20 Best Xlr Speaker Cable (2022 Updated)

Cables with GREAT connectors. Don’t be misguided by cheap-o prices. Plenty of them available. But, the connectors are seldom good. Nothing worse than intermittent connections, trying to figure out whether it’s a bad mic or cable.

And, from my experiences, it’s usually neither. Cheap, junk connectors are almost always the problem.

For the working musician who doesn’t want to bring out their expensive cables but also needs quality, reliability and good sound, these can’t be beat. I’ve used cables that cost a few bucks more and can’t last even an entire gig.

It has solid connections and a obvious 25ft length (Mine,at least),for plenty of movement,if that’s what you need to. I personally have used this at 2 very different gigs,for 2 different reasons,and for both it held up without any tape or whatnot.

The ONLY thing,if I had a “con” about it,is that it’s kinda stiff,but,I’ve only used it twice,and might have to kinda break it in.

My new interconnects have improved my sound stage, bass and smoothed out my upper mids. I use the node2i streamer and primaluna evo 300 with focal speakers. A big improvement. Cables need to break in Up to 100 hours.

My first XLR cables, recommended by RS salesman. Connected to Audiolab 8300a and 8300 CDQ. Sounds pretty good to me but I’ve nothing else to judge them with.

Just breaking in but already I can hear a major difference between RCA and XLR. Definitely an important upgrade to any hi-fi setup with balanced outputs.

I have a Presonus 16. 4. 2 mixer and had intended to purchase the snake that Seismic makes specifically for that configuration. Unfortunately, that model was out of stock in the length I needed. However, the representative that I spoke with on the phone was extremely helpful and recommended this model.

The model has suited our needs perfectly (with the use of a couple of adapter type cables) and I’m actually pleased it worked out this way, because we ended up with a more versatile snake. The snake seems to be of good build quality, has worked perfectly, and was well packaged.

I’m not certain that you could find a better value for the money! I would highly recommend this product and the company in general, due to the excellent product features and customer service!.

The stage box is made solid. Strong enough to handle the road. I like the strain relief on both ends and the hanger is nice. I like the fact that I can field repair individual plugs on the spot. Customer service could not have been better.

They were more than willing to do what was needed to fix my problem. I will definitely do more business with them in the future.

O originally ordered the SACB-16X8X100 snake and honestly it was horrible. The circuit board makes a pop sound and the wires were really cheap. I reordered the SAEM-16X8X100 and it is really the best snake on the market for the price range.

These cables are pricier but cannot be compared to other products. It’s worth every penny! These are found in professional studios all around the world and its for a reason! This is an absolute must need product is your using studio-grade gear in a small home studio or a larger professional studio.

I recently upgraded my interface, and used my existing cables to hook up all my equipment. After a while I decided to upgrade the cables and boy what a difference it made! I quickly replaced all my cables to the Mogami Gold Series.

Adding all these super clean quad mic cables to my signal chain, plus a Firman Power conditioner, cured all the noise problem. I could hear a single noise. I am totally a fan of this product and completely recommend it to all!.

Based on Mogami’s reputation, I trust these will be the best money can buy. HERE is the problem I have with them. Okay, NOBODY said or ever claimed these cables are flexible and tangle free. I have just learned there is a reason for that.

SOMEWHERE in some basic text maybe it HAS to state that it is wise to handle cables with ‘some’ degree of care so as not to break the shielding inside the cable. Flexible these are not. Would I trust someone to handle these cables with the same amount of care and respect I extend them? I have trust issues in the first place as it is.

Bottom line to sum another million things I could say right now and I have not even tested them yet and even if they are beyond perfect; now. due to the amount of care I put into ensuring not to twist them beyond a point that would disturb the integrity of the cable I STILL give the 50 foot cables only 4 stars ($109.

95) studio version, not for stage which cost more so maybe those are more flexible but THESE ha.

The quality of Mogami cables is legendary! Step inside any studio worth its salt, and you will find these cables being used. The build quality is 10/10 as well as the audio quality of these cables. If you are serious about your sound, these are the cables you need.

Love them I know my cable is Blue So keep your size 13’s off my cable or else’ lol!!! I use a “plexiglass sound Shield for my amp” and with the angle plug I have no issues placing my Mic , with limited room.

I like bundle packages. 8 cables, great deal. Rockville brand works great. Package arrived as scheduled and no damage. Shipping time is a bit longer than other places, but for a great deal I do not mind the wait.

The cords are mostly excellent, and I’ve used them for gigs already. Being able to immediately and consistently identity my own cords in the mix is fantastic! I give FOUR stars instead of 5 only because the cords are thinner than I thought and the shrink tube is wrinkled at the ends.

That doesn’t instill confidence. Functionally though, they’re excellent.

I’m connecting a line level signal coming out of a Radial JDI box to a Universal Audio Apollo Twin (Mk 1). At first I tried connecting these two units via XLR to XLR (i. e. a standard mic cable) but the Apollo Twin has one of those combo XLR/TRS input jacks and if you insert an XLR cable into it, the Apollo Twin defaults to MIC level.

So in order to switch the Apollo Twin to LINE level input, you need to insert a TRS cable, hence my purchase. I know there is a lot of arguments online whether premium cables make a difference to sound/tone and I fall under the category of the skeptics.

Premium cables may sound a tiny bit better but I doubt the difference is night and day. The reason I still bought this despite my skepticism has more to do with build quality and reliability than sound/tone.

These Mogami Gold Studios are superbly built and I am confident it’ll last me a very long time. A lot of arguments over whether premium cables make any difference whatsoever, but I didnt buy it on the strength of sound quality.

I’ve tried saving money in the past by buying cheaper cables. DON’T. Since it’s lifetime, you only have to pay for them once. Forever. There are other lifetime cables, but do you want to spend a lifetime with Livewires when for a few bucks more, you could be using much better sounding (and more reliable) Mogami for the rest of your musical life? I would recommend these to a friend, and even if you weren’t my friend, I’d recommend them anyway so you don’t have to borrow mine when yours fail at the gig.

I got this cable because I needed something to run a mic into the TRS mic input in my Kustom Sienna 30 acoustic amp. I admit I haven’t played with it a lot yet, but when I turned up the level, the cable became extremely microphonic – that is it made noise every time I moved it.

Even just brushing my finger against it. None of my cheap cables do this. It’s not a huge deal because I’m just using the cable in a studio setting, but I was surprised that this happened given all the positive reviews I had read about Mogami cables.

Overall, the cable sounds good and provides good clarity when you’re not moving it, but personally I think it was a waste of money and if I hadn’t thrown away all the packaging I would be returning it.

I’m a seasoned professional musician. I love cords, especially high end – between my recording studio and live gear, I easily own 10K worth of cords. Well made cords can last years if taken well care of and its worth the investment.

When you hold these in your hand you just know, these are very well made and built to last. The convenience of running power and xlr together saves valuable time obviously (if you save 8 minutes per setup, 8 minutes per take down – if you do over 70 events per year, that’s 18 hours of your time).

Because they are so well made, they are a little on the heavy side and may not be practical especially the longer runs – unless you are into setting up and breaking down at record speeds. I highly recommend these and based on my research, they are the best ones currently manufactured.

Very nice cable. Helps make cable management nice and clean. Stage looks cleaner and connections are quick and simple. Highly recommend this product. Protective jacket is very flexible and rolls smoothly yet still offering great protection for the inner cable.

The fact that these wires are 100 ft. Long and provide the freedom to setup my speakers in places wherever they are most effective is a definite plus. The fact that the power and audio input cables are tethered together make it less of a problem to pack and unpack when used.

This item is an absolute game changer in setup flexibility!!.

I needed a way to connect more than two wireless receivers to a speaker and this worked perfectly. It also saved me $275 from buying a mixer which was my only other choice.

I have about 100 of these total in circulation in my live sound business which runs 2-3 rigs wide almost every weekend. They’re almost as durable as the high dollar cables as far as I can tell. Impossible to complain for the price and light years ahead of the cheap cables from the typical online music stores.

These are pro grade and have the best Neutrik – copy ends I’ve encountered yet. Buy with confidence.

Let me begin by saying that I’m an electrical engineer by training and I’ve made plenty of my own mic cables from raw cable stock. Assuming that I were to use top-quality cable and connectors, and figuring a few minutes of my time, I simply can’t beat the quality and price of this ready-made cable.

These have a lovely feel to them. the connectors are solid, the cables feel soft and supple and have a reassuring weight to them.

It’s just a simple relatively cheap lead that let me play an iPhone through a PA system (before finding the PA had a 3. 5mm input). Worked well, easy to find on the shelves. It may not be pro grade but it did the job perfectly.

These are “you get what you pay for” kind of cables. I own a couple 50′ and 25′ cables. I’ve used these for band practices, recordings and weddings here and there. They work fine, no noticeable sound quality issues.

Worked fine during and after a rainy wedding. But these don’t have lifetime warranty, they feel cheap and don’t wrap nicely, enough where I wished I spent more on better quality cables. These aren’t what you purchase to invest in for your first batch of cables.

These are better suited as backup cables, for non critical events, or people just getting into music/audio who may not be too serious yet. For the price and depending on usage, I could recommend these.

Ordered 6 each of 2 items. One item, the right angle connectors are good, all the same. The other item, received 5 of the same and one of a different style. When I order 2 part numbers, 6 of each, the parts should be the same item.

I like all my cords to match, as these are paired in 2’s when I use them. I don’t think I will be buying from this company again. First impressions are very important to me.

I bought this cable to use as a backup. On the first gig we had after making the purchase, our much more expensive cable gave up the ghost. Luckily, we had this, and it worked out fine. I still wouldn’t want to use this as my go-to, though.

It feels pretty flimsy in comparison to more expensive cables. Just about any cable will fail at one point or another. It’s a great idea to have a backup, and this one does that job well. For that purpose ONLY, I recommend buying this if you can’t afford the alternatives!.

Worked perfectly. Connected my HT receiver ‘LFE’ channel to external amp ‘XLR’ for a passive sub. No ‘hum’. Thick cable. seems durable.

Construction of the cable is decent, no complaints for the price. For my use case it didn’t work, but it’s in a box for possible future use. Read below for details: Bought this to adapter a consumer receiver subwoofer output (Yamaha RX-V673) to a pro audio amp input (Behringer EP4000).

Subwoofer output was not high enough because of the difference in consumer (-10dBV) and pro (+4dBu) input levels. So I picked up a used Aphex 124A and that has been working well to boost output of the consumer receiver up to pro line level.

I just bought a power amp for my stereo that I’ve waited over a year to save up for. I have a ten year old receiver and wanted a good cable to connect them. I never knew there was a shielded cable that was exactly the right length with a RCA male on one end for the receiver and a 3-pin XLR male on the other for the amp.

For under $ I was able to connect my 3 channel power amp to the receiver with no interference from all of the other A/V equipment I use. I was an electronics technician in the Navy and know that this was the best option for my system possible.

Quite simply, these microphone leads are excellent quality, and priced very reasonably, the life time warranty is great too.

We now have all our mic leads colour coded which makes life so much easier, this lead was slightly more expensive than other leads weve bought but its definately a nice thick rubber which is very flexable and the XLR plugs seem to be better quality too, it works great and with a lifetime G/tee I think I would buy these leads rather than the slightly cheaper alternatives.
