19 Best Year 6.7 Powerstroke (2022 Updated)

Easy install. Lost about 2 avg mpg. Looking at modifying stock box so that the intake isn’t just sucking in ambient engine temperatures. Does change tone of low rpm rev with slight turbo noise increase.

Huge sound and throttle response gains. Looks awesome, make the engine bay pop!

Easy to install even if I didn’t get directions. Looks great. My 6. 7 is getting all the air it wants. Since installing a couple of parts from Sinister my truck has never run better and I’m getting at least 3 more mpg.

Immediately after install without any tuning my truck accelerates quicker. It also seems to eliminate any delay when the truck switches gears. The quality is outstanding. It feels like a better fit than the factory.

The mounts are perfect and for my 2. 7L it actually gives something to look at in the engine bay. I have a 2. 5 inch level and it fit, HOWEVER be warned, if you have a bigger lift I don’t think this will fit.

It is a MASSIVE housing compared to factory. I can definitely hear a difference in my engine. I have stock exhaust, however when getting up to speed you notice a much more lively sound. The rubber scoop neck is also much larger for the intake than the rest.

I have noticed a massive difference in airflow and more power. My truck also is able to stay at lower rpms at speed and my gas mileage went up by about 2 mpg. The only thing I don’t like is the clear plexiglass cover for the housing is shipped in a protective tape.

The adhesive stayed on mine no matter what product I soaked it in. I also used the softest microfiber I have and it still made it foggy and scratched it. I know it’s a small complaint but I feel it takes away from the intake slightly.

All and all I love this product. If you go on their site can order there oil kit for 29. 99. It arrived in 3 days no extra charge.

Never installed a CAI before and it only took me an hour & a beer. The hardest part is taking out the factory OEM air filter. To save whoever is reading this a few minutes, the factory bottom mount bracket (after taking out support bolts on the engine bay side) just pops out.

I spent a few minutes looking around trying to figure out what was keeping it secured in the bottom before I just pulled it up on one side. The connection hose for the breather tube takes a bit of finagling to make sure it isn’t kinked – a bit of turning & mild coercion makes it seat without problems.

The OEM tubes with the push clips that have angled turning points would have been a lot easier to connect had it just allowed for it and I wouldn’t have needed the tubes they included. Another inconvenient thing was putting the gasket around the top see-through plastic piece.

That took the most time dealing with anything with the S&B CAI install outside of removing the OEM air intake. I’d you’re mechanically inclined and have already done a CAI swap, this would definitely only take half an hour depending on how long it takes you to to get the seal on the top piece.

What’s not to like about this cold air intake. The install was very easy and I had it on in about 40 mins. I took it for about a 20 mile test drive in city, highway, and I could instantly feel the difference in response and sound.

This really woke my Hemi up! I had previously swapped the muffler with a MBRP high flow, and deleted the rear resonators and replaced with Flowmaster pipe and Black tips. Combined with my exhaust upgrades, this COI really completes the package.

I pondered for months on which one to get, but kept coming back to this one. I went with the oiled filter and it is huge! I also love the clear cover so you can check the filter condition without removing a cover.

The inlet tube from the box to the throttle body is also considerably bigger. It all tucks in nicely under the hood. I am glad with my choice, and am happy with the performance. Now to keep an eye on my fuel usage and see if there is any mpg gain.

I am under no illusion that if I put my foot into it to enjoy the performance gain, but with gas prices approaching $5 a gallon, I’m going easy on the throttle to save $$. We’ll see how the mpg side of things plays out.

The build quality is honestly excellent. The mount is hefty and the aluminum cans feel like they are worth every penny you spent on this kit. The hose routes are well thought out and the connection pieces feel OEM.

The installation is pretty straight forward which is good bc the instructions are non-existent and require some google time. The BIG DOWNSIDE: the crankcase side hose plan doesn’t work for 2017+. The install requires the sensor housing to me Male/Male, but on the 2017’s+ the sensor housing is male/female.

THAT being said, Mishimoto customer was very quick to respond and sent me replacement hoses ASAP. Unfortunately, the wire tail on the sensor wasn’t long enough to make their solution work (had the wiring been long enough it was a great solution).

I ended up having to purchase for $50 a new crankcase hose from a 2016 and pull the sensor housing off of it like originally intended. Short of this oversight, and having to spend an extra $50 (which I’m still not thrilled about), this really is a great kit.

Is it worth double the price of almost any other kit. if they get the CCV hose situation figured out, absolutely. Now about that extra $50.

I had hesitancy at the cost, but after buying a cheaper unit on Amazon and NOTHING fitting correctly, having to modify everything, and still not performing to expectations, I returned for a refund and bout this one.

The Mishimoto is expensive, yes, but the ease of installation is amazing. I had to tap a single hole to fit the driver side can mount bolt at the firewall, that’s it. Whole install took maybe 15 minutes, if that.

Aside from the easy install, the unit is performing spectacularly and was worth every dollar spent. HIGHLY recommended if your truck needs an oil catch system!!.

The fitment of this catch can is beautiful. Very inconspicuous location. Looks like it came with the truck from the factory. Installation was a bit tricky. The location of the hose is very difficult to reach and tight.

Fortunately, my niece’s fiance is a mechanic and was with me when I was installing it. He was able to get in there and replace the connections for me. I had no chance on my own. I could reach it but could not remove the old line blindly as it was.

Over all the product seemed to work. I went to install it in my dash and it broke when removing nut that tightens down. The rivets that hold it to circuits separated and knob just spins. Emailed company on March 5th about issue, with no reply as of 11th.

If i get a replacement setup i may put a better review.

Installation was easy. Didn’t take but few minutes to install. Had small issue with adjustment knob but it was taken care by customer service.

This is a nice product, but if you have a Transferflow fuel tank or other, this does not work. The plug in the passenger panel that you plug into controls the fuel to the external tank, once you disconnect that plug you lose that external function without finding and splicing other wiring.

For my 2017 Super Duty 6. 7, I opted for the Derringer, Pedal Monster, and intake. This is my first diesel. now I was happy with the stock setup- plenty happy. But I had to get more, so on went first 2 items.

Running the middle settings, I’m very pleased. Drove it that way for a week. Then I decided to install the intake. Now first, the instructions are missing a couple steps, but I was able to figure out the process.

The fitment for me was not spot on, some bolt alignment was off for the tray reinstallation, and the MAF plug barely reached. I mean barely. So those are my gripes. Those gripes pretty much disappeared when I took it on it’s first roll- the difference in power and response was monstrous! Blown away.

I’ve never been a huge believe in CAI’s but this made sense, and then the proof was in the drive. For the first time in my adult life- I don’t want any more power or performance from my truck! I break the tires free way too easily now.

I’m so curious how much HP gain I achieved with all 3 pieces.

I purchased the air intake unit for 2 reasons. 1. To hear the Turbo more 2. To hear the Turbo more Took about 40 minutes to install give or take. Did not succeed like I did when I did it on my ecoboost f150.

My understanding is I need to do something completely different to the turbo in order to hear the spool like the 03 had. As for power, I’m not sure it has any extra power. I’ve ran the pedal commander for 2 years now and absolutely love it.

Had I seen that banks has its own kit for the pedal. I probably would have gone with yours. But all in all, I am indifferent regarding this upgrade. Probably could have gone with drop in filter and been just as happy.

The system installed without issue. Only concern I had was the attaching hardware was loose in the box. I was able to find everything that was on the list. Think for some reason the bag split open. Only difference I am noticing is the truck pulls smoother.

Have not seen any changes in fuel consumption. I’m sure on my next big trip I might. Still need to pull the fifth wheel. Very happy with this upgrade.

Everything went together great except the two inner bolts that go through the filter housing that attach it to the fender bracket. The included bolts were too short and the holes in the bottom of the housing were big enough to allow the entire bolt head to pass through.

I used the stock bolts which were much longer and had large washers permanently attached. I ground a flat side onto each washer so they would fit against the outer wall inside the filter housing. Also, my kit did not come with any Loctite, it was mention 3-4 times in the installation video, fortunately I have plenty.

The install was straight forward. The online instructions were excellent. The quality of the product is first rate. There is a noticeable difference in engine response and I have picked up 0. 5 MPG in mixed use driving.

There is no discernible difference in noise levels from the intake.

Install took some time but watched video and was just step by step process. Average about a 2 mpg increase. The cleaning is going to be a bit of a challenge as the one bolt to remove is very hard to access! No increase in sound but at 40 mph with my banks tuner it will break tires loose on Ford F-350 to 60 mph.

this is a great replacement to the stock intercooler tube. i use the truck for pulling are camper & boat. didn’t like the plastic connection on the stock part. this is a great improvement.

The tube feels stiffer than the stock one.the tube was also not quit long enough to fit like the stock one but i made it work.that is the only reason for the 4 stars.

Works as it should! Keeps my 6.7 Diesel roaring down the highway. 254k miles and counting.

It was a no-brainer to purchase this fuel filter kit for several reasons! Easy initial install and easy filter changes going forth, great quality and it’ll keep your pickup from burning to the ground!!! Something the factory plastic filter chamber couldn’t protect against!!.

When the item is in, it works great but installation is a nightmare. Rubber tube should of been made longer for easier installation.

Great upgrade to the soft rubber factory one that spilt for no reason on a 4 year old truck with 85k miles.

I have just finished rebuilding my entire 7. 3 L power stroke. It is a 1996 f350. The book over all for the 7. 3 had a really good detailed instructions for the disassemble portion of the job. It fails to tell you to disconnect the fuel lines on the driver’s side.

A very simple detail and easy to spot yet neglected to inform you of this. When it comes to putting the whole thing back together it has minimal instructions, if I had not had previous mechanical experience it would have been way harder to out it all back together.

DO NOT TRUST THE TORQUE SPECS IN THIS BOOK! There is a misprint on the cam shaft retaining bolts. The book chart states that the torque is 50 ft lbs when in reality it is only 18 ft lbs. I didn’t catch that and snapped a bolt off in the block and had to go digging to get it out.

Also the Ford manual says you can reuse head bolts for the 7. 3 , don’t do this just buy news ones. You’ll end up snapping one off like I did, then your gonna go digging. like I did. Over all it’s great to get the basic idea but your going to need other references for torque specs and other small little trivial things.

Not bad for the price tho. Just verify everything it says.

Great Pictures. Good information. This book is a good supplement to a chiltons book. But definately not a good stand alone repair manual. Not a substitute for a factory shop manual. But worth having for quick reference.

Author gave engine repair/rebuild from one perspective (pull engine not cab). Would have liked to see both options presented.

Gave a couple of these to my son to where to school. I bought a size bigger than normal as recommended and they fit great. He lives them. They are really nice quality and the graphics are good. I would highly recommend these.

I have a 2019 F150 and had to do a bit of inovation to make this work. The quality of everything is top-notch, however the instructional video that Mishimoto offers is for the 2015 F150 series. In the video, they briefly explain the difference of the install for 2017 , but not near enough.

It seems like this kit (which is the exact same as directly from Mishimoto) doesn’t include all the parts necessary for the install. One of the issues lie in the hoses that connect to the small catch can.

There are three hoses in total that are used for the small catch can (the third and forth longest hoses and the smallest hosr). The third and forth longest hoses are supposed to connect to each other in order to reach from the air intake connection to the catch can.

In the instructional video, it briefly shows a diagram of how the 2017 connection will differ. If you look at the third and fourth longest hoses shown on that diagram, you will see that they are being connected using some type of tubing used as a coupling.

I ended up using my stock tubing that I had to disconnect to install the large catch can because it was straight enough to be used as a coupling. Also, it wasnt very obvious where and how to install the sensor.

The video shows the 2015 version of the sensor having two male connections. My truck’s sensor had a male connection and a female connection. So for those wondering, you want to connect the female side on the air intake connection, then connect the male side to the hose peovided in this kit.

Hopefully that will help out others who choose to buy this. Other than the issue of incorrect or lack of an appropriate instructional video, everything works great.

Hardest install yet! Unless you have a lift or really tiny tiny hands it’s a knuckle breaker for sure! Once the factory hose is removed (no easy task) adding the new ones is just as difficult! I have a 2022 Ranger and I’m not sure if there’s an added electrical component that older models don’t have because there’s a clip that’s dead smack in the way of seeing one of the hose connections that made it even more difficult for me! One the hoses are on though its a breeze and looks great!.

These came new on a F150 I bought, I loved them so much I just bought a second set. You have to keep them rotated and have good front end alignment or you wont get 50k out of them. Those who say they are not good in the snow, I have no idea what they are talking about.

I was in the mountains here in Colorado in 2 feet of snow on a steep back road. There were 4x4s stuck everywhere, I crused right on by and never spun a tire. On another occasion I was going over a mountain pass in the middle of the night, there was a foot of snow on the road.

I never locked in the 4×4 and went right on over in 2wd. never ever slipped a tire not once. As with everything you get what you pay for.

Nothing not to like about these tires. My second set and will continue to buy and use them on my vehicles. First set spent over 40,000 miles on my 2000 Tahoe Z-71. Excellent traction in all conditions especially mud and snow.

The wear like iron and would have easily went 60,000-70,000 miles on that vehicle but I sold it. The second set went on my Nissan XTerra and loving them there as well. Not overly loud on the highway for this type of tire, which is surprising.

No fear of getting stuck anyplace, these tires dig well in all types of terrain and soft ground, mud, etc.

I purchased warranty on tires in January at City Station Walmart; keep in mind I have purchased at least 3 sets of tires in the past. These tires had great reviews but 4 months in and tire needs replacing.

In May I had a blowout and reached out to Walmart, they couldn’t find my info in the system so ultimately I had to purchase a tire closer to where I was (NTB). Fast forward it’s been 3 more months that have passed and I still have no replacement tire.

I spoke to Robert at City Station and he claimed he coifing my info in the system, hmm. After 3 attempts he finally found the info, gave it to the manager at the Walmart in S. C. Where I reside but not w/o telling the manager “she should have kept a copy of her decos deal she wouldn’t be going through this” now we all know receipts fade or get lost but if it’s input in the system, with the tap of your fingers it should be in the system and might I add I spoke to 3 other associates before Robert and they were able to pull up my info with no problem.

Now, the manager in S. C. Has been working on getting in this tire for 3 weeks now but so far the truck has not delivered, recap I bought tires in January, need replacement in May and it is now the middle of August and let’s not forget I reached out to corporate by phone and emails at least 5 times and have been redirected to reach out to the store I initially made the purchase from.

What’s next?.

The new pipe is a good upgraded replacement for the factory part that exploded basically. However the directions provided only told you how to take the factory part off which is going to be really easy most of the time because your factory pipe is going to just fall off pretty much.

It’s a very tight spot. Put the aluminum pipe on first and grease the silicone elbow generously so you can slide it on the aluminum pipe easily. Also take the power steering reservoir loose so you can gain access to put the hose clamps on correctly.

The install was a little crazy. I would not recommend installing when the outside temp is below freezing. Added a level of stiffness to the product making it more of a challenge to install. Good note for those that try and install in colder weather conditions.

This cold side charge pipe was the perfect purchase for my 2015 F250 6. 7L. It replaced the known for failing rubber and plastic pipe. It was tough to install but I got it done in my garage. Overall I would recommend this product.

I bought the 60 gallon tank directly from S&B and it arrived within a few days in perfect condition. I also ordered the EZ Link computer to update my Miles To Empty (MTE) gauge. I could not install the tank for a week so I went ahead and updated my computer so I could return the EZ Link without a charge to my credit card.

That process was very easy and a plus was I was able to update the fog lights to “bambi” mode and turn off the double honk when the engine is running and the door is closed. Installation took a total of about 7 hours by myself.

I jacked up the rear axle about 6 inches to give me a little more room and it was perfect. I also have a “creeper” to roll around under the truck and that was very helpful. I did not have a lot of trouble removing any of the fuel lines or the fill tubes like some reported.

Fuel lines snap off once the clips are pushed the right way and the fill lines came off OK after running a small screwdriver between the fill pipe and the hose to break the seal. I used a tie down strap to hold up the tank like shown on a YouTube video and that worked good.

I still had some fuel in the tank so that really helped support it once the straps were removed. I used a manual socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the tank and skid plate straps so none of my clip nuts broke loose from their holes.

After the old tank was removed it was straight forward replacing the hoses and the pump-sender unit into the new tank. I kept the fuel filter lines connected to the fuel pump and sender which was different than the S&B instructions.

YouTube videos showed others removing and installing while connected and it avoided risk of breaking the little fuel line connectors. The new green O-ring fit perfect and it sealed on the tank with no issues.

One error on installation was I did not make sure the fill hose was above the frame when I lifted the tank. I did not notice this until after I had the four bolts ******* in and the only way to get it over the frame was to completely lower the tank again.

Probably lost an hour or so because of this. I tried to follow the S&B instructions but did not notice that comment in the instructions even though it clearly says to make sure the hoses go over the frame.

I am not a big fan of using the iPhone to read updated instructions while working the project so printed instructions may have been better for me but in the end it worked out. After getting the tank and hoses in the proper location, installing the OEM skid plate and all fuel lines and hoses connected, and tightening everything up, all was OK.

I transferred around 10 gallons from the old tank into the new one and filled up when the fuel gauge read 70 MTE. I squeezed as much as I could into the tank and it took 52. 2 gallons. The tank filled at full nozzle pressure at a Sam’s Club without tripping off until the tank was nearly full.

Not sure yet if it will take the full pressure at a truck station. I think my truck was using 14 mpg to calculate MTE. If that is correct, I had right at 5 gallons remaining (70/14 =5) to get to 0 MTE.

OK, so 52. 2 to fill up, 5 gallons remaining when I filled up, that would leave a reserve of 2. 8 gallons assuming the tank actually holds a full 60 gallons. After fill up, the MTE read 864. If I divide 864 by 14 mpg then it would seem the tank holds 61.

7 gallons which is unlikely. At 15 mpg, 864 MTE would need 57. 6 gallons. Not knowing exactly what mpg the computer uses, I think the MTE calculator is pretty close either way. By the way, I get around 17 mpg on the highway without pulling my trailer so hopefully I can get just over 1,000 miles on the highway.

All in all, I am very happy with the S&B 60 gallon tank. Installation was longer than it could have been but I took my time and worked by myself. I have not had a second fill up yet to check how the MTE compares with the actual odometer but these first numbers look good.

The cost was higher than I would have liked to pay but I highly recommend this tank to anyone needing longer range between fill ups.

The tank installation instructions were clear. I watched several S&B YouTube videos on install as well as DIYers installing the tanks. It’s unrealistic for S&B to understand construction nuances from truck to truck but I had a couple significant issues.

First, the hangers for the front. The larger hanger was no problem. The small hanger. big problem. I could get the small hanger in, but once the mounting plate was in place there wasn’t clearance to slip the small hanger over the lip of the mounting plate.

Couldn’t put the mounting plate in before the hanger because not enough side to side clearance to swing hanger in place. I had to put small hanger in place, raise it parallel to ground and slide to the passenger side.

Then I had to slide the mount and small hanger all the way to the passenger side to where the hanger and mount almost cleared the frame to get enough clearance to force the hanger over the mounting frame lip.

Not an easy maneuver. Second, my tank didn’t simply slide right into place in front. I used a floor jack to slowly push the tank up almost into place, worrying about puncturing the tank. I had to put back and middle mounting brackets on and even with the floor jack I had trouble getting the tank high enough to get the nuts started on the front hangers.

Tightening the hanger nuts was another “hope nothing punctures the tank” moment as the tank popped and stuttered against the frame as it finally went in place. If that happened during S&B install videos, it’s not shown.

I backed everything off and made sure the tank was correctly positioned i. e. squared up and it made no difference. Same issues. DTE updated with Forscan and nice to have the extra range towing.

Great tank! Super product!! I am very happy with the finished installation. I did it with my wife lending a hand when I needed it and we did it in our driveway. I think a list of needed tools would be helpful (especially for those without a lift) – a set of jack stands with appropriate weight rating, a good jack with proper rating.

I didn’t realize up front that I would need to lift the back end to get the tank under the truck. The installation process was fairly easy but for my first such job, I would have liked some better photos in the instructions and I think the installation videos available on S&B’s site could be improved.

Take a look at a video posted on youtube on “Colt’s Way”. He’s a bit ornery but hilarious and his video does a very good job of showing how each connector works. Also, I would avoid the steps in the instructions to remove the fuel lines from the water separator – just swap the whole assembly and make less mess.

After install into 2019 Ford F-250 6. 7 did see some big improvement but it started throwing a regen code immediately. Several calls to support and eventually they “submitted a ticket” because nothing worked to stop the code.

When in stock mode, the code doesn’t come back. Followed up several times to no avail. Can’t get money back even though the unit seems to be faulty. Very expensive paper weight and the company obviously doesn’t stand by their product.

Make sure you read the disclaimer at the bottom of the site before buying. Bought this product with the unlock cable. After installing on my truck it seemed as though I had less power. Tried to down load the unlock program and it locked my pick up and would not start.

Had to contact the support group only to find out that this tuner will not work on my truck because it is deleted. Now I can’t return it and I’m stuck with a $500 piece of plastic.

THIS DEVICE IS NOT A DELETE DEVICE LIKE IT SAYS. THIS DEVICE ONLY TUNES YOUR ENGINE. HAD I KNOWN THAT. I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT. I HAD TO GO GET MY TRUCK DELETED AND TUNED SOMEWHERE ELSE. SO I ENDED UP PAYING SOMEONE TO DELETE AND TUNE MY TRUCK BECAUSE BULLY DOG HAD FALSE ADVERTISING.
