Good for youth beginners. I like that the weight is adjustable but the draw length only adjusts as you increase the poundage. My Granddaughters can’t pull back muck weight but need a longer draw length than the bow will allow for the weight they are shooting.

Also don’t like the three finger release that is attached to the string. It does not sound freely on the string so there is string trwist when you pull it back. You can cut them off but you stand the chance of cutting into the string.

It is however a good beginner tool to see if they will use it enough to be worth buying a more expensive bow. All in all good beginner but just to learn form and build strength.

Got this for my 7-year-old as an introductory bow. As a very first bow, it serves. The unit is built well enough. The poundage is adjustable, but don’t expect the arrows to all penetrate the target every time even when you crank it down.

The arrow rest is like an afterthought. If you’re looking for a cost-effective way to see if your youngster is going to dig archery, this bow will do that job. But if they do, you’ll be looking for another bow in fairly short order.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my 8 year old. It was delivered 4 hours ago and I’ve already made my mind up that her toy bow that shoots suction cup arrows is better. It’s cheap plastic, Horrible quality.

I had a friend purchase this bow in exchange for a new Bear Approach bow which I had purchased to hunt. Unfortunately, I was unable to use the Bear bow because the draw weight was too heavy for me to pull.

A friend agreed to purchase this Gen X bow because he had bought one for his daughter, she loved it. When he gave me this Gen X bow, I could see it was much longer than my Bear. Allegedly this bow is good for hunting, but the length is going to make it difficult while up in a tree, and I do not like the way it fits my hand.

I’m very upset because customer service will not take the bow back, so I’ll have to eat the cost. I’ll never buy a product site unseen, or word of mouth from a friend, lesson learned! I feel this bow is more of a competition shooting bow, not hunting.

Great starting bow. It is very durable and has been with me my entire archery journey thus far. My only complaint is that the string is starting to whether a little but I have been using it for a long time.

No string is indestructible. I never had a moment where I shot and the problem was my bow. This is super crucial as archers already have enough to worry about.

I am a PE teacher in AR. This is the bow we are instructor certified on and the bow the students use. Same one. Everyone from 3rd grade to 30 years old and beyond can have success with this bow. If you want to hunt, you will upgrade to a hunting bow, but this bow will forever be a blast to shoot.

Don’t bother with the smaller youth bows. This is a REAL bow. It will insure the best chance of success for a beginner and that’s what you want. It can be adjusted from 10 to 20 lbs draw weight with ease.

A beginning archer can learn on it and then shoot it for the rest of their lives. All aluminum construction. The original Genesis bow is the real deal.

This is my first deer call. I am in my 30s and have hunted the last three years and never shot a deer. Opening day 2019 I made three quiet, less than a second, grunts on the mature buck setting about 20 min before sunrise.

Out of nowhere and a few minutes later, I see a deer in the field eating. I made a quiet short grunt and then a more aggressive longer grunt. Deer looks up and it’s a buck. End up taking a shot and harvesting my first deer, an 8 pointer.

I am 75 and haven’t shot a compound bow in over 20 years. I am primarily a rifle hunter but I wanted to spend more time afield ( MI archery season runs for 3 months) so I decided to purchase a bow. I looked at crossbows, but the the prices far exceeded what I wanted to pay.

I’ll shell out 4 figures for a pre-64 Winchester Model 70 bolt rifle but not a “string gun. ” So, I looked at compounds. Again, the prices were “up there” as well as the poundage. I used to be able to draw 50 pounds when I was younger, but an arthritic shoulder makes that impossible nowadays.

Then, I found the “Limitless. ” It had everything I was looking for…. and I do mean EVERYTHING: it was fully equipped with all the necessary accessories, it was adjustable to fit my length of pull and draw weight, and the exceeding reasonable price tag sealed the deal.

It is an exceptional value and I am very impressed with it’s quality. Thank you, Bear Archery, for making it possible for me to continue to hunt. This is my 50th year afield.

I bought this a few months ago I went to a pro archery shop to get my arrows sized for me and they said this is the wrong bow first off the draw length increments are in full inches they need to be half of in inch.

2nd of all poor build quality and for younger kids for sure. People all over say good now for teens if ur 13 or older don’t buy it I’m a smaller 15 year old and I’m 5 6 my my draw is 26. 5 I think but yea don’t buy this bow.

Poor quality go with something bigger axle to axle. The guys at the shop recommended me to a mission switch. It’s made by matthews but it’s not that bad of a deal 400 with nothing on it 650 with all the accessories.

This is a great bow for anyone, regardless of experience, not just youths. have a pinched nerve in my neck that limits my ability to pull a lot of weight so I opted for this bow as it maxes at 50lbs but still has a good yardage and the price point was much better than others.

And it’s size is extremely close to a full size bow, the axle length being within 3 inches of several of Bears full size bows. I actually didn’t know it was considered a youth bow until googling it. I’ve been shooting archery for years but not a whole lot with a compound bow, so I got this for hunting and also for fun/hobby and so far it’s great.

But if you’re planning to hunt exclusively, maybe opt for a 75 pound bow to get you a better kill radius.

I started with this bow as my first crossbow. I had a compound bow but the string snapped while I was getting to my blind and my whole hunting trip was over because there were no bow shops around and the bow had partially dry fired because the serving snapped.

I ended up buying a new string for it and sold it on eBay to buy this bow. I have been using this bow for over 3 yrs and I finally upgraded to the BD 440 this year but this bow is my backup. I always carry an extra string, limbs, and I never have to worry about the strings breaking because if it does, I take out my stringing kit and restring the bow and continue with my hunt.

I have harvested 13 Bucks between this bow and the BD 440. I thought this bow was a beast but the 440 really packs a punch. So much so that you have to use the included silent charger ext. unfortunately it doesnt work with this bow.

I am extremely glad I found Excaliburs because they are so durable and a piece of art. The newer bows all look the same and although they are much more narrow cocked and uncocked I still prefer to using my Excalibur because I am sick of the compound bows snapping strings and servings.

Excaliburs have always been the best in my honest opinion, nothing can stop you when you shoulder an Excalibur. No more worrying about what you should do if your serving or string snaps. Excaliburs only have 1 string thats replaceable and that applied to the limbs too.

I always carry an extra set of limbs and strings in my backpack just in case. I never needed it but its nice to know I can change out the limbs and string within 10minutes without a bow press. Buy this bow and get a taste of excellence!.

I already own an Excalibur 340 TD and decided to buy this while it was on sale for my daughter’s to use while we hunt together. I had purchased a different compound style crossbow for them and within 20 shots the serving started to seperate bad! New strings/cables cost anywhere from $40-$200 dollars then take it to a shop, pay for labor, and usually wait a week or so to get it back.

With Excalibur I can restring it myself quickly, even in the woods if need be. Sure it may not be as fast as other crossbows on the market, but is still faster than any compound, and 99% of the YouTube/hunting shows has hunters shooting plenty of nice deer/bucks with a lot slower bows.

This crossbow has many excellent features sought by most hunters. For a traditional style bow it is compact yet reliable due to its simple design. The accuracy is excellent and with the built in silent crank system its a dream to load and shoot.

This bow provides sufficient speed for any game in North America and the take down system with the included case makes for easy travel. The bow is easily decocked using the built in crank, so no more need to fire at the end of the day.

I love the simplicity of this crossbow and that should you ever have an issue you can fix most problems on your own; which is a big consideration should you be going on a big trip or hunt in a remote area.

Good luck fixing a hi tech cam bow on your own! The new high output express limbs should go a long way to ensuring that you have zero problems for a long time. A great crossbow thats worth a few extra dollars.

Just picked this up and shot 20 yards as instructed and adjusted the scope accordingly. It was pretty close out of the box. I then went to 50 using the correct triangle in the reticle and had to make a minor adjustment.

I then switched over to the Rage 100 grain Trypan Crossbow broad head and adjusted accordingly for elevation and windage as they do not fly the same as a fieldpolnt. I strongly recommend that you do your final sighting with an actual broadhead if you plan on hunting as this is the only ethical way to ensure your arrow is on.

Yes you end up loosing one broadhead from your pkg, but you still have 2 new ones that are assured of making a clean kill. This bow and scope pkg. is top notch and for this price point, it is hard to find a better shooting bow On another note, the Cabelas salesman was very informative and helpful.

Called in a few bucks with the Trophy Buck setting and placated a bunch of doe when they started to get spooked with the fawn and doe settings. Works instantly. Worked like a charming deer call.

I received my grunt call today. The quality of the product is mediocre at best, the tube seems to be very fragile, like it won’t last if you adjust it frequently. The tones sound great, I just hope the product will last.

Shipping took 10 ten days to get, that was a little frustrating.

I am a 4-H archery instructor. I our program we use the Genesis bows. The Standard size Genesis which weighs 3. 5 lbs with a draw weight of 20 lbs which is easily adjustable down to 10 lbs using only an allen wrench works very well for almost all youth as well as adults.

We have found that some very young beginning shooters have difficulty holding the bow up at arms length due to the weight or are unable to fully draw it back. For these shooters, the Mini Genesis with a weight of 2 lbs and a draw weight of 12 lbs adjustable down to 6 lbs helps them.

Both the standard and the mini genesis bows are high quality products. I consider the the Mini Genesis to be something of a specialty product intended for the beginner who is not quite ready for the Standard size.

The Standard has a slightly longer draw length and will serve the owner well for a lifetime. Both are compact, high quality, rugged products.

Purchased for my 6 year old daughter. Shoots well enough with the poundage turned down with the supplied arrows. However it’s frustrating on 3D targets because the arrows don’t stick. The solution is to cut down some super light carbon arrows.

Seems to shoot much faster now and the arrows stick much better. I’ve also added a whisker bisket rest to help keep the arrow in place. Makes shooting more fun I think. The trick is you need to add spacers to get the rest close enough to the riser.

Great bow. Light enough for a kid to hold and very easy to use.

Just because your child is right handed dose not mean they are right eye dominant. An added bonus with these bows is that they tend to hold their value pretty good.

We purchased the Radians Youth Shooting Ear Muff as a gift for my best friend’s son. So far, these seem very durable and well made. And I found them to be a great value! Best of all they fit a youth very well.

I will be buying them for others family members during hunting season.

Bought this muff for my son to shoot over the weekend. Worked great. He said they were comfortable and blocked the sound.

These are a fantastic value, great fit, low profile, and decent noise reduction. I got a pair of these for me and my wife. She loves them, she wears them almost all the time she is around me, even in the house! Good value, would definitely recommend.

I received my Maverick 6 a week ago. I was able to put it in the woods yesterday. Ill be initially using it on the ground to hunt out of with my kids in East Tennessee. We have a large bear population and therefore I go through at least one blind a year due to the bears tearing them up.

My hopes is that this blind will be able to withstand the bears. The blind itself is very light and installation was easy. Took me about an hour to get up. All in all seems to be great quality and should last me many years to come.

The adjusting wingnut was NOT threaded. I had to thread the nut to 1/4 20 threads for it to screw into its matching holder. This came out of a factory sealed package, so it must have been a factory defect.

Luckily I am very mechanical and had the necessary tap and die tools to fix the problem. One other thing I wish it had had was ratcheting strap buckles. The buckles on the included straps are very hard to properly tighten to a tree trunk or limb.

An over center type of buckle would also work. I plan to replace the included buckles with a more secure type of buckle.
