We bought this glove after trying several other ones on the market and I cannot say enough about this one in particular. My daughter has caught for many years and has had trouble with thumb hyperextension.

This glove has been a life saver for her and no more injuries!!!! I myself, caught all through high school and would have loved to have the option of a product like this. I would recommend this product to anyone that has trouble with hyperextension.

It will really save your thumb!!!.

If your player has dealt with thumb issues, this is the answer. My son Hyperextended his thumb as an 11 YO, I started taping his Thumb before every practice and game which got old quick and it was stuck on for at bats as well.

Then I tried the molded gua.

Easy to close glove with materials that are high quality relative to price and intended age range. My 7 year old has hand much greater success fielding with this than his similar Rawlings. Virtually zero break in needed.

Fits nicely for a 10 year old. Not too tight or too big. Not too stiff even out of the package but needs a little breaking it.

I have had this glove for a few weeks now and have caught a few sessions with it. It is breaking in quite well and I am very pleased. I had a Rawlings HOH mitt before and this is so much better. I dont think I will ever go back now that I have tried the allstars mitt.

This is the 5th All-Star Catcher’s Mitt we have bought for our High School program. You use them for both Varsity and J. V. I do shop around for the best prices.

This is a great glove. It broke in super quickly, it only took 2 days. One thing is the leather is lighter in person than the picture. Maybe that was just for me, but I actually prefer the look. This glove has a shallow pocket so you don’t feel like the glove is super secure but this is perfect for infield.

The thin heel pad gave a quick break in, but the glove might get floppy more quickly. The palm liner feels amazing. I loosened the web a little so I can feel like the ball is more secure, and that made if feel better.

I just graduated from college as a division 1 baseball player. I used this glove for my first of four years of college ball and I can safely say with confidence that this glove is NOT the glove to buy.

The glove is good before it gets past the peek of its life. Once the glove is overworked and starts to get floppy at ALL, you will have problems with the ball staying in the pocket. It gets slippery, and the web is not strong enough to hold the ball.

I would advise everyone to go buy AllStar catchers mitts, they are more pricey, however you will get a much more quality glove and will have LOTS of less dropped balls. This glove sounds and looks and plays good for a very short time, but will let you down eventually.

I was never going to leave this review, until I saw the catcher from Virginia during the 2021 CWS have the SAME EXACT PROBLEMS I had. We were using the same glove and once I saw he was having the same trouble as me, I had to let the world know to not buy these gloves.

The infield mitts are very good, however I as a division 1 ball player give you the advise to not buy Wison catchers mitts, and to buy AllStar.

Bought this for my 10 year old son to use as an all purpose infield and outfield glove. This is our 2nd A2000. The leather lining is noticeably softer than the older model and the wrist binding leather is a nice touch.

The overall leather quality and color combo are great. We used Wilson’s recommended hot water break in method with a mallet and it was ready to go after a couple days. Do not steam, it’s bad for the leather and voids the warranty.

Try it on in a store if you can. Our local store had 3 and they all fit very differently. So happy with this glove. We are A2000 users for life!.

I was a little concerned a previous purchase had worried us when purchasing Catchers Mitt’s. I was pleasantly surprised when the glove arrived and had a semi-broken in feel, while not all-the-way broken-in the glove was still loose enough for a 9yr old to squeeze which is more than his previous glove was able to do.

Nothing fancy but works great for first time Catchers looking to get the hang of things behind the plate.

I bought this glove for my 6 year old son who has taken a huge interest in being a catcher. This glove was nearly game ready and after a little breaking in with rawling glove oil, and some sessions behind the pitching machine it was ready to go.

Bought this mitt for my 11 year old son, it’s a perfect fit for him. He got it as a Christmas gift so hasn’t had the chance to use it in a game.

Very strong black leather creates a loud pop in the pocket. Feels like mitt will last me multiple seasons unlike past catcher’s mitts. Black leather gives it a great look. Pro level mitt for sure.

This is a great baseball catchers mitt for anyone playing at a highly competitive level. The leather is great and since their primary products are catchers gear and catchers mitts you know they know what they are doing.

It may take a while to break in but once you get there it is a perfect fit. Although the leather itself is super nice and durable, I don’t think it’s $150 better than some other mitts but I always seem to spend the money with no remorse.

I bought this glove only 2 weeks ago and I’ve been doing bull pens and running training. I believe that it will be ready for a game in 2 more weeks. This glove is not game ready like the tanned glove but this glove will last much longer.

Received this 11. 5” R9 yesterday from Better Baseball and couldn’t be more pleased. Immediately had to go try it out, and it appears that it will be an easy break-in process and will be game ready in no time at all.

First Rawlings glove. Had Nokona gloves forever, but didn’t want to spend that much money. It feels and looks to be a great purchase!.

I own lots of gloves near the $100 range, if I had to choose only one, it would be this. It is large but has great feel for the baseball. It is soft but grips well. Even has a cool color scheme. I just own it to play catch, a friend of mine who played college baseball says it’s a very nice glove.

That’s enough to convince a casual like me, lol.

I was excited to purchase a new Rawlings catchers mitt for my 11y/o son. Have been looking around and settled on one on your website. We received the package and I let my son open it and to our surprise it wasn’t a catchers mitt but was a first baseman’s mitt.

I am a strong supporter of small businesses and very much dislike the big box franchises but when this happened we had to act quick and off we went to a big named place. I am bummed in how it turned out but the refund was seamless and quick.

The smell of premium leather is hard to forget. As long as this glove is around, everyone in the area knows that smell. We’ve been breaking it in more everyday. Can’t wait to use it in game play. So far, we’ve been super happy with this glove and the quality as we are a college playing family.

This glove has the protection padding of the best of gloves. Worked this glove against middle tier All Star Pro Series Baseball Catcher’s Mitt: CM3100SBT and high end Wilson A2000 SuperSkin and my high school son preferred the Shoeless Joe over both in comfort and even protection of the thumb area.

broke in upon arrival. beautiful glove. 10 year old son loves it. it has big hand slot but even with his small hands not an issues. can put nearly 3 ball in 32 in mitt and close. big pocket. as a catcher we know palm padding is important and this glove delivers 5 stars.

this glove is the best mitt i have ever used, i will never go back to another glove. it was very easy to break in. it has the best feeling when it comes to reciving the ball. the sound it makes when the ball is caught is like no other.

my favorate things about the glove is how it closes when you catch the ball and i find it much easier to transfer the ball compared to my other mitts. my throw down to second feels much smoother when it comes to the transfer of the ball.

I bought this glove about 3 months ago, and it seems to be breaking in quite well. I still get pops every once in a while, but if you catch it in the deep pocket there is no problem. I used it in game about a month after i got it and it seems to still be in the the breaking in process, or i just have weak hands.

If I buy another one of these gloves I think I would go with the CM3000X SBT, just because I find this on a bit to large for my hands. Everything else about this glove is perfect. Take good care of it, and it will take good care of you.

I bought my son a new CM3000 pro elite catchers mitt and he says it the best glove he ever had! Breaking in nicely after a few catching sessions, thought we wouldn’t be able to use it until the fall but we may get to use it this season.

High quality leather and stitching. Palm appears a bit thinner than expected. Knocked the star off because it is nowhere near 80 percent broken in. 3 weeks of mashing it for 30+ minutes/day just to get it so an adult can close it consistently, will likely be another 3 weeks before the kid can.

This is a really great starter first baseman glove. There are definitely nicer gloves on the market but you’ll be paying a lot more for them. This glove is a great bang for your buck. My 11 year old lefty son transitioned from third base to first base this year and has really loved this glove.

It came out of the box nearly fully broken in so he was able to use it in games almost right away. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a starter first baseman’s glove.

My 9 yr old is left handed and plays first base. I wanted to get him the proper mitt for that and this didn’t disappoint. It’s the same price as the youth style but one inch bigger. I highly suggest waving off the youth mitt and just buy this one.

His other youth Rawlings fielding glove was very stiff and the cheaper leather won’t break in. And it was almost the same price as this one. This one came 80% broken in and after about two days of practice he has it fully broken in.

He’s 9 and can easily close the mitt on the ball and it doesn’t pop out. Any older kid or adult will have no problem working with this mitt. I also suggest this over the youth style if your kid’s 9-10 because now I won’t be buying the adult style in one to two years.

It’s a great mitt and he’ll get a lot of years out of it.

Shipped quicker than stated. Almost 40% less than other big names sites I checked. Legit quality product. Slightly smaller than expected, but will fit my 10yr old son for several seasons.

Glove is good quality, works good for its purpose. Does fit snug, but I am female and use for catching my daughter. Think it will loosen up after it’s broken in.

I bought this thinking it was an adult glove, not realizing it was a youth. I still think it is a great glove. I have a small hand, so I prefer gloves that fit snug. It isn’t too tight even though it is a youth glove.

I found that it was super easy to break in, wasn’t too stiff to begin with.

Bought this for my 10 year old since the team’s catches mitts had no padding or web for the ball. This mitt is very easy to close and grabs the ball nicely. His fellow team mates try to use it when their infielding and he’s not catcher because it closes nicely.

I bought this a month ago for my 11 year old son and it’s a solid glove. Its taking a little longer to break in than I thought it would, but I believe that’s because it’s good quality leather. Very adjustable for different sized hands, and overall a good product that hopefully my son will use for a few years or more.

i bought this glove 2 weeks ago and one lace has already broke and a different lace snapped in half. i am a catchers for 15u and i was catching only about 65 mph and it broke. Thankful this wasn’t mid season when im catching 80+.

Bought this catchers glove for my son. He loves the feel of it and this glove come pre broken in so no extra effort needed to break in the glove other than a few times having a regular catch in the back yard.

Soft leather feels broken in right away. Easy for my 12 year old to unbox it and immediately catch for his team. I’ve been an Akadema fan for a long time now.

Fast break in. most durable glove i have had. Been using it for 4 years still has a pocket and padding.

Once the mitt is broken in, it is a great glove. I watched a video by Wilson’s Aso, the glove genius, and he helped me break it in. Cheap glove and a great value. My 9 yr old has been catching with it pretty well.

Quality leather/lacing. A little stiff but a quality glove should be. Nice deep pocket, well padded with no sting and a comfortable fit for medium/average size hands. Love it and it’s not even fully broken in yet.
