Don’t be scared from negative reviews of this item. It’s not perfect out of the box but I’ve never had any hardware work right out of the box. You will need to do adjustments but that’s not on thrustmaster, that is on the software developers.

I mainly use Xplane only right now First out of the box for Xplane 1. Update firmware from Thrustmaster 2. Update The planes that you’ll be intending to use. Toliss, Jar Designs and Flight Factor. 3.

Go into your settings in main menu of the sim. Then go to to joystick and select your Quadrant. Then you’ll see add curve for each throttle 1 and 2. Click that and at the bottom of the new screen you’ll see a check box that says beta/Has reverse detent click that and then save.

That is so the simulator will know that you have a quadrant that has reverse detent. 4. Read the planes new manual. They have added help for setting up this quadrant as well as quick keys for the buttons and switches on the quadrant to save you time looking forever for them.

5. Lastly go into the planes settings while in the sim and you’ll see on the joystick page Rev on same axis. If that is not selected the plane wont know you have a reverse detent and your idle will sit at 27% thrust Zibo works perfectly out of the box and switches work with some searching.

Need to do set up #3 above SSG 747 and E Jet series works perfectly out of the box but switches don’t work for engines but made hot keys for lights with the switches until a possible Plane update to use them.

Not thrustmasters fault they don’t work, its a software issue with the plane maker. Need to do set up #3 above Last word of advice you’ll need to make sperate joy stick profiles for each plane cause each plane is different software wise.

Save the time and just make one for each plane you use Yes it stinks having to set these up but it’s not the hardwares fault and yes you’ll still need to make adjustments but that’s the plane developers coding.

Also use the forums of your flight sim community. They will help you with any questions you have The side stick is amazing very well built and works perfectly but might need some minor adjustments in sensitivity in the main menu.

The swapable switches to allow left hand or right hand flying is great. I still stuck with right handed from many years of flying that way I highly recommend these items and can’t wait for the addons to finally be available for the quadrant.

The joystick is decent. Nothing blows me away but it works as advertised. The throttle quadrant however is what has really impressed me. By default the throttles have detents along their axes that mimic the detents found in the actual Airbus A320 throttle quadrant.

However what I really like is that if you’re flying a non-Airbus plane then the detents can be deactivated. In addition the throttle quadrant has reverse thrust triggers that mimic those found in the real aircraft.

Another bonus though is that these reverse triggers can very easily be ‘locked out’ to more accurately simulate aircraft that don’t have reverse thrust capability; twin pistons for example. Right out of the box the setup for MSFS2020 was extremely easy.

When flying the A320 it was simply plug and play. It did take a bit of remapping when I wanted to fly other aircraft though but it was still relatively straightforward. Overall, when you consider the price of other joysticks and throttles, the value you get with this combo is excellent.

I highly recommend it. I’ve been very pleased.

For the price I believe it doesn’t get any better than this. I’ve used it for the last two weeks on X-Plane 11 with the Toliss A319 and I had no problem so far. Configuration is easy (even though I use OSX) and the amount of available buttons at disposition almost guarantees you’ll have a terrific time flying.

I’m relatively new to the world of simulators, that’s reason why I don’t own rudder pedals yet, nonetheless the extra axis on the joystick allows me to control the rudder without complications and the TFRP port on the quadrant it’s a great gift from Thrustmaster if you already own pedals, as this gets rid of one extra cable to your computer.

So if you are new to flight sims as well, the officer pack is perfect for you as a beginner. So far, I haven’t found a negative aspect to the product. But I do consider important to mention that if you are an aviation enthusiast the level of immersion that this product gives is something totally worth the price.

I’m really looking forward to purchase the Quadrant Ad-ons as soon as they are available.

Bought on the recommendation of the FS2020 community. I had issues with my FS2020 load which made setting up the device at first very difficult. Once the problems were sorted it works as it should. I think the online comments about the fragility of the thrustmaster are ill founded, what it does, is first class.

The only objective comment I have is that for use in a A320 the gap between the idle and climb setting is too narrow. This will probably be designed as such for it to cater for other types of aircraft.

It is not supposed to be a replica of the real thing – it’s a Flight Sim add-on. And that is exactly what it is and now it works for me, I highly recommend it.

First the service from Scan, top notch and actually arrived 2 weeks earlier than given which was a nice surprise. I have taken a star away for the following reason. Once I’d setup the yoke and tested the movement back/forward I could detect and hear a slightly loud ‘clicking’ & feel a slight bit of resistance when pushing the yoke forward.

Something similar to how a spring would feel if it was clicking. This did not feel right and rather than use the yoke ‘not knowing’ and also having to go through the pain of returning it I decided to open it up to investigate.

Kudos to Honeycomb for at least making that easy. What I discovered was that from the rotary switch on the front panel there is a ribbon cable that subsequently attaches it to a bit of PCB towards the rear of the chassis.

This ribbon cable had not been secured properly and had drifted across to slightly contact the yoke mechanism when it was pushed forward. All it needed was to slightly tighten the cable-tie attaching the ribbon cable to its mounting and problem solved.

I’m glad I did this as it would surely have been A/ really annoying and B/ Would probably have broken the ribbon cable after repeated snags on the yoke, resulting in a certain RMA. Perhaps the rush to get these out resulted in the build being a little hurried , all good in the end though.

Aside from that initial disappointment I am extremely pleased with the functionality of the flight controls. There are so many different ways to configure it and the added control you get with the feel of the yoke plus the vast array of control options make it something that genuinely enhances my flight sim experience.

Also a plus is that there’s no power supply required, just needs a USB, I would like to be able to set the LED colour but they are not so bright that they’re a bother. I’ve had no ‘dead zone’ issues that some seem to have mentioned.

Value for money, a tricky one. In reality it’s a fairly simple device but I guess that’s also part of the value, I never find myself having to think when using it and flying has become second nature.

A real pleasure to use. 5 Stars for functionality 4 Stars for the QC issues 4. 5 Stars VFM.

Pros: Excellent handling. Beautiful in the ‘Flare’ with no balooning. The feel of the yoke is excellent too. It also rotates 90 degrees left and right! (“My CH Pro Yoke only rotates 45 degrees either side!”) The desk clamps are solid steel and not plastic! The cabinet itself is solid top quality.

Cons: The yoke ‘Pitch’ resistance is far too heavy. It’s what I would expect to find in something like a fully laden Lancaster Bomber. (“The pilot often got the engineer to help him pull back the yoke on takeoff!”) At the same time, the ‘Roll’ resistance is completely linear if any.

In the real aircraft as in Pitch, resistance should increase with application. Unless of course you are still on the ground!.

Compared with the entry level yokes from other suppliers, the mechanism on this yoke is smooth and precise. The turning angle is also more realistic going a full 180 degrees to the right and to the left.

Installation is easy, the manual explaining the installation is repetitive but clear. The anchoring mechanism is too good. Once clamped in place the yoke will not move. When the clamp is used with the sticky pad it becomes impossible to remove.

The switches are not as substantial as Logitech switches and their location is awkward and not realistic. The gimmicky LED lights are annoying. They can be turned off but come on everytime the simulator is restarted.

Never the less, the yoke is worth the money and it adds realism to the simulation.

Combat Flight Simulator II has it all. it can be mod-ed to the extreme. Include all the airports of Flight Sim 98, and the Planes of Combat Flight Sim 1. Indeed, landing and take off from the deck of a carrier is critical to replay the Doolittle missions.

Finally, land your PBR on the water. Create your own sceanrios. I made an “IronClad Mission”, Civil War boats. not even airplanes, works great. loads of fun. My old disks sustained damage, these are the replacements.

I caution that the game probably won’t work on anything newer than Windows XP.

I was told it would run on windows 10, it won’t. Got help from a tech kid, he tried everything he knew, called in some instructors, and they couldn’t get it to operate. Paid good money for a product that doesn’t work! I know it’s a good game.

I had it many years ago. I got this one for my grandson, after I told him what a fun game it is.

Won’t run on Windows 7 64-Bit. Need to research the problem. Won’t run in Windows XP (SP3) compatibility mode. I’ll find a machine that it will work on. I’m an IT Network Manager and have the resources to get this running.

I’ve had similar problems with PainKiller and System Schock 2.

Overall, 9/10 on design regarding its functionality as a joystick. Its biggest winner being the two mini sticks that are very ergonomically placed on the stick and throttle. 2/10 on durability; you should plan on some sort of issue arising withing the first month.

1) If I could give it five stars I would alas I cannot. 2 )First set the throttle lost all of is tension and wouldn’t stay up on its own in 2 weeks. Shortly thereafter the Yaw spring in the stick snapped.

3) second set the throttle just kinda. came off. after a week and a half. Afterwards I hooked up the stick to see its movement on TARGET and it was like ping pong. That being said. The design itself is outstanding and allows virtually unlimited possibility.

Put the throttle on the c stick on the throttle for all I care I’m not your dad. Enjoy!.

Recently picked these up with several friends, 5 of us total and a lot of star citizen hours. Overall it’s a decent unit. joystick tension is about average, enough to provide feedback, not too little that it feels like something you’d find in an arcade.

They sit on my desk pad and surprisingly stay stable. They come with suction cups for just a flat desk. Triggers are okay, buttons supply decent feedback. Really it’s a great starter set or for someone casually playing a flyer of some kind.

A solid Toyota Corolla/10 This was my one month review between friends, we’re all of the same mindset. Looking at upgrading probably within a year but got these to see if it’s something we’d care about.

Solid investment, especially since they were on sale for 100$.

The Logitech X52 is a fantastic mid-level HOTAS, at least from a hardware perspective. The joystick has minimal dead zone, and the array of buttons are (mostly) within easy reach for me (I’d say I have about average sized hands for a guy).

Everything feels very well put-together. However. The software is completely unintuitive for someone (like myself) who has never used a HOTAS before. Buttons are not labeled the same in the software as on the actual joystick, and they are often labeled differently in games than in the software.

This all assumes that you even manage to download the software. As of when I received my HOTAS, Logitech’s website only provided 32-bit software downloads, which refuse to install on 64-bit systems. I ended up having to find the download from a 3rd party site (same version #, just a 64-bit binary).

This side of the process could really be streamlined a lot. Overall, I’m thoroughly enjoying this HOTAS, though. It’s a dream in MS Flight Sim 2020, and good fun in Star Wars Squadrons. I’m looking forward to trying it in Elite: Dangerous soon.

Bought this since MicroCenter had this in stock in their store, along with the matching rudder pedals. The quality is quite good, being careful with yoke and pedals, should last several years. There are other yoke and pedal packages that may be higher quality, but also at higher cost.

I consider myself at the upper end of casual usage, and did not feel the need to spend more. Go to the Logitech site for the documentation for the *physical* set up of the yoke and pedals. For MS Flight Sim 2020, do NOT install any drivers for the yoke and pedals.

MS FS 2020 configures the yoke and pedals nearly perfectly. Just go into the MS FS 2020 config screen and fine tune to personal taste. For casual usage, this is a fine product that I do recommend.

The build quality is pretty cheap for the price. Though it has a steel rod for the yoke, it’s not really as smooth as i would expect, it’s a little grindy in a couple of places while pushing in. The yoke is wiggly , not fitted and restrained well in the housing.

The levers are worse, all plastic and quite ‘flexy’. There is no calibration option with this, so enjoy your drift. i guess. i spent several hours researching fixes on google an you tube, none worked.

I emailed their support and they pretty much said just get used to it. The fastening system is a plastic hand screw. it’s relatively stable, but again just feels cheap. Maybe i expect too much for 170 dollars, but this just isn’t worth it for the quality and performance.

Returned it after two days of trying to make it viable.

I purchased the Logitech Pro Yoke and Pedal bundle to replace the CH Products joystick, throttle and rudder pedals that I have been using for about 20 years. Besides being a long time sim pilot, I have been a licensed Private pilot for the past 18 years and own a Cessna 150.

My main complaint with the Logitech Pro Yoke and Pedals is with the way the Yoke and Pedals move and feel. The centering springs on both the Yoke and Pedals are just to stiff for my tastes. The flight controls on most real world aircraft don’t have centering springs, and I would prefer it if Logitech would either eliminate, or significantly reduce, the amount of tension of their centering springs.

It is pretty obvious that many other people agree with me on this, judging from the the number of YouTube videos I have seen about DIY modification to the Logitech Yoke, in particular.

I used to have this product on my old computer, but when I got a new computer I could no longer install my old program, since it only lets you use it on one computer, which is why I bought this new unsealed version.

My new computer installed it on drive C which had very little space left, so I could not put any of my add ons for it since it told me I did not have enough space. I tried installing it to drive D which still had plenty of space but it gave me error messages, so I am still without the program.

I need to take my new computer in since things are not backing up into my external hard drive also. Program is great since I’ve had it for years. It’s my new gaming computer which is having problems.

I just wanted to play flight simulator, but the new version has this whole Steam login, online, do stuff over internet thing to it. That’s great if I’m playing other Steam games, but I’m not, so it was just more bloat and internet connectivity I didn’t need.

I went back to an older version of Flight Simulator – problem solved. Works fine on my Windows 7 machine (I haven’t made the jump to Win10 yet).

I am using the flight simulator a lot with several friend all over the world. It is too bad Microsoft stopped with the support for this product. Many people are using this program for pleasure. To install this expansion pack gives most users a problem to install.

X Plane11 is great. I started to install X Plane 11 and one of the DVD’s gave me a hard time. So I emailed the folks at Laminar Research and they were great. They got right back to me in a email and helped me fix the problem I was having.

Now I’m having a great time, but there’s a lot to it then just flying a plane. I would to thanks folks at Laminar Research again for the help and keep up the great work. I’m still new at this but in time and with lot’s of reading I will have a little understanding about how to get an aircraft off the ground and in the air and landing it safe.

Install with 8 dvd disk, very hard. Disk 3 took me 1 Day for the pc to see disk 3 after installing disk 2. Disk 8 after installing disk 7 , waiting for disk 8, even after put disk 8 in the DVD player, doesnt see disk 8.

Tried for 2 days of putting disk in and out of DVD player. Brought another set of 8 disk and still the same troubles. X plane 11 great flight simulator, but dvd installation is only problem, I have with x plane 11.

Great value because I did not pay full price. It is easy to install just make sure you have the room to install it. As for ease of use, the more hardware you have the better, i. e. Yoke, Throttles, Floor peddles.

This is coming from a person that plays no video games, may be different if you do to use key board functions.

Your typical usb throttle quadrant. I bought it to add to my current setup so I can fly twin engine aircraft better. This comes with extra throttle, prop and mixture nob bits and a nice bar that connects all 3 levers into 1 for larger aircraft.

The levers feel very tight compared to my 5 year old quadrant i now use as a secondary prop and mixture. Nice, solid brackets to mount and good quality wire. If you need a basic quadrant to add to your flight deck here you go, yes there are better options but this is a perfect fill in.

I purchased this throttle quadrant in October to compliment my new Alpha Honeycomb which does not have an integrated throttle. First impression; exterior quality is very good and well designed. All lever movements from full open to close are snug and responsive, and pressure feedback during movement is what you would expect.

I am using it in both X-Plane 11 and MSFS 2020 and both recognized the device on startup. Configuration was straightforward within both sims. Time will tell whether it will withstand use, however I do recommend this throttle quadrant got any flight sim enthusiast.

Although the lightweight construction makes the whole thing feel a little bit cheap, overall you really can’t beat the functionality for the cost. I was looking for some additional levers to control things like flaps and landing gear in MSFS2020 and this thing works great.

I also really like the detents at the bottom of the lever travel. All in all this works great as an addition to my Saitek X52.

Sorry i wasted my money. I was expecting it to be like original WWII microsoft combat flight simulator! NOT even close. Limited planes, no hurricane even. Directed missions , hard to change planes on missions.

all around just 10% of original. But if you didn’t have the wonderful experience of that original simulater, it might work for you. You will never know what you missed. BRING IT BACK MICROSOFT!! BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL THAT WILL WORK IN NEW COMPUTERS! PLEASE, I’M BEGGIN’ YOU!.

This game will still fly on Win 7, and using an old MS sidewinder 2, you can still play it with force feedback. Although i’v seen worse games, Most of this game seems like an afterthought, The aircraft are diverse, you can fly a JU88 and an ME262 as well, the controls can be set how you want easily, and you have choice of fighter or bomber missions.

MS combat flight 1 was the best 2 was not bad (my favorite part is landing on the carrier) and this one is a logical progression from those. The graphics are a bit crude compared to today but that’s to be expected.

Anyhow if you like flyiing games this would not be a bad choice, I just wouldn’t pay over $30 tops.

I played this game years ago. Memories of the fun made me want to play it again. Its as fun as I remember, especially with my up to date video card and improved computer memory.

This unit has everything in the box needed to set it all up in minutes. The unit is very robust although the mounts are plastic so care must be taken to not overtighten things. 64 Bit software was also an issue but one that was very easily solved, a quick search online found the 64 bit driver, same as the Saito version ( it could even be a rebadged unit ) installed and operated first time with no messy configuration needed.

You do need to configure the controls for your flight Sim ( I use X-Plane 11. 50 ) and a few of the default options were changed to make reaching and switching them easier. The throttle quadrant can be reconfigured to suit multiple engine aircraft ( using the throttle and prop pitch as throttles for a twin engined airliner ) and the availability of switches at your finger tips means Sim flying is much more enjoyable.

All your configurations can be saved and reloaded to suit whichever aircraft you will be flying very easily. This unit is also the base for many other flight sim modules such as radios, engine instruments, switch panels, navigation etc etc etc.

All in all a very well priced and very easy to setup and use flight Yoke and Throttle Quadrant set.

Ahh the trusty old X52 HOTAS. This thing is literally old enough to vote, as it was originally released by Saitek almost 20 years ago. Now under the Logitech brand, the design kind of stands the test of time.

Ergonomically, the X52 / X52 Pro have always been home runs. The only slight knock I can think of would be if your hands are below average size for an adult male. Tons of buttons logically placed on both devices.

Once you get into a groove and configure the dozens of available button and mode combinations, it’s an incredibly flexible HOTAS platform for the price. All that said, it’s almost 20 years old and the inherent design flaws present since day one have not been improved.

The software always has been garbage, but you generally don’t need it anyways. The primary problem is with the centering / spring / shaft design on the flight stick. Do a web search for “X52 sticking” and you’ll see what I mean.

This problem even got it’s own word invented to describe the issue: “sticktion”, a combination of “sticking” and “friction”. If not right out of the box on day one, it will eventually develop a sticking / friction point in certain directions.

The inner spring / shaft / centering plate will develop friction and make precise, small movements almost impossible in a certain direction. Manually lubricating things can help, but it’s an Achilles Heel that’s been around since this thing released.

Generally speaking, this isn’t as big of a deal in space sims like X-Wing or Elite, where you are typically making big, swooping maneuvers in a dogfight. But it can be a death sentence when you are trying to maintain your glide slope during a carrier landing in an F-18.

I originally bought my current X52 Pro to replace an ancient X52 non-Pro that I bought probably 12-14 years ago. A few of the buttons didn’t work and one of the sliders constantly twitched. I probably could have taken it apart and fixed / cleaned everything.

but it was essentially spent and had served me well. My original idea with this new X52 Pro was to only use it for X-Wing and ED, but now that I’ve gotten back into MSFS2020 and DCS, the flaws of the flight stick are almost impossible to ignore.

I might keep using the throttle unit, but I am in the process of researching a replacement flight stick. So in conclusion, I’d give it 4/5 stars for space sim use, 2/5 stars for flight sim use and 3/5 average.

While I think it’s slightly overpriced at full MSRP, it’s still a very respectable choice if you play ED / X-Wing / SC. If you are primarily a flight sim person, you should probably spend a little more and look elsewhere.

A few months ago my friend got me into Elite Dangerous, a space exploration game. At first I just used a regular controller which was alright. But once I got hooked into the game, I decided to upgrade to a hotas.

I ended up getting the x52 pro and after a month or so (at least feels like that long) I have had no major complaints about it. The controller is super comfortable and accurate which is important for long sessions of flying around.

There is a plethora of extra buttons that seem useless at first, but become very useful for custom button mapping and making plenty of hotkeys. The only complaint I have is that the I haven’t been able to get the “i” button to work for my engine booster.

But, I admittedly haven’t looked into it that much and just remapped the booster to a different button. So really, my only issue is likely just user error. Are there cheaper options for a hotas, absolutely.

But believe me, the extra comfort and customization that comes with the x52 pro is definitely worth it.

I use this with my flight simulator to keep proficient on small single engine aircraft I fly VFR mostly and use this for navigation with sectional maps I don’t require a lot of instrumentation so the programmable features work well for my purpose.

It’s everything I need for my purpose. The yoke and pedals are well built and perform as desired. I would buy them again.

Ages ago, I’ve tried the flight simulator game with keyboard for controls. It made for a real frustrating experience. The amount of buttons needed for the control is overwhelming. Using this yoke takes a lot of frustration out.

Flying with this feels natural.

I have the CH Products FSY211U flight yoke. It seems to be a bit smoother and more stable than the older Virtual Pilot. The Virtual Pilot throttle would jump a bit and it wouldn’t quite stay on course for long periods of time.

So far, this newer FSY211U does much better.

Systems that are faster than the minimum may provide significantly better performance and improve your gaming experience. Some PC video games list specific video card requirements and will not function without.

It is also important to mention (because we sell video games on ebay) that we do not sell titles as NEW once they are opened and installed for testing. Most test games find a home with one of our testors (employees) and in rare cirumstances, we will sell clearly marked as opened and used.

I had a previous version of this program and found this newer version and ordered it. It arrived VERY quickly and was everything I had hoped for. The price was really low. The program has wonderful sounds and many features that I wanted.

All in all, it is a wonderful product and lots of fun.

This purchase was made by me as a remedy to a problem. I have DCS, STAR WARS SQUADRONS, ELITE DANGEROUS, and MSFS 2020 and without a HOTAS I was really limited in how I wanted to play and enjoy these games.

I also had purchased a QUEST 2 for the VR and hunting for buttons is NOT IT when you can’t see the keyboard. This HOTAS was honestly the ONLY one available at the time. I found that it lacks buttons and is short at least 1 hat switch for DCS WORLD.

Having to Remap a full hat switch of buttons makes DCS basically 1000X harder to play in or out of VR. When it comes to MSFS 2020 this HOTAS works beautifully. The rudder control can easily be switched to the stick for for the stick twist Rudder that I prefer.

The stick is adjustable for firmness but I find my wrist and arm actually get tired if I do too much maneuvering at high tension. This was easily fixed by loosening the tension on the bottom of the Stick control.

Believe me I know how stupid that sounds but I am serious. I would absolutely recommend this stick to anyone who needs it for any number of Flight Sims.

I bought the “Xbox/PC” version just under two years ago and it developed a fault within a year; The yaw started glitching to the right ever so slightly making it hard to aim sometimes and making cruise impossible.

I dealt with it for a while and only just now sent it for warranty and they couldn’t replace it because they don’t sell the xbox version anymore but I got a full refund and am upgrading to an x52. I used the hotas exclusively for Elite Dangerous and it’s amazing.

All the pre-mapped controls are fairly easy to get used to within a week of occasional gameplay, and it feels great to play with a real throttle and stick. It comes in extremely handy when playing ED in VR, as it’s impossible to miss a button and it makes for an absolutely amazing experience.

I haven’t heard of anyone else having the problem that I did so I’d say I can recommend this HOTAS for anyone looking for an affordable option.

This is a great entry level HOTAS for those wanting to try one out on PC. It has good value vs performance and features and for under $70 that is a great option. Anything past this and you will be spending several hundred dollars for the next tier.

It doesn’t have the weight or feel as the high end HOTAS but it performs well enough for sure. It has pulleys and not gears for rotation so be sure to get the 2 year protection plan so when it starts to fade you can return and upgrade or decide HOTAS is not for you.

Plays great in Star Wars: Squadrons.

This was a gift for my partner, it was delivered on time and I was kept informed of delivery date and time. He is very happy with the yoke, says it does everything he wants it do, and gives a much better flying experience compared to using a joystick.

The desk wasn’t thick enough for the clamps to hold it firmly, but luckily had a spare piece of shelving similar to desk which he used to increase thickness and it is now secure and looks OK.

This is one of the best flight yokes I have owned. I had an older model years ago, this model has more to offer the user, with it’s multi use buttons. This flight yoke also works great with Truck Simulator, as a steering wheel.

This simulator is amazing along with the interface. It took me a little while to get it set up( mainly because I’m not good with computers). Once it was going it is very realistic, it should be a good training tool.

Works great, I find it harder than real flight, but that is good, so when I get out for real I should be more precise
