20 Best Yeti Cup Knockoff (2022 Updated)

Admittedly I bought this because I now have a vast collection of Yeti drinkware. And oddly enough each one serves it’s own purpose. Yes, I could have easily just bought the lid/straw and put it on an applicable sized rambler, but where’s the fun in that? I intend to use these in the hotter months where I can pour some mixed drinks into one of these.

I really like the feel to these – the surface has a very very slight texture to grip it, keeps the drinks cold and they look awesome. It’s just a very clean design and a well built product that doesn’t look feminine (as these cup/straws often do).

You also don’t have to worry too much about dropping it as it’s lightweight but still feels like a tank.

I ordered a 26 oz Rambler tumbler and the additional lid for hot beverages. This was on Feb 6. When the cup arrived it was clear to me that it was too big to hold comfortably and the straw was much too wide- like a straw for a milkshake.

Not for me. Disappointed, I packed the items back up in the same packaging and initiated a return. On the 18th I received confirmation email that they had received the items and no further action was needed from me.

On the 22nd I received a refund for the spare lid but nothing for the $35 (+tax) tumbler. I have written them twice to ask for either a refund or the tumbler, as I am now out nearly $40 with nothing to show for it.

It’s now March 12 and they have the cup and my money. Each time I have written they have stated they would look into it, but there has been no follow up. I will not do business with this company again (and I still want my money back).

This was given to me as a gift, and I use it daily. I have the lid with the straw which is my favorite part of this cup. Amazingly it fits in my car cup holder in my car, as well as many other vehicles.

It’s easy to keep clean too. I accidentally left it on the roof of my car once and the whole thing toppled to the ground, bouncing off the road and into the neighbor’s yard. The only damage done to it was the lid had a rough edge, so I replaced that, and there is a small dent/scratches at the bottom edge of the cup.

I can’t believe how well it held up. I also set it next to a campfire for about 10 mins without thinking (dumb idea). The outside metal did get hot enough to burn my hand, but my drink was still ice-cold.

The lid didn’t even melt (got lucky there 😀 ). It’s an amazing cup!.

I bought this for Christmas, and the lid leaks under the opening to drink. The lid also leaks out of the top, even when the tumbler is only 3/4 full, as if it is under pressure. I only use it for coffee, and it doesn’t keep it hot for even an hour.

I contacted customer service and was told that this tumbler that they advertise to keep “hot beverages hot” is not meant for coffee and that I shouldn’t leave my drink lying on it’s side. I let them know I don’t leave my coffee lying on my side asked what kind of “hot beverage” they are referring to if I am not supposed to use it for coffee.

They said I should either purchase another one of their travel tumblers or purchase another type of lid. Worst costumer service I have ever experienced. No, I will not BUY another product from you to replace the product that I already purchased that doesn’t work as you claim.

Do NOT buy this if you actually want to keep something hot and have a travel tumbler that doesn’t LEAK!!!.

Bought to replace my lost 26 oz. with the “original” cap. The metal band at the top gets cold when ice is inside the bottle. This suggests that there is heat transfer happening which did not occur with the 26 oz.

It matters less that the ice melts quicker since 18 oz. will be consumed quicker. Still, you expect a YETI to be a YETI and if I wanted to pack it for later this would be an issue. The narrow circumference of the 18 oz.

makes the chug cap seem superfluous and it adds considerable overall weight. Seems like it is more than twice the weight of the original cap. When empty it feels top heavy. I wish the chug cap were optional.

I didn’t look at the pictures closely enough to realize that the cap cannot be screwed in WITHOUT the chug portion attached. And (I’m speculating here), maybe the thin clear plastic of the chug cap that screws in to the bottle is less insulating than the original thick black plastic which is why the metal is cool to the touch and ice melts faster.

I also purchased a 64 oz. with chug cap at the same time but am withholding my review until I see if it has the same heat transfer issue. If it does, I would still use the chug cap, but again wish it were optional and that an original cap were available for purchase or we had the option to choose at time of purchase.

I don’t even see the original cap as a purchase option. Hopefully this isn’t the case. Why fix something that isn’t broken?.

This is an amazing product! As with all Yeti products (I am a massive Yeti fan) this is yet another amazing product! I have a navy 26oz rambler and it fits perfectly. I have seen in other reviews that people complain about comfort, 26oz bottles slipping, etc and I’ll go through what I think now: The 26oz bottle fits great although it is looser than the next size up.

I’ve seen people say how there bottle slips out but I just don’t see that happening to me (I’m 5”10 and trust me, I do a lot of hiking and other outdoors stuff). Comfort: I also hear people complaining about the comfort of the strap… although it doesn’t have a padded bit for your shoulder, it’s fine.

Although on long hikes it may become uncomfortable but then I would put my bottle in my bag, because it’s a long hike and I would probably be bring snacks 🙂 Now to the subject of the infamous shoulder strap clip, thing: so many people say how difficult it is to put on, I didn’t find it hard at all, yes it took a little patience but for both sides it took me a couple of minutes.

Lastly the pocket: this is why I did a 4 star review… it’s great to have a pocket but you can only put in things that are able to bend to the shape of the bottle. It’s to tight against it that you just can’t put anything practical in it.

Although in saying that with the 26oz bottle because there is room you’re able to put some things in… I could just fit my phone in the pocket but you definitely wouldn’t be able to do that with the 36oz rambler.

All in all it is a great purchase and Yeti has delivered once again… for any other brand I would have 5 stated this but with the amazing Yeti brand I tend to nit pick to the smallest of things. I definitely recommend you getting this product.

I was excited to purchase this so I can be hands free with my rambler. As it turns out, the strap requires an act of God to get it attached. Please Yeti, do not respond to this review by posting the tip link you gave another customer above.

It’s useless! We know how the straps are supposed to attach, the issue is that it’s insanely difficult! If I do get it on, I’ll never take them off because I’ll be afraid I won’t get them back on. Which will make this a pain in my backside because the strap will be inconvenient when I want this attached to my cooler or Camino bag.

Maybe that’s what the pocket was intended for? To shove the strap on because you’re aware it’s a pain to remove and put back on.

I thought this would be great for being able to be hands free and toting our somewhat heavy yeti water bottles. I wanted to give this product a single star because the strap is awful. It’s way to narrow to be comfortable on your shoulder with a full water bottle.

I have many Yeti products and i love them. Thought this would be great but the strap design was not thought out. I wish yeti would offer an attachment to the strap to make it comfortable. I gave it two starts because it is durable and does attach to the soft cooler which helps give you one less thing to carry sometimes.

I have two 30 oz Ramblers with handles that I bought a few years apart. The older one, the handle goes all the way to the top but the newer one stops about 1-inch from the top. I’ve tried the new and old handles on both Ramblers and discovered the the older Rambler outside diameter is a bit smaller than the new Rambler because regardless of handle used, both handles stop at the top on the old Rambler or 1-inch with the new Rambler.

Both handles are in perfect shape like new, not stretched out or anything, nor do I understand how others have stretched their handles since the material doesn’t stretch. They do get tight when seated properly to prevent accidently falling out, but not enough to stretch to where they don’t fit anymore.

I also checked the lids of both fit perfectly on each other when swapped around, so the inside diameter is still the same, just the newer Rambler has a slightly larger diameter to fit 1-inch lower because it was a slight inconvenience to have the top ring of the handle in your mouth which isn’t a problem with the newer Rambler.

I only drink cold drinks out of my Yetis & I have many. I don’t want to buy more now because I can’t get a 30 oz. handle anywhere. 🙁 🙁 🙁 So very sad. My favorite gift to give is a 30 oz. with a straw lid and a handle.

I don’t really like the ones with the handle on them because the screw lid does not allow you to change it out for a straw lid. Why mess up a good thing? I love my Yetis! Bring back my handles please!!!.

Pair these with a good old Yeti for a superior mug That fits especially well in your hand and also slides perfectly into your cup holder. Much better than the newer models with the built in handle towards the top to accommodate use of a cup holder.

Tried one of the newer models and it just feels AWEFUL. Sits unused in my cabinet.

A school bus driver, I’ve had a turquoise 22 oz Rambler “bottle” for a coffee mug roughly 2 years. It’s threads have over that time chafed enough to need undue force to open or close: at one time that could be done with one hand while mug was still in a car or truck holder.

Now I gotta use two hands OR put it between my knees to operate !!! Disassembly for routine bottlebrush cleaning was mandatory as I use half and half. Soft bristle bottle brush could NOT have caused these threads to jam.

UPSIDE: when inverted or rolling free it doesn’t leak like many other Yeti Slider lids do. I own some, I know. DOWNSIDE: Thing apparently degrades, then wears out!! Not good for something this pricey.

Before the Chug Cap, I have an older-style Rambler bottle and wanted a new lid for easier access. Debated between the HotShot Cap vs. the Chug Cap. I figured the HotShot lid would be better as there’s no removable part that could be lost, it also has 360-degree access for pouring or drinking, and fully disassembles for easy cleaning.

The major issue I have is that when the cap is that it’s impossible to determine if the cap is in the open or closed position unless you mindfully twist it until a click. There have been times where I thought the cap was fully closed and the bottle tipped over and spilled because it wasn’t fully closed or I had it in the bottle sling and tipped, spilling all over my lap.

The other problem, which might not be for others is the orientation of the handle of the cap in a vertical direction during drinking prevents a steeper drinking angle as it presses against my nose. Other than those two things the HotShot Cap can be leakproof and keeps hot drinks warm when the cap is FULLY CLOSED.

I purchased the HotShot cap so I could easily sip from my Yeti Rambler especially while driving. I have only used it with ice water. But I sure like the ease of turning the top with two fingers instead of using two hands with the original cap, having to figure out what to do with the cap, and then also momentarily taking my eyes off the road to screw it back on.

No more ice baths with the HotShot cap. I’m looking forward to similar reasons to like the HotShot cap with warm drinks in cooler weather. I like the original cap for the handy carrying handle. But the HotShot cap is especially nice for using in the car.

Well done, Yeti. Some complained about not being able to tell if the cap is open or closed. I try to stick to the pattern of open it to drink and close it immediately afterward.
