18 Best Yoyos For Beginners (2022 Updated)

This is great for a few months while baby is still needing to lay flat in the stroller. I wish the harness could be a little longer so baby could use it for a longer period of time. My 2 month old (23 inches long) is almost outgrowing it already.

It was hard to install at first. The instructions were a little confusing (think IKEA furniture confusing), but found some YouTube videos that helped. Folds up great while on the stroller frame and is pretty sturdy.

My 2 month old is a fan.

Critical for using the Babyzen Yoyo2 when the baby is <6 months old. It is rather convoluted to install (the instructions are useless, but there are good YouTube videos that demonstrate how to install), which is the only reason I am docking a star.

It is very high quality, and the kit includes a winter cold weather mug for the legs, as well as a rain cover. For a travel stroller for young babies, it is phenomenal!.

I bought 2 of these strollers for each one of my children for travel and for ease instead of the large bulky nuna strollers they have. Both daughters said they are so happy with the Yo Yo. It folds compact, very easy to control with one hand, and put the car seats into it.

Looking forward to seeing how it does when they travel through the airport soon! Magic Beans is an awesome company to do business with. Extremely knowledgeable, and understanding of our concerns and needs.

They will be my and my girls go to for any future baby products needed.

Pros: My husband loves this stroller. It’s easy, it’s light and convientently small. We have not used it (baby due in 2 weeks) but for the most part we see ourselves using this stroller daily. Quality is impressive for a umbrella stroller.

I’ll be surprised if this doesn’t last us years. We also have the bugaboo donkey mono version, it is gorgeous but heavy and big. Cons: Due to the fact that is light weight the weight limit for child is not very high.

Pros: -Double pushchair is easy to assemble -easy to manage on flat surfaces -easy to fold down and unfold -packs down neatly so easy to store in car etc… -looks nice -love the fact you can easily carry along the second pushchair on the back of the first, great if you have a child who wants to walk but might get tired later -plenty of storage on back of chair and underneath Cons: -Curbs and stairs can be challenging, needs a bit of practise since the base is not solid but hinged, so you can’t tip the pushchair to lift the front wheels, you have to use the front pushchair handle too, in order to go up a curb or step.

-will be too long for some small lifts -can’t use them as two separate pushchairs, I’m sure that this could have been done but Babyzen makes more money if they can’t be used separately.

Ordered the baby zen, obviously it’s a lot of money. Didn’t get the colour I wanted as once I ordered it I was sent a email to say it’s out of stock until a month later? I phoned up and the agent was able to atleast get me a buggy sent but not the colour I wanted.

The buggy then came, quite easy to ensemble. But unfortunately I wasn’t best pleased as I thought you could have the two buggies as singles but you can only have one as a single. Hood on the pram isn’t great, doesn’t come with rain cover for the price it should!! Seat doesn’t go back very far and I find my son won’t fall asleep in it! Very easy to push the one pram, not so easy with the two together.

No easy to go up curbs, I have to disconnect mine to get them in the house because of the hight of door! Isn’t much room under pram for shopping etc. Easy to fold down, very small and compact. Overall wouldn’t pay that amount of money for it again! No way!.

Sceptical but glad we took the plunge. The basket beneath is nice and roomy and the hood shades my little ones face when it’s sunny. You can tell it’s had lots of thought and design put behind it, even to the detail that the pushchair won’t tip up if there’s something on the handle bars.

The back pocket is also very useful for my phone and keys A couple of quibbles I had, was learning how to take it down and put up with a squirming one year old. And how the front wheels have to be straight to do so.

It isn’t exactly a one handed fold and is a little fiddly when you first use it, I had to watch a few YouTube videos to get the jist of how to make it easier on myself putting it up and down with ease.

But once you get used to how it works it is a very good stroller. Accessory wise, the Babyzen yoyo 2 doesn’t come with a rain cover, (I haven’t actually ordered one yet but I probably will) however the hood is claimed to have waterproof treatment.

It does come with a nice travel bag but we don’t really use this. You can buy many accessories for the Babyzen, which can rack up cost wise, but we’ll probably just get the buggy board for our eldest, along with a rain cover for when it’s needed.

We had a very expensive travel system before which was bulky but very reliable. we bought a cheap compact stroller to help save boot space on days out (which admittedly was easier to put up and down than the Babyzen, but was incredibly flimsy and wobbly) you do pay extra for the Babyzen but the quality behind it is noticeable in comparison to cheap alternatives.

Terrain wise, we live in the city, but we’ve taken it on woodland walks and across grassed areas with the dogs and it’s held up incredibly well. On flat even surfaces it really does feel very light and smooth and I quite often walk it one handed, which I haven’t been able to do with any other pushchair we’ve used.

Overall it is an incredibly stylish stroller, and if I knew about this pushchair when my first was born, we would have 100% bought a Babyzen yoyo with the added extras for a newborn.

So I debated over getting a yoyo2 for months!! Also contemplated between this, the joolz & the butterfly. Took the plunge at last and got this in the taupe colour. Mainly went with the yoyo as I preferred the design and the look the best.

I think it also has the most compact fold out the. Anyway the things I like: The colour, the basket, the zip pocket on the back was a winner for me, the size when folded and the carry handle is very comfy on the shoulder and weighs nothing! I like the newborn accessories you can get for it too which would be good if you go on to have another baby and want to purchase them! Things I don’t like: The seat doesn’t sit up enough in my opinion so baby is always slouched, the hood covers the face nicely but not enough protection from the sun on the rest of the body, could do with a larger/extendable hood, the fold does take some getting used to and mine seems to fling back open alot and I have hurt my finger a few times! The fact the add ones are all extras and not even included for the price like the raincover ect could at least come with it, one of my front wheels did start wobbling a lot on some tiled flooring in a shopping centre the second time I used it, the push is nice with one hand on flat surfaces but did struggle to even get across some stones/bumps! Don’t think it will work for me as a every day pram unfortunately! Is alot of money to just use for holidays.

Anyway on a whole that’s the reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars! I think it’s down to personal preference when it comes to prams! I have had alot of prams and have 3 children so I’m pretty fussy. It’s well made and does feel like it would last but I don’t think it lives up to the hype in my opinion and I did view them in shops first but I think you can only truly get a proper vibe after using a pram for a whole day out and about not just round a shop with nice flat flooring ect.

The Yoyo2 definitely doesn’t disappoint for travel. It’s light and folds up impressively small. It doesn’t unfold as easily as advertised (with one elegant motion…). Instead, wheels get swiveled and stuck and require being flipped around (Maybe I just need to practice my skillz.

). My large 17 mo old slouches down a lot in the seat, which in my view is a a design flaw, but since we are traveling a ton the pluses outweigh the minuses. It’s annoying that you have to pay $$$ for even the little foot rest thing, so that your kid’s little legs don’t dangle, not to mention rain cover and all the other add-ons.

(Universal rain cover we already had works just fine, FYI, tho a little big). Be sure to check which add ons work while it’s folded up if you do get them- the whole point of this thing is ease of fold and how small it gets.

Even with lots of bags it’s easy to hang it on your shoulder with the built in carry strap and haul onto the plane and into overhead bin. I wouldn’t gate check because it doesn’t feel that durable, honestly.

The storage space underneath is small but decent for a travel stroller. Don’t hang a bag on it- it will tip! The wheels are smooth except if you get moving fast even on a good concrete surface- then they can suddenly wobble like crazy.

Sun cover is a bit skimpy. Overall was a good buy for us for size and travel convenience on the plane etc. I do think it’s overpriced but there weren’t other options we thought would be better.

I bought this stroller to use it as my everyday main stroller, not just for travel (I live in NYC where most sidewalks are narrow and many places aren’t stroller friendly + wanted something that didn’t take much space in my apt).

I was a bit hesitant on the fact you can’t have your baby facing you with this model like some other brands, but got used to it. My brother has had it for a while and I was the one who brought it over to him as a carry-on inside a plane back then (they don’t sell this brand where he lives) – it was SO easy to fold and carry around that after that experience I was sold and told myself I’d get it if I had a baby one day.

This stroller is fab – light, hight quality and compact. I’m so happy I went with it; granted it’s been just a month of use but so far so good! I’ll update my review if something negative comes up. I took it to long walks through some rough sidewalks, inside stores and museums, on the subway and parks.

The wheels are pretty good and offer a super smooth ride considering how small they are. It’s probably not as good as other strollers with “off-road” type of wheels, but I personally think it’s great and enough for our needs.

The stroller is sturdy and well balanced; i’ve carried a heavier diaper bag hanging over the handles a few times and it never tilted back b/c of weight when baby wasn’t on it. Only downside is cost – it’s on the pricier side especially if you start adding accessories (I got the coffee cup, footmuff and leg rest; all worthy additions in my opinion).

Good thing is that you can find some pretty cool accessories and “hacks” Babyzen doesn’t make on Amazon for cheap like a handle bar for baby and a snack table; I bought a small clip-on mirror so I could see my baby and a rain cover that I’m using as protection for covid too when inside closed spaces that was 1/2 the price the original one.

This makes accessorizing the yoyo a bit more affordable. Lastly, opening and closing the stroller is a breeze, it only takes a couple times to learn it. If helpful to know, my baby is almost 6mo now and I starting using the yoyo when he turned 5 (key thing is to be sure your baby can support their head and lower the seat a bit to they’re almost laying down).

Oh speaking of the seat, one thing to note is that it doesn’t come down to lay completely flat but it’s been ok for us. I highly recommend the Yoyo and can’t wait to use it in my first trip with my baby!.

I took ages to decide on a pram and put in a lot of research. We settled on the YOYO because we live in London and would be doing lots of public transport. We are 6 months into using the pram now and I can safely say that it was the right choice for us.

Our local tube station doesn’t have a lift and I have no problems taking the pram down the stairs. Its super easy with the bassinet attached because you get built in handles. The pram handles so easily on paved ground and we even take it off roading in our local park.

It isn’t an all-terrain buggy, but we knew that going in. I find the accessories are pricey, but so far it has been worth it. The pram feels solid and substantial whilst taking up no room at all. With the bassinet, and car seat adaptors, this pram is everything we needed.

I’m pleased we got this one now that lots of my Mum friends are replacing their larger travel systems with smaller prams.

I bought the Babyzen Yoyo after struggling with my larger pram going into central London on the tube by myself. I honestly wish I had heard about this sooner as it has been an absolute game changer! It’s so light and easy to manoeuvre with one hand and even better that I no longer have to ask for any help lifting the pram up stairs! It was a little fiddly at first to get the hang of the fold and to assemble but once you get the hang of it it’s really not an issue.

It’s a great space saver in the car too and means I can get the shopping in with no trouble! My son always looks so comfy in it and naps really well when we’re out for walks. Really glad we took the chance on this pram and would definitely recommend to other mums and dads!.

Such a great buggy!! So light, folds away easily and love the carry strap and storage bag. The fact you can replace the seat and hood fabric for a reasonable price was a really big factor in choosing this over other lightweight buggies available.

Plus all the different add ons you can buy make it a worthwhile investment. It quickly got covered in sand and sun lotion grease marks but feel much better about it knowing I can easily wash & replace the covers.

I bought this bassinet for my son who arrived in early July. He was average size (7. 7lb) at birth and has pretty much been in the 50 percentile weight and length to date. The initial problems I had were with the fact there were no straps and because the bassinet actually angles down towards you slightly (similar to the other comments on here – it doesn’t lie completely horizontal) he would slip down and I would have to constantly unzip the bassinet to move him back in to position.

This was something I could deal with, but for around the last month I’ve been struggling to even fit him in and am now at the point where, at just under 5 months old I will have to buy a new pram as he is not ready to go front facing in the 6+ month stroller.

I’m really disappointed and wouldn’t buy this again if we had another child. I know the 6+ month set will be great as my sister uses this, but I can’t physically move my child around now unless he goes in his harness with me and it’s frustrating to have to spend extra because of this.

The only pro I think vs buying the newborn pack is that the bassinet does seem sturdier and there is a thicker mattress for your baby to lie on.

Bought as part of the bundle package. Really lovely pram altogether, however it is very compact and a soon as my son was born (9. 7lbs) and we placed him in the bassinet we could tell straight away that it would not last him until he reached six months.

We are now at 3 1/2 months and he has outgrown the bassinet, it is difficult taking him out as when he stretches his feet gets caught at the bottom and his head in the canopy. Also, when attempting simple manoeuvers such as tilting the pram or lifting, he is not stable as there is no straps resulting in him slipping to the bottom or tilting outwards making this completely unsafe.

This has left us in limbo between the bassinet and the 6+ month pack as he cannot sit up unaided. I would recommend the newborn pack as we are having to buy this. Of course, we are not happy as we did not expect to pay out again for a pack or system which will now only use for a couple of months.

This was much smaller than I thought it would be. Not that much bigger than a normal yo- yo. I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. But it wasn’t suitable for me and my cross stitch. I couldn’t position it the way I wanted.

It was awkward. I tried in my lap and on the table. Didn’t work. It kept falling over and was very lightweight. The magnifying glass was really good. So clear! Even though it was small. I didn’t try out the lights because I didn’t want to ruin it as I had decided to return it.

Which I did today. That was good. I bought something else in its stead. That is much better, also from Hobbycraft. The idea of a yoyo lamp is really good. It just needs to be bigger and more flexible and the base needs to be heavier.

I know the idea is to keep it light and small so it’s easier to travel with but I think it still needs adjustments. Sorry!!!!.

I love this wee thing. It’s great the way it folds together and unfolds into a stand that’s easily positioned. I bought it to check knife edges and saw blades for defects. It works great with clear magnification with the added bonus of good light.

Solid build great product highly recommend.

The is a great little magnifier and the light is really bright. I also used it at knit and knatter, it’s is easy to just drop into your bag and simple to unfold to use. Lots of people have commented on what a good idea this is.

I will take it on holiday with me becausethe way it’s folds up protects the glass.

In addition to the body being galvanized steel the rivet and trigger mechanism have been treated with a rust-resistant process. To me this was important as it is the most likely area to fail if rust occurs.

All the once purchased we’re in good working order. My only minor issue is I wish the whole mint for securing the device to a tree or the ground was slightly larger to allow the use of paracord for an anchor chord.

Otherwise five stars.

They’re high quality and made with mostly metal. A tip to using these is the more line you pull out the harder a fish will have to pull to set it off because of the spring tension. For smaller fish you should probably let out less line when you set it out so it will trip easier.

Small, lightweight and durable. For the $$$, you cant beat it. Work great. Simply set them up and come back later and the fish are there. I love it!

I was thrilled to find a yellow yo-yo like our friend had when he was younger! We’ve been practicing again after, well, let’s just say “many years.” haha

This is a great product. It has been a durable and fun. One thing I would add: In “my” day you could get a little booklet that would show you how to do tricks. It was very handy. The price is great. Better than I imagined it would be.
