20 Best Xbox One Chatpad (2022 Updated)

I really liked being able to play my fps games with a keyboard and mouse on my PS5, especially for online games. This makes it work much better than the wireless options. If you want to use a keyboard and mouse without lag, get this.

This device has the potential to be the best adapter on the market for sure. The problem is that this device has too many problems to list and it clearly needs more work to be consistent even somewhat user friendly.

I’ve spent hours trying to get this to work and spent hours in the online forums trying to get help from devs on the website and they just tell you the same steps that never work. If you buy this there is a high chance it will not work for you.

Please look at other options.

I do like the KeyMander, however, mine has a defect where it will shut itself off randomly between 30 mins – 3 hrs.

First of all, this fusion wired fightpad comes in a nice sturdy box. In the box there is a user manual, a wired braided cable with a locking mechanism, the remote and 2 extra face plates. The wire braided cable with locking mechanism is nice and useful so that you don’t accidentally pull it out of the remote.

Also, the cable is great so that you don’t need batteries or have to worry about your remote dying. The remote itself is really nice. There is a toggle for the d pad and another toggle at the top for the triggers.

In between the triggers is the micro usb port. The d pad is really nice and moves effortlessly and smoothly. The other buttons and triggers are easy to push. Not sticking. I really like that you can customize the remote with the extra face plates.

I was glad that there is a white face plate and I plan on painting it and customizing once I figure out what I want on it. Changing the face plates are super easy. Just pop off the face plate and pop on a new one within seconds.

So easy and you don’t have to pry or be rough with it. It easily comes off. The kids and I have found that using this fusion wired fightpad makes playing our favorite arcade games so much more fun! And it seems really well made! Definitely recommend!.

Got this for my son who owns a Switch. He has a couple of fighting games and he thought it would be great to have a different controller setup for them. He claims that it fits his hands well (which are large for a 10yo), and that the buttons respond decently.

He got a little frustrated with one game where he couldn’t pull off one of the moves that he kept trying with the dpad, but I can’t say whether that was user error or a result of the product. I think it’s a bit redundant to have a separate controller for just one type of game, and that it’s a pain to have carry it around just for those when the Switch is intended to be an “on-the-go” system, but it doesn’t bother him, so there you go.

I asked him if he could make one change, what would it be, and he replied that being wireless would make it better.

I was very excited to try this controller for my ps4. The charging cord is very long and durable braided cord which is awesome for being able to play from a distance while it charges. Has easy to remove and apply color skin plates to change look or controller.

Smooth playing with smooth working buttons. Very easy to adjust to and use. It is not only my new favorite ps4 remote but my two sons also. Durable and light weight. Great addition to any gamers collection.

I’ve been a console player all my life untill I tested the waters a year ago with a low to mid laptop 2060 build and 6 months ago, i got a sweet powerful 3080ti pre built. Playing on KBM from controller was a challenge so great, i was never able to get used to it with my laptop.

I bought the recommended Keyboards for PC and maybe I’m too old or too slow to learn it but i just can’t play like that. I googled keypads and i found this one and the Azeron, which i own both and prefer this one.

I bought another one for my wife to start gaming, mines still works like new. This keypad is my DAILY DRIVER. I cannot play without this thing and I’ll be sad the day they don’t make it. I thought about buying all their stock but I’ll see if Razer makes a version 3.

It fits my hand perfectly, it has a WASD analog thumb stick that helps with movement and my fingers reach three out of the 4 rows. On KBM my fingers trip each other up. It hurt my gameplay hard every match of any multiplayer game.

Not with this. My thumb does what it’s used to, control movement. My other digits use the keys for commands and im never lost with finger placement. It took less than a week to “master” and now any game i pick up , it’s fluent.

It’s perfect for Fortnite and all of it’s keys, Halo, Valorant, Apex. You can customize the keys to help with Photoshop and all digital sketching programs. I love this thing. Don’t hesitate, buy it. You will not regret it.

I will absolutely not look back after switching from a regular keyboard setup to using this. Having so many extra buttons (and even more with modifiers) is amazing and the D-pad is so comfortable for moving around… but beware, it gets stuck.

It’s not all the time and not often enough – considering how much I use it – for me to worry about sending it back, however it is a tad annoying even though it’s an easy fix (flicking stick in opposite direction).

Would be incredibly frustrating if this happened during an important game, I’ve been lucky so far. I’ve read many reviews and this is a VERY common problem, one person said they just had the fault occur on their fourth piece of hardware after getting replacements.

So you just need to weigh up the pros and cons for yourself. Is it worth a slight annoyance once every few days in exchange for a direction pad and another 20 buttons to work with? =).

I have several of the Razer products the Huntsman Elite keyboard the Baslisk Ultimate speed wireless gaming mouse and the Firefly Hard mouse pad. I love these and would recommend but the Tartarus Pro Gaming Keypad I can not.

The Dpad keeps getting stuck in one position which cause my character in game to just move in that direction and in this case run and it will not stop. i have to press the opposite direction or the keyboard keys to stop the motion and sometimes that does not even work.

it is very frustrating. when trying to play WoW in the middle of a fight my character takes off running and I have to try to recover from the unwanted interruption. I have not had this a month and this issues is already happening.

I am a casual gamer and for sure this should not be happing to such an expensive controller. secondly the keys have a dual action which i thought would be cool but not executed correctly in my opinion.

when just trying to utilize the keys for a single action when you press down the action is slightly delated making think it did not register and you press the key again. this is not good game play especially in a large battle scene or for FPS this will get you killed in game and loose a lot.

so i can not recommend this product until they fix these glaring issues. I will go back to my G13 from Logitiec for now.

I got this clip mostly for playing Xbox games on a phone through Xbox cloud streaming or Xbox local game streaming with my Xbox controller. The quality of the clip is good. It is sturdy and attaches firmly to the controller.

The rubberized pads on the phone grip hold my device firmly in place. The knobs for adjusting the angle of the hinges are secure and have not come loose during playing, but make it quick and easy to adjust as needed.

The thing that led me to this clip over other available options was the two hinges–it makes it so much easier to get a good balance of the phone on the controller depending on how you want to play or hold the controller while playing.

If the phone is not balanced properly, it can get tiring to try to play for long periods of time, but with the right balance there is no discomfort even after an extended time. For me, the balance is best when the center of mass of the phone is vertically above the center of mass of the controller, so the positioning and orientation of the phone relative to the controller changes depending on how I am playing.

I’m completely satisfied with this purchase and would (and have already) recommend this clip to others.

I wish there was a better option for these chat links. I stream gameplay from my Nintendo Switch with it and there’s always this static hum I get no matter what I do. It works fine though other than the cheap quality.

I’ve found Y cables cheaper with better quality.

Perfect for the Elgato capture card, I had issues before with my recordings with my audio, sometimes it would record my voice twice and sometimes not at all. Using this cable cancels both them issues out and gives you perfect audio quality with your 1080p 4K recording.

Recommend to anyone recording/YouTubing.

You can use the cable to record and hear your party chat; however, there is a constant buzzing sound in the background, which you hear in your headset, and you hear in the recording. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re using to stream or record gameplay.

I don’t own an Xbox, but I do play PC games from Steam on a Windows 10 PC from time to time. I’m not really a dedicated gamer, so I pretty much need a console style controller. Fortunately, Microsoft makes their Xbox controllers compatible with Windows 10.

I purchased this new model primarily because the older version I had with a micro-USB connection was unreliable – coming loose at inopportune times and finicky when plugging in. That was the only flaw of the previous model, but it was worth an upgrade for me.

Other noticeable differences are the textured grips (slight if unnecessary improvement), a newly styled D-pad (I find no difference), slightly different contour on the top (cosmetic only), and a Share button.

As far as I can tell the Share button serves no purpose for Windows 10 (it appears to be an Xbox feature only, at least for now). I had questions upon ordering this updated controller; after a few hours of play, here are the answers: Yes, this controller is compatible with the Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 and all of its features.

Yes, the original Xbox One Play and Charge Kit works with this newer model controller, as do the cheaper 3rd party alternatives. The micro-USB cable that originally came with these kits will not be compatible, so useany USB-C cable you have.

There does not appear to be an available USB-C cable that has a charge indicating light to work with these play & charge kits. Yes, there is a way to determine the controller’s battery level when using on a PC.

With the controller connected to the PC, open the Xbox Accessories app/program (free from the Microsoft store) and find the battery level there. It must be connected wirelessly to read the battery level; it will just say “Plugged in” if using the cable.

Yes, all previous peripherals (except for micro-USB cables) seem to work perfectly with this new controller. And finally, yes, the USB-C connection is wonderful. It’s easy to connect, stable, and responsive.

I like the fact that there is no indicator LED as I often play in the dark.

To start off, this controller is beautiful, and a little hard to find. I already have the phantom white version and love it. My issue is to do with Walmart/GPD and the way this product was marketed as “New.

” This controller came to me in a brown box, wrapped in (big) bubble wrap. No original box, so my best guess is this is technically “open box” or previously bought and returned/rejected. It came with a few minor scuffs, and some of the pieces/panels don’t line up quite right, but these are minor issues with the controller that may adjust with use.

I specifically paid more to avoid the used/opened, but that’s what I got anyways. This price should be marked down. If I was gonna end up with a brown box, I probably would’ve ordered it elsewhere.

I’m using this for Windows 10 and games like minecraft/vrchat/skyrim VR It’s beautiful and is reminiscent of the awesome N64 controllers. But these are not as well built as the previous generation controllers.

Plastic feels weak, I had to pop one of the seams back in place and the seams are sharp edges. It feels like they really cheapened out on their manufacture of the case, probably the same as the $20 light-up controllers.

The plastic is also creaky. So far thats the only problem I have with this. Microsoft really needs to put quality into controllers because PS4/PS5 ones are better in this regard. -Comes with 2 Duracell AA batteries.

The battery compartment is cheap, doesn’t include a label showing the direction of the batteries. You have to look at the and – signs. Microsoft did this one wrong because though the batteries are put in alternating directions; the compartment makes it look like both batteries go the same direction.

-Firmware Update You will need to connect via Micro-USB on Windows 10 and update the firmware with the ‘Xbox Accessories’ app in the Microsoft store app. You have to take the batteries out of the controller before doing this.

I had to disconnect bluetooth and do it three times before it worked. -Audio Audio is a 3. 5mm port which is the standard one you get on normal headsets *not* the old 2. 5mm for xbox 360. You can only use CTIA compatible headsets with this, There are some OMTP headsets that can be adapted to CTIA.

Bluetooth will not deliver audio on Windows 10. It does work with Micro-USB or the USB Xbox wireless adapter, but it’s hard to get the right adapter (Lots of counterfits on Amazon). You’d want the modern small xbox usb wireless adapter from Microsoft, but they’re out of stock currently.

Stereo audio via Micro-USB is 2 channel 26 bit 48000Hz, Microphone is 1 channel 16 bit 24000Hz, works pretty well. -Compatability Steam and other games recognize the controller, so I would imagine it works elsewhere.

These controllers do have a unique ID over bluetooth in reported data so programs like game emulators can save the controller config. Comes with a 15 day xbox game pass. I’m not a console gamer so first person to get it here’s the code: V9GT6-44DY4-MGQ6G-T3XTY-CF2XZ.

Amazing keyboard and mouse. The extended mouse pad is amazing. The extended mouse pad and the mouse has a slight magnetic pull to it probable to avoid it from rolling off when on the couch. It does take awhile to get used to the pull.

I would not recommend this to anyone who will not play one of the mainstream shooters. That is all this is for. There is a small list of games to play and majority will still require the controller to set up.

This also works for PlayStation but only for and even smaller selection of games and is limited to what it can do such as only keyboard use. If you have a PC and want to play from the couch this is pretty amazing slight weight not to much but feels tough.

Rubber bottom to help it from sliding around. Comfortable for the couch or gaming chair. Note the surface does tend to collect prints pretty fast. If you got sweaty hands you will see the prints. I give it a 4 stays since it is good all the way around just the surface tends to get fingerprints way to fast and it is annoying.

Also I do not like the give a bad rating for things out of the company controller such has dedicated mouse and keyboard support. I ended up returning since both Xbox and PS5 has very limited support for mouse and keyboard.

If your a dedicated mainstream FPS played then this is for you. Works week with COD and Fortnite. No division support or any other shooter. On Xbox all gears support KB&M halo does only while playing no mouse support in the menus.

Awesome peripheral! There’s a charging port from the keyboard to the mouse pad which comes with a cable just long enough to use it while it’s connected. The upper right hand corner of the mouse pad is also magnetic so you can just let your mouse chill out there if you are o ly typing.

I use this on a pc hooked up to my TV and it’s fantastic. The quality is top notch like every other razer product I’ve ever owned and I’ve been sticking with then since they came around in the mid 2000s.

Keyboard has a great click and the mouse is just as good as the wired mice they offer.

I feel like this product is extremely expensive and mine was defective. Supposed to be for wireless use so you can relax back and use it but the mouse was slow on screen and would stutter and the keys would work fine but on the screen would appear stuck and type a certain letter over and over until it decided to stop.

I did love the mechanical feel of the keys, though. If it worked properly I might have kept it. I returned it to Best Buy and the process was easy, I got a normal mouse and keyboard from Razer in-store (the lapboard was an online purchase) and they work great.

Don’t waste your money on this expensive board.

Try playing Elite Dangerous and locating planets with names like “HIP 36601 B 5 A” on an xbox without a keypad. It’s a pain. Especially when your old microsoft chatpad has kicked the bucket after years of use and you find it has been discontinued, and all that remains are sketchy knock-offs with terrible reviews on various online sites.

Such was life, until I found this. This works very well, I would say as good or better than the original. The only downside is that it lacks volume and mix controls like the original and requires a bluetooth dongle that takes up one of 3 USB ports on the Series X.

Also, I have found the dongle does not like to be plugged into the back usb ports, as the signal has trouble passing through the guts of the xbox. It works fine plugged into the front port. The audio pass-through works great with a headset, so long as there is a volume control on the headset.

You must go through the menus if you want to use a pair of wired headphones. But a wireless headset is really the way to go in 2021. I had no problems pairing the dongle as it came already paired out of the box, with good instructions in case you ever need to pair it again.

The green backlight is very bright, much better than the original. One odd thing I have found is the space bar inserts 2 spaces instead of one. So I use the Y button instead when that is important. This fits perfectly inside the charging case for the Elite series 2 controller and all the accessories fit underneath the pad.

If you need a keyboard on your controller this is great, as there are not many good options out there, and you can always take it back if there is a problem out of the box, or just replace it when you need to later.

I hope Best Buy keeps these around for years to come.

Good product for a reasonable price. There are some issues to be aware before purchasing. The extra surface area when attached prevents seating in either of my PowerA through-door charging docks. The fit to controller allows a tiny bit of wiggle to lower corners of either side.

The USB dongle had an excessively tight fit to my Series X console front port. The keypad may pick up duplicated letters if you press even a tiny bit longer than necessary. The passthrough connector for headset acts like headset is attached (and forces stereo audio) even if no headset being used.

Imperfect, but a cool affordable gadget for most Xbox controller models (NOT Elite).

Conveniant for typing when you don’t wear a head set. Keys are rubber, back lit, and sturdy. It does not have a tight fit however. It had some wiggle when chat pad was applied. Not much play but some will notice.

Wired headsets work no problem. I’ll say it adds some weight to the controller which is good in my case. Good product for the money.

This chatpad is very reliable. It has a mic insertion at the bottom. You can control your audio whether it’s game or party audio. It has options for an Xbox record that or Xbox take a screenshot. As I use this chat pad it is as if I’m using my old 360 chatpad with my old 360 controller.

All in all I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs it. Although the asking price is a bit too high. I would have gladly paid $20. 99 instead of what they ask for, but as I like to say good things aren’t cheap and cheap things are good.

So you get your money’s worth. Definitely a great Buy.

Its an original item and works great no issues except the cost. There are other chat pads that do everything this one does but its not a pen product. Which is preferred. They should lower the because there is a new system on its way that well need to buy new pads and maybe headsets.

Microsoft discontinued making the chatpad, so it’s been difficult to find an authentic one. It’s sleek, and fits my Xbox One (first gen) and Xbox Series X controllers perfectly.

I got this package for my son for christmas and it came with a chatpad and a headset in addition to a couple other things but anyway i got this package with every intention on my son using each and every piece that came with this.

Each piece has its specific role of course. Well the chatpad didnt come with instructions in english. Came in every other language but english! so cant really figure out how to use it which is upsetting.

and the other thing that does NOT work is the main item for my son. the headset gotten specifically for the new HALO 4 game(which i also purchased at walmart). u can only hear/talk while in the lobby of this game and before the game.

not during or after?? cant even hear anyone thru my tv anymore either like i could before the headset? im not sure why it doesnt work but i do know that i paid good $$ for these things. I asked sumone online also playing halo if they knew y it didnt work and their reply was “if u got it at walmart then its broke and a defective,it only works in the lobby of halo!!”.

so has anyone else had this problem and if so was it fixable? do i need a new one? will walmart replace it?.

The Xbox 360 chatpad is a much easier way to enter in text when playing Xbox 360. It was a little hard to get the keypad to snap into the controller, but when I pressed just “a little” harder, it clicked.

Now I can enter in text, data and numbers much easier than with the controllers joysticks. Also, if you’re considering a headset microphone, you get one with the chatpad. It connects to a 3/8 in. jack in the chatpad, so there’s no wire going all the way to the console, just the controller.

The chatpad works great and the keyboard lights up when pressed so you can see the keys in low light. BTW, the keys are small, and I need glasses to see the letters, but it’s well worth the convenience.

I did have to call customer service to get the chatpad/headset working. Apparently the contacts need to be cleaned with alcohol and a cotton swab first? My son (just turned 11) had also told me that his mom had purchased the same item for him last year, and it didn’t work (she never called customer service and just returned it).

My guess is that the contacts needed to be cleaned first on that one too??.

I bought this for my boys for Christmas because they use up so many batteries. I was skeptical about it but weve had them charge their controllers on this and it is AWESOME! My boys say that their controllers stay charged for hours.

If one boy plays the other one leaves their controllers charging. They also set them to charge over night. The only thing is that you have to wiggle it around to sit just right on the charger otherwise it wont connect/charge.

The light on the base comes on and lets me know its charging (red for charging/green for ready). So far we have not needed batteries. Im hoping this charger lasts a long time. I would definitely recommend this device.

Great charging dock. I’ve been buying batteries non stop for two years. I must of assumed the charging docks were expensive (as anything Xbox is). Finally looked into one and this gem was priced at $30.

Comes with two rechargeable batteries; two lights on the dock: red indicates needs charging, green means fully charged. Also holds the remotes while not in use. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase.

Buyer beware, the battery backplates needed to use this unit will not work with new controllers from Microsoft. I purchased this charging stand from the Microsoft website, along with a new Xbox one wireless controller.

The included battery backplates with this stand are incompatible with the new controller from Microsoft, as the upper tabs are misaligned. The backplates fit with all of my other older controllers, however those controllers do not function properly so I cannot use this unit.

I will email and see if different compatible backplates are available, or I will need to return the charger stand.

Having a controller die during game play stinks. Even worse when you thought you were charging your controller, only to find out it didn’t charge at all because it wasn’t connected properly. Now with this PSP slim charging system, you won’t experience that again.

You just drop the controller in and the magnetic ports take care of the alignment. As a backup to make sure its charging, it has a LED indicator. The LED also has a auto dimmer, so if you are in a dark room, you won’t have the distracting bright LED light.

Best of all on the bottom it has this material to keep the system in place and you don’t need to worry about it getting shuffled around. Modern design that looks cool and is officially licensed by Xbox.

I purchased a new Xbox one controller and this product at the same time. Got it home and found out that they have changed the battery port cover just enough that it is NOT COMPATIBLE with the rechargeable battery pack and cover.

It shouldn’t be a guessing game, the products should just be compatible with all Xbox one controllers. Either a design flaw/error or an intentional action to force customers to upgrade more than just the controller.

When I was younger Turtle Beach headphones were what I always gravitated to, but in recent years I had moved more towards Rig and then Astro`s A50 headphones to which after using this pair of headphones from Turtle Beach I do believe they may have taken the crown back as the best headphones on the market.

Firstly, out of the box the build quality was great as I could appreciate the all black aesthetic as they looked much more refined than the typical bold Turtle Beach colors. Initially I was disappointed with the all plastic look, but the headphones have some heft to them with the 50mm drivers so the plastic allowed them to not weigh down my head while gaming so I can appreciate the function aspect that comes with the plastic build material.

Also the metal within the headband was nice since this is one of the parts of the headset that always seems to give and break first. Next getting them paired with my Xbox was amazing as the simple USB dongle is great and provides a truly wireless experience without having to worry about a connected base.

Then pairing them with my phone and PC via Bluetooth was just as easy along with the USB pairing for my PC as well. Upon putting the headset on it was a little tight initially compared to other headsets, but it is something I got used to rather quickly.

Some headsets go overboard with the comfort and result in my ears getting too warm, but I did not have that issue with these as I assume the cooling-gel within the earcups assisted with this. One interesting feature was also the ability to modify the earcups if you have glasses as I am sure many can appreciate this small detail.

Over multiple hours long gaming sessions these headphones remained comfortable the entire time so there were definitely no issues when it came to overall comfort. Then the most important aspect of these headphones is the actual performance.

I was anticipating a lesser experience than my A50s as they are $100 cheaper, but I was definitely surprised after using these for a couple weeks and going back and forth as the Turtle Beach headsets definitely punch above their weight in this department! I did not have any issues with lag and once I got my settings all configured I have had no issues since.

The app is a nice added feature when it comes to customizing your experience, but the preset is more than acceptable in my opinion. The Superhuman Hearing is an interesting sound setting as everything appears to be boosted and I was unsure if there was much to it, but upon listening to music soundtracks I was able to distinguish where Turtle Beach was making adjustments and then going back and playing more FPS games I was able to begin to notice the difference and how beneficial it actually was.

The mic quality was right on par with what you would expect as everyone I played with said I came across crystal clear and the ability for the mic to fold right in flush with the headset is a nice feature along with the noise when muted and unmuted.

The one aspect I did especially like was the ease of use and the number of buttons/dials on the headset as many times manufacturers just go completely too far with clickable panels, knobs, dials, and buttons whereas Turtle Beach has made it so simple with just a game/chat knob, volume knob, mode button, power button, and Bluetooth button to which the game/chat and mode button can be customized in the app though I kept mine as is with the mode button toggling the Superhuman Hearing mode.

Also the feature of slightly raising the mode and Bluetooth buttons is a nice added feature in order to find the buttons quickly and distinguish between the power button. Then in regard to battery life let me tell you that the 40 hours nearly holds true and that it is definitely a long time that goes appreciated without have to charge every couple play sessions and even then the fast charging of 8 hours of gameplay in 15 minutes of charging is a great feature for when my headset did die on me in one of my play sessions.

Overall, there really is nothing to poke holes in with this headset as the ease of setup, comfort, and overall performance with the number of additional feature are all exceptional. At this price point on top of it I really think you can`t go wrong purchasing this headset regardless of what system(s) you are gaming on.

Has exactly what my fiance wanted. He loves the turbo and auto options. He still has yet to know what the “assign” button does since he said the instructions are in Japanese, but as soon as he sends me a pic of the instructions I’d be able to translate lol.

(In other words, I guess there are no English instructions so watch out for that. ).

It works great. very easy to use, light weight, nice long cord and the buttons are raised up. It reminds me of an Xbox controller. If you have always used a Xbox and want to switch to a PS4, this is the controller for you.

The only thing that I don’t like is the fact that there’s no plug for a head set or mic that’s it.

It is too squarish with the movement. Wish there was an auto sniper mode. Turbo messes up with the assigned settings. Worse control system for a game like The Last Of Us.

I initially bought this headset simply because it has a built-in microphone and I was tired of using my Apple EarPods as my go-to headset with a mic. After my EarPods’ microphone died on me, I decided to unbox this product, and I was in for a SHOCK! Before I get into the nitty-gritty, I will praise Astro Gaming for the build quality.

The A10 is a well-built pair of headphones. However, the headband squeezed my head too tight. The ear cups were super uncomfortable to the point where I was sore a day after wearing them. What’s worse? The audio quality is absolute TRASH! I should’ve known better given the fact I’m an audio engineer by trade.

If you want to know just how bad these are, the volume dips at around 600 Hz and doesn’t come back up until 900 Hz. Essentially, all of the high-mids of the average human range of hearing is GONE! I would never recommend this to anyone as a cheap gaming headset.

I was better off buying another pair of Apple EarPods.

I bought these during a sale – and for what they can deliver in terms of audio output is astonishing for the price! Keep in mind that I left 4 stars – because of the cord. While the build is made of quality, the cord installation could’ve been better.

At first I thought I had a defective pair of Astros. Then I found out that the other end of the cable has a longer tip. The long side plugs into the headset – you need to REALLY APPLY FORCE when plugging the cord in to get a solid audio connection.

The headphones sound indestructible! The BEST audio for the price range. Overall build is phenomenal. These headphones are built solid and rugged. Just make sure to properly install the audio cable correctly (really force the longer cable tip into the left ear cup port) and you are good!.

the right stick began to have stick drift along with the left stick making you stop moving when pulling it downwards. the controller is also super uncomfortable to hold.

well i gotta admit it is definitely good for games such as cod, and battlefield, etc (first shooter games). However, i really wish it was as good for fortnight because that’s what i bought it for! however it really inst good for fortnight on console.

Trust me! And BTW it is basically the same thing as the xim apex. It works exactly the same as it. If you guys are gonna buy it, than do not buy the xim its the SAME thing. The only difference is that you can program it on ur mobile compared to manual programming.

as a pc gamer for over 20 years. never been a console gamer. but after buying a xbox one. finding it hard to use a Gamepad in playing games. but with New Max Shooter One Mouse Keyboard Converter Adapter for to PS3 PS4 XBOX 360 ONE.

you get the pc gameing feeling useing a keyboard and mouse but on a console. it’s a great product i give it 10 out of 10 i recommend it to everyone. who a pc gamer and looking to switch to a console this is the thank you.

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 feels a lot better than the included controller in the Series X/S and seems more like a true “next gen” controller. I primarily use the Xbox Elite 2 for PC gaming.

On Steam when connecting via Bluetooth the controller has worked flawlessly except with Batman: Arkham Knight which required telling the game it was a 360 controller with custom mappings. Surprisingly with Xbox PC game pass I ran into many more issues when connecting via Bluetooth, I found connecting via the included USB-C cable works better for game pass games, otherwise on BT I run into issues where some of the buttons aren’t mapped properly and even when manually mapping them they don’t respond correctly or at all.

Being Xbox’s flagship controller, I would think it would run seamlessly on Xbox game pass. The experience may be better on consoles but this controller is billed as an Xbox/PC controller and should work well on both.

Other than those issues, which largely are corrected by connecting via USB-C, I like the controller quite a bit. The rumble feature feels much more natural than the included Xbox Series X controllers, which felt to me like technology from 10+ years ago with very basic and clunky vibration feedback, lightweight and a need for AA batteries, especially when compared with the all mighty PS DualSense.

The Elite 2 controller has a nice weight to it, the thumb sticks feel solid, snappy and respond nicely. I haven’t used the paddles much but I like that they are included and could see them being useful for many games.

The grips feel good as well and make the controller sit securely in your hands during gaming sessions. The controller also feels more balanced than the X/S. This controller comes with a quality, corded 9′ USB to USB-C cable as well as a rugged case that doubles as a charging station.

Within the case it also includes a tool to adjust the thumb sticks as well as an alternate D-pad. Overall this is a large improvement over the included X/S controllers, and some of its PC compatibility issues which are a bit frustrating can largely be overcome by tethering with USB-C.

I have played XBOX since the very first iteration of the console. And throughout those years I have gone through quite a few controllers. I have mostly stuck to Microsoft controllers in doing so. I finally caved and forked over the money for the most seemingly premium controller available in the Elite Series 2.

This controller has all he features possible to make your gaming experience as quality and fun as possible. Adjustable triggers, remappable buttons, a seamless integration and connection to your XBOX by way of the accessories application on your desk top, a rechargeable battery pack built in that gives you hours of gameplay before needing another charge (think I have played something like 10 hours before charging it), it comes with a carrying case that houses the controller and a bunch of extra addons like alternative thumbsticks and paddles to add to the controller for any player’s comfort or preference, and it even utilizes USB-C.

Now, with all that being said, this controller, with it’s vast price point and immense amount of features STILL suffers from Microsoft’s inability to consistently show that it can produce good build quality in its controllers.

In a few moths the right trigger began to creak a bit, and had a problem where it would stick. This is apparently a common issue with the glue that they use to supply a padding to the trigger so that when you push it in it doesn’t have plastic hitting plastic.

The only fix is spraying a bunch of alcohol into it and jabbing it with a Q-tip until the glue becomes less sticky and it stops sticking. Recently, the left bumper started becoming unresponsive. I could hit the side of the controller on a hard surface a bit and it would briefly fix the problem, which would return after a few minutes.

Other issues such as pushing the trigger down to fire in an FPS game, but then if you are pushing the trigger feverishly in an intense moment the melee button (most commonly the right thumbstick click which I had remapped to a paddle) would initiate and I would throw a melee for no reason, and of course probably lose the fire fight with my opponent.

The controller began to become more of a liability than an enhancement to my gaming experience. And for the amount of money it costs, that is ridiculous. Microsoft truly needs to figure out why their controllers are always such poor quality, especially one that costs half of what a whole console would be to purchase.

After using one of these controllers for about the last 6 months, I still can’t understand its high praise from community. I feel obliged to share my experience. Features: The paddles sound nice on paper but not all users will find them useful.

Certain grip styles will notice they just get in the way. After playing on standard controllers for so long without paddles/buttons on the back side, I’ve found it difficult to adapt to them and play most games with the paddles removed.

The customizable joysticks are a neat idea, though being held by magnetism, they tend to shift around resulting in a springy feel. I notice this in game but also a lot while navigating menus. If I press down on the joystick and then simply let go, the action results in a down then up instead of just a down.

The springy feel can be slightly reduced by adjusting the joystick tension but I have found that tension setting resets itself over time during use. Also, the joysticks have a grindy feel when pressed down and rotating, something I don’t experience with standard controllers.

The trigger locks are fine, though depending on your grip style, they can accidently shift settings during use. Build Quality: Now build quality is something I expected the Elite would exceed in over the standard controllers but has not been the case.

The Elite controller can split open from drops as low as two feet onto a throw rug. Unlike the standard controllers that have removable grip panels and the two main halves screwed together, the Elite is simply two halves snapped together by small clips.

If you are strong enough, you can literally split one of these open in your hands. A standard controller can absorb drops 10x better than the Elite. If considering an Elite controller, I’d highly recommend purchasing the accidental damage coverage because if you drop your controller once and a tab snaps off, it won’t seal right and would require a replacement.

Also, as of last week, my Elite controller developed stick drift in the left joystick which leads me to believe that the joystick rocker modules are no better quality than the ones used in the standard controllers.

Value: Considering all my experiences mentioned above make this controller a terrible value. You are essentially spending $120 more over a standard controller for the addition of paddles, adjustable thumb sticks, trigger stops and a fancy case with charging station.

Again, the features are poorly implemented and the overall quality of the controller is worse than a standard controller. I personally would not recommend this controller to anyone who is expecting a significant upgrade from a standard controller.

There are plenty of cheap aftermarket add-ons out there, that can essentially get a standard controller the features the Elite has. Elite is all hype.
