crashes the Finder (on Mac), or causes other programs on both Windows and Mac to have issues. Downloads on the same 1 megabit network are normally about 150, (for perspective).

Direct file transfers to the device using the USB ports can get up to around 250 (so it’s not the drives or the network at fault). Software quality is also complete rubbish. Many changes to settings or apps don’t “stick” and need to be applied multiple times.

Other apps (like the download manager) have options to change the location a download goes to, but they can’t be changed at all. Time Machine backups are so slow that one that would normally take 30 minutes while connected directly to a hard drive, would take 15 hours (completely defeating the point of backing up to a NAS, as the batter of the computer will be flat, long before the backup is complete).

Crashes, disconnections and non-functional software abound in many other areas as well, and many of the functions of the NAS simply don’t work at all; it’s like the software is still in beta. All up, this makes for an absolutely awful experience.

It’s a shame, because there is so much potential here, but it’s almost to the point of the device being unfit for the purpose it is sold for. Asustor, like many producers of tech products at present, seriously need to get their act together and start producing quality software.

It’s shocking to me that they can get away with selling such a half-baked product.

Used the automated procedure to configure the drives but the web application froze about 10 mins in. While the 4*6TB drives formatted properly after about 12 hours the Asustor site registration etc. was not completed.

After a few days experimenting with the NAS unit as I had changed brands I needed to familiarize myself with it’s idiosyncrasies. Amongst other things I found that I could only initiate FTP and RSYNC from the Asustor and not from the older NAS.

I did a fair bit of experimenting with to determine the best/fastest way to transfer 4TB of files from my old 2 bay NAS. The LAN interface/processer was definitely under powered in the old NAS only averaging about 40MB transfer rates on a 100MB interface.

Six years and going to 4 Bay showed how the technology has improved. After all this I ended up re-initializing the NAS – this time everything went through perfectly to a full conclusion. Then I did the full file transfer.

The data transfer, coming up to speed with the new NAS and implementation of enhanced security over the old NAS took much longer than I expected but I got there in the end.

The unit is of high quality construction and came up with no problems, using Seagate IronWolf drives. Creating shares is fairly straightforward. The problem I’ve had was I wanted to use the unit to replace my camera surveillance server.

Load up the module, click on it and a popup asks to download a driver. Download/install, restart the browser – it doesn’t work, just asks to install the driver again. I contacted tech support and ultimately got this answer: For the issue mentioned, we are currently having issues with the Surveillance Center app in MAC OS.

The issue was reported to our engineering team and they are doing their best to repair it. It will be fixed in our future software update. For now please find a windows computer to configure the Surveillance Center app.

Sorry, this just won’t fly. I don’t have Windows and won’t have it. I run Mac and Linux. Too bad Linux isn’t supported, given that the NAS runs Linux – but to claim to support Mac and then tell me to use Windows.

that stinks. There is no commitment on the part of Asustor to support Mac for the surveillance feature, except for a vague ‘some time in the future’ indication. All I can do at this point is hope that some day they actually offer support as they claim to do.

Pros: Small form factor with four full sized drive bays. Fairly quiet and the management options are great. Updating the firmware is a breeze with “Intelligent Provisioning”. Cons: The CPU isn’t great but it is easy to replace (I replaced it with an E-2146G).

iLO 5 requires an additional enablement kit, I think this should have been included. iLO is what differentiate it from the rest of the market. Expansion slots (PCIE 16x) don’t get any airflow and can run hot.

This is an awesome little server. I have tested a few different setups with it, and have added the iLO card to it. Being able to install an OS on it via the iLO card is pretty great, though you need to buy a license for the “advanced” iLO to make it worth while.

I tested Nutanix, VMware and Proxmox VE on it, and all three installed and operated great on it. I ended up using Nutanix CE due to needing to learn a bit more about it.

Pros: It’s a well-built server with features found on servers all the way up the ProLiant range. Cons: For the price it’s spot on.

Purchased a copy of this from Target at Cypress, TX. The box was not wrapped in shrink wrap but the box appeared sealed. Asked the guy to sign the receipt in case the code was already used. Sure enough, drove all the way home to find out it was already used.

Really frustrating – the codes should be under scratch-off wax so you can easily tell if it’s been scratched off. Going to buy online codes from now on.

I’ve built 3 of these for medical clinics, I got it with a RAID Card and ran ESXi with it. Server is super fast, doesn’t skip a beat, and doesn’t glitch out. AMD chips provide very good multitasking for cheap.

Setting up a SSD RAID 10 I was able to get 1800MB/s in IO.

I don’t think that I’ll ever go back to the brand names. I’ve saved my employer (professional services, 250 employees) almost $100k in server refresh by sticking with white box Supermicro. In a recent example, we wanted some lightweight servers with redundant power supplies.

You simply can’t get that from Dell, HP or IBM without getting spendy.

I haven’t used any MS Server products in decades, since NT4/2000 era. I wanted to learn all of the ins and outs, plus have another home server in addition to my linux box. The price was nice, and I didn’t need to buy any CALs for what I intended of it.

It is limited compared to the standard version, but for what I intend, the less expense was a good trade off. For a small business that needs a file server, email server, web server, and want/need active directory, this works great.

I know there are other solutions, cough, Linux, cough, but this isn’t a bad solution, either. Right now, I have this running on an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, Gigabyte B450M MB, 32GB RAM, 500GB WD NVMe with 3 1TB WD Blue drives in RAID5.

Nice cheap Windows Server chugging happily along. Server Essentials 2019 on better hardware would run exceedingly well.

I’m glad I bought from Trusted Tech Team. They have great support and fast responses with orders and questions. Microsoft is a terrible company though. Buy the OS and then buy access for each person to use the software you already paid for.

They can’t go out of business soon enough. We are moving to Linux to avoid their greedy price gouging business practices. Windows desktop/server are awful in almost every way. Terrible broken documentation, band-aided buggy ancient features and apps, nothing works as their instructions specify, constant disregard for customer preferences, awful support, etc.

I appreciated the link to the Microsoft Partner website that proved the company’s status. I saw other sketchy vendors WITHOUT such links (though claiming to be authorized MS resellers) offering lower prices.

There was nothing to complain about re the speed of acknowledging & processing the order, and issuing the product license after I responded to their email inquiry for more info on the licensee. I was impressed with the quantity and applicabilty of the instructions (with links to further documentation and how-to videos) that came with the emails, very helpful for someone navigating the fussy procedures for the first time => everything a customer needs to be successful.

Indeed, I would not have been able to get the license server working correctly without the instructions, of which some seemed counterintuitive in part, yet turned out to be necessary.

The number one reason to use Windows Server and Active Directory services is because your organization wants to run Exchange as your primary email platform. The number two reason to use Windows Server in your organization is for authentication of users and machines.

If you are not running a domain model then your Microsoft Windows Server just becomes a glorified file storage machine that uses NTFS permission of files and folders. In the domain model, the first Windows Server in Active Directory also known as the forest domain root controller becomes the Domain Naming System (DNS).

A lot of solutions in the cloud are now competing with the local File Server model that Windows server addresses. If you have less than 20 employees it may not justify the cost of licensing/server hardware and time to maintain windows server to justify the benefits.

The Microsoft Licensing model is very confusing and can be costly. If you are a non profit Microsoft has generous price cuts through tech soup. Because windows server is a traditional software model you will need to maintain it and upgrade it after the product is replaced with the next version.

If you have over 20 employees and want the fastest possible access to files than Windows server is probably well suited. Many on site software solutions also require running on Windows server as well.

But when it comes to running specialized applications like Cisco Unified Communications Manager, these tend to run much better in a Linux environment than on Windows and they are also more stable on Linux.

When Cisco CUCM used to run on Windows, the updates alone caused many headaches. With Linux, you don’t do any regular updates; you just install a patch if you have an issue or upgrade to the next version.

Storage appliances also run much better on customized versions of Linux or Unix than they do on Windows.

As my first dip into Server Grade hardware, I wouldnt be able to tell you what my expectations were. In my mind, I knew I was in for a lot of bench real estate being taken up when this beast rocked up.

Beast is the most applicable term for this piece of kit, as I had all intents and purposes to run Windows 7 or 10 on it, then load up as many Virtual Machines as I could and take it from there. The install of Windows 7 was the quickest I had ever seen (THANK YOU RAID 0!) and the upgrade to 10 was around the same time.

But then I got curious. I had heard of ESXi as the VM Hypervisor, but never used it. In went an SD card to the internal slot, and away I went. ESXi installed wonderfully, and then reallocating the 1.

0xTb of internal drives for the VM storage was a walk in the park. Well, ESXi 6. 7 is installed and running, Windows Server 2016 as one perpetually on VM doing all sorts of things with DHCP and DNS for me.

You can barely hear the fans as the desktop file server I have in the same storage area is louder than this Server. Except when HP iLO gets configured, but thats a given, and the fans run at full blast for less than 30 seconds.

HP iLO is a great thing to have configured & set up, as this server can run headless (no monitor) and not have an issue. Use the HP iLO remote console (web interface gives you the ins and outs) to see whats on screen, and if its an ESXi System Install, just use the easy to navigate web console for information.

All in all, the setup of this Server was quick and painless, YouTube helped me out because Id rather see people do things to their own hardware than go in knowing nothing & breaking everything. This is a great Server for VMs, resource use with ESXi is lower than a 66Mhz 486 (when idle) and RAM Usage depends purely on what Vms are running at the time.

Set the web consoles up for both ESXi and HP iLO and youll have more information than you thought possible. Even though this has 2x 460 Watt PSUs, Ive not seen it need more than 250 watts yet. Id be comfortable sitting in the storage area listening to this run as Im working on VMs for Cert III & Cert IV Tafe work As its the quietest system Ive heard yet, so HP have done great with heat dissipation.

TL;DR: Great Server, killer performance, minimal power usage & lack of noise makes me want to replace all towers I have with more ProLiants and maybe a server rack would make my ideal setup that could last easily for another 5-10 years.

I’ve had DL380s for over 10 years, they’ve always been extremely noisy. This is amazingly quiet. Occasionally fans will start up then spin down with temperature. I wish that the onboard ILO didn’t require a license be purchased for some of it’s features.

HP servers are quality with many smart functions built into enterprise hard drives belonging to HP. This generation is now a bargain with all the features of the modern CPU’s and RAM for a fraction of the cost with many more years to go.

Shadowlands tends to be a well rounded expansion so far, although this has been the longest raid tier in my memory. CE box is different to the others in my collection, the sigils for each covenant have a reflective quality to them which looks really good on the box.

The Pins are a nice addition, good solid feel to them. Mousepad feels a bit cheap, I personally prefer the cloth feel so that could be why. Soundtrack is a digital download this time round, nothing wrong with that but I like the physical loot.

Art book gorgeous as usual. A good buy.

I love it all. I have been playing wow and collecting these collectors editions since the beginning. This is another one to add to my collection.

I have never had any luck when buying software for the company. Everything seems to be over complicated and exponentially expensive. I have to say Trusted Tech Team is the exact opposite of anything that I have experienced thus far and doubt that I will be able to shop anywhere else for my Sever OS and or office software.

Our server machine gave out on us and our previous license wasn’t able to be pulled off of it. This place has a good reputation for its installation support. Seeing as we are trying to put this on a new rig that we put together ourselves we thought that bit of help wouldn’t be bad to have on reserve if it were needed.

After about a year of complaining to the uppers, I was finally able to convince them it was time to upgrade. 2016 may not be the newest but it is MUCH newer than what we were running. Windows Server is being used across 3 clients that I manage. It is primarily being used as a Domain Controller (with Active Directory), DNS server and file server. In addition, some clients are using the Hyper-V functionality built directly into Windows Server to create a virtual domain controller.

In the organization that I manage that are using Windows Server, All business computers are apart of the Domain created by Windows Server and users are authenticated against the Active Directory.

Color me impressed. I guess that’s probably been made much easier over the many years of dealing with other software distributors. Trusted Tech Team is just on a whole different level. You get what you expect and then a lot more.

They care for their customer and it really shines through.

The description of how many cores I needed was very unclear for me. I called in HOT, but was instantly calmed by Johnny. Microsoft, apparently, likes to make things super difficult and over complicated.
