20 Best Yard Tick Treatment (2022 Updated)

Black Flag has been around for years so I thought why not when I seen it on the shelf. Somewhat skeptical I had high hopes. After all I had tried several other products that seemed to have little to no significant impact.

I raise chickens which intern is a natural draw for any predator. If they are within 5 miles and hear or smell a chicken they are coming it’s just a matter of when. The problem I have dealt with for years is the fur baring sort namely the mange infested coyote or the coon with a handful of bobcats.

The worst being the coyote. They make their rounds nightly, like clockwork, diseased and dropping off hundreds of mangy chomping fleas that intern have plagued my dogs every spring and summer. The flea battle never ends.

I can honestly say after spraying the yard and 25’ beyond the fenced yard over the last two weeks I have seen a significant decrease in the flea population. I do believe it disrupts cycles as I have noticed u lull in the infestation and have not noticed any small or juvenile fleas.

I have not noticed any large adult fleas and I do mean excessively large adult fleas. The few I have noticed are in a midpoint maturity. The number I see in population have dropped somewhere around to only 10% of the 100% previously.

I will spray again in another week and expect the flea population to be decimated. It is so nice to see a product that kills and destroys the life cycle of the fleas and that actually works. My dogs sure do feel much better and they do NOT move around scratching all day.

I do not use collars and have not applied any chemicals directly to the skin of my dogs this season. I have simply bathed them and sprayed the premises with Black Flag. This product works and works well.

I had a really bad back yard flea infestation summer 2018. I had a dog and 2 cats and was fighting the “worst ever” indoor flea infestation: the usual treatment of borax didn’t work, so I mixed borax with diatomaceous earth and salt.

and spread it liberally — no luck. I hate poisons, but I bombed my foster cat’s room TWICE, with no improvement. My senior dog was on Nexgard, but it wasn’t working (fleas must take a blood meal from the animal to be killed).

I started noticing that within minutes of putting my poor dog down in the yard, he would be covered in 10 or so VISIBLE fleas — which means more were buried in his coat. I new the yard had to be the key to the problem.

I had read up on the active ingredients and I THINK that people who are claiming that it didn’t work PERHAPS did not use it correctly. From my reading the fine print, I’d learned that DIRECT SUNLIGHT DESTROYS THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT.

So, I waited until the sun was no longer shining on my back yard, then working from the outer perimeter slightlyy overlapping the sprayed area as I worked my way backward to my patio (and left a narrow path to the outdoor spigot so I could turn it off).

The next day, as soon as the grass was dry, I did “the white sock walk” into the middle of the yard. not a single flea.

I sprayed my yard and screened in patio 3 days ago and I am still getting fleas off of cats. I believe I combed them all off the night after I sprayed. Two days later and it seemed like they had more fleas on them.

I sprayed a second time with a different chemical. Anyone else had any failures?.

Eco Smart is the best pest control product for the yard that I’ve ever used!! I normally use the spray for fleas as well but it wasn’t available and I combine it with the granules for superior results.

And I can feel confident that importantly, not only am I NOT poisoning my family and pets, I’m not poisoning the environmental!! Vitacost is the only place I can order both spray and granules online that don’t cost an arm and leg! Local stores used to carry both but that stopped, I’m sure BIG CHEM had something to do with that!! Vitacost is awesome! I’d rather purchase it from them anyhow and i can’t say enough how amazing this product is!!! It’s #1 in my opinion!!.

We have a cabin up north that is so remote they don’t spray for bugs. In the summer you can be carried away from the mosquitoes or chased inside from the black biting flies, horse lies and deer flies.

We have tried everything. This product is also a repellent. When we use this product we can sit on our deck day and night and enjoy the outside again. Nothing else works as well.

Excellent product. Effective. Bought it because of my dogs. The ticks were rampant. Last long than expected. No problems after one use. Turned family and neighbors into it.

I live in the Midwest and mosquitos gravitate to me, especially around dusk. Since using this on our yard, I have been able to sit outside in the evening without getting eaten alive! We used as directed, two times about a week apart.

I cannot yet attest to the effectiveness on fleas, as we are currently treating our home for those as well as our animals, but I’m hopeful considering the effectiveness on the mosquitos. I love that it’s safe for my flowers and veggies, not to mention we don’t have to wait to let our animals out after treatment! And your yard smells like a cedar forest for a short while after use! Not overpowering, and doesn’t stay for long! Highly recommend this product!.

I just started using the variety of Wondercide line of products – different ones on my pups, in my house and on my patio and yard. My only issue is that the OUTDOOR product sprayer is impossible to use.

I had to buy a separate sprayer to use when I reordered the outdoor flea and tick concentrate for patio and yard. LOVE the results!!! I stopped using any insecticides on or around my boys years ago so was thrilled to find a safe product.

I saw a few fleas and The Flea and Tick Pets and Home Spray actually STOPPED them with the first application. Plus my fur babies smell like Christmas since I got the peppermint scent 🙂 SO GLAD Chewy is carrying these now.

This product has greatly reduced the mosquito population in our front yard & backyard, each of which offers many comfortable havens for mosquitoes! Hopefully, continued use will keep disrupting these little critters.

I am a mosquito magnet and frequently feel that I must don my ‘hazmat’ suit for protection! I’m so pleased that I’ve been able to do some gardening or just sit on the front porch without having to be in a protective bubble! I’ll be ordering more soon! Easy to use, very effective, and it has a very pleasant smell! (Our next door neighbors use this, as well, so we both have added protection.

I sprayed this on my back yard. My little Shih Tzu went to the groomer back in March. She said Lucy was covered in fleas so she used a flea dip. I could not believe it but Lucy had dead fleas on her.

I went home and put her flea med on. Let her out to potty a few times and checked her and she had fleas again even though she had a flea med on her. She only goes out and and right back in. I figured my yard must be infested.

I live in the country with woods behind me. So I ordered this natural product. It won’t hurt animals or people. It absolutely works. Not one more flea on her. I sprayed it in Feb. and again when it got so much warmer.

This product seems to work as well as the stuff the professional service I used to use was using, if not better. It definitely appears to handle flea and tick problem. The tiger mosquitoes do return in short order, but their numbers appear to be reduced (significantly less bites per outing).

Immediately after application and the first few days thereafter (provided no rain) seems to be when the product at its best. The fact that it doesn’t kill the kids and the pets and that they don’t have to be quarantined from the yard makes this one a winner.

I bought this a week ago and use it every day on my small cavalier king charles spaniel female and once on my springer spaniel and medium size cavalier king charles spaniel boy. All dogs are with infected with fleas and we had a hard time keeping them off with regular store bought spot on treatments and baths so we bought this product hoping it will kill and repel the fleas off our dogs and home and this is what happened after we almost finish the spray bottle.

I want to mention before I forget that I been using it everyday on my small female king charles spaniel and once on the other dogs and that I sprayed my bed bedroom every day too and sprayed the dog’s bed and area with it a couple of times but now I am trying another product because this spray will actually kill the fleas but the fleas have to be visible like on top instead of under tick hair or out on top of the bed or floor for them to die.

My cavalier boy infestection was the worst uyou could she them running and jumping and the millions of eggs and when I sprayed him all die and the eggs too. The eggs became blood and my dog had so many he looked like he was badly hurt off how much blood was on him after the spray.

He had so many dead fleas I used the flea comb to get them off him and the comb was coming out completely full but he did have live fleas on him, the ones that were under the ticker hair or under the ton of dead fleas.

The springer spaniel female did not had that many since she had a hair cut and bath with blue dawn the day before and her fleas were reached easy and died and for the small cavalier female most died except the ones under the tick long hairs which I got out with the flea comb.

I had sprayed my bed, bedroom and the rest of the house with it also my small cavalier female pj’s and as precautiong sprayed her body before putting on the pj’s and she walk out the room and when I called her back as always I checked her and she had a flea on the pj where her right tight is.

The flea was not jumping or moving when I pulled her out. We went to bed without my small cavalier waking up to scratch and sleep the whole night but the next day after we got up (me and the dog) it was a flea on the bottom corner of the outer side of the bed which I immediatly spray with this product and died.

I also got jumped by a flea on my sock when I opened the kitchen door to let my small cavalier out so this product does not repel the fleas at all as you can see by my experience on the bed, dog pj and kitchen door but will kill the fleas when you see them so what I am doing until we can get them to the bed next week is combing them after we spray them to make sure we we get them and for my little cavalier that sleeps with me I spray her and rub it to her skin and spray her pj too then put her in the bed and be sleeping without problems or scratching all night and do not find those flea dirt (small black dots that are flea poop or/and eggs) on my bed but I did noticed one thing about this product it does bring out hair out on the bed and dog’s plush toys.

Use a lot of this product, and usually order 2 bottles at a time. Few weeks ago, ordered large refill jug because it was cheaper. However, with the regular bottles, once you screw in the dispenser top, it snaps and locks onto the bottle.

Found that it is impossible to remove, so cannot refill the spray bottle. Tried a cheap spray bottle at dollar store, but the product does not hold its scent in that bottle. Useless, because the repelling scent is the whole point of this product.

Infuriating. Why sell the refill jugs if you can’t remove the top of the spray bottle to refill it? This product is not cheap, and now I have to order more individual bottles right away.

For the first time ever, I noticed a few fleas (two or three) on my kitty which I thought was odd because he gets another flea preventative every month. Anyway, I ran out to my local pet store (where I really go because they never have anything I need — I usually order from Chewy) and they had one bottle of this.

While a touch strong, it does have a very pleasant odor. I used once a day for about five days and after each application dried, I used a flea comb. Lucky for me my kitty LOVES to be brushed and combed.

After the first time, I only saw one flea and after the second and third only one flea. Days 4 and 5 — none. I was pleasantly surprised that my kitty didn’t lick it off. I also liked that it is plant based.

Would definitely recommend but maybe just for a situation like mine where there is just a few.

I have tried several products (spray, fog, traps) to control our mosquito problem and this is the first to actually do the job. I sprayed the eaves, grass, shrubs and trees in my backyard and the next morning we had breakfast on the patio without any bites (first time in years that was possible).

That afternoon we got a couple of bites in the front yard so I sprayed there the next morning. A few days later I spent a couple of hours fixing sprinklers and spraying weed killer (wearing shorts) and never got a bite which is another first as they usually get me through my pants.

This small bottle is fairly expensive and I indicated it is a good value only because it really works. I subsequently purchased the 32 oz bottle of concentrate and fill this little sprayer with 2 oz of product and 6 oz of water which seems to do the job for a lot less money.

The spray bottle is easy to operate and the small size will make it perfect to take in our RV to control pests at the campgrounds. Since it is all natural I don’t need to worry about contaminating the site.

This product is great. A professional quoted me over $400. 00 to spray my property. When I asked what he used he sent my information on Tick Killz. I’ve been using this for years with unbelievable success.

Easy, cost-effective, safe and smells great. You won’t be disappointed.

Won’t be using this until tick season starts in April but for years we had the Killz applied commercially and it seemed to work well. Rocky Mountain BioAg was great, they were so helpful in giving me guidance on what to buy to apply it ourselves.

They were very knowledgeable, patient and so nice.

This works so well! My dog got fleas about two weeks ago and even when we got them off of her, they were still a problem in our yard and house. So my mom and I got this product and I sprayed it during the evening in our backyard.

I sprayed the entirety of our yard and I still have half a bottle left! I woke up in the morning to take my dog out, and I find no fleas in our backyard. Usually when I went in the yard, about 4-5 fleas would jump on me and stick to my legs.

I would have to check my legs and clothes before walking in the house so I wouldn’t bring in fleas. But when I walked outside today, not one flea jumped on me! I was astonished! None jumped on my dog either! Very satisfied with this product.

I suggest you spray it in the evening/night and let it sit overnight so it can really work its way into the dirt and kill those fleas/ticks and in the morning you will find little to no pests.

I have had a huge tick problem in my yard for years until I used this product. Guys give it a chance, it was a huge saver for my dog and my yard. Here’s my little story. I live right next to a huge golf course that has several rodents (birds, possums, rabbits, skunks, cats etc) and they do not spray their land.

My poor dog had been suffering from ticks for weeks. I took her to get prescription medicated baths and tick medication but it was not enough and I was getting desperate. Her vet recommended this brand of spray to use in the early morning or evening.

A few summers ago the cat population in my neighborhood was absolutely huge. With the cats came fleas, and every walk I had with my dog ended in me using a flea comb to get rid of the fleas that jumped on her while walking.

when dealing with an infestation of insects of any kind, it truly wears on one’s sanity. I dealt with spiders & fleas. Your product combined with D. E. rid my home of fleas. This is the 1st time in more than 30+ years there’s not been a flea problem here.

(The home I have, is my childhood vacation spot with my grandfather. Though I LOVED visiting him, I hated the fleas loved it too. I was their long lost love! REALLY!! I got attacked shortly after arriving an went home each visit with multiple bites.

Not as much as I should, but it’s so breezy here, often. I have found myself wearing it more than the shrubbery. At least I know after being dosed, insect life find me non appealing. Kudo’s for me! I like it, though, when I can get it on the ground.

It saves my horticulture from insect meals. : ).

Love the ease and effectiveness of the flea and tick yard and garden spray. It hooks up easily to hose,smells and works great. My dogs love to lay in the grass. and occasionally will eat it when they have stomach issues.

I just can’t see using anything that is toxic knowing this. Have recommended it to friends and family. I also use the Home and Garden Insect Control for ants both inside and outside the home. Again, safe, smells great and works without dangerous pesticides on home surfaces and garden.

OH! and I LOVE the exfoliating soap for me! Especially after a long day at work and in the garden. Removes the sweat and grime and leaves skin feeling wonderful! Long time and future customer! : D.

When I visited my little place in SC and sat on the front porch, my ankles were ate up with fleas within seconds. I quickly grabbed the hose, attached the Wondercide dispenser and sprayed the entire front porch – over, under and around.

When I went back to check it out 2 hours later, there was not even one flea. Honestly, I didn’t expect it to work that well! I have 5 dogs and we’ve had quite a flea problem this year (we’ve used Advantage, Advantix and Frontline, all with no success), so I’ve also been putting a few tablespoons in the mop water and using it to mop all the floors.

It doesn’t work as dramatically as it did outside because the dogs keep picking up more fleas on our walks, and the fleas lay eggs and on and on, but slowly we’ve had much fewer and the place smells great! It’s also gentle and safe enough to mix with water and spray the carpets and furniture even.

IšverstiShow in original languageI definitely needed this tick and flea yard spray. It works on any pest insects and bugs including ants. Ants are a big problem in my area as well as small biting no see-ums.

We haven’t seen a problem with fleas or ticks this year but thankfully this yard spray is effective on any bugs. These tiny flying bugs bother the living daylights out of my dogs especially on their under bellies.

This product is easy to use and attaches to a water hose mixing water with the yard treatment. This really takes the effort out of application. And I look forward to using this product next season.

After looking at the reviews decided to order this spray. In our back yard in Texas where it’s so hot outside I figured this would be a Godsend from those pesky flys. It worked for like 5 mins and once the hot sun dried it out, the flies were back in droves! I have a beautiful maintained cut yard, clean trash cans and clean yard from poop.

I sprayed in all those areas but it scared the flies away but only for a little bit. I love to watch tv on my patio but I haven’t been impressed with this spray. We are also having my Son’s Homecoming Party in a week from being deployed (Semper Fi) and I’d hate to have folks in the back with lots of food and all with these darn flies.

And my four Cheweenie’s hate being pestered by the flies as they sunbathe for a little while in the back yard.

This spring, probably due to the extremely wet and snowy winter, our collie’s yard was full of grass ticks. I was taking 3 to 4 off of her a day. Even with her heavy winter coat, they still found their way to her face and top of her head or behind her ears.

I ordered the Natural Yard and Kennel Spray from Chewy and got to work. After the first treatment, I only found 1 tick in 2 days. After the second treatment (3 days later since it rained), I found 1 very small, probably just hatched, tick.

I sprayed her yard again 3 days ago and no ticks since. This has a lovely spicy fragrance of cloves and cedar and compared to other yard sprays I have tried in the past, its efficacy is 100% better, probably because the ingredients are oil based and not just water based.

It dries quickly and does not bother her at all, but best to let it dry to prevent eye irritation if your dog loves to roll in the grass as mine does. I will be ordering this product again and hopefully with more use this spring, the tick population with be conquered for the season.

Very easy to use as well. Just connect to your garden hose and turn it on.

In early spring started finding TINY ticks crawling on our dogs feet after going outside most days. We sprayed this, and saw only one or two since then (and it’s been about a month). It smells good, too, but the smell made my dog go a bit crazy sprinting around when she went out a few hours later after it was dry.

(The smell mostly dissipates in a day or two. ) I have already repurchased and will continue to use this.

Living in a high humidity area where there are tons of mosquitos is not fun. This product helps so much. I have dogs so I have to be sure a product is safe for them. It has really deterred those pests and I haven’t seen a single flea or tick since I started using this product.

I got this to add to our flea control regimen and so far I’m pleased. We use a separate flea treatment for our pets, but I used this to spray the furniture, including our cat trees since the fleas in our home recently got out of control.

The smell was a bit strong at first, but it mostly smells like orange, so not a big deal. Even without ventilation, the odor was mostly gone within a couple hours. I’ve already noticed a reduction in the flea population even though I only lightly covered the furniture with it.

I would recommend this product as part of your flea control program, especially since it uses natural ingredients instead of harsh chemicals.

When I discovered my fur baby had fleas, I was shocked and confused (we are now assuming she got them from her last visit to the groomer). That’s when I ran out to buy a flea bath and something to spray our bedding with.

Our local pet supply store recommended this product, and it really helped with the initial “infestation. ” Thing is. you have to be consistent about using this. One flea bath and spray won’t eliminate the fleas.

I’m already on my second bottle which I purchased from Chewy, and I am still finding a flea on her here and there. Can be used after a flea bath directly on your pup and also on their bedding. I took an extra step and also sprayed these on my pillows and carpet, but have purchased the separate carpet powder as well for extra security.

I like that it’s made with all natural ingredients. The smell is strong but not a bad scent.

I rarely write reviews but thought this was worth it and I am not being paid. I have a toy poodle and a Jackabee (part Jack Russel and part Beagle). So one short hair shedder and one long haired dog.

That is important to the review. Two days ago we discovered the Jackabee had a few fleas. This is the first time in almost 6 years of having dogs we have ever had fleas. My guess is that we recently moved into a wooded area from an urban area.

It was late so I Googled home remedies and gave them both a vinegar bath. We changed their crate bedding and then yesterday on the way home from work I stopped at the pet store and searched for something natural to help clear the house of any lurking and rid the boys.

I hadn’t really looked at the poodle yet because he is due for a groom and so his hair is quite long. I came across the Tropiclean line and got the spot spray, shampoo and carpet powder. I also got Advantix.

We gave the boys a good soak with the shampoo (left on for 10 min) and then started looking with the flea comb. Banjo the Jackabee still had about 15-20. We combed them out, sprayed him down with the spray, then gave him the advantix treament.

The poodle was a different story. He still had many crawling around in his long hair. I grabbed the spot spray and began spraying the areas where we saw them and it did kill them on site. We continued this and as it lathered we rubbed it into his skin/hairs.

Gross alert, they were dead but stuck in his hair. After this long process we gave him advantix and cleaned their crates again, using the spray there too. This am Banjo was tick free! Having short hair really seemed to help.

Tyler still had just a few roaming around- so I sprayed again with the spot treament. As for the carpet, I waited a few hours after applying the powder and vacuumed. It has only been a day so I will update to see if there is longevity.

The smell is super strong, especially using the carpet powder. Not horrible, but strong. I’m hoping we caught it in time and it is a closed chapter.

Concentrated cedar oil kills existing ticks and their larvae, and kills fleas and mosquitoes on contact for up to 4 weeks in dry areas. ” We live in the Northeast and have a lot of cases of Lyme Disease in this area.

I haven’t seen many ticks this year, thankfully. However, we had A LOT of mosquitoes. My son and I are always getting bit by mosquitoes and usually have several bites. I have noticed a dramatic difference after the first spray!! I was outside for awhile a day after spraying and not a bite or did I really see any mosquitoes or little flies.

I was extremely happy with the results especially without as many chemicals.

This spray was easy to use and I am so happy it doesn’t contain synthetic pesticides. It’s been hard to find insect control products that feel less harmful to the environment, so I love that this has that benefit.

I used this product when northeast Wisconsin was experiencing severe mosquitos. Like I didn’t even want to apply the product because I didn’t want to be outside that long. After application, the mosquitos did dissipate, though it also did get cooler and less humid put.

So it’s hard to say if I can credit this product for less mosquitos or not. But at least I didn’t riddle my lawn with pesticides! I will have to give it another try in the spring. I did receive this product for free, and gave my honest review.

I used this product as directed and it did not work – it only was ever effective at making my dog resent me for the peppermint smell. WARNING this products spray bottle showed up broken and leaking on my doorstep – but chewy was there for me and replaced the entire package for free and sent me all new products – It is just a poor design for the Spray Bottle as the lid has very few threads on it and pops off far too easily.

the fleas bathe in it like it was a party time jacuzzi – they seem unbothered by the spray – (and I used two bottles worth over 3 weeks time) Find something else if your dog has fleas. The fleas are not very bothered by the spray even if you comb it through and rub it into the coat – it provides temporary relief from bites but they come back in a few hours – I deep cleaned all my linnens and doggy items – and sprayed down the entire area multiple times (at least 6 cycles) and the fleas just laughed at us.

I never use store bought pills or drops they are horrible !! For years I’ve used all natural spray made by people who truly care ! We love Skouts Honor!! We have told all our friends about this amazing product and we hope to use it for years to come !! Alyse Goldberg.

I rescued a puppy on side of road was covered in fleas immediately gave him flea pill. And waited about a hour then I purchased the spray and shampoo the both work great. The sprayer would not spray and the top came off and I did lose some of the product.

But it kills fleas very well.

To be fair, I think one application is too soon to share an accurate review. Ease of use: 5 stars. Effectiveness: too soon to say. I had purchased this because I wanted an eco friendly pollinators safe spray.

So top marks for that. Had also purchased because an online forum (not Cedarcide site) had suggested this would deter Japanese Beatles. So far I don’t think so. But I don’t believe the spray is specifically meant for that so I’ve no reason to complain.

As for other concerning insects – fleas, mosquitoes ect. We don’t have a problem with those as our pets are already treated with Revolution. I’ll keep applying cedarcide thru the summer to see if there’s an effect on the Beatles.

Hoping it puts off the deer and gophers, too.

Cedarcide is a great product! We recommend it to all the pet adopters, dog boarding, pet fosters or anyone who complains about a flea, tick, chigger, spider invasion inside or outside, there are different strengths for whatever purpose.

Also can use on both human and dogs before a walking a nature trail to help prevent any “hitchhikers”. Love the clean smell and effectiveness of cedar and lemon mix. We are not fans of cancer causing pesticide chemicals (still!) on the market and prefer using natural products for our household.

I love the convenience and smell of the Yardsafe and know from previous experience the Cedarcide products are effective. Haven’t had enough time to determine how well it’s working. The only problem is I’m not sure when the bottle is empty of the product, as it is full of water.

I took the top off, the water was still cloudy and smelled slightly, so I kept spraying.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis is by far hands down one of the best bug cleaner I have tried. The granulas are so easy yo spread. My issue is ant hills and this was like fire on the ant hills.

No smelly insecticides to inhale. Water activates and it’s indescribable. Best product to have year around. Less creepy crawlers seen on porch or windows. Sprinkle the Ortho BugClear Arian your house and along grass line and you will most definitely see a difference.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have been using Scott’s new products this year and have definitely noticed a difference in my lawn. I live in Mobile, Alabama and we have been getting rain just about every day for about a month.

I got tired of waiting for the rain to stop so I went ahead and put the Ortho Bug Clear on the lawn. We have a problem with fire ants in this area so I wanted to get ahead of the ant mounds popping up.

Well, the next day it poured. But I will have to say that so far I haven’t seen any mounds at all. Now, I’m trying to work on the weeds and spaces where I need to replace the grass. We can’t get new turf because they don’t have any grass because of the rain.

I used Scott’s seed and fertilizer in the entire yard but I recently had some trees cut and need grass to cover those spaces. Overall I think the bug clear is working and I will continue to use it every six months.

It’s a good product.

IšverstiShow in original languageI am a husband and father of 3 wonderful kids. Sadly my middle child is disabled with RETT Syndrome. Last few years we have been dealing with a bug problem. More specifically Earwigs/Silverfish, which are absolutely horrible and terrifying to think of with my children or even worse our disabled child!!! Naturally I have been freaking out an trying to deal with them!!! I have bought numerous bags of this as well as sprays, and none of them kill or even deter the Silverfish!!! I have spent hundreds of dollars on this brand only to be disappointed, dissatisfied and frustrated!!!.

I was very hopeful about this product, but I have mixed feelings now after trying it for several weeks. It does seem to kill any insects that are directly sprayed, but it definitely doesn’t repel ants after it’s dried up.

(We have a major ant issue!) The smell is also quite odd; almost like essential oils mixed with Raid. I won’t be purchasing it again.

I used this product in my panty as I had a serious moth invasion. Please note, you will need to spray twice. Empty and clean your pantry from top to bottom and don’t forget the walls of your panty and underneath the shelves.

Then Vacuum and wipe down. I used vinegar and I added eucalyptus essential oil (the moths dont’ like eucalyptus). Discard any infested items and when in doubt, throw it out. Then Spray your panty with EcoSmart and wait 1 week and spray again.

Do NOT put items back in the the pantry until you have sprayed a 2nd time. Wait a day or 2 until putting items back and be sure to place meal & grain type items, ie flour, rice, etc in AIR TIGHT CONTAINERS.

If there any critters left, they won’t be able to get to it and you are now essentially starving any remaining moths. While this product doesn’t have the greatest of scents, and it will linger for weeks, it is a SMALL price to pay to get rid of the pantry moths.

Another plus, it is safe to use around humans and pets. To prevent this problem happening again, I also soaked cotton balls in Lavender Essential Oil and placed a few cotton balls in disposable plastic containers (like a washed out and clean yogurt cup) and placed a few on each of the shelves of my pantry as well as in kitchen cupboards that have spices and coffee in them.

Vitacost sells essential oils too !.

Won a complimentary spray bottle of Cedarcide Tickshield Extra Strength Lemongrass biting insect repellent. Found the lemongrass scent to be pleasant and not overbearing. Works well at repelling a variety of ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, ants, and other bugs without DEET! I have used this product for almost 2 years and find it effective to use while gardening, hiking, camping, and participating in outdoor sports or activities.

Gentle on the skin, non sticky, and did not cause any skin irritation. Love that it is formulated to be safe for use on dogs as well. Recommend to anyone looking for a DEET FREE repellent. Intend to repurchase.

Went for a swim while camping, and there. were biting flies, millions of Natts and other insects. the worst were the biting flies. My friends brought me. out this bottle of cedarcide tickshield, extra strength they said they use on their dogs, and I’m telling you, it was instant relief.

Instant! And when I read how safe it was I ordered it before the day was out! Thank you for a great safe product. Bert, My dog thanks you too!.

Really seems to keep the unseen bugs away! Has a somewhat strong, but pleasant cedar aroma. Small, 1 oz pocket size spray bottle, easy to apply when you go outdoors, or yard, to avoid those pesky, itchy-scratchy insect bites.

Moved to current home summer before last with indoor outdoor Cat. I noticed he was getting fleas so I Purchased this product and treated inside and outside. The flea problem went away. You do need to treat indoor and out or you’re just wasting time and money.

My cat disappeared unfortunately several months later. I did not treat the next summer since I had no pets but I had terrible mosquitos, not usually a problem for me anywhere but OMG! I have a new pet dog now indoor outdoor, I plan to treat yard this year as preventative measure and hopefully it will take care of mosquitos too!.

Do to the flooding this year, i have a horrible tick problem. Even with flea and tick meds for my dogs, i found multiple ticks on my dogs. I was spraying my yard every 15 days to get control of the ticks.

This spray did the trick. After 2 applications, the ticks were gone. I recommend to reapply every 30 days.

Bought this to get rid of fleas in the lawn for a small area. Used according to instructions but very heavy application on a small area with fleas. I used the entire bottle in one application. The fleas never stopped getting on my dog where he relieved himself.

If this product killed one flea I could not tell it after several days waiting for it to work. I would not buy it again. It was a waste of money and effort.
