I received the Coleman – Tidelands Sleeping Bag 30 Mummy Ble C001 for a Camping trip and I love it. It kept me warm the whole night and it is also very soft and thick and comfortable. I love that it goes around your head because that just keeps you that much warmer.

But if you don’t want it around your head just fold it over and you have an extra pillow. The zipper goes up and down very smoothly. This sleeping bag is very well made. I have used Coleman products as far back as I can remember and they are a very trusted company.

I can always count on Coleman for great durable and well made products. I love this sleeping bag and will be purchasing more for the whole family. Thank you Coleman for always going beyond for your customers.

This sleeping bag is fantastic! It is so warm and soft! Perfect for camping on cold nights. It is so plush and I love the hood for keeping my head warm. The quality of this sleeping bag is great. It zips very smoothly and easily.

The seams are strong and tight. It is so very well made as I have experienced with all my Coleman products! It is a great size and it fit very easily in our tent. It also was very easy to roll back up which I have often struggled to do with other sleeping bags.

Holy smokes, I love this sleeping bag. Don’t tell my wife as I may end up having to sleep in it outside. Ha. This is the best sleeping bag I have had in my 50 years which many have been camping years.

This sleeping back is so comfortable to lay on and in. It surrounds you like a mummy. It really is perfect for very low temps should you choose to sleep in a tent. It also has a little pocket for your phone that is useful to keep track of your phone.

Another nice feature is a dongle on the side to help with rolling it back up. That is always a frustration when you are trying to roll up a bag with this kind of material.

This Coleman mummy sleeping bag definitely exceeded my expectations. It has a silky, fluffy interior, a soft, smooth exterior, and is stuffed with a snugly, ultra luxe filling. You are sure to fall asleep fast after a long day outdoors.

This lightweight sleeping bag is well designed and has so many great features. Its heavy-duty zipper has two large, sturdy pulls with convenient tabs for easier gripping and zipping that won’t snag or get caught up in the fabric.

There is also an added insulation cuff below the neck that can be left out or tucked in to keep cold air from entering. As an extra bonus, there is a convenient pocket below the neck that is perfect for your keys and phone.

I love that this sleeping bag has a stuff sack for storage. I didn’t think I would be able to get it back into the sack. But because of the highly collapsible filling, it quickly compressed into the sack without the hassle of rolling it up.

Plus there are compression straps on the sack that can be pulled to make the bag even more compact when needed. While this sleeping bag is designed for cold weather, I’ve only had the chance to use it in moderate weather.

Surprisingly, it was not hot inside and I kept comfortable by adjusting the foot and head openings with the two zipper pulls. Since this is a mummy sleeping bag, I would advise checking the measurements to make sure this is the right size for you.

I expect this bag will last for a lifetime of camping adventures because Coleman is a name I can trust for high quality, dependable outdoor products.

Pros: Finally a sleeping bag that combines the “mummy style” back country shape with a looser interpretation on the tight fit. Plenty of space for a 194cm guy who likes to turn around while sleeping, with side space for arms and knees.

The zipper is phenomenal, with the small plastic addition guide it does not catch the side materials and finally a bag that you don’t feel “trapped in” due to a stuck zipper. The leg opening is cool, and having a softer material for the legs is also nice.

One coud open the zipper at the leg and still walk around without the need to totally come out of the bag (did not try it, but might be handy for “sleepwalkers :-)”. Con: The inside material feels a bit plasticky for my confort.

It is not too heavy but is a couple dg more than I would have loved measured at 2. 7kg, some 0. 5 kg more than a trough backcountry bag, but not too much for still qualifying for carry on. The holding bag is a bit tight, it takes a bit of wrestling to put it back and I wish the compression stripes would have gone around the bottom to so one does not have to reinforce them.

Overall a great bag for the tall and wider armed person. To big for a smaller body. I got it at Canadian Tire so it is good investment. A bit to expensive on the regular price compared with similar Wood bags.

None if the Woods bags go over 84cm with this one is 91cm and wide at the knee too so that made my decision towards this bag.

This mummy sleeping bag works magic! It is hands down the best sleeping bag I have ever used. My family and I enjoy camping and are always looking for good gear. This sleeping bag is a MUST for any camping families like our own.

The night this sleeping bag arrived my kids begged me to set up a tent in the backyard for a camping night. I obliged, and they were happy as can be. Although the weather was kinda nippy (40 degrees F) this sleeping bag kept them so warm.

At first they were fighting over this sleeping bag because I only had one and my older sleeping bags were no where near as warm as this one. Thankfully, they figured out a way to fit in it together (it’s a pretty roomy sleeping bag), but I will most definitely be getting more of these.

They are awesome!! Not only do they keep you warm at freezing temperatures, but they also have venting so you can create your perfect temperature. The zippers are this sleeping bag are nice and strong.

The material is incredibly soft and cozy. It is very well insulated and has special technology to keep the heat in, but surprisingly it’s not too stuffy or too warm. I really appreciate the option to kick my feet out as well if you need some air down there.

Its also compressible so it packs up easily. This sleeping bag is a must have for any campers out there. It is super warm, very roomy and has great ventilation. I’m sure you and your kids will love it as much as we do!.

I have 2 additions to my earlier review. First is a shout out to Klymit for replacing the compression bag, thanks ya’ll!! Second, I got cold at 14F but found it was my error as I didn’t have the bag zipped over my shoulder nor the hood cinched tight.

I camped the following wknd in 18F with the zipper and hood tight and I was warm as toast in Ohio. This is a keeper. 🙂 Highly recommend this bag.

This sleeping bag was very comfortable and extremely warm. I only used it on one trip so far, and the temperature only got down in the mid 30’s but I slept with the bag fully or partially unzipped most of the nights and was plenty warm.

The quality of the Fahrenheit -25 degree sleeping bag is great. The is not a backpack sleeping bag, it is 10. 5 lbs, but I bought it for winter camping. It will keep you warm in 10 degrees, maybe too warm, with a light base layer and good pad.

It is comfortable. Zippers are not YKK but are still quality. For the price and quality it is worth it. Next, I will be looking for a backpack sleeping bag, a backpack and a backpack tent.

These bags are great. Took them up for trout opener with my woman and zipped em together and worked well. Important thing is if you want to zip em together is that you must buy a left hand and a right hand to make it work.

Its a little different having the zipper in the middle instead off to the side, but thats the only way to make them work. Not a game changer. Just diffenet. Also i have not tried it solo but with two there’s plenty of room.

One night when it snowed a bit and was cold i had to put on a layer of clothes. It was just barley freezing temps i had to guess around 20’s not -25 like the bag is rated for. So Keep in mind if You are connecting two of them together the extra open space may be the reason I needed to put on extra clothes.

But all in all it was a very comfy warm sleeping bag.

This sleeping bag has kept me warm and cozy in my van in temperatures down to 19 degrees Fahrenheit. Time will tell if it continues to perform in subzero temperatures this winter, but I expect it will do just fine.

The xxl size great too. There is plenty of space to have a blanket, a second sleeping bag, or even a cuddle buddy.

I like the material. It rolls and stores easily. As far as the sizing goes, this lives up to the name of big and tall. I’m 6’2” and 255 lbs. ; I fit within the sleeping bag easily with plenty of room to move about.

I took it out on several camping trips in various weather conditions. I was warm and comfortable. On one trip the temp fell to about 33 degrees F during the night and I was easily able to stay warm. This bag is so comfortable! It fits about wall-to-wall in my Coleman Highline 4-Person Dome Tent and kept me warm on a 33-degree night.

This sleeping bag is quite large for a 40-degree bag, much larger than some alternatives. I have been using Coleman products all my life. I have never had any issues with my Coleman purchases.

As a taller woman, I have been searching for the perfect sleeping bag! A combination of comfort, temperature control and length. The Coleman Montauk is perfect! I used it for the first time this past weekend when I went camping and was incredibly pleased.

I had a great night sleep and woke up refreshed and, to be honest, I didn’t want to get out of the sleeping bag as I was so comfortable. If you’re on the taller side, there is no need to choose between comfort and sleeping bag size.

I used this backpack in 3 nights track. When it was 31-41 degree with a base layer it was perfect and not cold. So I love it because it’s warm and do the job. But. It’s really really huge! I couldn’t realize how huge it is.

It takes more than a half space of my 55L backpack. I would return it if I could, but when its arrived I had to go hiking and now time passed. I don’t think it’s suitable for backpacking at all. I will buy another lightweight sleeping bag and this one probably will use at home.

I purchased this sleeping bag 2 years ago. We have slept in some cold temperatures when making the purchased I picked this bag to have a 0-f bag when I received it the box says 15f so I figured 0f is the like I can survive 0- and 15f is the comfort temp.

I use a new nemo pad with a 4. 6R value with a wool blanket inside at 19f I woke up and was pretty chilly. I figured maybe my pad wasn’t filled all the way 4 more times I woke up at 19f and had to fire up the woodstove someone without a winter pad will die before it gets to 0f please keep that in mind I would give this a 30f survival temp and a comfort of 40f and temperatures below I would highly recommend a winter sleeping pad.

The GOOD: roomy, warm, easy to zip-up The NOT SO GOOD: heavy and bulky I’m 5’10”, 225# athletic build. I found the Coleman Big Basin to be ample in both length and width. My feet were not digging into the bottom seam all night.

a great improvement for my comfort. Additionally, I could sleep comfortably on my side and roll over to the other side. Plenty of width in the bag to include my clothes, water bottle and most other items that I wanted to remain warm.

I slept out, in a solo tent, at a low temp of 25 degrees F. The bag was plenty warm, but not too warm. I slept in cotton/poly thermals, a single layer of wool socks, and a poly wool cap. since my bald head loses alot of heat.

My tent site was on bare, cold ground. A plastic layer underneath my tent and a 3/8″ cushion under my bag. Overall, I was very pleased. I especially like that I can unzip from the bottom so I could vent at my feet.

This feature will be useful in the Spring. I’m a car camper, not a backpack camper, so this bag suits me for winter camping. This brings us to the drawback of this bag. it is heavy and I found it impossible to get back in it’s original compression bag.

It does fit easily into a military drawstring dry bag. It is easily the largest item on my camping list.

For the cost, this sleeping bag is a winner. It’s perfect for the new camper who doesn’t want to drop a ton of $ for decent gear. This will get the job done for 95% of camping situations. I got this one because my two small dogs sleep with me in the tent & they had enough room to burrow in it with me.

I’m 5’8” & a size 10, so not particularly big or tall. I just wanted the extra room for them. This bag kept us all warm down to about 40 degrees. At that point, my face was too cold to be outside but my body was still pretty warm.

The stuffing did shift around a bit towards the end of the first season, so a little rearranging may be needed. After heavy use (and camping with dogs) the stitching came loose at a couple spots but I easily fixed it with some hot glue.

I really put this thing to the test & it held up. And the price was low enough that you can replace it every few years and still feel like you got a value for your money. Two thumbs up.

I bought this to use in my travel trailer and for car camping. First thing first, I would not consider this bag to be suitable for backpacking. It?s bulky and heavy. With that out of the way, I will start with the good.

It?s a comfortable cool weather sleeping bag, but I would not rely on it alone for temps much below 40 degrees. It has a nice soft outer fabric and it is lined with a comfortable cotton type fabric. The zippers work great and the top end of the bag has a nice extension for your pillow.

Now the bad. I found this bag to be really small. I am 6 feet 1 inch tall and admittedly I?m not a thin guy. However, I am not monstrous in size and I expected a ?big and tall? sleeping bag to be more than sufficient in size to give me room to move.

Instead I found that my feet were pressed against the bottom of the bag and it was very narrow across the bag so that I had to sleep with it unzipped so I didn?t feel like a burrito. It fits more like a mummy sleeping bag with a square foot box.

Not at all what I was expecting. I didn?t measure this bag yet, but I think the other review that said it?s much shorter and narrower than advertised is spot on. Rather than ?big and tall,? I?d consider this bag a good size for people with a smaller build and shorter height.

Undecided on whether I?ll return it or keep it for my kids, but the search for a suitable bag continues.

I really like it. As someone rather tall but also skinny, the “big” part of big & tall doesn’t apply, but I like I can get in it toes to the zipper and pull it up to my eyes and sort use the back as a pillow vs.

sticking out of it like a bean pole. Yes, it’s far wider than I need but I prefer loose bedding to a mummy cocoon style. Plus, the extra width allows using a 2nd blanket or bag within it if cold. I saw a lot of complaints about not being able to fit it back into the included bag.

The bag has a tear-away label that once removed makes it wider to accommodate no person can roll it as tight as the factory. Sure, it requires kneeling on the bag while rolling it, but I had no difficulty getting into the bag once the label was removed.

I’ve yet to take it for spin camping, considering covid, but plan to soon and find it very comfy just testing it indoors. If you’re 6’2 this is a great choice. If large in girth this should fit you, and if skinny you might fit 2 of you in it, or a second blanket.

Seemed really thin when it arrived. But my husband put it on and spent 35 minutes in a swarm of angry Fall bees and only got stung once on the face because he let the hood slip backwards and the netting was against his face.

He took it off and it was obvious it stopped the stings. There were stingers all over in the gloves, and around the head, but they didn’t get through at all. The zipper hood is far better than velcro.

We have had issues with bees getting through velcro in the past, so I actually bought this solely because of the zipper hood. It does run small, order a size up. The elastic will keep it tight and a bigger size will keep it further from your body.

His XL was pretty tight, but it still stopped the stings.

DO NOT purchase this item unless you are using it during hot conditions. 1 Season Only – Summer. Mis-advertised. Should not be 4 Seasons. I bought 2 sleeping bags, and even sleeping inside one inside the other one (doubled up) myself and two small children were freezing cold inside a campervan in late spring.

It was 6 degrees outside. There was no wind chill factor or damp issues to alter its performance, as we were inside a campervan on a rock and roll double bed with a blanket underneath us. Hugely disappointed.

I went to a convention this weekend and desperately needed a sleeping bag. I chose this one and I did not share it with anyone. For someone who needs to move and stretch out I recommend this double sleeping bag.

Anyway I moved in this bag, I could not get uncomfortable so I definitely recommend this! I am also the person who sleeps with one leg out to be the perfect temperature, so I left one side unzipped for me it did not compromise the warmness inside the sleeping bag.

The carrying bag does have a small hole in one of the seems that I noticed, but there was nothing wrong with the sleeping bag and nothing else wrong with the carrying bag.

I bought this bag for backpacking and 4X4 drive up camping. I picked this bag mainly for it’s shoulder width. 70 inches! I am only 5’9 but wide at the shoulders. I can never find a packable cold weather bag that is wide enough.

So I had to buy a “long” xtra wide. But that is no problem as it gives me room at the bottom to store my pants. I need room to move or I will not sleep. This bag is great! Lots of room and very warm.

I live in the north of Sweden and have tested it outdoors in winterclimate down to -22 C at the coldest sofar, it was a bit windy and i didnt sleep in a tent or a shelter so the sleepingbag was exposed to some wind and i was not warm at that temp and conditions, but i wasnt freezing either.

At another time i stayed outside in -18c with no wind and i slept only in my underwear and a Exped Synmat 7 and i was just as warm as i would have been at home in my own bed. Im 185 Cm and about 115 kg.

so i love the extra space in the bag, downsides? -a few minor, to start with the most unimportiant one, the pocket inside dont fit a modern mobile, and i would like to see a non flexcord in the hood, easily fixed if you dont like the 0riginal one.

-All in all, for the prize and quality it´s to my opinion a very good bag, recommend it for sure.

Super thick and warm. This is going to be my all year car camping bag. Even in warm weather it will still be great to sleep on top of with a sheet or blanket. Inside is really soft and the zippers are nice.

I didn’t have any problems getting it back in the stuff sack. Very happy with it so far.

First time using this was at deer camp. I was a little apprehensive about the sleeping bag being too warm, but it was just right and drifted off to sleep before the snoring storm started from the rest of the gang.

The lining was nice and soft, unlike the ones that have a nylon interior. During the night the furnance ran out of propane and the temperature dropped to close to zero. I did not notice as I was as nice and toasty as could be.

Others in the group had a miserable night, and have since reconsidered their sleeping bag choice. It does take awhile to get this bag repacked into the compression sack. They all have asked for the web address for Moosejaw so they can be ready in the future.

When I travel I cannot stand the irritation of the sheets and blankets in hotels so I use this instead. I sleep in the bag on top of the hotel bed. It is worth the space taken up in my suitcase. Warm and soft, easy to clean and repack for my next indoor trip.

It has made traveling and sleeping in hotels a comfort for me.

I bought this because it was a great deal. It’s also great quality. I love that you can have your feet out and can adjust the sides of the bag as well. We haven’t used it as two separate bags yet but it looks like it should work well when we choose to.

The double was way roomier then I thought. I bought this to wrap around my hammock on cold nights and it works great. My hammock has a built in screen and this fits around it. Love the 2 pillows too they are softer then I expected.

The 2 person Teton Sports Mammoth Sleeping Bag is so comfortable! Its spacious enough for both me & my 1O month old Male Rottweiler thats over 1OO+ lbs to sleep in & STILL have room to turn over & whatnot.

I bought this TETON Sports Celsius Regular -18C / 0F Sleeping Bag 6 weeks ago and very happy to say it lives up to its temperature rating. I used this in a 3 season tent in 15F temperature and stayed very warm! Excellent bag and price.

I’m 5’8” and fit in this bag ok. I don’t recommend the 80” bag for anyone much taller; surprisingly my feet were at the very bottom. Other reviews are accurate regarding the bag cover…the sleeping bag is poofy, the material is slippery and the sleeping bag cover is so small I haven’t attempted to stuff it back in.

I especially wasn’t going to fight with it in cold weather. I will look to buy larger cover bag for easier packing and storage. Otherwise I’m extremely happy with the sleeping bag.

This is soft, kept me warm all night and I didn’t sweat. I’m not a camper but my apartment gets very chilly to down right freezing. For years I used heated throws and blankets to stay warm, (that at times woke me from getting way too warm), but my last electric bill almost tripled so after a lot of research I bought this one.

It’s cozy and comfortable and easy to transfer to the couch. I cover it with a lightweight blanket because my 2 cats sleep with me. I gave 4 stars because I don’t know how well it will wash or how long the zipper will last.

But I’m very happy with the purchase. Recommend.

I’ve had sleeping bags before. The extreme cold weather sleeping bag I’d been assigned in the military was never a comfortable fit in non-extreme weather. So when it was time to purchase a new bag, I approached my selection with a bit of old man’s wisdom.

This Zero degree Fahrenheit rated sleeping bag was most comfortable. Even during that “oh no” stage where I accidentally disengaged the zipper, it was only a matter of a minute or two to re-attach the zipper.

Really, really pleased with simplicity. With my campsite weather dipping below 31 degrees Farenheit, I was comfortable. I had that toasty feeling. I never felt overheated. During the night (or rather early morning) I did feel a little cold, but only for a minute or few.

Simple solution was to sleep on my other arm, and use the bag, as designed, covering my head with the mummy head-part. The bag never got moist, and was dry and light throughout the night and into the morning.

Now I must confess I forgot to bring a pad, to put under my sleeping bag. Unfortunately, when I purchased my one man tent and bag, the offer for a pad in my checkout proved to not be in inventory. I did have a couple of polyurethane pads set aside, but forgot to pack it in the car.

Sigh. Too bad for me. I dummy tested putting my cold weather coat, under the top portion of the bag. I also put my cold weather overalls under the leg portion of the bag. For most of the night I was insulated from the floor.

There must have been a least an hour, or so, throughout the night, where my bag was in direct contact with the tent floor. That accounts for when I felt a little cold. Only for a spot area near my legs.

I purposefully kept from sleeping on my back, as I didn’t want to risk injury. My concerns never materialized. I was warm and comfy 98 percent of the time. At times, despite the slow loss of body heat from the bag, directly into the floor, this mummy bag performed excellently.

It kept me warm despite NOT having a pad under the bag.

I’ve owned the bag for about a year and have become disappointed with the bag. The design is fantastic – nice insulation around the head, full foot box, insulation at the zipper. But I get cold at night.

The insulation around the upper body/torso area just doesn’t work. First, it clumps. Then it moves to the seams. The result is that around my hips and shoulders the only insulation is the 2 layers of shell fabric, often with no insulation between.

And this is still after massaging the fill back into place when we set camp. I purchased a light down sweater which I now wear when using the sleeping bag. Thus the bag is no longer an inexpensive option if I want to stay warm, and I have extra packed weight.

32*? Unlikely. With my modified use, I’d put it at mid-40s. I camp in a solo tent, with a high R sleeping pad, and the jacket. So my first impressions on the product were great, but now I feel it important that other buyers know about the potential shortcomings of the bag.

My son Joshua, is a boyscout in troop 45 out of lakeside California. This particulars troop does 8-10 camp outs a year, with a few of them being high adventure. He went on a backpacking trip a few months ago, and the sleeping bag he had, not good he was cold cold all night.

We all know how terrible that can be. After sharing that at our troop meeting , one of the dads referred us to Hike and Bike. We ended up getting getting the perfect bag, at a lower price than any other places we looked.

After getting the bag he was on another 4 day trip and when returning he shared that his new bag, kept him nice and toasty. We are really glad we are now part of the hike and bike family. Thanks for making my sons high adventure more safe, enjoyable and yes toasty on cold nights.

I really like the Coleman Montauk 40°F Big and Tall Sleeping Bag. The sleeping bag comes packaged nicely in a matching carrying bag, with a handle. What’s nice about the sleeping bag is that it is made for big and tall people, up to 6′ 5″.

The extra width and length makes it much more comfortable to sleep in. The deep ocean blue color is very attractive, and I really like the contour shape with the head rest. The sleeping bag is soft, and I like how the zipper is made with thermolock, which reduces the heat loss in cold weather.

I had no problems using the zipper, and no snagging occurred. The sleeping bag is also machine washable. I found it fairly easy to roll the sleeping bag up after use, and had no problems fitting it back inside of its carrying case.

I am in love with this Coleman Montauk 40 degree F big and tall sleeping bag. My husband and I went camping this past weekend and I couldn’t of asked for a better sleeping bag. My husband is 6ft1 and he had plenty of room in the sleeping bag.

The bag is also so very soft and comfortable. The bag is a deep ocean blue and is very well made. I am very pleased with this sleeping bag.

This thing packs really small, yet on the inside it is remarkably roomy and feels super soft. A big plus for the “Down Codex” which ensures that the down used is from at least somewhat happy geese or duck.

I live outside out of a vehicle and find the purchase worthy of this winters harsh cold, and spontaneous change. I’m not always in need of 0 degree protection and find that using the bag as more a comforter helps to make adjustments on not so cold nights so that I can avoid sweating.

I have Coleman 20 degree bags for warmer winter weather so watching the forecast for weather is necessary to make smart decisions. I find having straps attached to the bag to limit the bags versatility because you can’t get them out of the way and they like to slide up into my sleeping area in between my toes.

One has actually ripped off while attempting to roll and attach to the other end. I’m tempted to remove the other two and use them when necessary. I have experienced -10ish wind chill nights and climb into the bag to take advantage of its 0 degree ability.

The inner flannel likes to attach to my tee shirt making a rollover difficult. The flannel hangs too loose from the outer shell and wants to bunch up under my body especially when attempting to roll over.

I think the bag could be better made as when washing the very first time I discovered an opening where apparently the shell stitching was never installed. Take the straps off.

I’m a big guy that usually does a winter car trip or two every year. Tried a couple of bags before coming across this one. Tough exterior, Soft cushy interior. The zippers are the only part I don’t love.

But they might be a little small on purpose. The draft tubes effectively block anything from coming through the zipper. This bag gives me plenty of room, keeps me toasty warm and is soft and comfy. Perfect fit on my XXL cot.

This setup, with some memory foam takes me down to about 15F comfortably. No problems getting it in it’s nice, included carry bag and sits on the shelf most of the year in that. I would recommend to anyone looking for a big cold weather bag.

It’s a biggun, but provides big comfort. Probably not going to strap this to a backpack or motorcycle. But that isn’t what this is for.

After shivering in a tent out west hunting for a week I vowed to never again have a sub par bag. I have owned this for 2 years now and it is the best I have ever owned. So it is bulky but it packs down easily with 3 cinch straps and an excellent carry bag that it actually fits in.

I have used it on the ground and a cot in freezing weather and summer weather. Makes an excellent thick mattress if it’s warm out and at over 6 feet tall I can crawl right inside and pull it over my head.

Enough room for nearly 2 people and it’s the first bag I have owned that the temp rating of 0 actually holds up. If you like extra room and want to sleep comfortably in the cold then this one has been both reliable and has held up well to this point.

brought this for sharing with my husband while camping, hes 6ft and 17st so I was sceptical it would be big enough. its perfect really cosy and comfortable. if you’re looking for compact, this is not for you.

Bought this husband for camping. He hasn’t actually used it as we haven’t gone yet, but I bought one last year. I have gone through so many of the supposedly “warmest sleeping bags” Using emergency blankets, still freezing, then brought a water bottle, which helped until it went cold, wake up shivering, spent ridiculous money, so then thought maybe It’s just me, was thinking of giving up camping altogether as I dreaded night time.

But someone highly recommend the Aurora, the brushed cotton swayed me a bit & a sim was recommended, so invested also into Shangri La, well OMG, I’m actually waking up too warm. It’s absolutely amazing, best I have ever bought.

I wanted a warm bag for winter use in my Motorhome that was bigger than a single but smaller than a double. I didn’t want a mummy style bag as I thrash around a lot over night. The grande is a perfect size -I’m 6ft and 17 stone – and so warm I left the zipper undone so I could periodically put my feet out when I got too hot.

My only criticism which is why 4 stars rather than 5 is that the zip is on the left and foot of the bag only and ideally I need the zip on the right. As the bag is longer on the base than the top, turning it over to give a right hand zip gives a large flap of bag that falls over your face.

However the solution is relatively simple. Just a few pieces of Velcro and the extra length can be held back away from one’s face. Job done. Just wish the makers had put a zip all the way round!.

Really love this 3-season bag after two summers and 50+ nights in the Colorado high country. It packs small and lofts well. Even though Rab have a couple of lighter bags with a similar rating, the Neutrino 400 hits a sweet spot for me with price and features (especially with one of REI’s sales).

I lust after a Western Mountaineering Ultralight but I’ll stick with this at roughly half the price (yeah, I got it on a 30% sale). I’m 70” and just under 150# and an active sleeper. There’s room at my feet for some clothes and a gas canister.

A couple of complaints: the zip pocket is small for a phone but holds a headlamp. The pull cords around my face can be a bother. That’s about it, not worth deducting a star. I just stuff it in the bottom of my pack in a trash compactor bag and forget about it until evening.

I’ve given this bag several attempts and every time it has disappointed me. The first time I tested it, the temperature was around 15°F (-10°C) and I used a thermarest neoair mat. I was very cold and had to wear a baselayer, fleece, and down jacket to stay warm.

Thinking that perhaps I needed a warmer mat, I’ve tested it twice at around 30°F (0°C) combining the neoair with a Zlite, and both times was again cold and needed extra layers. I’ll admit I’m pretty skinny and not someone who stays warm easily, but given that this is a bag rated for -7.

5°F, this just doesn’t seem right. I’m also puzzled that others seem to give this bag glowing reviews – perhaps they are warm sleepers or the amount of down fill varies? Aside from the warmth issue, I like this bag.

It has a good amount of internal space for those with a wider build, or for keeping items inside to prevent them freezing. There is a small insulated pocket inside for a phone too, which is handy. I also like the neck baffle, which does a great job of keeping cold air out of the bag without strangling you.

I’ve seen reviews that complain about the elastic cords for cinching down the hood, but personally this doesn’t bother me.

It is lovely and warm, used it in September, in an unsealed awning. I am a larger person, there was plenty of room in there, that my husband and I did not have to fight about space. The only little problem that we had was that unless the side was taut it was a little difficult using the zip till we could used to it.

Bought this for my teen. Thought if the dog wanted to sleep with her she could too. As a joke my teen son climbed in and they both fit and the dog. So it’s very long and very roomy. Thinking of buying one for my son too.

It’s a thin bag. But for summer camping or sleepovers it should be fine. We always have extra blankets so we aren’t worried. It comes with a thin bag with no handles. It’s very thin but we were able to get the sleeping bag back in the bag carrier which we didn’t think we would be able to.

The sleeping bag is very long too. I gave it 4 stars because the zipper is tiny and not heavy duty material.

I bought this a month ago to use inside a Semi-Truck. I had to go on a three week trading shift as a student I a semi truck. I had to share a small space and the sleeping bag was way better than bringing linens.

It was warm and had plenty of space, but, because it was an indoor sleeping bag I didn’t bake. It’s been perfect. And, the oversized version was awesome.

I got this because I was looking for an oversized sleeping bag so I can still move. It’s bigger than I realized and so comfortable. I can pair with extra blankets if necessary and all of me fits inside.

Great purchase. I love it.
