20 Best Yard For Dogs (2022 Updated)

I bought this kennel as an early birthday present for my dog Nova who actually turns 7 today 🥰 and she loves it. It took about an hour and change for my sister and i to put it together. We didn’t need any tools.

all the pieces and parts were easy to figure out. I am a renter and have a very small patio and this fits perfectly in the space I have with room for me to have a chair beside it. nova weighs 70 pounds and her litter mate (the dog on the left with the claws lol) also weighs about the same and you can see both of them put their body weight against the side and the kennel didn’t move at all.

It is very sturdy and well made for the price. I highly highly recommend this kennel so far. I will update in the future if anything breaks or rusts but for now I am giving this a 10/10 for bully breeds especially.

My dog is very strong and isn’t used to being in a kennel as she has never had one as an adult. but I wanted her to be able to hang out with me while I am in my garden and not have to worry about anything happening to her (other dogs or kids walking by getting her riled up) great price easy to put together.

Best $200 I’ve ever spent in my life.

Easy to assemble, sturdy and absolutely does the job. It fits a small dog bed, water bowl, small toys and puppy pads in it. It’s not super large, there isn’t enough room in there for my 9 week old to run around and play.

But big enough for her to stretch her legs and will be big enough for her to fit comfortable when she is a full grown Rotty. I wish the top covers came in different colors or at least solid black. I would love pink because I’m female and so is my pup, plus the top is ugly in my opinion but that is only a small aesthetic issue.

This cage is small enough to fit in my 900sqft apartment. Sometimes my girl makes such a mess that I have to flip the whole cage on it’s side and clean the area, it’s light enough to do so, but not so light that its weak.

I do love this product and for the money, I am very happy with my purchase and my pup is also very happy with her new giant walk in cage/ house, verses her very small (large) kennel. It’s not a cheaply made product.

On a side note, if you don’t want to flip the cage over and clean it, you will be bending over to reach in, the door way is for dogs, not humans.

Not happy! The cover is this cheap silver material and the kennel is low quality and cane with nothing to secure it, which I would have to pirchase separately. There is no way this kennel would be secure enough to keep my larger dog inside.

He could knock it over on his own.

I purchased this dog pen from Chewy and when I opened it I noticed a piece of plastic that is needed to secure the gate was on the floor. Upon closer look, I could see it was cracked off. The return process was great and easy, but this pen is not good quality.

I also purchased it from another store and that dog pen was received broken and in worse shape. I am glad I did not get one that was intact, because it seems that the pen’s construction is faulty and it would have eventually cracked.

Thank you Chewy for making the refund process easy.

LOVE this pet yard. I bought two hoping that I could join them together to create a bigger enclosure – and this was no problem at all. It took me about 20 minutes to set up. The only hitch is that one of the purchases was clearly returned by a previous buyer (box was re-taped, styrofoam was torn up, panels were mis-aligned).

But Chewy was wonderful and sent me out a replacement right away! So we’re all set up and my 30 lb Bernedoodle puppy has a great place to hang out. Panels are sturdy and don’t move much. There are plastic connectors for each panel that sit on the floor, so there’s no scraping of my hardwood floor.

Can configure in any shape I want. Door is easy to open. I was worried I’d need 2 hands, but can do it easily with one hand – latch is easy to open and door swings nicely. And the sleek white glossy finish looks nice in the living room.

HIGHLY recommend :).

I highly recommend this fence, yard, pen or whatever you want to call it. It’s a well made steel product with adjustable screw knobs on top for multiple configuration options. I bought two of these (one from Chewey) and couldn’t be happier.

The gate section can be reconfigured to be where you need it. I’ve seen these for $124 at the big W and other retailers so it’s a GREAT value at Chewey. If you need one for a pup, kitty or other animal I’d recommend you jump on it before the price goes up and while they are available.

Okay, so I have a two year old Husky and he loves to run. I put a fence up in the backyard and he learned how to unlock himself, then I put a wood 2 by 4 board across it and he chewed a hole in the fence, then I put a heavy duty table across the hole and whatever else I could find and he still got out.

He’s very smart. The neighbors are afraid of him because he’s a big dog but he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Now I’m training him with the underground fence. First, it was easy to install and it comes with white flags to put up where your fence is.

You train your dog by walking him where the fence is and give him some treats if he doesn’t try to cross it. Do that for as many days as needed. Now for the collar. It has 10 settings of static correction.

I placed it on my arm at the settings of 8 because I wanted to see if it was going to hurt my dog, because that’s the last thing I want to do. It did hurt somewhat but like I said with the proper training this fence will work.

Like I said before my dog is smart and he catching on fast.

The PetSafe In Ground fence worked great in our yard! We aren’t allowed to have traditional fences in our subdivision but wanted to be able to keep our goldendoodle safe and in our yard. This system was a bit of a project to install in comparison to hiring a company or something, but the directions well clear and concise and it wasn’t difficult to install.

We borrowed My dog was very receptive to the training with the boundary flags and picked up on the boundaries very quickly and easily!! Petsafe had some helpful videos on their website which helped guide us how to begin training as well.

The system seems really reliable, and I love that I can know that she is safe and gets to run and exercise without having to worry constantly. The collar is lightweight and comfortable for my dog and easy to adjust.

I highly recommend this pet containment system to keep your loved fur babies safe!!.

It took a little bit of work but once we got it together my dog is no longer an escape artist. We fist went over the area that we wanted to “fence in”. We then placed the stake flags and plugged in. Put the collar on my fur baby and there you go.

It really is pretty easy to set up. My German Shepard went to go out the area that he normally jumps out to go visit the neighbors and he made a little yip sound and came back to me. I watched him later from inside the house as he tried again and cautiously came back to me.

He hasn’t tried it since and its been at least 3 weeks. He avoided that area for a few days but he’s ok to play in that area again, he just doesn’t try to jump the fence. It’s a darn near perfect system it just takes a while, at least it took us a while to map out the area just right.

I purchased this as a way to confine my 90lb Labrador Retriever following major leg surgery. I did have the product in the house. The fencing along the base was completely secure; however, within 30 minutes of being left inside the pen, he chewed the zip ties and managed to crawl out through this tiny opening at the bottom! While this is probably a good product, if you have a determined dog like mine, it may not work for you.

I have 2 two 100 lb huskies. They fly and hop fences, they run when I call them, they destroy everything I buy them and have accidents in the house during New Years and the pandemic. They are my best friends and companions.

Because of the crate, I have piece of mind that they are safe. Too many distractions for these monsters. Ambulances constantly, coyotes, other dogs on the run. I am very happy with the crates and very pleased with Chewie.

I bought the kennel with the intention of housing my dog in there for a couple of hour while I had guests over. It made it through for a few hours but it was too easily damaged. The zip ties provided to hold the fencing and shade break easily.

The fence itself is thing and can be bent so easily. These kennels are good for pet owners whose pets won’t try and escape. If you’re a Husky owner like myself, you’ll have to reinforce it by buying steel fencing and actual fencing ties otherwise it’ll only last you for one use.

Receiver failed in less than 6mo. I bought the dogtra, having been fooled into thinking it was a better product by their higher price tag and marketing, mainly looking for a waterproof collar. Wishing now I would’ve saved 100 and gotten a lesser known brand.

Customer service is barely adequate, no paid postage on warranty repairs, no troubleshooting advice (probably a failed battery but I’ll never know), slow turnaround time, then you get a repaired or replacement collar that’ll carry a 90 DAY WARRANTY! That’s right folks, the remainder of my 1 year warranty (slightly over 6 months) has been reduced to 90 days because their low quality product needed to have warranty repairs.

Unbelievable, literally unbelievable that a company like this is still in business.

Product was as advertised. 8 stimulation settings permit the use of the level of correction that is appropriate for each dog. Dogtra makes quality products and this fence seems to be well made too. The actual collar could be better.

A large improvement would be if Dogtra added a bungy as they have with their training collars to make it easier to take the collar on and off the dog since it is not worn constantly. Overall, am happy with the purchase and would buy again.

Put in the training as recommended and you can’t go wrong! It has worked really well for my rescue Bull Arab x who had severe separation anxiety. I thought it may take much longer to train him but he learned quickly and was comfortable within 3 days.

I didn’t have to take the stimulation above 3. So happy with this product, but again, do the training and be patient with your pooch – he/she wants to be good and make you proud :).

My dog really enjoys the out doors but often gets out of the yard after any thing she sees moving fast. She doesn’t seem to mind being in this spacious kennel for a little while daily, Assembly was pretty fast.

This kennel will last for years.

This kennel was perfect for my needs. My 80 lb GSD had knee surgery and was restricted in walking. I was able to easily assemble this kennel in my living room to keep him close by after surgery while wearing a cone and only allowed supervised walking.

All other crates were to small for him to be able to move freely. It is a good kennel and would also be great for puppies and smaller dogs, inside or outside.

I installed this fence for my dog on a town lot that was around. 25 acres. I must say you should definitely read the instructions fully before just starting this installation as you have to do some prep work, and this is not simply a plug and play fence if you want to trench it in.

I think if there was an existing fence or something you could probably get away with just hanging the boundary wires directly to it but chances are that is not the case always. In my case I used a spade to kinda make the trench on my laid-out boundary line.

I did this after a heavy rain as that made the task by hand much easier than the ground being rock hard like it is when it is dry. I stepped on the ground with my body weight after the installing the wire to kind of tamp the ground back in place and let mother nature do the rest over time to get the ground to settle.

I did have to cross my driveway and really just shoved the wire in the expansion joint and shoved it down as far as I could. I just have to be conscience that I do not pierce the wiring when doing my edging.

For my lot it took quite a bit of the 500 feet of included wire even though I consider it to be a pretty small lot. My dog has used wireless electric collars before so the training was not so difficult, but I did put out the included flags on the boundary line during training to make sure the boundary training went smoothly.

The collar fit my dog nicely. As far as hooking up the boundary lines to the transmitter it was easy. I installed the plug-in wall unit in my garage and actually drilled a hole through a brick wall to get the boundary wire outside.

I used caulk to seal off the hole with the wire to protect the weather and critters getting into my garage through the access hole. As I mentioned that since I have used wireless systems with my dog before the training was minimal and the system is working nicely.

The Classic In-Ground Fence is perfect for keeping my dog secure in my yard. The fence was really easy to install using the step-by-step instructions that were provided. It takes about a day or two to get everything finished.

We didn’t have any problems figuring everything out. The receiving collar has 7 different levels of correction plus tone and vibration you can choose from depending on your dog’s needs. With our female pit bull the vibration was plenty to keep her away from the white flags and she learned very quickly where she could safely go in the yard.

First and foremost, I Love PetSafe! I have ways been very satisfied with all the products I have used from them. They are affordable, and are still great quality that you can rely on. I used to think that these types of things were dangerous, but I have since learned otherwise.

Static training is a great way to instill boundaries and what is acceptable and what is not. It is not harmful to your dog, there are several levels of static you can choose from. These are also way more consistent than the wireless options, and consistency is key! It’s also wonderful that you can use this in different areas of your house.

When you have kids and pets, you can’t be with all of them all of the time, so this is perfect when I want him to be out while I’m not able to stay right there with him. He loves that he can now come to the front yard, which is not physically fenced.

PetSafe has done it again!!.

instructions are not great. I found a video online instead. Instructions say to hand tighten, but this will not work for larger dogs. when larger dogs jump on the pen it loosens the brackets, which then slide to the bottom of the cage.

Even after really tightening the brackets that secure the panels together, they still become loose after just a few days. I am going to try to come up with something to help keep this from happening, but I shouldn’t have to.

I have two German Shepherd in this pen to kennel them inside the house. One is 2 years old and medium sized for her breed. The other one is a 4 month old puppy. I have read that the canopy is crap for outside weather but I use this pen inside.

I wouldn’t even try using the canopy outside here as the winds are very strong and I lost a large picnic table when it was blown away. All in all, it works for my purpose to kennel train into holding their urine longer which is why it didn’t get 1 star.

It probably works perfectly for very small dogs, but any weight from a medium to large size dog on the panels will cause the brackets to loosen quickly. You will need to check the wing nuts on the connector brackets daily for medium to large sized dogs! I would recommend this item only for very small dogs.

I would also recommend adding a dig proof mesh at the bottom if your dog is a digger and you plan to use this pen outside. If I ever figure out how to keep the panels from becoming loose from the wing nuts unscrewing and possibly being a dangerous situation, then I might give this pen better rating.

I believe in brutal honesty and you have my honest review before considering a purchase. I think there are sturdier pens out there for medium to large breed dogs, consider finding one even if it costs more money.

This is a great kennel for our German Shorthairs for when we are gone during the day, but my German Shepherd has chewed through the door wire and escaped. It worked for a short while for her, but now it’s toast.

Trying to get a replacement door and salvage the rest of the cage for the Shorthairs. The shepherd is going to need something much stronger. We screwed two sides of this to our garage wall to prevent the big dog from tipping it over.

I did a little research on the KennelMaster brand of kennels before I made this purchase. After deciding which of the KennelMaster kennels I wanted, I had to find a local supplier. No one had the kennel I wanted in stock, but the Tractor Supply website was a little less expensive, and promised to have it available for pickup faster than the other local retailers that also sell the KennelMaster brand.

Tractor Supply online had the kennel delivered to my local Tractor Supply store. The website promised 2-day delivery, but it took 9-days. Luckily I wasn’t in a dire hurry. I have a new Belgian Malinois puppy that is now 4-months old and capable of going over our 6 foot fence, but my wife is currently working from home, so the pup is not in the backyard unsupervised for longer than a few minutes at a time.

The kennel is easy to assemble and is very sturdy. The brackets that hold the individual wall panels together tend to bend when the kennel is moved, so once you put the kennel in it’s final home area you will want to retighten all of the nuts on the all of the brackets.

All in all I am happy with this kennel. It can take whatever punishment my dog decides to dish out, but so far she doesn’t seem to mind when I put her in it. We only plan to use it if we are stepping out of the house in the evening.

I bought this through TSC. It arrived more than two WEEKS after the estimated arrival date. I understand this is due to the current quarantine, but it can’t be that hard to change the website info to reflect reality.

We picked up the kennel from the local store because home delivery was not an option. We got it to my house, unloaded the panels, and discovered one panel had damage. It had a bar twisted and broken away from the weld, and it had been that way long enough for rust to begin forming in the sheared patch, so SOMEONE should have noticed before handing it over.

I needed this kennel RIGHT NOW because I am still living in an RV due to Hurricane Michael, and my 75-pound dog has to stay contained. If the kennel isn’t functional, he has to be in the un-air conditioned RV.

In direct sunlight. In Florida. I ordered the thing a month ago, and still can’t have the use of it. But there has been no offer to replace the panel, refund the cost, or expedite the situation. Don’t buy anything, AT ALL, from any California companies right now.

They can’t even open for emergency repairs.

After much deliberation of the cost, I decided on this kennel to rehab my dog after surgery. The kennel is heavy, strong material, nicely sized with an easy to manage door entrance and exit. The predator top is a plus, especially for those living in areas with bob cats etc.

I did wonder about rattle snakes though and might suggest a screen enclosure be an option to buyers to defer an exotic resident. Unfortunately the predator top we received was damaged in shipping. Ray Allen being the company it is, already has made contact with me and is in the process of resolve.

I am very impressed. I also plan to order another kennel — with a run from Ray Allen for my cabin. I think it’s the best dog company out there for quality. Period.

The first one came in the box was destroyed. Every section was scratched and most of them bent. The second one was better but a lot of scratches. I was able to put together one good kennel but I still have to paint it because if all the scratches.

It will all rust if I dont. The communication was poor. Its also on the small side.

Love it. It was I little shorter than the one I already have. But it does fit to gether to give them a little more room to roam. I found one at a garage. I live in a hurricane area so if I have to leave I have some place to keep my animals in with there kennels.

I was satisfied with the quality of the product and the ease of assembly, however I was unhappy to see that many of the fittings (nuts and bolts) had become dislodged and lost (via tears in the packaging) during shipping.

I had to purchase nuts and bolts to complete the assembly. I assembled the kennel as a “U” shape with one side attached to my house, if I had assembled it as a four sided unit I would not have had enough connectors and bolts/nuts to complete the job.

I would recommend that the connectors, nuts and bolts be packaged separately and securely, not loosly attached to the panels for shipping.

Jax is a chewer. So, leaving him in our laundry room with a gate while we worked was not the best idea after discovering he also likes sheetrock. So, we had to do something. We purchased this for two reasons.

One to give him his own space and two, to be able to bring his “own space” wherever we went. I was thinking of only using 4 panels at first but after getting it set up, I quickly realized that wasn’t enough room for him.

So, we moved it into our forer and used all the panels. It’s perfect. Enough room for his bed and 2 20″x20″ puppy pads. PLUS his water bowl and ALL of his chew toys. It took me some time to get the opening and closing down.

It’s not an easy task but I’ve managed to get it done. It’s easy to move around. It comes with rubber pads to attach to the bottom to keep it from moving around. I didn’t need them and I have it sitting on my ceremic tile and I haven’t had a bit a trouble.

Jax is a jumper as well. He’s about 7#’s now and it doesn’t move. However, I can move it without much effort to clean. And it’s portable for travel! It’s a win for me and Jax!!!.

Somewhat disappointed, there is not much flexibility between the panels themselves, they tend to be very rigid. But, I was most disappointed in that there was nothing to explain how to put the panels together, or to remove a panel, or to add on a panel.

I ended up going on to YouTube to find someone who offered some insight with this dilemma, but they were using a gate in their demonstration. Very awkward pen to use. No, I do not believe I would purchase another one of the same type, nor would I recommend it.

The sizes for each panel was good.

Worked great! Couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome in how I am using it. In the description it says not to use it as a gate however for my needs that is exactly what I needed it for so I bought 1 of them to see how good it was and its strong, lightweight, and easy to transport, and stow.

So I bought a second one, and used about a million zip ties and some wire to put them on top of each other to make it taller. And I am, very successfully, using this as a gate over my driveway. On one end, I have it staked down and fastened to a fence post that I drove in about 8″.

On the other end I rigged up a strong clip that attaches right to my house and i can easily get in and out if i need. This has held up through storms and the hot midwest sun hasn’t warped or weathered it at all so far which was a big worry of mine.

This has made my life so much easier and it was way cheaper than building a fence and a gate. Just wish this model came with a hinged door attachment I would buy one in a heartbeat.

Kennel arrived on time & not damaged. The panel height of 48 inches would be more stabilized with an additional set of hardware. The bolts for the hardware do not not screw in flush with the metal plates.

(My smaller Lucky Dog pen is of better quality. ) I emailed the COZIWOW website to see if I could order more hardware but there has been no response. Lucky Dog website sells hardware for $5 each plus shipping which makes them $10 each piece.

(way too expensive). Pen is being used indoors instead of a crate so it will work out for a large but calm type of dog.

Perfect for our purposes! It seems very strong and sturdy and it was super easy to assemble! I even turned the panels sideways to get a longer length and it worked great! My dogs are small so it was perfect to give them a little more room! So far so good, the only issue was I received two different deliverys for it so I thought I was missing half of it for a few days.

The shipment was almost a week late, but hey with corona everything has been late lately.

Perfect for uneven ground because you can adjust each panel vertically where you want it. We put half of panels in front yard as a gate we open and close when we need access to front yard and second half across steep uneven hill as gate we can open when we need access to back yard.

Highly recommend because of flexibility for use on uneven ground.

Got this for a large dog to recover from surgery. Not as strong as a large welded wire portable kennel. It does allow more room to stretch out than the large portable kennel. If your animal needs room to move around, this may be a good kennel.

Not super sturdy. Walls will moved out since they are connected with brackets (two each panel). May not be escape proof. No attached floor. Fitted tarp cover is nice. There are no cheap kennels out there.

This one was priced okay and shipped free to my door. It was packaged well.

I just opened my Small size Precision Pet Extreme Log Cabin doghouse today to assemble. It looks like it will assemble pretty well, although one of the sides is 3/16″ out of square. Because the panels are firmly glued and screwed together it will require some adjustment/trimming to assemble correctly instead of attempting to break the glue joints and true it up.

Obviously a rush job by the factory in Wuhan. The roof shingles do appear to be very well sealed and bonded together, however there are a few spots on the edges of the composition shingles on the roof where bare wood can be seen at the edges, which would allow water to get into the roof frame, so those spots will have to be sealed.

The three piece floor has 1/8″ gaps between the slats, so if you want the animal occupying the box to be comfortable when it is cold and windy, you will have to do some modification to the floor, which I plan on doing.

The statement that the box is waterproof and weather resistant is a stretch. The stain/preservative used on all of the wood surface is so thin that pouring any water at all on the wood surface disappears as the wood instantly absorbs it.

I will not put the box in service until at least 2 coats of a high quality exterior grade paint/stain is applied. If you try and use this box without putting a proper preservative coat on it, you might get one year of use out of it before it rots or suffers UV damage and cracks and splits.

This doghouse is being re-purposed by me to be a Barn Owl nest box; the dimensions are almost perfect and as soon as I saw it I realized that it could be used for quick installation during the brief annual window between December to January during which Barn Owls are NOT in their box.

All I really have to do is put an insert into the door to reduce the opening size, add a perch/balcony outside the opening, fix the floor, and of course, properly seal the wood so that it will last more than one season.

My primary reason for paying the extra money for the “EXTREME” model was the feature description that said: Its stainless steel hardware also adds to its sturdiness. THIS IS A LIE! THE HARDWARE SUPPLIED IS NOT STAINLESS STEEL, so this is my major gripe.

My guess is that China figures that most Americans can’t tell the difference between stainless and non-stainless steel. I’m a retired engineer, and you can almost always identify stainless/non-stainless steel by its color and appearance, although the surefire test is with a magnet.

Regular steel will be strongly attracted by a magnet, if it is stainless steel, you might get a very slight attraction. This stuff is definitely normal steel with maybe a thin coat of zinc – not stainless steel.

Weight Correction: Specifications say 25. 6 pounds (Actual Weight = 31. 7 pounds; 44% of that is the roof).

I bought this even though there were so many bad reviews. I would say it was a waste of time to buy this product. It arrived already cracked on multiple pieces. It really is fragile, and would have not supported my dogs weight.

I’m glad it came cracked because I wouldn’t have believed that they actually make such poor quality products for dogs. I wanted to give this product a chance and I did try by purchasing it. In the end all reviews were proved right, poor quality materials.

I was able to take measurements and built my own replica with sturdier material rather than add material to this product to better support it. I ended up spending a bit less on the sturdier material.

So I am satisfied that this product arrived damage and I did not lose money on it because I was able to return it for a refund.

there was some minor splitting in the roof trim on one side however we put it together anyway as it was minimal. within a couple days it split alot more and the other side of the roof started splitting as well.

the roof panels are now looking warped and lifted due to this issue! is there anyway to get a roof replacement or partial refund???.

To be perfectly honest, my expectations were low on this, based on the price and country of origin. But I must say its far better than expected. It’s very sturdy for a plastic doghouse. It is lightweight so the stakes to help hold it down, or maybe turn it upside down and add concrete to the underside to keep it from blowing away.

For me I wanted it lightweight so I can move it around easily to provide shade near me when I’m working outside. It does not come with a door or flap but I don’t need either so not my problem. The directions are just drawn pictures no words and easy to follow as long as you’re not brain dead.

It is a good size for my pup, she’s about 15lbs and will probably only be around 25lbs when fully grown. Also this was way cheaper and easier than building one from scratch.

Doghouse is a nice size and is cute. The parts seemed bowed at first, but everything shored up with a little push just before attaching with screws. My 14 yr old granddaughter put it together with little instruction from me.

The house is lightweight, and I am glad for that since we’ve not decided where exactly we want to put the house. Once we decide that, we will use the provided stakes to secure to the ground. The house does have vents in the front and the back for circulation.

I bought this for shade from the sun for my little dog, who likes to hang out outside. I didn’t realize there is zero ventilation in it whatsoever. He refused to go in and then I realized the thing is like an oven.

It’s worse than a hot car. Definitely Not for use in hot or even warmer temps. Sending it back.

This is the best thing we’ve ever done for our cats! They can enjoy the outdoors and be safe! We have had this system installed for about 15 years – 3 cats all of the time and not one has escaped! We have it installed top and bottom along our fence and it has to cross a small piece of our yard in one spot.

We live in an area with significant snowfall – the second year the snow resulted in the lower wire breaking – we have since put the lower wire through black sprinkler piping to protect it. The wire works through this piping.

It also works when snow covered. Super happy we did this for our cats! Customer service is also excellent!.

Works great! We bought a second collar and now my two dogs with different temperaments stay in the yard. I’m free of the leash and the fear of them getting hit by a car. One odd thing is that settings 1-4 were like irritations and my dog blazed through the fence in a moment of exhilaration on setting 4 and also just walked through it and sneezed a bit.

The highest setting of 5 was a huge jump in correction. It makes them yelp and one of my dogs wanted up in my arms (she’s not a picker upper at 45 plus pounds). It makes them run back to you so just realize that this is their reaction that they want you to help them not feel that again.

I have a friend that also uses a remote training collar for going on walks and I see now that it should work well because they run back to you when they hear the beeping. The fence works and after a short time they will know and respect the boundaries.

They both saw a squirrel the other day which is irresistible to my more instinct driven yet sensitive female. On the leash she will yank me around and endure the yank at the end of her leash for just a chance at a squirrel.

But not so with the fence and collar. They both looked intently at the squirrel and watched it climb the tree and then went back to sniffing in the yard!.

This fence works great, but it was finicky to set up. The wires have to be inserted just the right distance, but not too far or the box thought the wire loop was broken. It took us a while to figure that out.

In the process the spring popped out of one of the wire clamps so it was useless, but we found the spring and my husband was able to fix it. I really wish there was just a screw we could wrap the wire around and tighten, which would feel much more stable.

Everytime we moved the thing, the wires popped out, up till we got it into it’s final resting space. We’re a little worried the box will get bumped and a wires will come loose again. I will say that when we thought the device wasn’t working, the PetSafe team replied to my e-mail within minutes, and on a Sunday.

I was super impressed with the fast customer support. We’ve been using it for almost 2 weeks, counting training time, and our hound foster now stops about 8 feet from the fence he was previously jumping, which is about when he should be hearing the beep.

We keep the collar next to the back door and turned off, unless we’re putting the dog out. We haven’t needed to charge it yet.

This Aerial Dog Run was fairly easy to install between 2 trees, and works very well. I would note that installation goes a lot easier if you have someone to help you with the line positioning & tensioning as you climb the ladder to install the mounts on the trees/poles.

This product was higher priced than most similar options I’ve seen from other vendors, but I needed one quickly and Tractor Supply was the nearest place to get one. I’d recommend for its quality, as long as the price is okay for you.

website showed two different sets of 3 small stuffed animals, of which I got two HUGE stuffed animals that are bigger than the chihuahua they were bought for. i was expecting 6 small stuffed toys and got 2 that I can not use.

I have a 65 lb Siberian Husky who made it his personal mission to get out of his backyard fence everyday while I was at work. I bought this to keep him contained until I could “husky proof” my privacy fence.

He is a very strong and determined dog, but this set up kept him contained every day until I could complete the fence. It wasn’t that difficult to put up, but if possible, an extra set of hands would make it much easier.
