20 Best Ww Protein Bars (2022 Updated)

First off I want to say I LOVED the original formula. It sucks that it takes a product change to bring me to a review. But it is what it is. I loved the original formula of the protein bars. But this new “ softer “ formula is terrible.

People would talk about microwaving the old formula ones for a softer warm treat. So I am guessing quest thought “ hey , let’s just make them mushy “. But that’s nonsense. I live in a hot and humid climate that goes almost year round.

These new softer ones can not hold up. It’s cookie dough bubble gum by the time I reach for one. I was good for 12-15 bars a week as I always keep extra on the boat for clients or extras for friends on land.

People used to ask info about them after exposing them to the bars for the first time. But that’s no longer happening as of the last 3 weeks. Hopefully you guys fix this. I’ve even tried freezing them and putting them in the cooler but they still get soft so fast.

I’ve been a huge consumer and fan of the Quest protein bars for years, but the recent change in the formula that took place sometime in 2022 made the bars WAY too soft and are even smaller now. The original formula was a perfect balance between firm and soft.

New formula is too soft and chewy and even sticks to the wrapper much more when opening now. This is across board for ALL flavors. Quest, I see a lot of complaints about this change not only here but on Amazon, Reddit and other sites.

Unfortunately it took a major complaint for me to submit a review, also after reading many other complaints about this. Quest, PLEASE listen to your customers. The bars WERE perfect. I can’t buy these any more now.

Let’s see if Quest responds.

Very like a candy bar. There was a bit of a different taste, almost a bit bitter. The texture was good. And they were chewy, and a person with dentures would be able to eat them easily.

These are my favorite protein packed snack. Great taste and satisfies my sweet tooth! Quick shipping and carefully packaged!

Love these bars. They are actually preferable to regular candy for me. Cannot say enough about how good they are.

So I’m type 2 diabetic and WOW!! I absolutely LOVE this protein bar more than any other out there. I actually found a box in an elevator at a hotel and figured I try it. Boom!! AMAZING especially helps my blood sugar come down when too high.

Love it! I live in Canada and fell in love with your protein bars as I’m a personal trainer and need extra protein some days. The taste is amazing and the protein doesn’t bother my stomach. Wish I could buy them here but I know enough people traveling to the US that I can keep up my supply.

Got these as a substitute for the Sweet & Salty Dark Chocolate bars (which are also yummy themselves). But these protein bars were even better than those! I agree with another reviewer – it’s better than eating chocolate – so yummy! I like the fact that there are crunchy peanuts but the bars on a whole are soft enough on your teeth as I struggle with dental pain but can still eat these! On top of that I didn’t realise they were packed with 10.

2g protein! Great for vegetarians/vegans who can lack protein in their diet as well as for gym junkies. For that reason I also understand the price making it 72. 5p per bar – still not bad when they’re so tasty and packed full of good things.

Would recommend and buy again.

They are naturally flavored and are only 190 calories. They have 10g of protein and only 7g of total sugars. For a healthy snack these bars are absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a great snack that is actually good for them.

I didn’t love the taste and texture of these bars. They had a jelly-like consistency. I guess I’m not used to that in a protein bar. They didn’t taste terrible, but definitely didn’t taste like cookies and cream.

I like the nutrition facts on them though and my boyfriend likes them so I will probably purchase again.

I purchased the cookies and cream and the peanut butter brownie bars. Both are really good, with the cookies and cream being my favourite so far. They’re tasty with lots of protein and not a lot of calories, chewy with a nice chocolate coating, and easy to grab on the go.

Definitely my go to bar, and I’m looking forward to trying more flavours!!.

This is one of the worst tasting protein bars I have tried. I read all of the reviews before purchasing as I saw a referral for these but wanted to make sure that the reviews were good. I don’t usually purchase a box without first trying a bar.

When I opened the bar I knew I wasn’t going to like it and then once I tasted it I was still disappointed. I didn’t like the texture or the taste. I bought the double chocolate.

I was really excited to try this mainly because it was birthday cake flavour. I haven’t tried many supplements or protein products at all really so I’d say I’m pretty new to the whole supplement world.

This bar actually looked like the bar on the packaging. I unfortunately don’t have a photo of the actual product because I ate it at night in the car on the way home. What I noticed first was how soft the bar is.

It was easy to break apart, wasn’t crumbly at all. My first bite I didn’t care for because it had a weird fruity taste that my boyfriend thought tasted like Frootloops due to the colorful “sprinkles” on top.

As I kept eating the bar the more I enjoyed it. The texture was great. It wasn’t grainy at all and it was soft and chewy. I’d compare the texture to a Mars bar or a Charleston Chew. The more I ate the more I thought it tasted more like “cake”.

However, I noticed the cake taste the most in the after taste. Otherwise it tastes good and isn’t overly sweet. My boyfriend and I both thought that you couldn’t taste any of the protein either which is nice.

These bars retail for around $4 per bar which is fairly pricey in my opinion. I think they make a nice treat post workout, during a hike, or as a snack boost.

My usual protein bar has not been available in my area so I was on the hunt for something comparable. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting to like this for no particular reason other than I’m super picky when it comes to protein bars but I was pleasantly surprised! This has great flavor and doesn’t feel like you’re skimping on taste or enjoyment.

It is soft on the inside and slightly chewy (almost like a brownie consistency). It’s made with whey protein so it’s gluten free, only 190 calories, 16g of protein and only 3g of sugar! I use this as my breakfast or lunch and I am completely satisfied as far as feeling satiated and not still hungry.

I can’t speak to the other flavors but the mint chocolate chip is really good! I purchased this from my local Dollar General so definitely on par with being budget-friendly. It’s also super convenient to take for travel or keep in your workspace.

FITCRUNCH Snack Bars are delicious and healthy too. Each bar is only 190 calories with 16 grams of protein and only 14 carbohydrates. These bars are also gluten free. I tried the Mint Chocolate Chip bars and with my first bite I said OMG these are really good.

I have always been a bit skeptical with snack bars because the ones I have tried either taste dry and tasteless or they are very high in carbohydrates which trigger your appetite in a short while to went something more to eat.

I found after eating one FITCRUNCH bar I could go hours without thinking for craving a snack. These snack bars would work well with a low carb diet or even a keto diet. They are tasty and I will say they fill you up so you are not interested in eating the whole box because they taste delicious! Chef Robert Irvine, who I have seen on different food network shows developed these FITCRUNCH Bars which he states on the box “I want to empower people, through food and fitness, to thrive each day.

” I think his FITCRUNCH Bars will do just that. I got some for my niece who is attending college to carry in her back pack for a healthy snack between classes when she doesn’t have time to eat. She was wowed by the taste of the FITCHRUNCH Bars too! There are 9 bars in each box so they should last a week or longer for most people.

So take it from a skeptic these FITCRUNCH Bars are good and healthy too!.

I used to love these bars over ten years ago, but they don’t seem to taste the same as I remember. What I hate about all clif bars now is that they put inulin aka chicory root fiber in them now, which turns my digestive system into an over inflated balloon that constantly needs to depressurize every ten minutes or so.

They say your body gets used to inulin over time, but not so. In the past five years or so, a lot of our family’s favorite snack foods (granola, cereal, bars, even bread) have switched to including this awful fiber in their ingredients list.

The only time I can now eat any clif bar, the Builders included, is in the morning on an empty stomach and wait to eat later in the morning when my stomach growls. Even then it is not guaranteed that I won’t have problems.

Clif bar used to use oat fiber which in my opinion is a more “natural” fiber. I wish there was some grass roots movement to ban this awful fiber from sneaking into our foods. The stuff makes you feel miserable most of the day after you have started digesting it, but that issue is never discussed because it is “beneficial” to the body in so many other ways.

But if I’m not feeling good in my gut, I don’t care what good the fiber does in other areas. No wonder there is so much more IBS and other variations out there, I started to think that’s what my problem was, until I started doing a little of my own research regarding this so called “beneficial” fiber.

Take it out!.

This bar has done wonders for me. It really has taught me everything I need to know about intimacy. The bar has made me realize that life is short and that you need to take your shot as soon as you can no matter what! The bar has also taught me how it feels to be in love with gland play! It showed me what true pleasure feels like.

It made me understand that it takes more than one bar to achieve complete satisfaction during a nightly riding session on my living room chair as the bar is upright entering me oh so magically. Overall a fantastic bar that knows how to do everything your lover can’t.

Beat tasting protein bar I’ve tasted tastes like a chocolate bar but with all the protein needed for a snack. Passed out a number of bars to gym beasts and totally agree with my statement and they will be purchasing some ASAP.

Highly recommend these bars and I WILL be ordering more, lots more. Another great product from warrior.

First time I’ve had these bars and found them very tasty. High protein, low sugar bars , quite chewy but that’s what I prefer anyway. Will definitely be buying these again, good value for money.

I started using bars and shakes as my meal replacement for breakfast and lunch then a healthy dinner…I AM DOWN 5 lbs and feeling great! These are also perfect for a treat when everyone around you is eating sugary treats.

These bars are so unexpectedly delicious. They have the ability to remind u of a Chocolate bar but without the guilt and Calories! It’s a 4:00 break from the day. It’s filled with nutty flavors and a chocolate yummy chocolate.

Of course it’s a protein bar but u can dream with this one!.

First off, I will say that I am dairy free and gluten free and avoid soy, so I have a reasonable expectation for these type of products. I also reguarly use erythritol and stevia, so I am used to their after taste.

(If you can eat whey protein, do not waste your time or money on vegan bars!) Moving forward with this in mind, this isn’t the worst vegan bar I have tasted but it by far isnt the best. The texture is a little more dry than most vegan bars but I would say it includes the typical grittiness.

The sweetness is at an okay level, but you can definitely tell they used stevia. Lastly, the flavor is off. I didn’t expect birthday cake flavor, but the best way I can describe it is very much like vegan vanilla protein shake with very minimal vanilla flavor and a whole lot of earthy flavor.

I honestly can only stomach about half the bar at a time with a cup of coffee to help wash it down. Nutrition wise – it is excellent which is why I went ahead and tried it, knowing this disappointment may happen.

The flavor and texture were so far off my liking I don’t think I will try different flavor. They are pricey enough and nutritious enough that I will force myself to eat them until the box is gone, but I will not be buying again.

Delicious. Tastes just like a candy bar or a dessert. Only piece of advice I have about this product is to order the insulated packaging. I ordered five boxes of these bars and they all had melted at some point along their journey.

Still edible and still delicious, but just a bits sticky and messy. I keep them in the refridgerator and they are a nice cool treat! I highly recommend ordering these bars.

Oh my, I don’t want to give these 5 stars…. I want to keep them my secret …. yep, they are that good, and I don’t want them to sell out on me!! The bar is just the right portion size. The taste in so smooth and flavorful.

This is a Gluten-free, NON GMO, Vegan, Plant based protein bar… which keeps me full and satisfy my chocolate cravings. It has only 1g of suger 👍🏻 which is great. It’s very light weight to carry in bag… never melts or loses shape….

I like that each bar has 12 grams of protein, 8 grams of fiber, and only 1 gram of sugar and there’s 4 bars in a box. They’re also plant-based and NON GMO. It has a nice texture, not too hard and it’s not too chewy.

On the front of the box it shows a chocolate and peanut butter cookie letting you know what flavor it was (it does not taste like a cookie though). The box is very eye-catching and grabs your attention.

These are great for a quick snack, meal replacement or to eat before or after working out. They’re also great to take on-the-go. Unfortunately this product is not sold everywhere I shop, I was only able to find it at 1 store, Target.

I saw the other flavors on the shelf and can’t wait to try those.

I’ve had a few of these from my local store a few times. I have to say the chocolate peanut butter is my favorite, but this bar is SOLID!! For the macros, the flavor is outstanding. I’ve always been a carrot cake lover myself, but I love that this actually brings the cinnamon and spice to the table.

I can actually taste a spice in it! Amazing!!!!!! I do wish One would make a variety pack for their plant based bars. I want to try them all!.

Both these flavors are great, but the cookies & cream is one of my favorites. I love that these protein bars are so low in sugar, and I love the chewy texture along with the crunchy inclusions. BUT they use erythritol which may cause gas in some people (I’m people), so I don’t eat more than 1 a day.

It’s probably more efficient to get dietary protein from a variety of sources anyway. This bar also uses whey, so it may not be suitable for people who get skin breakouts from whey, people who can’t eat dairy, and people on a plant-based diet.

Do not buy these. Buy the ones you know you like even if they cost more. In fact, buy extra boxes of what you like so you dont run out and have to buy these when your favorite is out of stock. Should that happen, you are better off just eating a can of tuna.

Even if you hate tuna. These are horrible. One can tolerate how they chew, and even the way they kind of stick to your teeth, but oh the taste. No. No. No. These get a high score for “icky protein bar after taste”.

I generally stick with more natural flavors, like peanut butter and chocolate, but I had no choice, Sam’s was out of both of my first two favorite bars (THiNK and premier large bar). And they are not cheap.

Sam’s Clubbers dont let other Sam’s Clubbers buy these. Heed the warning.

Not a fan of either of these flavors. Why not carry a variety for your customers and give them more to choose from. Like the flavor birthday cake! Peanut butter! Brownie and the blueberry. The problem with the variety box is not everyone likes both of those flavors.

Quest has the most protein. low cal. low sugar and is such a great choice keto friendly. We also need to see more choices in your eau claire store. This is disappointing for those of us that love these bars but do not like the only choice you have and it’s only online.

This bar has a really nice salted caramel flavor not so much white chocolate or peanuts but you do get a few crunchy bits of crushed peanuts on top. The white chocolate coating is super thin. The protein taste is minimal but you do get somewhat of an artificial aftertaste rapidly.

The texture is chewy, not too firm, a bit soft. The protein base has a few caramelized bits in it. Overall it’s a great tasting protein bar but I prefer Grenade’s version of this flavor.

Okay, i’m a woman who hates meat and lentils but once I started lifting I had to get really intentional about eating enough protein. If you’re looking for a sweeter protein bar, that’s more similar to a baked good/candy, this is the ultimate (Their hazelnut + nugat is also legitimately like eating a snickers).

It also has a bit more protein than a lot of bars, at 20g / bar, and only 200 calories. Many people may not look out for this, but i also try to avoid palm oil. it’s an unsustainable product and is destroying the rainforest, but you’ll find it in tons of sweets.

so i love that barebells are palm oil free, too.

Ranked best to worst of flavors I’ve tried (even though really, they’re all good) 1. caramel cashew 2. white chocolate almond 3. salty peanut 4. hazelnut nougat 5. cookies and cream super surprised cookies and cream wasn’t number one, but still good.

macros are decent (let me know if you find anything close to fairlife milk 30g of protein for 150 cals), and they’re the most filling of many protein bars I’ve tried. Still searching, but these are best overall for me considering flavor, macros, and cals.

Been ordering from Tropeaka for over a year now and living in the UK doesn’t make it cheap or easy to purchase, but that’s how much I love the products! They’re organic, the ingredients are natural, no added fillers or preservatives, very low in sugar with a natural healthy sweetener alternative.

They taste so good, unlike other brands that can taste artificial and super sweet. My favourites are Lean Protein, Fit Protein and the Protein Energy Bars!! Cant recommend enough 🙌🏻.

I’m not a huge protein bar fan, but I will say if you are into them you should try this one. I like the chocolate better than the peanut butter (I’m normally a peanut butter all the way gal) so I was surprised.

These taste better than your average protein bar on the shelf. Like others have said this one does taste a little like a brownie. I just don’t gravitate towards bars as much as I thought I would. That’s not to say that these are bad, it’s just a personal preference.

They sell these as singles if you just want a sample instead of buying a whole box.

Absolutely love love love this combination of chocmint! My friend and Personal Trainer Penny Barnshaw from Garage Fitness Girl recommended I give it a go and I loved it! No artificial or chemical aftertaste.

Love it cold from the fridge 😋 or crumbled into protein yogurt! Yum!.
