20 Best Youth Track Spikes (2022 Updated)

Saucony really nailed it with the styling on the new Havoks! I really liked last year’s pink/orange/red or whatever color it was I’ve heard people call it all 3 but that’s besides the point. I got mine in what I’m going to call “British racing green” because that’s what it reminds me of.

These shoes are VERY comfortable don’t get me wrong, but beware if you are a guy who doesn’t wear socks with your spikes. Naturally you would want to wear your spikes tight to avoid losing them in a race but the first time out in mine I ran a 5k and in that short distance the skin on the back of my right heel was completely worn off and it was very painful.

My left shoe wasn’t quite as tight and I had no problems with my left foot. The only other complaint I have is that the sole is maybe a little too on the soft side, as there were a few occasions where I could feel small rocks and roots stabbing at the bottom of my feet, but that really isn’t a big deal.

Otherwise, I really like these spikes and even though they are “heavier” than the last model they actually feel lighter and more responsive so they are great spikes and I still highly recommend them.

The Saucony Havoc XC Running Shoe / Spike is a great entry to mid level running shoe. I have purchased two pairs for my young cross country runners and they have taken the abuse of a full cross country and indoor track season.

Durable, mid/lightweight, and a great sole, these are a solid purchase that are perfect for the well suited foot (all brands “feel” differently to different runners). The great thing about the Havoc is that its older models are just as strong as its most recent issues making deadstock shoes a wonderful bargain.

I love the Havoc XC Race Flat. They are very light. I’ve been running in these for 3 years now, everything from 50m-200m sprints, to 2-4 miles, and even weight lifting. I highly recommend.

This pair of New Balance shoes has a ice neutral color (black with a bit of green and white). Bought this for my son for back to school and he is very happy with the fit and comfort. He does parkour and has no problem with the vaults and jumps, even after wearing it for just a few days.

We did not find the right size for him in-store, so had these shipped to us. The pair arrived within 5 days. Quick and easy order and shipping process.

I bought these shoes for my 12 year-old son who claims that they are the, “most comfortable shoes ever!” They look great and he only wants to wear this pair of shoes currently, so hopefully they will last for a bit.

So far, they seem durable, and he loves them. He wants a similar style in a different color, and I’ll probably get them based on his experience with these. Highly recommended.

I have several other colors in this style so I knew how comfortable they already were. However I never tried them in the childrens sizing. Turns out, they are even more comfortable if that’s possible.

I think maybe due to the wider toe box. Which makes a difference for those of us with wide feet. Great buy!!.

I purchased these sneakers for my 8 year old granddaughter. She loves them to the point of wearing them more than her other footwear. She said they are comfortable and very easy to clean. The price was reduced making it that much more easier on my pocketbook.

I brought these trainers for my little boy. Very stylish, easy to slip on which is great. They also come with spare laces. Definitely recommend

I bought these for my 12yo daughter and she loves them. They hold up to normal kids’ wear and tear, and she says they are super comfortable. I’d buy them for her again if she wanted.

My daughter absolutely enjoys wearing her new shoes. It was a bit shaky at first with learning how to run in them, but after recovering from her initial day 1 fall injury. she’s back on track and running faster than ever.

Received theses shoes But no spikes or wrench and the shoes laces looked used. Had to go to the store to get me laces and spikes and wrench. The shoes themselves fit happy on that end.

3 Week ago a went to Dicks looking for a pair of spiked track shoes. Found these great looking pair. Very comfy and stylish!

Bought these spikes about 2 weeks ago, they are very comfortable,durable,lightweight, and affordable spikes. If your deciding between Nike and addidas go with Nike! They will change your life. And if your looking for anything else that is like these spikes you will be searching for the rest of your life.

I used these spikes for a few months they worked great. The day before the invitationals I raced a team with an old beat up thin track. In result the individual spikes on the shoe bent inwards and when I used them for invitationals the next day they stabbed into my feet as I raced.

These spikes aren’t durable.

Every track season for the past 4 years, my kids’ have continually worn the Nike Zoom Rival series spikes and have been happy with the comfort, fit, and durability of this track spike. The mesh material allows flexible and comfortable movement, without needing “to break them in”.

Bought for my 9yo daughter and she’s really happy with them. Spikes aren’t the most comfortable shoes but these have been less weird than some of the others we’ve tried and fit her better. She spent a full hour at athletics wearing them and no pain or blisters!.

Love these sprint spikes. I’ve never bought puma previously but now that I have I can definitely say that they are the best sprinters I’ve used yet. They are very comfortable and supportive. Definitely recommend.

Though I got a bigger size cuz I have to use about 1cm insoles, they are awesome compared to the uncomfortably rigid nike spikes I was using. Great one

I received these track shoes with only 12 spikes. The description says that they will come with 7 spikes and that’s how many holes there are in each shoe. The last time I checked 7 + 7 = 14 not 12! I contacted customer service and they said I had to return them.

There was none available in the store in my daughter’s size no spike cleats at all. Now I have to return these and she will have no track shoes. So disappointing!.

I bought these a month a go online and when I received them they were impressive. At first I thought that they were very small for me (size 10), but after trying them out, they worked just fine. I don’t recommend for regular use because they are very narrow and will wear out with over time too.

It might help to size up 1 or 1/2 size. They are reasonable for the price and will make you fast.

Not true to size. We ordered this shoe for my daughter. It was much, much smaller than expected. She consistently wears a size 5 regardless of brand. including Nike. This didn’t come close to fitting.

It looked like one of Cinderella’s step-sisters trying to fit their large feet into the tiny glass slipper when she tried it on. Very cool shoe. Just make sure you order a size, OR TWO, up.

My son says these spikes are comfortable and spikes provided are perfect for his sprinting training sessions and competitions.

Bought these a month ago, they fit really well and are suprisingly comfortable for field spikes. You might want to purchase additional spikes prior to leaving the store, these fell out after the first race.

My daughter likes the color of the cleats. They aren’t as comfortable as her nike cleats from last year, but she still likes them. They are very lightweight.

Super good spikes. Haven’t used them for a cross county season but they make greet distance spikes. The spike plays is pretty rigid but doesn’t go down the shoe that far so it allows for a more comfortable feel.

If this is your first pair of spikes, where a thin sock when trying them on and if you are having trouble getting them on a greet way to get around this is folding the heel part down and sliding your foot as far in as you can and folding the heel back up is far easier.

I bought these during track season last year and they were great. Wearing them for XC season rn and they are still an awesome spike. Extremely light weight and breathable if you don’t wear socks. The shoe itself is durable but the Nike Swoosh and the other designs have began to come off.

Fit is narrow and tight like zoom victory xc4’s, I would say buy 1/2 size bigger than normal Nike running shoes. Purchased and reordered a pair due to insole being glued in crooked. The second pair I received had the same problem with the right insole glued more crooked than the first.

Also, the left shoe had the insole bunched at the toes and could not be flattened making it unwearable. Seems like a nice shoe with some quality control issues.

Bought the Asics Hypersprint 7 and love it! The colour is my favourite and it fits very nicely. As a sprinter, we want to have snug fit. Energy transfer is amazing and with good ankle dorsiflex techniques, I can really feel the energy rebound.

Pricing was very competitive and shipping was value for money, though it took nearly 2+ weeks to come through snail mail, Didn’t want to pay $70 for DHL to Singapore. Otherwise, overall great experience and will likely order another pair as a backup.

Very very happy with the Asics md spikes. Delivery was prompt. And my son loves these shoes. He is 11 and knocked 5 sec off his 200m pb first time wearing them. From 35s in joggers to 30s in spikes. The next week he beat his PB in the 100m by 2s.

Now 14s. And HJ improved 3cm to 130cm. A must have for every athlete.

Hypersprint is a very good basic spike for track running, I have been using them for years now for competitive sprinting. The shoe is quite stiff, which I find to be a very good feature especially when running in and out the curve.

These are just the jobs for the running running shoes. Easy to fit and seem fairly durable.

Not for me. Tried them in a few races and did not like them. Wish Saucony had a return policy when you are not happy with a shoe like many other brands have. Way overpriced to not offer something like that.

They look like they are a quality product, hsve yet to test them out on the track. So can’t really comment on the gripnor performance aspect at the moment

Ultra light spikes. Had them before and loved them. With growing feet, did not want to change the shoes, so bought the next size up of the same one. Love Saucony, and especially their track and field shoes.

I first got the product in late April, at the time my mile PR was 5:09 (freshman in hs) and the first time I used these during a race I ran 4:58, an 11 second PR. The lightweight body of the shoes and good spike placement allowed for optimal grip on straight always and the turns along the track.

I have ran somewhere around 6 1600 races in these and they have not failed me once. genuinely happy with the performance of the spikes. 100% recommend to any new runner wanting to improve during the track season.

Bought these for my sons upcoming track season. Spikes were easy to attach. I love the carry bag, it’s an awesome way to keep up with your cleats! For the price, they were a steal! Overall good purchase!.

Our 9th grader is in his 1st year of track & field and these shoes are just what he needed. They’re affordable so we won’t feel robbed if he outgrows them and we have to replace them before the season is out.

They’re lightweight and comfortable, and a gear bag and tool for getting the spikes on and off was included. They run about a half size small though so order up.

These are my 5th pair of these flats. My typical run is 3-6 miles, 3-4x a week as a compliment to the rest of my training. Pros: lightweight, flat, fast, very durable Cons: tight/narrow toe box, especially out of the box.
