Amazing quality from Thrustmaster. A serious must have for those of us who are avid MSFS2020 players. Despite being branded for the airbus, this add on has come in handy for many aircraft I’ve flown.

It makes finding switches easy and comfortable. These units are hard to come by and usually twice the price. So grab this bargain from a fantastic retailer at SCAN. I ordered mine late one evening and they still picked, packed and shipped the item to me next day.

Bought these to add on to the other parts of the TCA Thrustmaster quadrant items to make it a Captains edition. Very pleased with the quality of the product and the fact that with MSFS everything was already set up, literally plug and play.

Xplane depends on the developer. I do recommend this product if you like to fly the bus and want a little more immersion.

Were there force feedback features, would be a near perfect one. I haven’t used it for very long until now so I can’t comment on its durability over a long period of time, which is in fact relevant to many of the products in this market.

The yoke is fairly simple to use and its manual is useful but not very necessary. The great amount of thought put into this product is evident, in terms of the attachment mechanism (which is made to suit wooden surfaces by clamp or glass surfaces by a surprisingly strong suction plate), button placement, structural design (which makes the yoke very comfortable to hold) and material usage (also contributes to comfort).

The motion range is indeed 180 for ailerons and the longitudinal motion range is in total about 8 cm forward and aft by my own measurement, which is proper. The clamp itself should have been a bit bigger in size, it was in fact just a milimeter short of matching the thickness of my own wooden desk.

Still, were it greatly bigger it would keep bumping into your legs (especially if you’re using rudder pedals. In terms of leg space from the clamp I do find it somewhat problematic to try and use the clamp while sitting in a height such that my elbows are at 90 while holding the yoke at a centered position, and with rudder pedals – and I’m not sure if the problem is in the chair height, and still it’s not really annoying.

Works smoothly with MSFS 2020, I didn’t encounter any issues there.

Anyone familar with this simulation will tell you it’s one of the very best ever made. If you like animation (comic book style) then you’ll love CFS2:WW2 Pacific Theater. My favorite part is landing on an aircraft carrier after taking off from an aircraft carrier.

It takes skill and careful attention or you’ll crash and burn. I’ll have this up for sale in a few weeks. It was great fun to play. now it’s time to let someone else enjoy it.

Used this CFS years ago and lost the programme. Decided to complete my CFS collection and bought another copy! It works fine on Windows 8. 1 and is as good as I remember. A little bit sensitive to set up but well worth the effort.

This is a challenging game. This is a FLIGHT SIMULATOR with world war 2 aircrafts and some korean war fighter jets. You have to fly into combat and survive, it is not about winning. WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING It will only work on WINDOWS XP or earlier.

Comparing this to MS Train Simulator, the quality is competitive. The actual play varies with the hardware of the machine used. Compared to today’s modern games, the graphics are not as detailed. Looks like Open GL.

I have a Novalogic game that has better graphics and is of the same time of origin. Overall, it is what it is.

I have always enjoyed the MSCFS. My original disk got cracked during a move so I ordered a new one. Even though this is an old version, the graphics are still good and flying is fairly easy so you can concentrate on the air battling.

The sound is nice too, adding to the realism.

This exciting simulator enthrals me for hours. I can actually pilot a choice of realistic aircraft (fly in real time) to airports in any country of the world! FSX has a feature to record and re-play the last minutes of my flights (including landings) from many different camera angles.

Sometimes, when flying I keep open a map-window that shows the location my plane (in real-time) in relation to the ground. While I am ‘sitting’ in the cockpit, FSX also allows me to change my eye-point and move the direction of view from left to right and up or down, simply by operating the directional, hat-switch or button (on joystick) during flight.

This allows me to ‘look’ out of the cockpit window at nearby airports and landmarks as they pass by underneath. The huge range of free, add-on aircraft and scenery for FSX makes this flight simulator the best value for my Windows 10 computer, compared with all other flight simulators.

This is still true even when other Flight Sims have better graphics and resolution than FSX. Also, I have bought and installed various ORBX airports to make the buildings and scenery of those airports more realistic than the default ones on FSX.

I have also purchased some, excellent extra aeroplanes made by JustFlight. Also, I have downloaded many extra (free) aeroplanesfrom fly-away-simulation web site. their range of free add-ons for FSX Flight Simulator is enormous! Given that it is a 2008 version of Microsofts Flight Simulator, the FSX Gold edition has enormous computer-speed benefits compared with the regular, FSX Deluxe version.

I recommend that for modern computers (10 years old and later), that it is much better to install the updated, FSX ‘Gold’ version rather than the regular, ‘Deluxe’ version, because of the massive improvements.

The Gold version does not just include extra features and enhancements, but it is actually Microsofts official update that includes service packs that fix various software-bugs and design flaws that existed in the older, deluxe version.

The flight simulator it said will be working on multiple platforms. I tried W10 and XP. W10. It is working however from the begining you will have a feeling that not all functions works. And it is true.

Struggle to find how to start the game and throughout the game some features not accessible. However once installed on XP which I bought on eBay refurbished just for gaming, works well. Only changes are views through the windows.

Missing the view from position as your head and yourself would be seating on the pilot seat. You get very narrow picture on screen. So you constantly manipulating with controls to get view on something which in normal flight you would have.

So once you took off you would not be concentrated on only dashboard separately or on windows but you should get both. In simulator it seems like you not given that flexibility. Although in W10 this option seems better.

XP gives you feeling like you short sited. Controls are a discovery. Probably as in all games. I do not paly much so may be is normal. But many functions you have to find before take off. Confusing that it depend on the plane you select.

But I think the whole simulator is a game and for some probably that is the most interesting part. My expectations as I have gliding experience were more concentrated on flight rather than looking for buttons functions to discover.

Again something with tutorials not right. Not user friendly at all. No arrows pointing to the right functions if you struggle. And explanations where the exercise start and how to return not really there.

So all in all – it is a game. Do not regret buying.

FSX needs a fast CPU, it’s a 32bit program (old) and it won’t allow full use of CPUs cores and high RAM. Graphics are decent. For better graphics, don’t waste time and money with free add ons. Just get ORBX global and ORBX Vector and you’ll be set with a new better looking simulator.

A 5i or higher will do decent, but will never allow highest settings without serious FPS drop. ORBX has much better landclass, better scenery buildings, trees, etc. Accelerator version needs better computer hardware, do it’s not for everyone.

FSX is not like a regular computer game where you go walk, drive or fly in a set world or area. And that makes it CPU, RAM, and Graphics Card with more than 1GB memory intensive. With flying peripherals, it taxes your computer more.

Nevertheless, it’s worth it. FSX20 us coming out. Check it out.

Bought this recently when I discovered I needed it installed in order to use 3rd party add-ons. Wow, should have gotten this a long time ago. Have only tried a few of the additional aircraft/missions, but they are really good.

No issues with installation [Win7 Home Premium, 7th Gen Core i7]. Recommended.

My six year old son is all about airplanes, so this is excellent for him. He enjoys it allot. I spent some 14 hours and three days how ever trying to activate the product in order to use it. Microsoft tech support was helpfull and available and to there credit.

This was a challenge to get the application to work in windows 7. We are talking command prompts and switches as well as four uninstall and re install as well as allot of time online discerning the articles in Microsofts extensive online forums.

The activation process is what prevents me from giving FSX Acceleration an excellent five star rating. The simulator is excellent and all in all worth the expense and time spent installing the product.

Have: MSI Board with i5 3. 3GHz;8G Ram; SDD; Nvidia Geforce GTX650; 750Watts PS; 27″ Led Lcd Viewsonic; Windows 7. Graphics are terrible; Missions are horrible; I should have known buying an old game for $9 would be worth $9 of everything.

I play MSFS X and I’m spoiled with the details in the graphics for the scenery and the planes. Of course, FSX is not combat, but there are other combat games out there much better. I was hoping my PC would help the game as I have installed older simulation racing or boat games and they have improved in everything, but not this ugly game.

Even MSFS2004 looks much much better and I think this game came out approximately at the same time or a little earlier. Bottom line: Don’t waste your little money on this game.

As stated in the title, the game works on windows XP, Vista, and 7. This blast from the past (2002) takes you back in time to the air war over Europe during WWII. Although graphically dated (fixed through fan-made mods), the gameplay is where it counts, and this old workhorse has it in spades.

It includes a dynamic campaign, lots of planes, and one-off quick missions to choose from. It makes a great compliment to Microsoft Flight Simulator X and/or 2004, You know, For those times when you just want to shoot stuff.

I recommend hunting down a U. K. DVD version, because it does not require the disc to be in the drive to run the program, as in the standard CD-ROM edition. Don’t forget to download the 3. 1 patch as well, it can be found easily through a quick google search.

Microsoft really needs to think about reviving this series, It was so epic. Anyways, I hope my little review helps anyone else looking for info on this title. :).

A good step up from using just a wheel stand, and desk clamps for HOTAS/Throttle. Would have been nice to have the ability to lean the seat back more as I use a VR headset with a strap that protrudes out which hits the headrest (feels like wearing a helmet) Construction is pretty solid, slight difficulty putting together as some parts have tight tolerance.

Very little play with connected wheel (G27) little play with HOTAS/Throttle. Pedals are solid. Doesn’t fold as compact as I’d like but there’s only so much it can fold I guess.

B&H service was very god as usual. I chose this product because it is portable and it can be used for flight or race. I have just tried it for car racing for now. The product itself is very good and more solid than I expected for a lite version.

The only complain is about the assembly. Not complicated but the paper manual is not very intuitive. There was a YouTube video but this is not my thing.

A superb stick purchased with the Warthog throttles to fly F18, F16 and Warthog in DCS world. It is a very heavy unit and has a silky smooth movement with quite a lot of resistance. Because it uses magnets to return to centre you are stuck with the resistance since their are no springs to change! Also note that this stick does not have a twist rudder feature.

If I want a rudder I’ll have to fork out for pedals. BUT modern military aircraft tend not to need rudder input for normal flight manouevres and I have allocated a HAT switch on the throttles for basic rudder during take off etc.

All switches and hats appear to be strongly built but only time will tell with these regarding reliability. I paid well over the odds for the seperate stick and throttles since I was unable to find the two bundled together without a 6 week wait.

Two days after they arrived the UK thrustmaster site was offering the bundle again! Having said that they are still just about worth the extra providing they prove as robust as they look and feel. As a bundle for £400 I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend! A friend has just got the Logitec x56 pair for £215 and after 2 weeks a hat switch is failing and the rudder twist judders so – apparently £215 isn’t enough to buy you reliability! Hopefully £400 – £500 is.

The Thrustmaster Warthog flight stick is a solidly made stick, nearly all metal – even the 2 stage trigger. Every button has a different tactile feel and feels absolutely premium. The stick can detatch from the base – allowing for an alternate stick to be used.

Overall weight is very heavy – there’s very little chance this is moving about while in use – even when not bolted down, which is an option. TARGET software didn’t play too well with my T16000m and Warthog HOSAS combo – so using JoyToKey instead.

Accuracy is great and the stick is solid enough to sit firmly centred with zero wobble so only a tiny deadzone is required depending on how steady handed you are. Downsides: No twist or analog thumbstick – you may need either rudder pedals or a second stick / throttle with analog twist, stick or paddles.

This joystick is built like a Mack Truck and should hold up. However, the software used to make it work is dated and not as intuitive as it could be. Hell, for the cost it should just automatically hook up.

Another issue I don’t like is the stick has an ever so slight twist to it. It’s NOT a twist stick (for rudder control) but it does twist somewhat which is irritating for the amount spent on this controller.

I am very skeptical of games that claim to be an aircraft simulation. Blazing Angels is somewhat entertaining and provides some information to WWII from an American pilot’s standpoint. Some historical facts, but definitely not a history tutorial.

The sixaxis motion control is very refreshing to the typical console game-based flight “simulation” game. Sony definitely dropped the ball when removing the rumble feedback in the controller. This was a major loss in my opinion.

The wireless/bluetooth feature is nice, however. The storyline of Blazing Angels keeps you going and will engulf you into the feeling of an American pilot in WWII, but this is quickly watered-down when the action begins.

The game is exactly that – a game. This is not realistic in physics based aircraft motion – it’s better than nothing, but not close to the real thing at all. The controller does help out in trying to pull you into the game and the fast-paced action of piloting some of the finest aircraft ever developed – even in today’s high-tech jet world.

This game is great if you just want to turn on the PS3, jump into the action and play a flight game, shoot down some bad guys, and then turn it off to interact with the real world. But to REALLY get into the feel of flight simulation, a PC-based flight simulator game is best.

With that, you have more control over the aircraft, its systems, and a slew of weapons. Real weapons aren’t fired or released with one push of a button, by the way. An offshoot of Jane’s All the World Aircraft had a company (it’s no longer) that produced some of the most realistic and stunningly graphical simulator games.

I guess that was too much for today’s gamer that wants to just play an arcade game. Online play is better than most games, but the interface really needs some work. Searching for others to play can be frustrating, but it can be done.

Once in a game, whether it’s a versus or a co-op game, it is fun. The many different types of games in the online play is a bit much, but it does provide choices for different types of gamers. So, if you like arcade flight games, then this is the game for you.

You’ll love the sixaxis controller and the graphics of this game. If you’re into realism and the true feeling of flight, then this is not for you. I rate this game BELOW AVERAGE because I expect realism in a flight game.

This game just skirts above the POOR rating because some of the online play is fun. Playing against other real people online is always more fun than playing the main game by yourself.

The first thing that players will notice about Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII is that you wont be flying solo, ripping through gads of enemies like some airborne Rambo. On the contrary, youll have a strong support system in the air, thus the word squadron in the title.

Youll be flanked by a few friendly A. I. journeymen can be given direct orders. The wingmen in Blazing Angels have three basic functions: to protect, to fight, and to heal. Each wingman is better at one task than the others, but each can perform every command available in your repertoire.

Tom is the protector of the squadron, and therefore always stays within view of your bird. Frank is the closest thing to a one-man-wrecking-crew of the bunch, treating any attacker that is thrown his way with extreme prejudice.

Last but not least is Joe, who plays the role of air medic in Blazing Angels. He doesnt do much, other than fix your plane in mid-air, which is no small feat. When Joes wrench icon is lit, you can summon him to repair everything from a ruptured fuel line to a faulty rudder.

Fixing your plane is as easy as calling Joe, then entering simple face button commands as they appear on the screen. Your success in entering this combo determines just how healed your bird becomes. Nail the combo and your plane will go from burning heap to sleek killer in no time.

The control scheme takes the tedium out of non-flight stick games involving dogfighting. While an argument could be made for having a cockpit view in Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII, the Follow Cam pretty much satisfies without having to go completely first-person.

With the Follow Camera, gamers can look as if they were in first-person mode, while still having a large view of the atmospheric real estate. The only downfall of the Follow Cam is that sometimes it can be overused.

Were creatures of habit, so there are instances when the normal view would suffice, but the mind says pull that left trigger. Once you learn to balance your time between the Follow Cam and the normal cam, the fun truly begins.

I really like this game, it’s fun and addicting. The best thing about it in my opinion is that you can use the nunchuck as your “stick” and fly the planes that way. There are challenging levels and the game allows for varied missions with both air to air, air to ground and, air-sea combat scenarios.

There are additional modes of play that I really haven’t tried out since I am still playing the “campaign mode. ” These include multiplayer, mini campaigns, arcade and ace duel modes. Things that will be frustrating to the first time user: 1.

The “stick” can get “stuck. ” In other words the wii may lose track of the nunchuck’s orientation in space. If you’re in the middle of combat in a roll or a loop this can be really annoying since the story ends up with your plane head first into the ground or whatever may be lurking around.

Beginners will have to put up with this until they master realizing the situation and adjusting. it takes practice. 2. One mission seems impossible to complete. I must have played the same mission fourty times.

Each time I succesfully landed the plane in the midst of obstacles and enemy fire only to wait at the objective without triggering the waypoint. As I’d drive around to try to trigger it I would inevitably die.

Not sure if this is a glitch or if I was proceding incorrectly. either way it was highly frustrating. Aside from those two gripes I love the game. It takes some practice to get good at, but it is a lot of fun.

It’s also neat to try the different missions with different planes. Par for the wii the graphics are not super but you won’t be paying any attention to them as you focus in on German, and Japanese flyboys.

Looking to control a game like Star Citizen or Elite Dangerous? This sick has you covered. Plenty of controls at your fingertips even before you get to assigning the switches on the throttle base. While plastic, it doesn’t feel cheap or wimpy, and gives a feeling on confidence from the setup.

While I would personally have made a few design changes to this product, there are plenty of buttons to map, and it works very well for 6DOF sims like Elite Dangerous. Criticisms: The throttle stick is short and some of the switches are hard to access while the throttle is in certain positions.

The thumb joystick and cluster of hat switches is smaller than I expected and it’s a tight area to use, particularly at 0 or 100 percent throttle. Be aware the yaw stiffness can not be adjusted with springs.

Most of the issues are ergonomic annoyances, but worth being aware of. Even with adjustments, the throttle starts out a bit too stiff. It can be corrected by removing some of the grease from inside to make it less stiff.

(There are no sticker-obscured screws) I had to use Velcro on the base to keep it from tipping during enthusiastic maneuvering. Just, don’t use industrial Velcro like I did. A few small contact dots will suffice and keep it steady.

Or, even better, get a chair mount setup and enjoy the mounting holes. It is certainly an upgrade from my X52, but the ergonomics are not as well designed. If you’re considering this, I do recommend it.

Just be aware of the criticisms outlined above.

Formerly a Saitek product, but bought out by logitech. Since the buyout/takeover, the manufacturing process has not changed. There are still significant issues with this product. And has been the 3rd Product to fail in very short order.

issues: 1) tension screw (on throttle) does not always stay in it’s set position, or is jammed in position prior to purchase, and is very difficult to unjam unless you take the unit apart (which voids the warranty) (throttle always either really stiff or really loose) 2.

) Inside the yoke handle – the aluminum tube, for the bundled wires, cuts through wiring insulation, and sometimes the wiring, because the tube is not sanded down, is not flanged, is not flared, is not rolled, or is not capped at the ends.

(mine only lasted 2 weeks with heavy use) which causes shorts, ghosting, and eventually non-functionality. 3. ) throttle wiring is too stiff and too thick. which causes the soldered connections to break loose in short period of time, with heavy use.

4. ) hat switches both on throttle and yoke. directional pads/sensors do no last long with heavy use. (springs inside the direction buttons become compressed enough to not open/close/reset their intended circuit.

5. ) USB. Cannot have both the throttle and Yoke plugged into the same USB root. (which causes ghost presses) For me I have had to have one unit plugged into USB 2. x and the other plugged into USB 3.

x to get them to function without ghost presses, feedback, or drifting. But still have to constantly reset or recalibrate, regardless.

On the surface this thing seems really cool, lots of buttons, split throttle, comfortable to use but unfortunately the build quality is terrible for the price and the centering on the stick is hot garbage.

The first one that I got I had to send back after a month when all of the buttons on the stick died. Additionally, the lower rotary on the throttle grip wouldn’t move past the half way point, I didn’t realize that was the case until I got the second one.

I’ve been using this one for the past 3 months or so so by now it is well out of warranty and the x axis on the joystick just died. Finally even with these longevity issues aside, The centering on the stick is one of the worst I’ve ever felt.

Between the loose tolerances and already poor design about the center 5 degrees of travel in any direction are pure mush, this makes it impossible to trim out aircraft precisely because if you bump the stick at all it won’t move back to where you trimmed it to.

Its honestly really sad because the throttle is actually really good and having that thing paired up with ANY OTHER JOYSTICK would be a really killer setup but unfortunately Logitech won’t sell them separately.

Such a shame, steer clear.
