I am half way through and I can already feel my depression lifting. Dr Burns wrote this perfectly and easy to understand. I really enjoyed the worksheets it made me understand myself a lot better by completing the homework and worksheets it’s helped me understand myself more than ever! I recommend this book for anyone suffering from depression and self destructive thoughts.

This book about Cognitive Behavior Therapy contains a strategy for monitoring your negative thoughts and gradually eliminating it. In two weeks I’ve already received a good deal of comfort from it. Its well written and has lots of real life examples.

I am finding a bit of sexist stuff, but I’m able to read past it as I find the book valuable overall.

I have been in the Marines in the Gulf War among other un-named events and actions around the world. I have fought with depression, anger, guilt, and other issues that would take to long to list. The military teaches you how to be a killing machine, feel no emotions, block pain, and keep going.

They do not teach you how to “transition” into civilion life after combat. The transion class is about a 4 hour class and was not manditory! Now I have been diagnosed with Post Tramatic Stress Disorder, and am (finally after 16 years of trying) in classes to deal with all of this.

There is so much of this book that goes hand in hand with the courses I am taking. If I was to take the courses without the book, I feel that I would not fair as well. Per Doctors orders, I have been slowly decreecing my meds and also seeing a councler who sugested that I writh all negitive thoughts in a notebook and then use parts of the book to analize the root of the problem, and it really works! I had my doubts at first, as most probablr would.

Just buy the book or borrow a copy and see for yourself. If you use it on your own, in a group, or with a doctor, you WILL see positive results.

I have been using this every morning since being about 12 weeks pregnant, teamed with another branded serum which I apply at night before bed. I’m now 36 weeks pregnant. I can’t say how effective this product is on its own as I have been using it alongside another product.

However, the moisturiser itself is lovely to apply, none sticky, quick drying and great for sensitive skin. Alls I can say is apart from 1 or 2 very minor stretch marks on my hips, I have not suffered.

I have gained 4 and a half stone with this pregnancy (my third baby) and I am definitely the biggest I’ve ever been in my life, so was concerned over how bad my stretch marks would get. My advice is start applying lotions early in your pregnancy and maintain a routine throughout.

I would definitely say this cream has helped and it’s nicely priced which is always an advantage! 100% recommend.

Pros: Loved the light creamy texture and how it made my skin feel. Used it religiously from 2nd tri and on to postpartum/life after giving birth. The tub is quite large and I find using small amounts on target areas way more effective than slathering it all over my body.

Cons: Burt’s Bees products are usually my go-to for skin care but I was expecting more long-term, deep moisture from a cream with Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E like this one. Still experienced intense stretch mark scarring (party genetic, so I was predicting some stretching anyways) despite using it as instructed.

Takeaway: As a Burt’s Bees loyalist, I can confidently say I would not purchase this product again during pregnancy. It is great as a light alternative for overall skin needs (I continue to use it daily) but not intensive enough to tackle hormonal pregnant lady skin.

This cream is nice and thick and left the skin on my belly feeling smooth without leaving any weird residue behind. It absorbs fairly quickly compared to other lotions, so you don’t have to wait around a long time for it to dry before getting dressed.

It also got rid of the itching I was having on my growing belly. The only thing I didn’t like was the odd smell. It’s hard to describe, but it almost smells like somebody left bread and water to ferment in a water bottle or something.

That said, the smell goes away completely as soon as it dries, so it’s not a big deal and doesn’t affect my clothes, which I think is a good trade off. I’ve only been using it for a few weeks so I can’t attest to whether it prevents stretch marks or not yet, but it has definitely helped my itchy skin.

This book is written in such a clear and interesting manner, I was totally engrossed. It identifies the characteristics and behaviours of the Narcissist and the lasting impact it has on you. When you can do nothing to please your mother, no matter how hard you try, it is understandable that you think it is your fault.

After all, that is what she will be telling you as often as she can, in many ways. Imagine then, the liberation of being given a book that shows you that it’s not you, it’s her! It shocked me to find myself and my mother described on every page, and it saddened me to learn that it will never change.

Except that it has, now I understand her rules I can choose whether to play by them or not. This is a personality disorder which I somehow find more able to forgive, and which can be quite amusing to watch now that I feel myself absolved, and perhaps distanced from the manipulations.

That said this is a toxic situation that has had lasting impact on my childhood and adult life; I am now in my 50’s. I wish I had this information 40 years ago. The book also explains the use of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) I am so impressed that I have recommended it to a friend and sent a copy to my sister.

Of course not all Narcissists are women, and this book also helped me to realise that I had repeated my experiences of inadequacy with my first husband too. Between the two of them I have needed counselling and psychiatric help throughout adulthood.

Thanks to this book I am finally free.

My mother has always been quite selfish, every single conversation I have/have had with her she turns it onto herself with no interest in what I’m saying. The majority of my life I’ve been made to feel quite insignificant and ignored.

Turns out it wasn’t just selfishness. After watching Sopranos I discovered it was actually narcissism and a lot more toxic than I ever really realised. I’m half way through this book and it’s been a realisation to say the least.

It’s very surreal to read this book and know that the author has never met my mother yet she describes her flawlessly, & our relationship also. My father is an enabler, I always thought he was just spineless while she was an ultimate diva, stamping her feet, bullying when she didn’t get what she wanted.

This book is enlightening. Empowering. Healing. Surreal. Painful. Can’t recommend it enough. Only problem I have is I wish I discovered this book sooner.

This book has changed my life!! I believe that as far as Narcissism is concerned, people can be on either end of the spectrum, or indeed, anywhere in between. Obviously, the author’s mother was at the worst end of the spectrum and this often made me wonder whether I was being unfair as labeling my mother as a Narcissist.

But no! I would recommend readers to take from the book whatever advice suites their particular situation. Understanding that the condition is incurable and that these people cannot change certainly makes one view things from a new perspective.

Reading about the behaviours and mindset of a Narcissist was a revelation to me. It made total sense of the hell I have endured for most of my life and I cried with relief, just knowing that it wasn’t just me always being stupid/unreasonable etc.

etc.

This book is like sitting down to have coffee and a chat with a great Christian friend who is ready to speak truth to you and lead you to peace. Becky Thompson’s writing style is comfortable and inviting.

She constantly points us back to God’s truth and the perfect Peace that is within us as the Holy Spirit. Momma’s (or women) who have felt the sting of seemingly not having enough faith, or endured the sermons telling them their anxiety was a result of not trusting enough, will find comfort and reassurance in these pages.

They will learn that “anxiety does not disqualify you from being a woman full of faith. ” Becky offers tangible ways to walk in faith DESPITE our physiological symptoms, despite our psychological worries, despite the lies that tell us we are not enough or God is not enough.

This book goes a step further in helping us to find the courage to share our stories and be trail guides for other women who are still lost in the forest of fear amidst their anxiety. Each chapter closes with a prayer, a truth, and a very real step that women can take as they navigate their own anxiety or offer help to others around them.

The world needs PEACE right now. Women need the words on these pages! Becky Thompson is a “must-read” author. I have all of her books on my shelf and reach for them often. God speaks such truth through her words and her humble spirit.

She is a “real momma” in the trenches and so, so incredibly relatable. I highly recommend purchasing this book and every other one she’s written. You will feel like you’re getting a hug and whispers of advice and support from your best friend while she points you back towards your Heavenly Father.

I’ve read and loved all of Becky Thompson’s books but this one is my favorite so far. You can really see her heart in this book. I would recommend it to any woman who struggles with anxiety on any level.

I really appreciated that while this is a Christian book and a solid one at that, Becky doesn’t just recite the stereotypical church speech as pertains to anxiety (or mental disorders as a whole for that matter).

She talks a lot about the physiological reasons anxiety happens and how our hormones play a part. She discusses how our bodies are imperfect because of living in a broken world, and just like our physical bodies can break down or stop working properly, our brains can as well.

She gives practical advice on how to handle anxiety as well as spiritual. While she does acknowledge anxiety isn’t always a spiritual problem, she does address it on that level as well, because, ultimately, Becky is pointing her readers back to Jesus as the ultimate source of peace.

And that is the entire point of the book. The two chapters that stood out most to me where the chapter on the Holy Spirit and how we as Christians lack understanding of this aspect of God, and the chapter at the end about “going back into the forest” and helping other women who are struggling with a lack of peace in their lives.

I love that Becky uses solid biblical truths throughout the book; this isn’t a self-help, cure all book to end all of your problems. It’s a book that points continuously back to Jesus who is Peace. It’s full of reminders that we can’t have peace, true peace, without Him.

This book is a must for any Christian woman who lives with anxiety, and a really useful tool for anyone who knows someone in their life who struggles in this way.

I highly recommend this book to any woman, especially mothers, who is suffering with ANY form of anxiety. I was diagnosed with Postpartum Anxiety after my last child was born. It was so bad that I sought medication and therapy which I believe God used to help me.

It’s been well over a year now. I started reading this book and God placed it on my heart to attempt to go off the anxiety medication. I’m not saying this book can CURE you of your anxiety, but it truly helps give insight and suggestions to truly finding PEACE while also being interesting and “hard to put down” read.

All of Beckys books are amazing. I actually stumbled across her books in the midst of my worst depression and anxiety moments last year and she was my “light” in the darkest times of my life. Then I heard about this new book and I had to read it ASAP.

This book will help if not change your life.

I got this in my Ipsy bag. I am a chemical exfoliant connoisseur, however, this is not one I would have picked out on my own. Something about this type of product being sold at grocery stores deters me.

I have to admit that I am pleasantly surprised at how much I love this. I opened my bag after returning from a short trip to Florida, so my skin was sun-kissed (not burnt-I wore SPF religiously) and it was tired from the traveling.

I used it that evening under some aloe vera gel and my regular moisturizer. I was half expecting for it to cause some irritation because of how tired my skin already was, but I woke up to incredibly happy skin! I was shocked.

My face was so soft and smooth, I had very minimal texture, and it even reduced some acne scarring-all after one use. This is definitely going to become a new vacation/summer essential for me. It’s potent enough to give my skin the refresh it needs, but gentle enough that it wont damage my skin barrier during/after traveling and sun exposure.

I’m so happy this was brought into my life.

I have been using this for almost two months on an old surgery scar. I have recently noticed improvement in the edges/texture/and color. The changes are more noticeable in the spots that were flatter, there now are spots on the scar that are looking more like normal skin.

The raised parts seem to take longer to see a difference with. The jar says to use it for 3-6 months because it is an older scar. I hope to keep seeing improvement this slow and steady improvement is more noticeable than the silicon sheet, laser treatments, and injections that I have tried before.

The only downside I found is it takes a while to dry, due to the large size of scar that is covered by clothes I do not always have time to sit and wait for it to dry in the morning. Also for a large scar this bottle only last 2 weeks when used twice a day.

A larger bottle for larger scars would be nice especially since it takes a while to see results.

Ok. So I had two really bad scars from my belly button piercing that I took out many years ago. I’m 2017 I got scar removal surgery and it did nothing basically besides make my it a tiny bit less noticeable.

Last year I spent over $1,000 on fraxel laser to remove it. once again this helped the appearance slightly. However my scars were still dark and noticeable. I tried every scar removal gel and even one from a surgeons office, but nothing really helped.

I finally decided to purchase this not thinking it would do anything. Iv only been using this gel for maybe 2/3 weeks so far and MY SCARS ARE THE SAME COLOR AS MY SKIN. I have no idea what is in this product but the results are crazy.

Not only are my scars lighter but the skin looks smooth and barely noticeable now.

This journal is great for getting to know yourself. At first I was thinking that it would be a waste of money because if anyone knows me, it is going to be me. WRONG! Some of the questions in this journal actually took a lot of thought and I wanted to be as truthful with myself as possible.

It has a lot of fun silly questions too. I really bought it to fill out, not to burn as the title would suggest but in hopes that when I am not around my kids will have it to remember me with and if they have any odd or silly questions, hopefully they find an answer in this journal.

It doesn’t fill like a chore or a self help book, just kind of a fun little book to fill in whenever you have time. You don’t have to go in order, you can skip pages…. whatever tickles your fancy. #journal #book #fun #goodmemories.

I had no idea what to expect from this book, and if asked to review the day I started it, I would have said “it’s very repetitive, some of the questions were random and pointless imo, but whatever for $20 it’s something new/fun to try out.

3/5″ Well, I just completed the book, and let me tell you – Wow!! What a roller coaster of emotions it brought!! I laughed, I cried, I was speechless at times and almost caught myself about to Lie. to myself! This book is about You.

Truth or Dare as they say, with only you playing against yourself. The book asks (on the back) “how honest can you be when no one is watching?”. It’s a lot harder than you’d think!! 5/5 Definitely recommend, but caution, some of the stuff I personally found hard at times.

So, have the kleenex ready, pour some tea and sit somewhere quietly, and really put some thought into it. The answers just might surprise You!! And then, will you burn it, toss it, or hide it to look back at a few years from Now?! Or maybe write another, and compare how different or the same they are.

It’s definitely a thinker!!.

I don’t normally write reviews but rely on them for advice before buying a product. I was hemming and hawing about Angry Mama b/c the last two reviews were so strongly negative despite the overall positive ratings.

I decided to go ahead and give her a try because she’s amusing and I’m looking for some gag gifts with the holidays coming up. Angry Mama did NOT disappoint! Her hair and head come off with no problem (just twist off) and I loaded her up with vinegar and water according to the fill lines on her dress, popped her in at 80% power for 3 min and off she went.

Angry Mama did her job and I was able to remove her using her arms which weren’t hot like the rest of her and then just wiped down the microwave. The whole thing including heating and cleaning time took maybe 5 min.

When I announced to hubby that I cleaned our disgusting microwave, he was surprised I was done so fast. For grins I ran Angry Mama one more time with just water to do a “rinse” cycle. She didn’t complain and the microwave is spotless.

This little gem is terrific! I got my first one a couple years ago and have since purchased some more for friends. My older one instructed 7 minutes in the microwave – I think these newer versions say only 5 minutes.

Either way, it’s magical how you can just take a paper towel or a damp rag and give the interior a quick swipe —- and you’re done! No spraying harsh cleansers, scrubbing, rinsing, etc. Plus, it smells fresh.

This small plastic item cleans microwave better than any product I’ve run across. Just fill w vinegar & water, place in microwave & set for few minutes. She’ll do the rest! Remove & wipe walls off. easy peasy!.

Thank you for your dedication to providing such a high quality product. I just reordered a few weeks ago and was surprised to see that it has changed. The color has changed from a soft yellowish cream (the bee pollen ingredients?) to a green color.

I’m wondering if there is now less of the bee ingredients and more of the olive oil. Olive oil is a good product but I can get that anywhere. It’s the bee ingredients that drew me to Bee Magic and that I so appreciate.

A physical therapist recommended this product for another surgical scar. BUT during conversations we talked about rolls of fat and how the skin care is so poor and leads to ongoing issues with yeast and fungal infections.

Because Aquaphor acts as a skin barrier it is especially effective when put onto the fat folds of skin. Proof is in the use. For years we’ve battled these infections on someone. Not that they got them that frequently, but they would hang around and require aggressive personal care.

Antifungal powders gum up with sweat and it’s unpleasant. When used after a good wash with soap, water and a dry with a hair dryer, Aquaphor regained control and healthy skin returned. Gotta take stock out on this product.

Honestly I have been buying this sauce for years and continue to be impressed. I started buying it because other sauces like ragu and Prego had a lot of added sugar, salt, preservatives, etc. I could not figure out why my skin would have a reaction and break out if u ate too much spaghetti, and now I know it is because of those other sauce brands.

I have no problems with skin breakouts with yo mamas. I will say that the sauce is like a clean sheet when you get it. I like that because it is so basic and clean, I can doctor it up with spices and herbs and toppings that I like.

I usually add basil, oregano, onion powder, salt, garlic powder, a bit of hot sauce, parmesan cheese, and some honey to my sauce and let it slow simmer before adding it to my pasta. I think this sauce would be difficult to eat without doctoring it up.

But I like that I can add my preferred amount of salt/honey instead of the other sauce brands that add salt/sugar in large quantities.

Flavor was nothing special. I’ve tried making low sodium sauce myself. I’ve purchased low sodium plain tomato sauce, chopped my own onions, added bell pepper, garlic powder and spent a lot of time. It was about the same as this – not too exciting and a lot more work.

Low sodium is low sodium and it will take time to make the transition. In the meantime, I’ve chopped up onions and bell pepper to add a bit more “oomph” to Yo Mama’s sauce. Bottom line: it’s about the same flavor as what I can make and it takes less time.

Adding onions and a bit of water to thin it helps. (also a tiny bit of Truvia, right before serving individual portion, and red pepper flakes if you want a bit of heat. ).

The nurs at hospital told me to buy this for the post partum pain relief. You know what ? It works amazing ! But I reccomend to use it also as the other pain relief for example sunburn, minor cuts, insect bites or even after waxing.

It works really quick and gives a nice cooling sensation because it has menthol as one of the ingredient. The other one is benzocaine, so if you are allergic to any of anesthetics be careful ! Safe for the children 2 years and older.

I don’t normally write reviews for things like this but that’s how well it worked. I burned my forearm pretty badly on my oven and it was very red and in pain. The next day I went and bought this because it was the only thing that looked decent and it didn’t disappoint.

Within a couple of hours, my burn was no longer red. It still hurts but significantly less and I’ve had no itching. If you’ve burnt yourself, give this a try.

Ladies I bought this and used this after labor. I’ll spare you the details, but it relieves pain and itching on contact. It was a life saver. You know what else is good to use this for? Everything. Eczema, bug bites, sun burn, healing itchy scabs.

Literally everything. And for 7 dollars on Amazon why not just have this guy waiting in the closet.

If I had to choose one product to recommend to all expecting moms about to give birth, it would be this kit. I have had 2 kids used this kit for both births. The gown socks are SO comfortable. You might think it seems pointless to purchase your own gown/socks since the hospital supplies them for free, but who wants to wear that scratchy uncomfy hospital gown during a time when you’re in the most pain you’ll probably ever experience?! The disposable underwear are another example of this.

I lived in them until 2 weeks postpartum, I even bought several more packs after I ran out of the ones in this kit. Same with the cooling maxi pads! They helped SO much with my recovery made the almost 4 weeks of bleeding more tolerable.

The peri bottle was so nice to have, as wiping can be incredibly painful after birth. The foam the wipes were soothing in ways that other products could never dream of. This kit would make an excellent baby shower gift, I promise the expecting mom will love you for it forever.

If you’re debating if it’s truly worth the money, I’m here to tell you, YES!!.

I bought this for myself and it arrived the day I went into labor. I really didn’t care about the hospital gown, so I just used the hospital provided one. However, everything else is great! The peri bottle with the angled neck is a must.

So much easier than the upright one from the hospital. The ice packs and witch hazel pad liners were so nice in those early healing days when I was super swollen. The disposable undies are ok, but a little itchy.

Then again, I didn’t have to worry about washing them! Even the box it comes in was great for setting up a little station in my bathroom for me to have easy access to everything I needed. I would probably not buy the whole kit again, but the smaller one with just the home recovery items.

This Frida Mom Labor and Delivery + Postpartum Recovery Kit is so nice and convenient! It comes nicely put together in a big box. Inside is also a cardboard toilet-top caddy. It comes with a super nice toiletry/accessory travel bag that will fit right in your hospital bag! Birthing gown is soft and comfortable with easy access for breastfeeding.

Ice pads are bulky but so are the hospital’s; They’re not very comfortable with the bulkiness, but the cooling is welcome. Disposable underwear were weird fitting, tight on my thighs and butt (I am a size 18 with a bigger booty and thighs).

I like the cooling liners; they felt relieving. The peri bottle is genius! Much more comfortable to use than the ones the hospital gives. The peri foam is also relieving. This set is nice, but you can get most of this stuff or like this stuff from the hospital for free.

Though the quality of these items in the kit is better.

Used this product after my second c-section and it drastically helped my incision heal. After an allergic reaction from my c-section procedure my incision was very inflamed, red, and irritated. Just One night after using this, my incision was drastically better.

Calmed the redness, soothed the irritation and after using this for a few weeks my incision is fully healed and better. Highly recommend using this!.

I’ve been using this scar balm about twice a day for a month now and I love it! I am currently 4 months post C-section and my scar is notably less visible and softer. This really helps with scar massage as well.

A little truly does go a long way; I probably won’t have to repurchase for about 2 more months. I’m very pleased with my purchase and can’t wait to see my results a few months from now!.

Read all the good reviews about this so decided to give it a shot! I have very wide and deep stretch marks post partum. I used the entire jar (which is tiny!) and saw no difference and I may add the smell is AWFUL! I would have to shower in the morning when I put it on a night because I would feel like throwing up.

My husband also hates the smell. I found that a 5$ palmers cocoa butter lined worked and smelt way better.

I used the Mama Mio tummy butter on my second pregnancy and got lots of stretch marks. Unfortunately I had purchased this product early into my pregnancy, at the same time as the tummy butter. Otherwise I would have returned it.

Used it and it’s made no difference to my stretch marks whatsoever. I cannot recommend this or any other product on the Mama Mio range. They did not work for me and it’s not down to genetics like a lot of people say.

I had hardly any marks after my first pregnancy using a different brand.

Life changing Product This is by far the best pregnancy product I have ever come across. Everything about the Mama Mio Goodbye Stretch Marks Stretch Mark Minimiser is wonderful. Firstly, I used the product for a considerable period during and after my pregnancy, and I was ecstatic about the results.

My stretch marks are barely visible, if anything almost gone. Secondly, its scent is fully engaging and calming. I enjoy each application of the product. I love the luxurious feel of the cream on my skin, which leaves it feeling moisturized, smooth as well as supple-this is from my aunt.

I was given this at my baby shower and heard great things about it and was excited to start using it. The product comes in a pump and it gives nice amount for each pump. The smell is gentle and is a blend of aromatic and sweet.

The texture is oily without being over running. The only downside with this product is that it feel you have to use a lot of product to get a good spread on. In comparison to the other products I use I feel this will last me a short period, all though I like and recommend it I feel it is in the long run pricey.

The original “Slap Ya Mama” spice mix is my favorite! It’s versatile, and I love using it to bring smoky flavor and a touch of heat to a wide variety of meat and vegetable dishes. When my local grocery store stopped carrying it, I was delighted to find it on Walmart.

I was intrigued to see they had different formulations, a Spicy version and one described as White Pepper. I can’t wait to try them out! Will definitely buy again!!.

The versatility and the flavor, but should come with a warning because it’s addictive. Don’t start using it because you won’t be able to stop. Just forget about buying salt and pepper, this is all you need.

Eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast are snappy. On a salad, in tuna and mayo, as seasoning. Its good on almost everything, its great for grilled steak and chicken, amazing on shrimp and very tasty when added to Alfredo sauce to make a Cajun Alfredo, its also amazing on broccoli and asparagus.

Im getting ready to make jambalaya and it will be in that. Just leave it on your table. Its that good.

Only 4 ingredients and it’s mostly salt. There’s red pepper, cayenne pepper and garlic. Not the variety of seasons I normally taste and contained in Tones seasoning. Thought I was getting something new to me and at much cheaper price.

Should have bought something that actually reminds me of Cajun, instead I just want to slap myself for buying this mistake.

It’s no news I’m a huge fan of Boiron or any homeopathic approach, but I’m incredibly surprised with this natural product. It’s gel, scentless, cooling and very gentle on your skin. It almost feels like the gel is diluting into water on your skin when you’re applying, and I mean it.

I used the cream after a car accident when I traumatized my hand and had swelled and bruised fingers. Pain was declined a lot after two applications and fingers got their natural color and shape for 2 days of using the cream.

Other time the cream application helped to heal infection under a finger nail- I’ve got a splinter under the nail and could not remove it completely and after a while I had a throbbing pain. Tried to keep finger in baking soda solution (sometimes it helps but not then, not that time).

Awesome logo on shirt and perfect fit! The quality of the print is my only complaint. I followed the washing/drying instructions on the tag, but the black print still came out significantly lighter after only one wash.

I was very skeptical to order a shirt since the prices are amazing but when I got the shirt I was so surprised!! Great quality, soft, gorgeous color, the graphic on the shirt is perfect. Absolutely love!!!.

Save your money! This tank was so poorly made as soon as I took it out of the box I put it right back in and requested a refund. It is awful looking!
