20 Best Zelda Rom Hacks (2022 Updated)

If you really wanted to play this game and actually enjoy it, then make sure you either have friends that have the same game, or have two other siblings/cousins. This game have strategy and puzzles, and you can unlock items in the game by completing the quests.

The major problem I had with this game, is that there is three Link characters. You play as one, and you invite two other players to play along with you. Well, you can’t just have you and one friend to play.

You have to do either you and two friends, or just play by yourself. The game is a complete waste of money, and I only played it three times. I haven’t even touched it in a very long time. This is NOT a game that you want to start out with if you want to get into the Legend of Zelda.

Just pretend this one isn’t even there.

This latest title in the acclaimed Zelda series is, unfortunately, the weakest entry to date. The game is built around the premise of 3 player co-op. While that sounds fun on paper, the problem is that it’s largely an absolute requirement in order to play the game.

Three people (who all have their own 3DS) can play together locally. Two players can play locally, but only if they find a third partner via the internet. You can also play by yourself locally if you have two online partners, but that is mired with a few problems.

The first is that the online connections are spotty at best and if you get disconnected – the game ends. Another problem would be the lack of voice communication that you would find from someone in the same room.

There is a strictly single player mode that can be attempted if you don’t want to play over the internet, but because most of the puzzles in the game are meant to be solved by three people at once, it quickly turns into a repetitive juggling act This is made worse by the fact that the game’s structure is already repetitive due to it’s “quick session” design.

As a matter of fact, the game was intended to have players go through the same areas over and over again to get better scores and unlock different items. Not a great setup when a single run itself is a chore.

After a few hours of aggravation and a generous second go at things the next night, I was done with this game forever. I have completed every single one of the previous 17 mainline Zelda games released on Nintendo systems for the past 30 years.

After the absolutely amazing “Link Between Worlds” released for the 3DS in late 2013, I don’t know what they were thinking. I guess they had to slip up eventually.

I don’t think I’ve played a more entertaining or interesting game. The game starts off as silly and soft, making the player think that it will be an entertainingly easy adventure, but it suddenly gets serious and hard.

The fact that both the parts mentioned are perfectly supported by the music and visuals is great, but the fact that the game takes such a huge transition without losing focus of the player is amazing.

The costumes that you get throughout the game help the player get through levels easier, without making the experience of the level boring or stale. There are 32 levels in the game which the player will need to conquer, and three other challenges to go with each level.

The challenges give the players small setbacks, a limited time, something to carry, or something to complete. The challenges themselves are fun, and getting through them can unlock some useful costumes.

Overall, a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend this game.

It works exactly as intended, the product is of good production and quality. No faults, good looking model. And of course works as it is intended to with amiibo compatibility.

Having grown up with the Zelda games I was excited when my son began to show an interest in them as well. He and I both love cartoons and so we purchased and watched this DVD set. Simply put, he loved it.

He eagerly waited through every episode to see if Link would get a kiss from Zelda and when he would say “Excuse me Princess!” Having never seen the series as a kid, I was disappointed that most episodes were formulaic.

Ganon goes after the Triforce, Link stops him. Initially I was put off by Link’s rebellious attitude and smarmy comments. Having spent hundreds of hours over the years with a character who says nothing made it hard to accept the way our hero is portrayed.

Many sound effects come straight from the original Legend of Zelda game. All in all, enjoyable and fun to watch. The three disc set contains all 13 episodes with some of the live action Super Mario Bros show episodes as well.

The DVD set is pretty good deal, instead of buying each DVD separetely. It is interesting to see the episodes, it is not really funny these years, but the interesting moment is always waiting for Link to say: “Excuuuuuse me princess”.

A conflict I found on the DVDs, once you chose an episode, you will see a Super Mario intro, then the Legend of Zelda title introduction, then you watch the episode, then a “Mario dance” and credits at the end of the episode (just as you were watching a TV episode without commercials).

So, if you are up to watch the episode (just as the other Legend of Zelda DVDs), you have to go to that proccess. If you press skip, it goes the Super Mario, then Legend of Zelda, then Credits. The only way ‘faster’ is to forward it (x4,x8,x16.

etc) This conflict goes as well to the “PLAY ALL” link from the title screen. It is annoying to see much interruption than the episode starting. Other than that, seems good. Don’t expect much from these episodes, as I said, it is entertaining, but it was made on 1989, where most ideas came from the game “Zelda II: Adventures of Link” for NES.

It’s rather cheesy at times. the scripts aren’t the greatest in the world. and somehow, I just don’t see Link acting more like a young Kirk Cameron than the noble and heroic boy. At any rate, fans who are old enough to remembering watching the Zelda cartoon during the weekly Super Mario Bros.

Super Show should pick up this DVD. You’ll love taking yourself back in time to the glory days of NES cartoon series. So, what’s good? – reliving a childhood cartoon series, the characters are based on a classic video game series, the animation is actually fairly good and they use sound effects straight from the original Legend of Zelda game itself – oh, and let’s not forget the catchy tunes.

So what’s not to love? – Well as I opened with, the stories aren’t particularly well developed, but for a 20 minute cartoon shows based on a fantasy video game, I suppose they could be worse. Link has an attitude of a rebellious teen and that just doesn’t fit the image we have of our little video game hero.

I also have a problem with the fact that they always seem to kill off Ganon with about one hit. so much for being an all powerful evil wizard. ? Putting these minor inconveniences aside, reliving childhood favorites seems to be a huge market these days in terms of DVDs.

This set has three discs, but is really only about 13 episodes with some pretty weak extras. Also, fans who didn’t grow up with this cartoon or who jumped into the Zelda scene sometime after A Link to the Past, may want to stay away from this.

they might find it annoying and stupid. As for those of us who grew up watching this cartoon and Mario Bros. and Captain N it’s a definite buy for the collection.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri-Force Heroes is a different Zelda experience, but a great one! You’ll find yourself in Hytopia, a fashion driven town. Here you can buy and equip costumes, which have special abilities.

The actual gameplay is really cool too! You can play online with 2 other people, and take on multiple dungeons. Or you can play single-player, with the dopples. Overall a very fun Zelda game, that I would recommend to fans of the series.

I dont know if Im not too far in the game, however it just feels like the world isnt large and I think it might be to the small overworld, but that might be just me. Anyway still a fun game but needs more stuff (maybe extra modes).

I wish the figure was scaled to the others

This is a remake for the original game that came out in 2002. Surprisingly, the artwork of this game remains appealing after all those years. bright colors and images that pop out. The story is rich and suspenseful at times too.

There are new additions to the game-play like the hero mode, swift sail, picto box now holds 12 photos at a time, tingle bottle, and no need to press pause to equip a certain item. do it in real time with the WiiU gamepad.

and many more secrets!!! you’ll love this game either if it’s your first time playing it, or if you are revisiting because of nostalgia. Some of the songs have changed though.

If you haven’t already played then go out and get a copy. If you have already played then go out and get an other copy. Highly recommended.

Top of the disc was covered in a weird, very viscous, sticky substance. No idea what it was from but I felt that if I hadnt removed it before putting it in the console it couldve damaged something. Other than that pretty good.

This is a zelda game, there’s not really much to say about it. This game has a new aesthetic look , but is design to be similar to a link to the past. The map is very similar, as well as the gameplay.

This game offers 2 new things to the mix. The first is that it gives you the ability to become a 2d figure to stamp yourself to the walls to find hidden items or reach new places; this is the main gimmick of the game, which is a good addition that looks great on 3D.

The other main change is that, instead of finding items in dungeons, they are all available from the start for lease or purchase. There’s this funny lad that appears in links home, and if you want to, you can rent any item that you might need on each dungeon, but you loose it if you die.

I preferred to instead farm a little bit and purchase them all. In general, this is a good 3ds exclusive you don’t want to miss.

Recently, I had bought myself a copy of “The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds” and although, I have not completed it yet, I am really enjoying it. The shipment was also very fast, and the cartridge was functional and clean.

My only gripe would be that the case was a bit beat up; nicks in the plastic that holds the cover art, also the cover art was very wrinkled, like it may have had water on it at some point. But other than that, my experience with DKoldies was very positive.

A Link Between worlds is unexpectedly the best 2D Zelda. I like lttp but I feel like other zeldas do what it does better, its not my favorite thats all. I loved links awakening, so it was hard to decide.

But this is such a masterpiece. Narrative, gameplay, the rental system. I love how Ravio uses the rabbit reference from Lttp cleverly, it feels so natural. I like the idea of renting weapons, even if I just grind rupees and buy them anyway.

The mechanics of the rentals, lorule, and painting link are some of the best in the series. A Link Between Worlds is a masterpiece, and the best game on the 3DS, highly recommend!!!.

Without a doubt not only one of the greatest in the zelda franchise but one of the best games on the snes. If you have never played this game. You must be living under a rock. It’s an absolute must play for anyone.

While it is definitely overshadowed by some of the more famous games in the zelda series like ocarina of time, or breath of the wild, but nothing beats a classic like this. This is one of those games where it almost seems silly to leave a review. It’s classic. It’s iconic. This is my personal favorite Zelda game, and I’d consider it a must-play for anyone who enjoys the series.

I’d also highly recommend it as a starting point for someone new to the series. While it’s often overshadowed by OoT and now BotW, this game is where a lot of themes, music and items in the series originated.

This was the first time gamers guided Link to the Master Sword, or heard Zelda’s lullaby (even though it wasn’t called that yet). On top of the history, it’s just a fantastic action-adventure experience with two vibrant worlds to explore.

The copy I received shipped quickly and was in great condition.

So my 7 year old gamer son. Didn’t want another Wii game from Santa or some other modern game from Santa. He wanted specifically a SNES GAME: Legend of Zelda Link to the Past! Thankfully Santa was able to get it off ebay along with a booklet.

And daddy has a SNES to play it on. It mystifies me why he wanted this old game, but I feel a little moved he likes retro games likes his dad. Merry Christmas!.

This is the best game ever made (literally and my personal opinion). I started playing this game as a kid and still have the original version I play from time to time. This games story is like none other – Link, a young boy who must save Hyrule from Ganondorf but is too young to take this on.

So he must “travel through time” to become an adult and take on the quest. The game has plenty of fun, creative and challenging temples/levels. There are side quests that tell you more about the setting of Hyrule and it’s characters.

You will love this game and fall in love with not only the characters but the story!! I highly recommend this game to anyone!.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is only a good game if you hold some form of nostalgia about it. At the time of this review being written, the Legend of Zelda franchise has gone leaps and bounds ahead of this title in terms of gameplay.

Entries such as The Wind Waker, Breath of the Wild, and Twilight Princess are outright superior to Ocarina of Time in terms of gameplay and graphics. This is only to be expected, as Ocarina of Time released over two decades ago at the time this review’s writing.

Those who love this entry to the series only enjoy it due to nostalgia, and the fact that it was a massive technological leap in terms of 3D video games when it was released. But if you hold no such nostalgia for it, and have played newer Zelda games, it isn’t worth your time.

This version specifically is not a remake, it is a re-release, and as such it does not improve on the original title in terms of gameplay. The original Ocarina of Time was created for the Nintendo 64, which allowed the gameplay to revolve around the player sitting down and dedicating a good chunk of time to playing.

A handheld console like the 3DS allows gameplay to revolve around short gaming sessions and short bursts of plot and story, this does not mesh well with Ocarina of Time. You should not purchase this game.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was an OK game for the N64. I didn’t really enjoy it too much and I didn’t believe it deserved all the praise it got but it was a revolutionary title in the Zelda franchise.

However, the Nintendo 3DS remake is a way better experience. The new visuals, gyroscope aiming, and inventory management really make this remake a whole lot better than the original. It sounds good, the controls are good, and the classic music throughout the game really sell it.

The game also comes with the more challenging Master Quest, a version of the game that is mirrored, has different dungeon layout, and you take more damage. Master Quest takes a game that is mediocre in difficulty to 11.

Even though it has all this good stuff there are a few gripes I still have and some new ones too. The horse race for Epona is still very challenging. If you just touch Ingo’s horse, you slow down and it doesn’t help that Ingo has infinite spurs.

The other thing is how the inventory is handled. The actual inventory is good but I keep wanting to press START to go into it when you have to press a tab on the touch screen. My final complaint I will list is that the map is on the top screen on the corner when it can be on the bottom screen and be bigger and show more detail than the worldmap that is on the bottom screen.

All in all if your a returning fan of Ocarina of Time or a new comer to the 3D Zelda scene or new to Zelda in general, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is worth it.

IšverstiShow in original languageIts Hyrule Warriors on the go! Initially released on the Wii U, Hyrule Warriors Legends is the 3DS version with some extras not found in the original game. One of the new and exciting features of this game is the new characters available to play as, including the all-new female Link named Linkle.

Aoother great feature this game introduced is the ability to switch to another character mid-battle and continue fighting. The game itself is a terrific port of the Wii U version with the only downsides being the graphics are not as nice as the Wii U and there are less enemies that appear on the screen.

Other than that, you have a great and portable way to enjoy Hyrule Warriors whenever and wherever you please.

She wields crossbows and not a sword. Its a new twist to the game series which I like, and being able to change characters mid battle is also a cool new feature that they added into the game. I am a huge Zelda series fan and this game did not disappoint in the slightest.

It has mission style battles and battle is simplified for newer players. I have played every title and this is my number 3 to oot and mm. Simply put if you enjoy smash style characters, Infamous battle style, with mission objectives, then you will like this title.

I wasn’t expecting much beyond a neat collector’s item, like the Mario version last year, but I’m surprised to find that I’m having quite a lot of fun with this little handheld. I find myself reaching for it to play classic Zelda games more than I thought I would and just having a lot of fun with it.

The games are what they are — a selection of classic Legend of Zelda titles. With the exception of the Vermin re-skin and the clock “game,” you’ve likely encountered some or all of these. The only criticism I have is in regards to Link’s Awakening.

It feels odd to include the original GameBoy version rather than the upgraded GameBoy Color DX version. Could be a hardware issue, I suppose, but I doubt it. More likely it seems like the intent was to include the “classic” version of the game as it was originally released.

If so, fair enough, I suppose, but it is a definite downgrade from the DX version. (Then again, there is an enhanced Switch remake of Link’s Awakening readily available if you want to play the absolute best version.

) However, I have to hand it to Nintendo — these are three fairly meaty adventure games all packed into one convenient system, with lots of features (including alternate language versions of all three games).

The unit itself is of nice quality. It is very light and easy to carry around. The buttons feel good, if a little small, and the screen is nice and bright. It doesn’t play as well if held at an angle, but it’s pretty unlikely that you’d won’t be playing it looking straight on.

All in all, highly recommend the Zelda Game & Watch. It’s not the 3D All-Stars treatment I was hoping for to celebrate 35 years of the Legend of Zelda, but it is a fun little handheld system.

Brings back a lot of memories. Pure nostalgia. It has its drawbacks of course. Its small and not too great for big hands, and its pretty pricey. There are definitely better, and cheaper ways to go about playing old titles like these, but its Nintendo and i dont mind just giving them my mo ey half the time, lol.

The gameplay is exactly what you’d expect and controls and everything. There are little secrets and easter eggs built in so thats cool. Especially if you forgot how hard these games can be and want a small leg up.

Typing Zelda as the name for the 1st game isnt one of them this time around, but there is a similar “cheat. ” I’m sure most people under the age of 40 wont have a clue what im talking about there, haha.

It’s not really something young kids will probably like at all. I have two 11 year olds and a 9 year old and they didnt like it at all. Their loss. This really is more for older people that grew up playing these games and maybe even owned the orignal game and watch handhelds.

The original games from those handhelds are on here as well. They dont hold up all that well, but thats what thebother games are for cause they absolutely still do. All in all, its pretty cool to own and the battery lasts decently well and charges with usb c thank god.

Id possibly suggest going with something else for this price like a raspberry pi or something that will hold more if not all 8bit nes game and more. I would recommend it more if it were like 25 bucks top.

Having grown up as a Nintendo fan, I would sneak over to my cousin’s house across the street to play Zelda on the NES as a kid. The Game and Watch consoles were a little before my time, but I do remember seeing one year after they came out and for their time they were amazing mobile experiences.

Never did I think as a kid that I would one day be able to carry around a Game and Watch with a full NES Zelda experience on it. While the concept today may seem uninteresting to the younger generation of gamers, this is a nice nod to the rich history of Nintendo and Zelda that makes a great collectible.

As far as what is on offer you get the two Zelda NES titles as well as the Gameboy version of Link’s Awakening (not the color GBC version available on the same cart). On top of that you get a cool clock screen saver that you can control Link at any time, as well as a Zelda version of the Game and Watch Vermin title.

The quality is good with the gameplay is great. The buttons are mushy like they were back then, but the picture is great for such a small screen. The sound is good, though mono. And features like a rechargeable battery with USB-C cable included are nice features.

All around for Zelda fans this is a must-have. For those lukewarm to the series or with other ways to play them (NES, Virtual Console, etc, etc) then this might be a pass as the asking price of $50.

Link Between Worlds is an amazing and quite incredible game. I love it! The story, the characters, the graphics, the game play and all the rest, all of it absolutely fantastic! There is so much to do, to see and to discover! This and all Zelda games are for life.

You can play all of them multiple times and never get tired or bored. Thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable! 10 out of 10 and lots of golden stars!.

If you’ve played Link to the Past, you’ll be relatively familiar with the map but Link Between Worlds really shakes it up nicely in its “dark world” (Lorule in this case). Plus the wall merging is a unique gameplay mechanic that leads to some fun and challenging puzzles.

Would recommend for any Zelda fan that hasn’t played it before like me.

Set some time after The Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass opens with Tetra and her pirate crew along with Link chasing down a ghost ship claimed to have taken sailors and residents of the local islands. The crew discovers the ship, but when Tetra goes aboard to explore, she disappears.

Link attempts to follow her but ends up adrift in the ocean. Link later recovers through the help of the fairy Ciela, who has some amnesia about her past, and an old man named Oshus, who help Link on his quest to find the ghost ship and reunite with Tetra.

To that end, they enlist the help of the reluctant Captain Linebeck and his ship after saving him from the Temple of the Ocean King; Linebeck only offers to help with the expectation of finding treasure along the way[5].

Link discovers that to learn of the ghost ship’s position, they must find the Spirits of Courage, Wisdom, and Power, using maps and clues hidden in the Temple of the Ocean King. However, to overcome the evil forces in the Temple, Link must make use of the Sands of Hours within the Phantom Hourglass and possessed by other creatures around the islands to prevent his life force from being drained.

With the aid of the Hourglass, Link is able to locate and ally with the Spirits of Wisdom and Power easily, but the Spirit of Courage he finds looks exactly like Ciela. Oshus explains that Ciela is actually the Spirit of Courage and she lost her memory when Bellum attacked her.

He also reveals that he himself is the Ocean King. Oshus further explains that he and Ciela had to take their present forms to hide from the life-eating monster Bellum, who is the cause of the ghost ship and other evil in the local area, and has taken residence at the very depths of the Temple.

Link succeeds in his attempt to rescue Tetra with the help of the three Spirits, but finds Tetra is now a statue, a further effect of Bellum’s life-draining power. Link is ready to continue but Linebeck initially refuses to help further having come up empty-handed for treasure so far, though agrees to continue once Oshus promises to grant Linebeck one wish after Link’s quest is complete.

The weapon to banish Bellum Link learns that the only way to defeat Bellum is to forge the Phantom Sword from three unique, “pure” metals around the local islands. After collecting the materials and forging the Phantom Sword, Link descends to the bottom level of the Temple, and initially appears to defeat Bellum.

Tetra is freed from the statue form and revived, but before the group can celebrate, Bellum reemerges from the ocean depths and takes Tetra again. In the ensuing battle of the S. S. Linebeck and the ghost ship, Linebeck’s ship is lost, as well as Oshus, and Link and Tetra are captured.

Linebeck reluctantly picks up the Phantom Sword and is able to free Link and Tetra, at the cost of his own freedom, but is able to give Link back the Phantom Sword before Bellum possesses Linebeck and turns him into a Phantom-like knight, but Link is ultimately able to vanquish Bellum without harming Linebeck.

As the adventure closes, the sand from the Phantom Hourglass is released into the sea. Oshus, now in his true form of a white blue whale, readies to depart with the Spirits, while Linebeck, surprising everyone, wishes not for treasure but for his ship back.

After everyone says their goodbyes, Link and Tetra find themselves back on the pirate ship, where it seems only ten minutes have passed for the rest of the crew and they insist that it was all a dream.

When compared to most games, the Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is a pretty good game. But because of the high quality of the Zelda series, it’s fairly middle of the road for a Zelda. After playing it once several years ago and then again recently, I understand better what the programmers were intending with the one dungeon that you have to visit 8 different times – each time you’re a little stronger/better so it shows growth.

But it does get a little tedious having to go there so much. However, this game is TONS more fun if you have a friend with the same game to play with! My wife and I each have one and we play together.

The multiplayer mode isn’t great, but it’s the ability to trade treasures and ship parts with someone else that makes it fun. What might only get me 50 rupees on my file might get a friend 1500 and vice versa.

In this way not only are you looking out for valuable things for yourself, but also for someone else. Plus trading extra ship parts is easier to get a full set. 8/10 Stars.

Following the events of The Wind Waker, Link sets on a quest to save his friend Tetra from the ghost ship that kidnapped her. With the help of the fairy Ciela (who has Navi’s sound but isn’t nearly as annoying as her), Link travels through temple after temple solving ridiculous puzzles and meeting a lot of weird, funny, and even loveable characters.

That, in a nutshell, is why I like this game! It’s definitely an underrated gem in the Zelda franchise, overshadowed by other successful games. The graphics are good (considering the time period of this game), the writing is excellent and the story is even better.

The twist at the end where Oshus is the Ocean King? My mind was blown away. All in all, a must-play game for any ds/3ds family owner.

Hyrule Warriors is a super fun and charming game. It’s really easy to pick up and play, but also has enough variety to keep you engaged for hours on end. Worth checking out even if you’re not really a Zelda fan as the Zelda aspect is really just the aesthetic icing on top of an already great game (rather than a cheap gimmick to lure in unsuspecting fans).

On the other hand, if you are a Zelda fan who is new to “hack n slash” or Warriors-like games, this could serve as a great introduction to the genre. Even if you already bought the original on the Wii U, I would still highly recommend getting the Switch version because it adds quite a lot of new content (playable characters, enemy types, boss enemies, story maps, adventure maps, and fairy mechanics) as well as some quality of life improvements.

THIS IS NOT AGE OF CALAMITY Buyer beware: this is not the same game as the recently-released “Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity”. I was excited to find the game for $10 cheaper here than everywhere else.

However, only after downloading it for my son on Christmas morning did I realize that I had bought the “Definitive Edition”, which is a re-release of a Hyrule Warriors game from a previous console – not Age of Calamity.

And, of course, digital video games are non-refundable. So now Target has an extra $49. 99 and my son has both Hyrule Warriors games 🙂 I’m sure it’s a great game, but make sure it’s the right one first.

Packed with content and extremely fun to play, Hyrule Warriors is a worthy entry into the Zelda AND Warriors franchises. It has all of the memorable characters and locations of Zelda with all of the mindless, minion-slaughtering action of Dynasty Warriors.

The story is passable, though not remarkable. What really makes this game worthwhile is the truly enormous amount of extra content. While there are already plenty of characters to choose from, most of those characters have several weapon types, each with completely unique movesets, so in a sense there’s double the amount of characters that it initially seems like there are.

Weapons are customizable with numerous ability slots, all of which which can be mixed and matched for special bonuses and attributes. In a world where $60 games often last for only 8 hours or so, Hyrule Warriors is a total bargain at any price.

Its content is rich and varied and keeps a dedicated player occupied for dozens, possibly hundreds of hours. All of the series favorites are here and playable: Zelda, Link, Sheik, Impa, Midna, Ruto, Ganondorf, and more.

There are even a few original characters with enjoyable movesets, as well. Some might say that the gameplay gets too repetitive after a few hours, but if you’re the kind of person who absolutely loves the Dynasty Warriors formula of battling thousands of enemies in a huge battlefield with objective-based gameplay and tons of unlockable weapons, then there is a lot to love here.

Perfectionists will play above and beyond the call of duty in order to get a perfect weapon of every type for each character, and even those of us who aren’t so inclined will find plenty of enjoyment from the extra modes.

Hyrule Warriors ranks up with Smash Bros. and Donkey King: Tropical Freeze as a must-own game for the Wii U. If you can find it, buy it.

Nice all around. Good for the game, for showing off on display and for decoration. I have mine sitting on a shelf and they look like little toys. Knowing they worked with the game was great. Now they are just gathering dust.

Maybe one day they will be worth more because of novelty. Could be good to invest in them unopened, but then you cant use them in the game. I bought them for me to use and because I like the good craftsmanship that went into making them.

Great gifts for kids too.

This slightly older-looking Zelda amiibo can just be used every 24 hours. A chest and loose things will fall from the sky (doesn’t work inside buildings). If playing Breath of the Wild it is nice to have a few amiibo to replenish different gear.

The chests she drops contain 1 of a number of different shields or a gem. Don’t use this on a hill or all the loot will roll away from you. If you have lost all your shields in battle or run into a big enemy, well any shield is welcome! All of the Zelda-theme amiibo I have tried so far with my Wii-U work consistently.

I wouldn’t recommend dropping this on a hard surface or you may be sorry.

Link Archer is very helpful when playing the breath of the wild game. When activated it will give you fish, and the chest has either arrows of different varieties, or it has a bow. The amibos have become more expensive since they first began coming out.

That is the only negative thing I can say about any of the amibos. If you love the breath of the wild like I do, I encourage you to get every amibo you can. It wilm enhance your game to a whole new level!.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is, just in my own opinion, the best Legend of Zelda game ever made. It captures the open-world exploration that the series was founded on, brings a whole new level of characterization to the silent protagonist, and is a wonderful blend of natural exploration and linear gameplay.

Everyone has their own personal favorite of the series, but for me, this was the high point, and this HD remake brings all of that back and improves on it. Right off the bat, a brief explanation for those who have never played it before: Wind Waker introduces an open-world sailing design to the series that totally changes how you play.

Islands scattered throughout the huge ocean can be discovered and explored in virtually any order, and the game does a great job of not holding your hand too much, allowing you to really find secrets for yourself.

In between exploring, the classic Zelda gameplay of exploring dungeons and defeating bosses is polished to a shine. The art style was controversial at the time, as a cell-shaded Zelda was not what some fans wanted.

With this HD remake, there is some controversy again because the colours are turned up to 11 and the lighting and bloom are turned up even higher. It is jarring at first, but you soon get used to it, and it creates a great tropical atmosphere to the whole game.

For those who played this on the Gamecube, the HD remake has brought a lot of welcome changes. Besides looking superb in HD, some aspects of the gameplay have been streamlined (less Triforce charts to collect) and new features have been added (a super-fast Sail that change the wind automatically for you).

They don’t influence the overall game too much, and despite being unsure of any such changes at first, I found I really appreciated what changes they did make. The Hero Mode is a particularly great addition, as it adds a whole new level of difficulty to the game that long-time Zelda fans will actually need to work hard to get through.

The only downside to Wind Waker is that it can be quite fast-paced, asking you to learn a lot in relatively little time, and introducing non-gamers to it can take some patience. As long as they are willing to take the time to learn all the controls, however, this is a great introduction to the series.

Overall, this is personally my favorite Zelda game of all time, and remains the my favorite Wii U game to date. It has a ton of replayability, a very long run-time for an average playthrough, and it really raises the bar for what to expect from Zelda.

Your pictures, game tips, and messages may also appear in another player’s game. Take the adventure to new levels with Hero Mode, available from the moment you start the game. In this mode, you only regain health when you earn a new heart piece or container, use a red potion, or visit a fairy fountain.

There are three great “3D” Zelda titles: Ocarina of Time; Majora’s Mask; and, The Wind Waker. Skyward Sword would be good, if they re-released it without the motion controls. And, Twilight Princess was a mediocre game and an unsuccessful departure from the series.

I didn’t bother finishing either of them. The Wind Waker – on the other hand – manages to be a competely unique experience (like Majora’s Mask), while maintaining the tone and integrity of the Legend of Zelda games.

The cell-shaded graphics are fantastic. It is the best looking Zelda, in terms of design / art-direction. For fans of the series, it is a must play. For non-fans, it is a must play. A brilliant unforgettable RPG.

The best game on the system (in my opinion) and truly revolutionary. The game offers tight controls, non-linear gameplay, tons of items and a chance to just explore. This was developed in the early 80’s so video game design hadn’t really matured.

There are some rough translation spots and places where things can get a little cryptic. Players not used to games on the NES may find the game a little difficult. However, despite that, this game remains very enjoyable and is one I replay often.

Play this to see how one of the greatest franchises began.

There are not many games that withstand the test of time. The Legend of Zelda for the NES is one of those. It has an Open World you can mostly explore at your leisure. 9 different dungeons hidden across the land.

Many weapons and items to help you across your quest. Many secrets hidden for you to find. Finally a classic quest to Save the Princess from evil with a second hidden quest that unlocks once you beat the original that changes the location of all dungeons and ramps up the difficulty.

This is a game I can play time and time again and always have fun. Highly recommend it.

NES Zelda was delivered to my apartment here in Houston, TX faster then expected and looks great, plays great, and saves like it should. I’ve played though the entire game in just a few days and everything is just like it was when I bought the original off the store shelf back in the 80’s.

The condition of the cartridge is in good condition, with some minor scrapes and scratches, but you have to look closely. Overall, it still shines suprisingly, and has some very light blemishes, but there are no major damages or tears to the label, and I am extremely happy I researched this company (dkoldies).

I think they are probably the best folks to buy from if you are at all concerned about the physical condition of the game. So what if you have to pay a couple extra measley dollars compared to the other guys.

You have a nice return window if needed, and you know they are going all out to clean and test. Everyone should be supporting them imo. Plus they seem to have the best reviews for their refurbished systems.

Lovin this company, I hope they are here for a while. Please support them so they stick around. The competitors don’t even compare. Just check out their utube and fb vids if you want some proof.

Very high quality! Looks great on my desk at uni. Looks like the pink paint is unique to each model too. 9 just cause I wish it was a tad more vibrant but if you’re still considering getting one as gift or for yourself just get it it’s really fun.

I like him very much I registered him into Smash Bros. Ultimate. I called him Horse and doesn’t horse around. There is nay way he is losing. When ever i have him around no one ever says to me why the long face.
