20 Best Yugioh Games Pc (2022 Updated)

Any fan of Yugioh surely knows these three names, Joey, Kaiba, and Yugi. Well fans of not only the anime series but the game can enjoy these decks used(or supposedly used) by the three. The case is very sturdy, a bit better then the first Legendary Decks which then only featured Yugi’s cards, this one gives you the cards of the three best duelists of the first Yugioh series.

Though the cards are where the deck does seem to have it’s issues. While some of the classic cards like the Dark Magician, Blues Eyes White Dragon, and Red Eyes Black Dragon are included, others just feel a bit out of place.

Granted getting the three Egyptian God cards, and Exodia are a treat no matter how you look at it, the decks feel like they were quickly put together. The Yugi deck feels as if it’s missing something entirely when you spread the cards out and look at them.

The Kaiba deck seems too thought out to be a good deck to use, and the Joey deck seems way too slapped together with new cards centered around the Red Eyes Black Dragon family. Still even with the cards, it’s still a great product to acquire the cards you otherwise wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else.

And I highly recommend getting it.

It’s been awhile since I’ve played a yugioh console game (or the game at all for that matter) and this was enjoyable in some regards because I got to play with somewhat recent cards and learn some of the newer mechanics I’d missed out on over the years (Xyz, Pendulum, Links).

It does have some interesting features like the ability to play using drafted decks or sealed packs. The promos that come with it are cool but I’m not really interested in Cyberse so probably won’t use them.

However the game has alot of cons and I don’t even know where to start. I guess the forced master rule 4 would be the biggest complaint. I watched an interview with a developer and he stated the story mode duels were supposed to “feel like the anime” but with master rule 4 you can’t have more than one extra deck monster out without link monsters, this wouldn’t be a problem if they tweaked the decks to fit in some links but they kept the decks the same as their original series to be “faithful” despite the fact you can’t be faithful by, let’s just say for example, fusion summoning several heros in GX as Jaden onto the field together.

Yes you can use your own deck instead of the story decks to incorporate links but then it feels like, what’s the point of trying to make it feel like the show then? Also the story mode skips some important duels, and the text before a story game can range from a single line to a chapter in text (all can be skipped though by pressing Y).

The banlist for the game is a weird mashup of cards and I wouldn’t really mind it if we could still play casually online or locally however we wanted and just left the banlist for ranked, sadly that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Last time I tried to play locally with a friend any decks I had with a card that was “banned” didn’t show up as an option for me to use against him. You can use them in any amount against the computer but that just feels silly unless you’re trying to grind rewards.

Another complaint would be how they handle duplicates when opening packs, once you’ve opened at least 3 of a card it doesn’t stop you from opening it again, this wouldn’t be a problem if the game had a feature like how in some past yugioh games you could exchange extra copies for more in game currency to buy more packs.

Instead you never actually have more than that third copy and eventually you could be opening hundreds of packs using thousands of in game currency just to open the last 50 something cards you need from a particular pack.

The game has forced animations for some cards that can’t be skipped and overall the gameplay just feels slow. Don’t believe me? Just watch any video when a card excavates more than 2 cards from the top of the deck and you’ll start to realize how slow everything is going.

Overall I wouldn’t say this game is terrible, it does have access to alot of cards that you can play while chilling on the couch or in bed with the switch in tablet mode. It’s more faithful to the actual card game compared to Duel Links which is Speed Duel rules.

But Link Evolution is lacking in a lot of ways that seem like really simple fixes that just weren’t pursued.

If you happen to grow up playing yugioh games and want an updated version of the gbc, gba, ds games, this is it. The gameplay has grown tremendously over the the decade and the information this game has can be overwhelming.

It can be good to just pick up and duel, or you can play the “campaign” when you just duel ingame characters. An added difficulty to the game is using character decks instead of using your own broken deck once you made one.

You can play online, so good luck with that if you’re just learning the game. The game does a decent job teaching you the added gameplay mechanics progressing thru it’s campaign. Great yugioh game, just wish soundtrack was larger, it was a one of the best features in all yugioh games of the past and that’s where I felt this game messed up on.

The cards included are mediocre imo. I mean cmon. You wont be getting it for that. Besides that the game harkens back to those awesome gameboy advance days of yugioh. If youre a longtime or oldtime fan like me you will love it for that.

But that is also its weakness. The game for what it is, is great but considering it was bumped up in price (i believe it came out 2015 with less cards and stuff and maybe at 20 bucks and digital only for ps4/xb1).

well they could have done better. Granted its not 60 dollars but even at 40 we deserve a tad more. It is set up almost EXACTLY like the gba games from back in the day. Meaning its card vs card no real animation of monsters and stuff.

You get a 2 second video clip of only the most popular monsters used by notorious and very high profile characters. Blue eyes for kaiba and DM for yugi as an example and maybe a couple others as i see a clip for DM girl too.

Anyway they could have done a bit more here. Also getting the cards is a pain. At first its one thing to buy packs 1 by 1 but jeez it never gives the option to buy multiple so youre stuck 24 7 opening 1 by 1.

Man oh man is it annoying and time consuming. Cards only save up to 3 copies of each in the trunk which thats all you normally can have when making 1 deck anyway, however you will keep getting the same cards in a deck so to obtain all cards in one or obtain x3 copies of each will take tons and tons of buys.

individually 1 by 1. I literally did it on the first pack maybe 100x and havent unlocked x3 copy of all cards for it yet. Which is really messed up. Also its cool to be able to duel in each generation and witness the stories but they are JUST like gba once again.

Its a card for card game and you get a picture of a person and then text to read. No voice over. If not video, at least voice and stuff would have been super cool to see. But nooope. Also the dueling and the “mat” is set up just like any game you play today i guess? I was a fan until GX maybe a little bit into GX but that was it, so THAT is why i bought the game to try as up until now i played the gba variants for my yugioh fix.

anyway, its set up like today standards EVEN IN the first generation storyline. Meaning theres 2 upper spots for fusion and xyz summons and whatnot plus the 5 normal zones. Technically you can have 6 at one time it seems because of this and the AI once (later on) did just that before i used a Riegiki card.

So thats odd and annoying to see. And some characters arent shown. you got PaniK and Bones but you dont have the labyrinth twins you dont show the Duke devlin guy or fiendish 5 etc. So the stories are condensed it seems in a sense but they leave out these other key characters and awesome plots too so they can wrap up the story as fast as possible.

Lastly, its still awesome and sort of. worth 40 bucks, but they could have done a heck of a lot more and added to it to spice it up and be worth the 40 bucks. Within a month of release it was going on sale for 29.

99, that says alot imo. I knocked another 5 off with BB rewards so my price was VERY fair to me that i paid. Hopefully the next installment is better and done way better from having the choice of animations of monsters to buying multiple packs of cards to just a better presentation.

Some voices and stuff would be cool if not actual video segments. Also id say including perhaps a hidden game or two or all past gameboy and advance games in a “retro” mode would be suuuuper cool i swear.

Im not saying DS games, but just the gameboy line. Also add a Fast Forward option for the normal game as well as a super FF option if this retro mode happened. And lastly add some video segments or showings.

At the very least do it for when you beat a boss or for ending of each generation. Then again, a compilation like this may not happen again anyway. But thanks to konami and best buy for this game and purchase.

This set of cards are for my grandson who has asked for them for Xmas. The box is New, unwrapped and in pristine condition. So l can recommend the purchase.

This game uses the advanced format rules (higher ATK kills regardless of typing, or other nonsense rules), and features characters from the anime. You build a deck piece by piece to run against Yugi and Joey’s cookie-cutter beatdown decks, all the way through Seto Kaiba’s Blue-Eyes to Pegasus’ outright cheating by seeing what cards you play (even if you don’t look first.

) Cards can be gained 5 at a time semi-randomly between duels, or by inputting an 8-digit code. Additionally, with two copies of the game, two GBA consoles, and a link cable, cards can be transferred between cartridges.

There are some minor glitches (for instance, thee card ‘Last Will’ does nothing), and earlier cartridges used a battery for saving, being inherently volatile, although the later half used a solid state saving apparatus, but overall it is definitely the best duel simulator that 2002 could produce.

With this game, it’s always time to d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-DUEL!.

I’m so grateful that DK Oldies carried the game I was looking for. It arrived in great time and plays great. This game was just what I needed; it’s a perfect nostalgic pick-me-up for whenever I need one.

Used to own this game, bought it again for my nephew to play to learn the basics of Duel Monsters. He played it once for 20’ish minutes and was done, which bummed me but then I played it again and it was just as fun as the first time I owned it.

I realized after a little research that the rules in this Yu-Gi-Oh game are outdated compared to current day so the reason I bought it for my nephew was moot, but I’m still really enjoying playing it again.

Puts me a little bit back in touch with me from 15’ish years ago. Probably going to pick up copies of Poke’mon Fire Red and Sapphire next, but finding legitimate Nintendo carts for Poke’mon can be frustratingly confusing on eBay.

I had this game as a kid and always loved playing it. Is it easy? Yes. But since this is only 1 of 2 Yu-Gi-Oh! RPGs I have no complaints. It follows the Battle City Arc of the show (Season 2 and 3B) and is just a comforting walk down memory lane.

Unfortunately for the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise, they have been cursed with the ability to create either a great story-based game with terrible game-based mechanics or a great game-based game with terrible plot.

This is one of the good-plot ones. Since the plot is good on this, and reminds me quite a bit of the show, I’ve decided to give it some lenience and give it a 3/5. If I were to base my score on the card game’s mechanics, I would give it a 1/5.

The game doesn’t tell you what each card’s effect is, so when your opponent attacks a defense position monster and you take damage, you’re left wondering what happened. The tribute summoning feature is also entirely different from the game, having you summon some monsters with three tributes, some with two, and some with none.

There are lots of cards that aren’t even featured in the show or manga. It’s extremely confusing, to say the least. If you actually want to play the story, this would be a pretty good game to rent. If you want to play Yu-Gi-Oh, this is the worst possible game you could buy.

It has more in common with Madden than it does the card game.

Excellent condition, brings back old memories. The start of it all resided with the foundation of this game and in buying and playing it, it brings back the past which people fondly remember. For those who want a quick start into Yu-Gi-OH! or those who want to learn its roots, they need to go no further than buy this game.

Obviously outdated now & graphics have improved A LOT since. The storyline is pretty good but frustrating the limit of capabilities compared to newer versions. It has plus & minus compared to newer versions these will vary according to what you already like.

Its realistic in the fact you have no idea if someone is friendly or not until they start shooting at you, theres no way to tag enemies so again realistic. Frustrating the information on weapons picked up to know if it is better than the one you have.

Even if the weapon is identical they identify to you that weapons picked up are not in good condition & jam easily and take longer to load but very unclear if you accidentally swap which was your original weapon so I was stuck with a bad weapon that kept jamming and I just kept dying etc as I didnt have a good weapon.

Annoying information on the screen for too long on how to do an action, seemingly no way to ok it to get it off quicker. There are set locations to get med kits but you may have to get in your car and drive somewhere (if you can) in order to get it, one kit fills you up tho.

Inside the safe house is safe but not right outside I learnt when I was set upon by 3 men on exiting the building. I couldnt fill my ammo at the safe house either so you have to really search for pick ups.

If you do get downed tho a friend shows up to help you back on your feet before disappearing. I liked the feature of scouting a compound, taking photos and sending to contact as intel. Finding diamonds for cash was good but I was frustrated about being ill due to Malaria although it gave a different slant to the story and reason behind you being there.

It was interesting but I think needs someone with more patience than I. Good value for price though so I dont regret buying it even though I only played for half a day I was intrigued to see how the earlier versions were done but I prefer playing the more recent ones.

I will still try 3 next though.

I bought this as a cheaper option to Far Cry 3, which I thought was a mite sadistic after years of GTA & Max Payne! I give it 4 stars as I’m only in the start of the game, but it is excellent. The theme is well done – indeed very topical for a 5 year old game, and the scenery is splendid.

You really feel you are in east Africa with the warlords. The occasional bouts of malaria are very realistic. It is not as free ranging as GTA, but also not as prescriptive as Max Payne. It plays very well on the xBox and will clearly require a degree of thought and cunning to progress to a successful conclusion.

Highly recommended. Now onto 2020 & I’ve been laying this game over & over again. As a one time ‘bit player’ in the Cold War for 40 years, I’d assess this game as more of a ‘Special Forces’ training aid.

So very realistic – the characters, the dialogue, the breathtaking settings & weather patterns. It is different, every time, every situation you find yourself in. For a 10 year old game, this still gets top marks from me; I really feel I’m there.

yes, there are minor issues concerning some detail, like the wall clocks all showing the same time, but you hardly notice them. Go for it!.

Far Cry 2 had alot of potential to be a great game but is plagued by silly mistakes which stop it from achieving greatness. Constantly respawing enemies at checkpoints could of been solved by putting a respawn timer on the enemies but no as soon as you move away from a checkpoint and then go back the enemies reappear.

Weapon degradation whilst an interesting idea on paper becomes nothing more than an annoyance with weapons jamming constantly after a short amount of time. The less said about the poor malaria gameplay element the better as that is also is a poor choice from the developers.

You have to take medication and regular intervals to keep you from dying but much like the weapon degradation and and respawing enemies becomes nothing more than a pain in the backside. The visuals at times can be quite lovely but have aged somewhat since its release and gunplay doesnt hold up all that well anymore.

The multiplayer is where the game shines with a creative map editor and fun game modes. The user made maps in this are nothing short of amazing. You can find levels based on areas from the Lord of the Rings movies and various other forms of media propeties.

Despite the below par gunplay alot of fun can be had with the multiplayer and if you do buy it I recommend trying the multiplayer.

This game was awesome! My kids are loving this! We felt so lucky to find the game with the actual unopened cards inside! Has a great play and story that goes with the 5D’s characters.

If you are a fan of Yugioh this game is a must have! This game features almost every card from the yugioh series which opens the door for many great deck ideas. It is very user friendly which makes it great for those just starting but also allows for the harder strategies of an expert.

You can duel online against friends or anyone in the online community. Overall I believe this is one of my best game purchases because it has endless replay value and is a great way to duel when your friends are all busy!.

I love playing all of the Far Cry games, they are all so much fun and so exciting! But the Primal game in the series is one of my favorites by far. Even though they are speaking a “ancient”(made up) language it provides subtitles and the graphics are beyond amazing.

The scenery is beautiful, along with the animals. The gore is crazy realistic as well. You have to hunt for your own food to restore your health/energy. Search for different furs, plants, berries and other things to craft to get better and further in the game.

This game makes you feel as if you are right in the game, once you get into it you could be stuck playing for hours and not even realize how much time has went by. If you are looking for a new, fun , exciting, storyline game to get into this is something you should really check out you will not be let down.

I had never heard of this game, it seems it’s a side project to the main Far Cry games. My brother hounded me to get it and I’m so glad I did! It’s fun because it’s different to the usual shoot ‘em up games with war tactics and guns.

You get an awesome bow, spears, and best of all you get to tame predators that become your sidekick (you need it when everything is trying to kill you!) My favourite was the sabre, you can mark enemies and he will run after them and take them down.

You also have a Hawke which flows over and tags enemies for you. Sadly the ending was pretty lame, but all in all I was bummed it ended. It is fun to immerse yourself in a cave man world and do something completely different!!.

When this game was released I was unsure about it, thought it would be rubbish, being a Far Cry fan I eventually bought it. And Im really glad I did. Its much the same as all the other Far Cry games but with no guns or vehicles.

If you are into Far Cry and havent played Primal then I think you will be pleasantly surprised with this one. It isnt as bad as most reviews have said. Go on, get yourself a copy now.

This is one of the best horror games I’ve played in–literally–years. Creepy; scared the crap out of me a few times. The cinematics are incredible. The storyline is intriguing. The game-world is immersive, impressive, and changes–you’re not just grinding your way through a Raccoon City for the entire game, for example.

I was actually a little sad when I completed it: I had some fond memories of certain areas. You can change from first to third-person view if you like that better. The game mechanics are slightly restricted to retain that “Oh, crap!” element–you’re character won’t move like a character in Gears, for example; it’s a little more stiff, yet you can still take cover, sneak-attack, and all that jazz.

The game has auto-assist aim for those who are newer. Lots of great features, and, as I mentioned, an incredible story-line and game play experience. Last, as with the RE franchise, after you complete the game, you can carry-over all your equipment and upgrades into a new game; however, you can only play at or below the level you’ve completed in that mode, so you cannot complete at Casual and then jump to a higher level with all your gear and upgrades.

You do have to view the back cover to discover that you will need a steam account to play this game. I did not know this and, still waiting to install the game. Getting close to 2 hours now. And my pc has a 9th generation processor.

And still taking forever to install the game. Hope it is worth it.

I didn’t really play the first game on the series. It felt like a clone of resident evil 4. While the 2nd is a different game altogether. It still struggles to build on its own ideas. It’s a mix bag of other game ideas and they are done poorly in this title.

It’s a couple of the last of us gameplay and crafting. Mixed with silent hill horror and over the top storyline, while taken things from f. e. a. r with its jump scares. The game lasted me around 17 hours on my first play through.

But I felt it over stayed it’s welcome towards the end. For under 10 it was a decent experience. But isn’t a solid game. There is issues with combat. Gun play is horrible and there’s a big when an enemy is too close you end up shooting through them.

But if you enjoyed the last of us combat controls you’ll enjoy this game.

THE GAME: In my opinion, Bioshock 2 is the best one in the series. Greatly improves and optimizes all the gameplay elements from the first Bioshock. Has the strong emotional and solid writing from Infinite – without getting lost up its own a$$ Shows you a side of rapture which feels fresh enough to distinguish itself from the first one.

The only downside to Bioshock 2 is that I cannot recommend it without first playing, or having some good knowledge on Bioshock 1 – the way Bioshock 2 is written feels like it takes for granted that the player has played the first one, unlike Infinite that can be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

Personal opinion – that does not count for the review, Bioshock 2 is definitely in my top 10 FPS games list. THIS EDITION: Now, regarding this collector’ edition. This is one impressive boxed set. Everything from the box embossed butterfly art, to the packing for the vinyl and CD, and internal box decor – is just flawless.

I just wish I got this on release, cause when you’re opening up the box, it feels like your journey to rapture already started. The artbook is hardbacked, soli, heavy and flawless quality. By far one of the best collector’s editions I’ve had in a long while.

I’m also glad it didn’t come with a statue or the usual cheap compromises sinceluckily NECA released some great bioshock 2 stuff – which I got years ago to compliment this work of art. I cannot comment on the posters, since I have no intention of opening those up.

I didn’t dislike Bioshock. Frankly, as far as FPS’ go, it was well constructed, and immersive. And that’s really all an FPS is going to give you, as there is very little new ground to break. But Unique? No.

That being said, Bioshock was a spritual sequel to one of the greatest, if not the greatest RPG series of all time, and was too focused on being a best-seller to actually appeal to it’s lineage. So, despite ripping off System Shock in atmosphere, and for almost all ‘creative thinking’, Bioshock managed to stand on very, very shaky legs and make something of itself as an FPS instead, whilst still promising there was an RPG somehwere.

And that was ok, but fans of System Shock like myself believed that would be an end of it – The crap sequel that murders a series. But like The Highlander, Bioshock 2 was then announced, and so far everything that we’ve heard about it sounds just like the hype for Bioshock one.

That it will be a masterpiece FPS/RPG, the BLT of sandwhiches, to replace our old Ham and Egg. But don’t get the mayonnaise out yet. Bioshock 2 is going to face the same difficulties it’s predeccessor did, and just like the original, Bioshock is just going to target the bottom line of gamers again.

(OhIt’sSoShinyThatMakesThisGameInterestingAndUniqueAndThat’sWhyIThinkIt’sTheBestGameEver!) So if you want to continue Bioshock 1, and let them know that it’s alright to feed us bland substitutes for real games just by coloring them really nice and making them look pretty, then buy this.

I’m going to rent it out, because I’m sure it will be immersive, graphically nice and perhaps even have a decent story. And I’m sure it will tear some of the joy of SS2 from my mind, as well. And then, next year, I’ll be renting Bioshock 3.

And when the PS4 comes out, Bioshock 4. And then, 2K will realise that we need something new. And they’ll make ‘Cybershock’, or find a new franchise to destroy. Your money is better spent on Borderlands, Batman, or have a hundred other games that are coming out – That are making a real effort to lure gamers in, that are bringing NEW and INTERESTING things to the party, delivering nothing less than what they’re promising us.

Instead of recycling the same old crap.

Firstly, this IS an FPS above all else, but it is an FPS like no other that has been created, taking just as much foresight and thought as it does pumping rounds into the soon to be dead critters of Rapture! If you’re quick on the uptake, the story unfolds in a manner that you would expect it to, which is just fine by me in this case, because the story was an incredible one, and it is one I have since played through in the “mean” way (taking advantage of the innocents of Rapture) after playing it as the goody two shoes.

though, I have to admit, such feeling as goes into this game. I actually did feel a pang of guilt every time I “did what I had to do to survive!” For an FPS, it really is compulsive playing because unlike its peers, you are driven to uncover the next part of the story.

my natural habitat in gaming is the FPS, but I rarely find one with a story as compelling as this one, and it is one of the greatest I have played since I’ve been in gaming (and yes, I remember such classics as Doom!.

the first time around!!). Besides the story though, there is the weaponry at your disposal, and the unique ways players will develop through the game to dispense with the critters of Rapture. in your right hand, you have a standard array of weapons, which at set points throughout the game will be upgraded.

it’s not always easy to find the upgrade points, but I did manage it, and they work beautifully! Usually coming at just the right points for progression, and by the time you find the points, you’ll know which weapons suit your play style the best (for me, the trusty shotgun was upgraded first.

but then I do love the up close and personal approach to these games) Not only to you have the standard array of weapons found in every FPS but you have such things as Plasmids at your disposal in your left hand, these cover pretty much every other element you may have thought about controlling that the “bad guys” might have, such as fire, ice or electricity to name but 3, each has a different effect and each has a different use.

for example, strike the water with an electrical strike and any critters caught in the water will indeed fry, as you would expect!! Different attacks work better against different critters, and different plasmids suit different play styles! Personally, one of my favorite touches was being able to use telekinesis to lift up one of the bad people of Rapture, and launch them into their friends, because the AI will fight against itself, if you can set it up! There are even mini games to this game where you get to “hack” the electrical items of Rapture, so find a vending machine; hack it and get cheaper goodies, find a safe; crack it and reap the rewards, can’t get through that elusive door? Hack it!.

The mini games on the whole are very very easy, but for the few that set themselves up as incredibly hard, you can use the almighty hacking tool on, or maybe you’re just bored with the mini games. I wasn’t exactly sparing with the hacking tools by the end, as I lost interest in the mini games, but there was always a readily available supply of goodies from a vending machine, even if sometimes it was a bit of a walk! There is literally nothing bad I can say about this game, the only reason I was even bored of the mini games was because I was so desperate to progress the story line (I completed it in a little over a weeks worth of compulsive playing).

It is one of the greats, and available on all platforms! Definitely one to play, and to keep! Looking forward to the the next in the series, which is in actual fact going to be a prequel!!.

Positives: Graphics are an upgraded version of the last game, I’m not complaining it’s beautiful. The music in this game plays so well alongside what you’re doing in game it’s excellently done. The story is great, fun to play but you will check out on the second play through and skip the scenes.

The social side is a little easier, communities easy to find on PS4 so you can grab a raid team and play. Hopefully they’ll develop the guided raids and just give us a strike style fireteam system. Negatives: –Bugs! Honestly if you have a technicolor or Thompson router don’t get this yet, it doesn’t work properly for you, game is playable but you will be booted mid mission A LOT work around available but tiresome, it will be fixed soon enough though and after that it’s a 4* game.

— After Game, basically there’s about 10 hours of after game play missions wise, still able to PVP and PVE but eventually you’ll be seeing nothing, bungie have said they’re aware of this so hopefully they will expand the game for us all.

If both of those are fixes this is genuinely a 5* game I love it when I can play!.

Personally, I do not like Destiny 2. I loved Destiny Taken King. The senseless grind to get powerful gear is so annoying that I stopped playing this stupid game. In few hours I was able to finish the game and then you are left with repetitive grind which after playing for hours often give you gear that you don’t need because of the idiotic random drop.

If you want to play crucible then you pretty much want to be either Hunter or Titan. Warlocks get owned in crucible. Unfortunately, I like warlock so I played mostly Gambit after finishing the campaign which is the only part that I liked about Destiny2.

I hope that people from Bungie buy ESO and learn from it. ESO give you content and the interface is very intuitive. You can connect with other players so easily.

Its got bugs and the PVP kind of sucks. Leveling is difficult and the free world is limited. That being said I love the game and play it for hours on end. I think the game will get better with age as the developers listen to the community.

The game gives you weekly challenged and there is always something new to discover. Like I said if you love the original the sequel is more of the same but better done. You wind up running out of space to explore but with two expansion packs coming the game has a lot of play ability.

As far as being a good first person PVP shooter its OK, there will be better games coming. As far as being a good game its pretty good and if you loved the original Density you will love this game.

Upon playing Splinter Cell I have to say I was pretty impressed. That coming from a hardcore Splinter Cell fan is hard to believe due to the stealth element being removed to a certain extent. I found the gameplay refreshing, loved the tag and kill cinematic they introduced in this game.

It was definitely an improvement from the somewhat buggy Splinter Cell Double Agent. I found the storyline to be well written and interesting prompting me not to skip many of the cutscenes (unlike the first Splinter Cell which I absolutely skipped at all attempts).

The shadow and the light sensor effect in the game was very impressive, removing the old OPSAT meter thing they had in previous games (that was kinda silly). The realism in hand to hand combat and interrogation was also very good, a HUGE improvement on the previous games.

I loved the weapon modifications that were present in the game as well as the weapon choices. Finally, I found the mini objectives very interesting and imaginative, enabling me to have achievements to fulfill on top of the Xbox360 achievements.

All in all, a massive improvement on it’s predecessor, up to date with current gaming standards and gameplay. Will definitely have you up for hours playing! I gave it 4/5 stars due it losing some of that originality the previous games had ( it lacked that little special ops feeling to it to a certain extent).

I will most likely be purchasing Splinter Cell Blacklist in the future! Cannot wait!.

After being delayed time and time again in the previous years, many of us thought that we had seen the last of Sam Fisher in Double Agent. Far from it. Instead, these delays have not just resulted in slick graphics, smooth game play, top notch acting and a terrific fun experience but perhaps one of the best action/adventure/stealth ever made.

Gone is the ‘old Sam’ we knew from pandorra tomorrow, chaos theory and double agent and in its place, we have a man who is on a mission of justice, revenge and conviction. The story is one of the best and memorable i have come across (personally, its up there with Mass Effect 1 and 2), the cut scenes and interactions are just utterly brilliant and i just love the new approach or direction Ubisoft have taken with this.

The main changes is the game play in terms of; 1)Prepare, Execute and Vanish, 2)mark and execute, 3)last known position, 4) interaction/interrogation and not forgetting the cover system, which after playing this game, needs to be adopted in every third person game, as it is just amazingly fluid and so easy to learn and grasp.

Most importantly, Ubisoft have finally managed to make you feel like Sam Fisher by removing previous barriers and instead, making you feel like you are the best agent in the world. The story may be completed in 5-7 hours but do not let that put you off.

The game is full of content; from a prequel co-op mode, deniable ops, and various of splinter cell challenges to complete, this is one of the very few games out there that you could play time and time, never getting old and always experiencing something new, exciting, different and unique.

A worthwhile classic and a defiant must have if you are fond of action/adventure/stealth games. You will not be disappointed. My game of the year for 2010.

Presentation: One of the major new features in SC:C is the way in which major objectives are shown on the sides of buildings and on the environment, and this is a streamlined way of keeping the game flowing.

A strange mechanic that drains the colour from the screen may seem innovative at first, but it turns the environment into a drab lifeless place, the exact opposite of what the game is trying to achieve.

The graphics aren’t the best on the system but do the job well. The voice acting and scripting could be improved upon, especially the enemy script, but the stroy is just about gripping enough to keep you interested and ignore some of the rough edges with the character models.

Presentation is not this game’s strong point. 7/10 Gameplay: SC is a stealth game, plain and simple. The years old mechanics of staying in the dark and quiet infiltration are all in place here, and the wonderfully variated level design helps you to use all of you skills to their full potential.

The major new addition is the mark and execute system, which is balanced right so it doesn’t feel like a cheat but also doesn’t feel useless either. The guns are realistically unaccurate, although this makes every weapon that isn’t a pistol useless, and this combined with a lack of secondary ammo or silencers on most of the weapons leads to the player always relying on the trusty pistol.

Integrated in the game are series of challenges which earn you points to upgrade weapons, but you get enough points to upgrade your weapons of choice within a couple of levels, leaving no incentive to do any more challenges.

Despite this, the single player campaign has many enjoyable set-pieces that helps the game flow and to take the strain off some of the mechanics that get repetitive. A memorable level takes place in Afghanistan and plays more like Gears Of War than SC, and another has you going through a maze of laboratories in an example of some of the best level design a stealth game has ever offered.

This amazing campaign more than makes up for the unbalanced weapons and outdated mechanics. 8/10 Multiplayer: The lack of pretty much any multiplayer except for one mode that doesn’t require you to hurt each other is the most glaring omission here and is the most disappointing aspect of the multiplayer.

But the co-op campaign is a blast as it is completely seperate to the single player and, although doesn’t have the memorable set pieces, uses the co-op feature to the best of its abilities. The other game modes include a simple “eliminate all enemies” type and a “Nazi zombies/horde” game mode, which are fun distraction but won’t last long.

Another major problem with the game is matchmaking. Sometimes the game has put me into a game I didn’t ask for and at points the connection is lost randomly and I am sent to the main menu, making the previous 20 minutes absolutely useless.

7/10 Closing comments: The single player is short, but a coop campaign and various game modes help flesh out this game, but it won’t last many people longer than a few weeks. The game tries to revolutionize the stealth genre, but ends up just improving on an age-old formula.

Final Rating: 7/10.

At first glance, people will immediately see this as an Overwatch clone. It isn’t, in fact, this game is far from that. This game came from the same folks that made Borderlands, so expect the same insanely whacky quips, characters and environments! Choose from a plethora of characters and team up with people online to save the universe! From a four-armed witch, to an adorable Penguin in a deadly robot suit, this game as it all.

Each character plays completely different from the latter and gives a unique experience every time. The leveling system gives you more reason to play! With more rewards every time you level up, this game will keep you asking for more!.

I love this game, but it is definitely an acquired taste. If you’re looking for something just like Borderlands, this isn’t it, but it does have Borderlands-like qualities. The characters are bright and varied and the gameplay is heavily co-op based–definitely a game to play with friends, it’s just not as enjoyable alone.

The storyline is short, 8 chapters, and the PVP has a small amount of maps and three flavors (at launch), all of which are fun, but hard to classify. Is it an arena shooter? sortof. Is it a Moba? Sure, kinda.

Where it shines, like all Gearbox’s IP, is in the character’s story and varied play styles. There is something for everyone and I’d highly suggest giving it a chance (I’m really glad I did).

This game is truly amazing. the game art and character art is incredible. I was not a first person gamer at all. but i had the pleasure of testing this game out and i love it. its fast paced and requires attention to detail and strategy, but it can be a fun game for anyone.

Although the 1st person view is kind of the point, i still would prefer 3rd person and wish the games with a 1st person view allowed an option for 3rd. maybe I’m just not good at having to play with a narrow view.

I’m just going to get straight into the meat of the game and put my conclusion at the end. There are 3 gameplay modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, SnapMap. Campaign and Multiplayer are self explanatory. In SnapMap you can create your own maps and play maps others have created.

I’ll give an overview of the positives and negatives, mostly of the campaign mode. Positives: – fast paced action: constantly on the move, no aim down sights for most weapons, no reloading ammo, always sprinting, have to keep moving otherwise demons will overrun you – platforming is done right, it helps change the pace up and is fun – unique weapons each with 2 upgrade paths – secrets found through the levels (secrets include the ability to replay old Doom levels) – armor and runes upgrades which add more depth and abilities – codex which gives you lore and detailed information about the world and demons of Doom – story/setting is interesting and keeps you enticed the whole game moving you between Mars and HeII – campaign is long and took about 11 hours to beat (not including all the challenges and secrets to be found) – mission select – able to replay old missions and pick up missed collectibles and finish challenges – Multiplayer: lots of variety in skins, fast paced, can transform into a demon – SnapMap: has some amazing levels that people have created, easy to make your own level Negatives: – bugs that prevent some challenges from being completed and some trophies from popping up (played on most recent patch 1.

06) – lack of variety in demons – too fast paced for some (friends complained about making them dizzy) – indoor environments can sometimes become bland – Multiplayer: levels are bland, players are massive bullet sponges, unlocking skins is completely random – SnapMap: not enough variety in the pieces you can place, no outside environments If you played the original Doom, you will love this classic reboot.

If you haven’t played the original Doom, then you will be in for a very tasty treat. This game is oozing with personality. If you are even slightly interested in single player FPS games, then YOU MUST pick this game up.

I don’t even play FPS games anymore but this game just reignited my enthusiasm for the genre. The multiplayer is fun although there are many games out there that do a better job but the campaign mode is where it is at.

It will keep you hooked for days and even after you’re done, you will find yourself wanting to replay the game. It’s that good! If you have the time and money, then I suggest you invest in Doom, a game that will entertain you for many days.

DOOM changed gaming in the 90s with its fast paced and brutal first-person action. Since then shooters have reduced the pace and increased the filler. Even Doom 3 succumbed to the prevailing trends, slowing the movement speed and placing the player in claustrophobic environments with no more than a few enemies to challenge the player at once.

DOOM (2016) returns to the franchises roots and pushes it to the extreme that modern hardware has made possible. There is no button to sprint. Your character charges full speed ahead at all times. The game doesn’t dole out the enemies in small groups.

It throws down the gauntlet and unleashes the horde. From a bloodied Mars base to hellish landscapes the game takes the player to another place and time that shines visually and disturbs graphically.

The sound is spot on with the weapons thumping the bass and packing a punch. Not merely satisfied to revamp the classic gameplay there are added challenges that can be found within each level as well as upgrade options for your armor, stats, and weapons.

This game is a love letter to the early days of the first person shooter but it also manages to feel new. It demonstrates that the elements that made the FPS revolutionary in the 90s are still brilliant today.

This is a good time to be a FPS fan. There’s been a renaissance of sorts with current-gen where multiplayer used to come first, single player stories and fun second. The script has been flipped with the revivals of both Doom and Wolfenstein: the New Order.

(Heck, Wolfenstein has NO multiplayer at all, and is oh, so much better for it!) While Wolfenstein focused primarily on story-telling, Doom hits the ground with “fun first, and immediately” as its mantra, and, like Wolfenstein, is now one of the two FPS games I simply won’t entertain the idea of ever trading in.

Unlike Doom 3, which was met with mixed reviews, but undoubtedly agreed upon that it signified a change in the series, Doom goes back to what made the first two so great and so re-playable. Wave after wave of demons, mass firepower, ammo, health, and power ups galore, and the unapologetic feeling of glee of just plunging headfirst into battle.

Everything about Doom is just a throwback not only to greatness, but to an originator of the entire FPS genre, except where it matters: graphics, sound, and the mild improvements to gameplay that keeps a series moving forward.

It doesn’t make the same overall changes to Doom that Doom 3 tried to, making it feel like a different game altogether using a license to characters; no, it returns to its roots wholeheartedly, and in my opinion, is a much better game for it.

For lovers of the first two games, original levels are hidden in each new level, begging to be found and added to your collection to go back and play for nostalgia’s sake later. Don’t hesitate on this- and if you haven’t played Wolfenstein, order or pick that up from Best Buy, as well, along with its standalone, Old Blood.

The folks at id/ Bethesda have given us two absolutely FUN games to play that pack more freshness than the past decade of Call of Duty has. Support is needed to ensure we keep receiving these types of FPS that place emphasis on a single player experience that, at minimum, matches the fun of multiplayer.

With the announcement that id/ Bethesda is also reviving Quake, we can only hope it marks the full return of the 3 biggest players of FPS that I grew up with. After playing these first two, Quake will be a no-hesitation purchase, for sure.

Probably my favorite game next to Kingdom Hearts. This game in my opinion, will give a lot of chances for replay without feeling bored. There are multiple character stories and races that offer a different view point of the same world.

The storytelling is top notch and is very engrossing. I really wish they would remaster this for the newer systems. If you love RPGs, I’d recommend this game and others from the Dragon Age series.

I bought this because I’ve recently fallen in love with the Dragon Age series. If there’s one thing video gaming for 16 years has taught me: Don’t judge a game by its graphics. The game’s graphics aren’t.

terrible per say, but if you’re like me and played Inquisition before origins, then you’re gonna be extremely put off at first. To be fair, I was originally put off by Inquisition, but not because of the graphics.

They’re gorgeous in that game. I was put off by the battle system, at first. I was instantly given a WoW-vibe to it, and thought to myself, “Oh god, no I am not repeating my WoW phase. ” Trust me when I say: you learn to love it.

I haven’t finished this game yet, but I’ll point out what sticks out most to me thus far. Controls: It may take a little while to adjust yourself to the controls, they can be quite wonky. I do not recommend equipping potions into one of your main battle buttons (triangle, X, O) because you WILL end up accidentally using one, and there’s no “Are you sure?” for it or anything, so that’s annoying.

Though, if you’re a baby who plays on casual like myself, you’ll hardly find yourself needing too many potions. Now, the dialogue. Something I noticed with this game is the dialogue differences. This isn’t to say that they’re significantly different from the other games, but that I definitely notice much more humor in this game, and I love every single second of it.

I find myself laughing my ass off with Alistair and Morrigan on my main teams, being that they hate each other. At one point, you may even comment on someone’s genital size. (I won’t spoil it, but it is certainly every bit as funny as you’d imagine) Sarcasm thrown left and right.

It’s everywhere and I love, love, love it. Additionally, I think it’s good to note your protagonist is technically silent. They have a voice, but it only occurs in battles. You might think this to be a negative, but when you hear the voice options you have, you’ll quickly thank Bioware for not making us suffer through long, ear-cringing dialogue with them.

By the way, if you’re a Rogue, get used to: Trap! Trap! Trap! Trap! about twenty times or more every time you enter a dungeon. Romances: Not many romance options in this game, but I wouldn’t call that something to complain about.

The romance options are certainly adequate enough to keep your attention, with interesting sex scenes and compelling personal quests. Without a doubt, you’ll find yourself falling in love with one of the companions in this game.

Or, if you’re like me, you fall in love with all of them and cry because youcan’t romance everyone at the same time. Oh yeah, and your companions can get jealous regardless of whether or not you’re dating them.

Which isn’t bad, but rather cute, in my opinion. It shouldn’t hinder your relationship with them either unless you’ve been flirting with them. Replay value: Now, I haven’t beaten it, and I intend on revising my review after I have done so, however, I can already say now I plan to replay this game.

Bioware does a phenomenal job of providing you with games well worth the money you spend on them, given their replay value. Perhaps not as many path options as Inquisition, but I still certainly long to play as an Elf mage.

This time around, however, I chose Dalish Rogue Elf, because I am a huge sucker for Elven lore and their origins. To specify: you have to be a city Elf in order to be a mage. All mages have the same background story, which I understand, but it is a bit of a nuisance to me.

So yeah, that’s all I have to say for now! I’ll definitely revise this later on.

I love this game and always go back to it. Being able to choose your origin, character race/species, and what class you are is amazing. I especially love the fact that there are different stories for each character.

You could start off as a noble or be a Dalish elf. That’s something I missed in the newer games. I also loved how big the selection is for mages. The newer games seemed to limit the mages and I’m not entirely sure as to why they did.

This game made it feel like you were apart of it. The characters were also great and I enjoyed going through their personal stories and making friends. and enemies throughout the game. The choices are never truly right or wrong, it’s up to you and how you feel about the situation at hand and sometimes you feel regret over the choices you make, but that’s what makes the game so interesting.

I love this game a lot and hope the newer games bring back that personal connection again.
