Amazing like much better than ps4 controller no longer worry about battery use. control the game was much easier due to advanced features in this controller trigger locks. analog sticks. programming 2 extra buttons is great pc gaming is awsome with this controller good compatibility is recognised as a generic contr.

Excellent quality well made controller, using it on my pc & made playing games a great experience without having to mess around with mouse & keyboard anymore. Holding this controller you can feel the quality compared to xbox & ps4 controllers & this does not dissapoint.

Pros: I,ve not upgraded for a while, so this kit came has a shock TBF, all in the positive agenda, this quality handheld controller works well, with multiple switches, all in the right place AND a great none slip grip design completes the little marvel Cons: You got this one bang on design, and useability, maybe just a little expensive !.

I used the controller for about a week, so I can’t tell you exactly how well it will work after a year, but I might give you an idea. ## Comfort I used PlayStation controllers for most of my life, but my hands would get really tired after some time.

No such thing happens with this controller, it just feels great. ## Buttons and layout D-Pad is fine, some people complain that it’s loud… and it is, but I enjoy it using it. ABXY and joysticks are all good, nothing to complain about.

I was used to PlayStation layout, but after a minute of using, it already felt right, you shouldn’t have a trouble adapting to it. ## Features There aren’t really any many new features like with DualSense, but if you plan on gaming on a PC, it won’t matter anyway.

Rumble feels fine, nothing fancy. ## USB connection It uses USB Type-C and it will work for you out-of-the-box on Windows and Linux. It apparently should also be painless on macOS. ## Bluetooth Windows works fine, but on Linux… first-time connecting is problematic.

First, make sure you are using Linux 5. 12+. If you are not using 5. 12+, you will have to disable ERTM. After that I had to make a Windows VM in virt-manager and redirect my Bluetooth controller to it (it will likely show up in the USB redirect with some generic “USB controller” name, but just check `lsusb` and the ID for your Bluetooth card) and then pair the Xbox controller in the VM.

After doing so, you can unredirect your Bluetooth card and close the VM. From now on, you should be able to connect to the controller without any issues on your computer. If you are having connection issues on any OS, it is recommended to update the firmware with the Xbox Accessories app on Windows.

The only issue I found is that it might have incorrect button mapping on Linux like R1 being mapped to Start (which can fixed by using xpadneo driver or you can just rebind the keys on Steam or something).

## Build quality It’s great, feels solid and not like a toy. ## Longevity The controller accepts AA batteries, which means that you can easily replace them. The Xbox One controller still works with Xbox Series, so this controller is likely to also be supported in the next generation.

Both of these things are not true with PlayStation. Sony dropped support for DualShock with PS5 and doesn’t accept AA batteries, which is terrible, because batteries will degrade quick. If you care about using your controller for a long time, go with Xbox.

## Conclusion Even though I’m not a Microsoft fanboy (far from it), they make great controllers. You can’t go wrong with it.

Good controller, it’s a slight update from the existing xbox One controller. Physically it feels the same as my old controller. Buttons feel good not too soft and not super clicky like some 3rd party controllers.

There is a slight change to the battery door, the old door it is angled slightly to the front of the controller and where it meets the bezel at the charge port it sweeps out: the new xbox Series X/S controller it’s more straight without the bent sweep by the bezel it feels more flush to that bezel.

Rechargable battery, the original charge and play battery pack from Microsoft will indeed fit in this controller, you do have to use a USB-C cable to charge it but it does work and does charge, you lose the tiny charging light indicator though (it was removed even on the new play and charge kit from MS).

Any USB-C cable will work with this controller same as they do with any android phone/tablet or game console that uses USB-C. Now what I don’t like is how clicky the D-pad is, I like the feel of the D-pad I just don’t like how noisy it is, it also feels like it hangs up on something internally if I try to make full circles with it.

This may smooth out with repeated use. I got mine in White to match my computer case and I do like the fact that the front bezel is also white. I also like the A, B, X, Y buttons being colored and not the same color as the blue, neon green, and red controllers.

All in all it’s a solid controller with very minor upgrades and cosmetic changes.

Is the controller with batteries really worth it? Is a wireless controller really worth it? Yes, the Xbox controller is a very user friendly controller. The Xbox controller is also very easy to interchange batteries:you take out the cover, then simply take out the old and in with the new.

The controller also has ways you can charge it; you need a special battery, but you can charge it by plugging the cord into the back of the controller. The placement of the cord is perfect because it is out of the way and you aren’t jamming your fingers while playing.

Next, the controller is pretty durable. I have had some experiences of getting mad and slamming it on something, the floor, wall, chair, even my knee caps! During the height of the pandemic, it was hard to go out and get batteries so I would always keep a wired controller as well.

Wired controllers sometimes have less time delay as well because it is already connected to the system. You also don’t have to worry about going out and getting new batteries. I believe that the wireless is better because you can really sit anywhere and play, one downside to the wired controller is that it restricts you from being far from your Xbox.

I would very much recommend the new Xbox controllers because they have the same design as last model but they now have grip on the back so it is easier to hold and it does not slip away from your fingers.

This is excellent for both Xbox One and PC gamers. The quality of Microsoft’s Series X controllers are great, and both Bluetooth and wired connections are wired. It does not come with batteries as listed, although the wireless Xbox controllers come with non-rechargable AA batteries.

In my opinion, you are better off getting this wired controller and buying a rechargeable battery separately (which are only around $10). The cable is a nice length, close to 10 feet. It’s long enough to reach an Xbox console that isn’t too far away from the couch and is plenty long for PC setups.

In addition to playing games with a wired connection, the USB-C cable can act as a charger for rechargeable Xbox batteries which is super handy. Overall I think this is a good deal, and is great for both wireless and wired play.

Just make sure to pick up a rechargeable battery. Given that this costs the same as a controller without a USB-C chord (which only come with non-rechargable AA batteries), I think this is the best bang for your buck in terms of Microsoft Xbox controllers available.

Essentially it turns your computer into an upgraded Xbox! -Windows computer that is, if you have a Mac its still probably a Mac that sucks and can’t play games, but if you have a Mac you probably didn’t buy it for games so that is totally fine.

I planned to get it for older games I have like Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning but it turns out it can be used in Valheim so the moment I found that out I stopped trying out different games and haven’t played anything other than Valhem since.

Great for indie games on Steam like Moonlighter, Battlechasers:Nightwar that are designed for controller. Also great for games like Middle Earth:Shadow of War that were not designed to be played with a keyboard and mouse and had them added in later on during porting.

Fantastic for fighting games like SoulCalibur. I picked this version because it came with the wireless adapter. I usually like playing wired so there is less chance of battery running out but wanted something I could use in bed easily because I have had some surgery lately and cannot sit and game at my desk for long periods of time and this has been absolutely perfect.

It uses 2 AA batteries. I find it best if you have wireless keyboard and mouse as well to get a few rechargeable AA batteries and have them charged as spares just in case something runs out and you want to quickly switch but if you are not using it constantly you can probably get away with putting in some fresh non-rechargeable batteries from time to time if you don’t have a charger or want to pay for rechargeable batteries.

Really nice quality, fits great in the hands, cool haptic feedback in the triggers in certain games. Really did change the experience coming from an old 360 controller. Only nit-pick is that this thing is hell-bent on waking my computer from sleep.

If i leave it plugged in and put my pc to sleep, the pc will just wake up 10 minutes later. So I have to constantly go into device manager and uncheck the “allow this device to wake my computer” checkbox for the controller.

I have to be honest and admit that I prefer ps4 controllers over xbox, but I bought this controller to use for PC gaming and it works perfectly. I am currently running windows 10 pro OEM. I also did not buy the xbox controller adapter, so I am using a plugable bluetooth adapter to connect the controller, and have no issues with connectivity or responsiveness.

The controller works perfectly for PC games as well as emulated classic games like NES, Genesis, Dreamcast, and Playstation. The only gripes I have are the lack of an internal rechargeable battery, but I suppose one could simply use rechargeable AAs, and the dpad is not as polished in terms of functionality as the PS4 controllers in my opinion.

However the controller is very responsive and has no noticeable latency, very well made in terms of quality and durability. The controller is also a better value than the MSI Force GC30, in case others like myself are looking for a comparison, because the GC30 has a terribly sensitive and under or overly responsive dpad which registers unwanted input.

Do yourself a favor and choose this over the GC30, and save yourself the hassle of having to return a faulty MSI controller.

This Microsoft controller is the best out there for gameplay on the Xbox One console. It’s an official Microsoft controller so you know it works good cause Microsoft makes your Xbox One, it’s made for it.

It fits in your hand comfortably so playing for hours straight is no problem. The joysticks rotate 360 degrees with ease so moving in your game is smooth. The buttons and triggers all work easly too, one push is all you need.

Its very easy to sync your controller to your Xbox and the instructions are included. Once you sync the controller you dont have to anymore it saves it all you have to do is hold the middle button down and your Xbox will turn on.

It takes two AA batteries to work or you can plug a ubs wire into the controller and plug that ubs into the xbox to power it or buy a rechargeable pack. Definitely the best controller to use for tour Xbox One.

For some reason the black one is cheaper than other colors but all are still a good price. The materialbis high quality I drop them so much and the still work like new.

This controller is great if you need a cheap spare for the original Xbox. It even has analogue face-buttons, which is quite rare for third party controllers. It does feel very cheap, but for the price, it’s hard to argue.

Controller works fine for most common users, it feels good in the hand, seems to have no stuck buttons. I haven’t had it long enough to speak for the durability of it. It seems made well enough. The reason why I did not rate this item higher, it DOES NOT seem to work on LINUX based mod tools, such as the ones required to TSOP an XBOX or clone a hard drive with CHIMP.

So if you are buying this and you do not have an original controller, you will still need to purchase an additional original controller. For this reason I rated the item to reflect these shortcomings.

Well constructed, great in the hand. If I dare say, I prefer it over the original “s” controller. There have been no issues and I am really happy with it. I may buy another. Works great on all of my retro games/emulators.
