20 Best Youth Soccer Socks (2022 Updated)

Granted, these were not expensive socks. However, paying anything over $3. 00 for these socks is too much. Here is why: These Under Armour socks are too thin. Definitely too thin in the foot and lower ankle area.

Out of the small sock package, these socks practically scream, “We’re only going to last about 4-5 games/practices before you see significant rips and holes. ” My pair already featured a small tear in the lower ankle area before trying on the first time, a tear that will only grow right away if/when used in a 2-hour practice.

The pair I received also ran a bit small. Those commenting on the size being small and thus making it difficult to wedge in proper shinguards are accurate in what they share with you in these reviews.

I would not buy these again. A very poor job from Under Armour. Caveat: If you are one who cuts away the foot section and just wears better cotton socks for your feet (like many pros do), maybe these cheap nylon/polyester UA socks can work for you.

Yes, they are thin material. Almost like mesh when stretched into place. Thus a bit more breathable. So it might work for someone playing in a hot & humid game situation. But don’t pay anything over $3.

00 (including sales tax).

Wish Under Armour would make them how they use to make the ABU colored ones. Were my favorite ultra thin socks for years. New ones are way too small even on largest size. Rim of sock blows out after a few uses and holes instantly form on heels.

Feels cheap.

I recently bought these socks assuming they were similar to previous UA socks. They will do for now, but I liked the compression fit of the previous UA hockey socks and the grips on the foot to hold in the boot.

I will likely switch to another brand if they don’t offer the same quality of hockey sock.

Ordered multiple colors and sizes to fit AFOs (orthotics) for the individuals we serve at a long term care facility. The socks we typically use have been very hard to find lately and we took the SofSole socks for a trial run.

They fit great, look great (love the colors available) and we have had no issues with them (always concerned about skin integrity) so far.

These work great for my son to wear for his baseball. Whether practicing or during the actual game, these socks hold up to the sliding and craziness of on-the-go baseball. They give cushion where needed on the toe and heel area and are not too thick and yet not to thin as well.

They have a great quality and are awesome as far as price goes! I highly recommend.

They start out ok but by the end of practice I notice my 9 year old pulling up his shin guards repeatedly. Good for the price I guess but you get what you pay for. Honestly, their main competitor branded socks are thicker and hold tight for longer.

Uniform is great. packing arrived separately, but again receiving took almost two mos. That is the only downside. receiving merchandise. They need a faster turnaround time. my don worn jersey one time and the season is over.

The socks are very tight from knee to ankle. Normally I expect some room, but not with this style. First wear, they felt a bit slippery in the boot. Particularly as the sock seems to do the opposite of keeping my feet dry.

I have used them twice, and both times, my foot feels damp. so but sure what the Dri tech is supposed to do. It’s a cheap sock, and I play once a week. It does the job, but if I play in normal cotton sports socks, they feel much more comfortable and dry compared to these.

But, they are cheap, and are more durable.

Great quality socks. Thick and seem to stand up well to kids who insist on sliding all over the soccer grounds every week. Drying time is a brilliant feature that makes life so much easier. I just wish they had sizes stitched into the weave as i have 3 boys and struggle matching pairs up every wash.

My husband heard of Johns story and decided we were buying a pair of socks for each of our family members for Christmas. Loved the selection. Was able to find a pair to meet each persons unique personalities.

Do not buy the socks! First, the sizing is not correct. I ordered smalls for my six-year-old son who wears size 13 shoes. They were way too small for him. So I ordered larges. These fit but are incredibly long for him.

Second, you cannot return these to Walmart! So I contacted the company to see what I needed to do to return them. They emailed me back and asked what was wrong with the socks and I explained. I have not received any email in return and so now I am stuck with socks that I cannot use.

I have tried contacting them multiple times now and I have not received any information. Save yourself the money and buy socks somewhere else !!.

I agree with reviews that these run small, so size up. The junior (7-9) fit my 5 year old, but were a little small/short on the heel for my 7 year old. They are size 11 and size 2 in shoes. Shipping was super fast and quality and color are nice! I would recommend and plan to buy the next size up for my 7 year old.

Arrived super fast. Socks are thick and soft. Beautiful bright hot pink. Better than expected.

Bought these for my newly 4 year old for her first soccer session. She’s a shoe size 9/10, average foot width, I bought the XS. The foot of the sock is so big and bulky in her tight cleats. The shin guard seems like for extra skinny legs, again average sized calves.

Height of sock is about right, up to her knees. Not super thick. Overall they work for her.

Got these for my son who is a goalie for Lacrosse and wanted to protect his shins after a good hit. the socks were a nice material and fit him just fine. but the shin guards were about half the width of his shin.

Hes not a big kid, no particularly thick legs. he’s at the top of the height range for these, but there was no way they were going around his shins even 5inches ago. Will be returning and bringing him with me for trying on other options.

My Kindergartener needed shin guards for 6 weeks of soccer. Of course, with shin guards then comes the need for socks. I am not sure how committed he will be to the sport. The size and pricepoint of these are perfect for my 6 year old.

Purchased these for baseball after using Reebok socks. These Under Armour socks are very comfortable, thick and sturdy. No blisters/cracked feet. Definitely worth picking up for your sporting needs.

I bought them in search of the perfect sock for wearing Cowboy boots. They are great. They don’t roll over or fall off of the calfs. They stay up ALL DAY! I would buy them again.

Looks like the shin guards are no longer removable. I first bough a pair of white socks for my son. Really awesome product. Slipping in the shin guards or taking them out was so easy. Ordered a pair of black ones earlier this week.

Same greqat quality except it appears the shin guards are not removable any more. This makes wearing the socks quite difficult.

These are just so great for the player and MOM lol My daughter no longer complains of the Velcro being too tight or itchy! I ordered a S/M and they fit great. Her legs are pretty slim, if you’re child’s legs a bit bigger i would size up.

Very easy on/easy off. Bought the pink and white, definitely will be buying the black. For Toddlers only not children over the age 6.

I got 2 different sizes for my 10 year old daughter – S/M and M/L – she could not squeeze her legs into either. She is skinny and petite for her age – these are too small for her. qualify is good with extra padding for ankles – love that, but will have to return.

I would definitely recommend this product based on quality assuming you find the right size for your kid.

I purchased over a dozen of these for my U7 boys team (so basically a bunch of 6 year-olds). I ordered the Youth Small – which, according to the size chart posted in the description, should have fit my players perfectly (the exact size range their feet are).

The socks were WAY too big (not just the feet, but too big around the calf (even when the kids were wearing shin guards underneath. I had to call and go through a lot of hoops to return them because, according to the label they were the correct size.

On top of it all, these socks are NOT great quality (the yarn is so thick they seem almost sweater-like with no elastic-feel. I usually like Umbro stuff, but I definitely do NOT recommend these socks.

These are great socks for a kid and sold at a nice price. They’re reasonably sturdy and reasonably comfortable. For whatever reason, my kids seem to like Umbro socks the best – for comfort/performance not style reasons.

Not long enough and skimpy in calf. Foot ok. Bought baseball socks at Academy years ago, they were great and that’s why I bought them again. Not the same fit. Quality yet to be determined afer wash and wear.

I am in love with these soccer socks! They have really comfortable heel and toe cushioning and the green is a beautiful deep color. They are long enough and work great for me (a 5’4 lady soccer player)!.

these socks feel better than others but constantly fall down. We’ve tried different sizes thinking that was the issue but they still fall down. constantly have to be pulled up on the field.

I wear 10/10.5 and ordered a large. While the sock is comfy and easy to get on, it is still a little too big. Medium would have fit better.

These socks are great when they don’t have holes in them. They fit & feel better than the Nike & Adidas socks. Unfortunately, they only last 2-3 months after purchase. The past few weeks, I’ve slowly thrown away all but 2 pair.

Soccer socks I feel these are happy mix of comfort and fit. Just enough cushion to not change the way your boots feel. Nice length and stay up. Checks all the boxes for me.

These socks are fantastically tight. If you like having a tight sock that will hold your guards in place without those annoying extra sleeves, these are your socks.

If you are looking for something that will keep your little one’s shins “safe”, I highly recommend these. I did research online and asked my students which types of shin guards were best: the ones that come with the sock, or the ones that are detachable.

I bought these shin guards thinking that I would later replace them with more durable name-brand shin guards.

they really do protect and are comfortable at the same time. These do not pinch, slide off, or irritate skin.

These shin guards are good quality, but the company sent me the wrong color. I ordered the red shin guards, but they sent me white ones. It’s too late to send them back now because soccer season has already started.

I would have given a 5 star, but expecting one color and receiving another, knocked off a few stars.

the socks were fab, great value for money, no issues however! the £5 charge for click and collect is absolutely ridiculous! im sure this is a service people can opt for to make it cheaper as its usually free!? i wouldnt mind but its not like your not a massive chain store making plenty of money anyway! i would consider paying this to help a small independent business, but this is just greed.

Absolutely rubbish quality the plastic fixing them to the cardboard shredded the socks causing instant ladders and they were unusable. These socks just will not stand any kind of snagging and are just not fit for purpose.

As for calling them “elite” well don’t get me started. Didn’t take them back as I couldn’t be bothered with an argument about how they weren’t fit for purpose.

These socks are much too small around the calves! I don’t have particularly big legs, but these are really tight and would hurt if worn to play. Maybe suitable if you are built like Peter Crouch, but not otherwise.

I bought a pair of these socks for my 11 year old football enthusiast. He used it only once and they tore from behind the ankle. Although the product was changed easily but why should this happen in the first place.

The foot fitting of the sock is quite tight. It is probably intended for smaller fee than mine. It was hard to determine which sock size was best for me as the sizing labels were vague. Apart from that, the material is fine and the sock length is substanitial.

Very poor quality socks and very poor service. Decathalon sucks. Cheap products looting hard earn money from innocent people.

PRO’s: Very tall. Plenty enough elastic throughout to keep them up all day too. Durable materials. Super effective at minimizing moisture and stink. CON’s: The top elastic is far too restrictive for my giant calves and hurts because it digs in.

But when I pull them down to below the widest part of my calves, then the socks sag. And the material just isn’t thick enough to really fill up my Belleville field boots. I got these based on the description and positive reviews to help fill up my combat boots and reduce slipping and sliding.

These fail at that. They’re too thin. So they don’t do any better than my existing midweight wool OTC socks. Oh well. Still looking. In fact, I made the mistake of forgetting to take them off one morning and I slid my work sneakers right on over them, and the shoes did not feel tight at all.

If these were genuine boot socks, then those running shoes should definitely have struggled to contain the socks and my feet. But these socks not only fail to fill my boots–they fail to even fill my sneakers.

So I have been using them in an alternative capacity: winter sleeping socks. I had to bust out the long PJs for this cold season, and I needed tall socks to go with. These work fantastic in that role.

They’re snug and soft. And they fight foot moisture and smell, even on those nights when I get overheated and sweat in my long PJs. I would like to point out that as of this time, nowhere in the ad copy does it actually say that these are “boot” socks.

I think that that is very telling. So the material is wonderful. But the thickness is disappointing. And the calf opening is painful. p. s. : For some reason, all of my socks say “L” on the bottoms of the soles.

I would think that they should say “L” or “R” (for left and right), right? Weird.
